We were just starting out and new appliances were not an option, we did not have that kind of money or that kind of credit. We went to several used appliance stores and found that we still could not afford appliances. Eventually we did find appliances that we could afford to buy but found later that they really weren?t worth buying at all. Something about this experience stayed with me.

How would you rate Washing Machine Man?
The owner takes money to get a part that doesn't fix it and doesn't give me the money back , come to find out after 3 visits from him a real person assessed the situation and the freezer compresser was shot! He didn't know that ???? He didn't pay back and was never on time. Then he is walking around all over flirting He's on something for sure he was acting nuts!!!! Horrible they are crooks read further reviews ! Seriously don't use them !
I do not see any review that says that they did not stand behind the product. I will admit they could stand to say "sorry for the inconvenience". If you have a problem they will come to your aid

This is a business that aims to take advantage of their customers. They exceed at making a sell yet fail at providing A1 customer service. I wouldn't send my cat to this establishment and I am not a fan of cats. If you can afford your appliances brand new I highly recommend doing so!!!
The staff is very unprofessional, except the friendly technician. They sold me a refrigerator that did not work correctly. When the technician came out a second time after food spoiling again, he said he recommends another refrigerator. I went to the store and Tasha said they had none available at even price so pay more money for a more expensive one if I want one right away. She also stated "put my food in a cooler on ice until they get more in." Buy your appliances elsewhere, trust me.
Very unprofessional! This is why you can't support all black businesses! Lack of knowledge about products, horrible when it comes to getting back to customers and just flat out rude! All they want is your money! This business needs to be shut down!
The technician was very, very friendly and confirmed suggested problem, evaporation fan. So part was "special order " and couldn't be fixed at $99 price, of course not. Okay, but a week, an email and several phone calls later no follow up contact? Duh, manager says he couldn't read model number as written by technician which was the actual part number. A week later, what difference and regardless did this make? Why would customer have to call back to find out there's a fake problem? Definitely fake because a return call back from WMM parts manager/owner a few minutes afterwards had the part ordered and a new scheduled repair date albeit another week away given the Thanksgiving holiday. So foods on the porch and sharing a neighbor's fridge and freezer while having guess, great. Repairs $173.14 with no adjustment for the exordinarily bad service. Was given 90 days warranty extension but question the cost for the part. The technician has no authority to order parts BTW and permission would have been given day one by customer to WMM so that dog don't hunt either.
The washing machine man company does very bad business they don't call they customers to tell them that they technicians are running late.
Made an appointment for refrigerator repair. The technician told me 3 different things wrong with it. Neither he could fix bit then said it needed freon. However, he couldn't do it, so he gave me his "friends" name and number for home to come out. No thank you, by the way he said it was free to look at but he charges $20 not the company. Where do they do this at? Rip off, con artist and very unprofessional.
There appliances are not the same. Techs came out two times . I will never go to them again and will not tell nobody else about them. This is not the original washing machine company. This person told me not to go there I wish I would have listen and read reviews before I purchase.
I've done business with Washing Machine Man for at least 15 years. My 1st washer & dryer I got from them ran at least 7 years with about 3 service calls. The only reason I don't have it is because it was lost in a flood about 5 years ago. I have to agree with the others regarding the delays. But the repairs they have provided have lasted.
Poor customer service called to see if they had a certain size refridgerator and was told i would have to come in and measure them myself
First experience using them and I would not recommend. The first day, they came and took my dryer apart and told me they have to order the part but they didn't know how long it will take for them to get it. The next week came and I set up an appointment because they called and said the part came in. I waited from 10-2 in which is the 4 hour window. When I called them, they said they was running 1 hr behind. I had to reschedule because I had to work and once again, which is today, I had a 4 hr window from 10-2 and it is know 3pm and I had to call them just for them to tell me they are 1 hr behind for the 2nd time in a row. Did I mention my dryer was taken apart and left as is so I have no choice but to wait on them. ****FIRST AND LAST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!****

So far disappointed. ALL the people working for the company are WONDERFUL, but, so far the product is NOT. Have had two washers delivered, and both leaked. The time to deliver, then wait for a repair person now twice, and having to go back and pick a new washer and then wait again for delivery is BAD. The last repair man said he would have the company test a a washer and make sure it doesn't leak. So far have heard nothing and can not wash anything due to the washer I just had delivered is leaking.
What a difference a day makes. They tested a machine for me to make sure it didn't leak. They brought it out the same day. After 6 loads, so far, the machine is fantastic! This company worked with us every time to get a good, working machine into the home. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!!!
Please do not buy from this jack legged company! I'm soo mad right now! They will tell you one thing and do something else...the delivery service is never on schedule on the Saturday! They refused to hall away the old refrigerator because they claimed the old unit had bugs. There was no written or verbal statement about not halling it away due to bugs.

About a month ago I had a technician from a another company come and repair my washer, only to have hime tell me that it was not fixable and that I needed a new washer. I was shocked, and wanted a second opinion so I called the washing machine man. The technician came out and within a hour he had my washer working and it was working up until I gave it away. I would recommend The Washing Machine Man for all washer and dryer repairs and the cost was efficient.
They have nice prices for low income people.

My concern was addressed and fixed in a timely manner. The Washing Machine was polite and very knowledgeable.
We paid for a washer on Friday and it was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. Not only was it not delivered no one even bothered to call and say they wouldn’t make the delivery for Saturday,so we waited for nothing. Then we had to call Monday to find out when it will be delivered and we were told Monday between 2 & 6. No call no show by 4:00 so we call back and was told it’ll be here between 4 & 5. It’s 5:30 and no delivery. 2 days wasted waiting for nothing. Smh. We call back and they say they can’t deliver today and they will be here Tuesday but they will put us on last delivery because other people’s delivery is before ours.how can that be when we was scheduled for delivery on Saturday ?! After all this one would think we would have priority delivery,but no, it’s like we have your money and you will wait on us... never again will they get our business !! ...

went in to store to talk personally to them. wanted them to modify thermostat of a chest freezer so it could be used as a refrigerator-said they would. did not return my emails after that for a month. then told me they would do this the next year. as i recall contacted them by email or text. no response. totally unreliable (the specifics here may be a little off but it is accurate in "spirit")
as to per your response you told me it was easy to modify a chest freezer thermostat so it could be warm enough to serve as a refrigerator i specifically recall. i recall you specifically saying you would do it at a later date. i remember you specifically did not respond to my emails or texts may have the emails proving some of this. you are unreliable.

This place is amazing! Great products, the store staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. The store layout was clear and easy to navigate. They offer a one year warranty with any machines that are at least 150 dollars and free delivery on all products. When the delivery people came, they were helpful, quick and friendly. I would recommend this store to all looking for a washing machine and dryer. I hope this business continues to thrive because it really is a gem!
I have bought several appliances from The Washing Machine Man and each experience has been excellent. I couldn't ask for better customer service, the lovely ladies behind the front desk always do everything they can to help me find the right size and color of fridge, stove, or washing machine that I need. Delivery service is always prompt, usually the next day. And if there is an issue with an appliance, their warranty service is fantastic and their knowledgeable technician is able to come out quickly to get everything back up and running. The Washing Machine Man always does right by me and my company, I don't have any reason to go elsewhere for my appliance needs.

The initial in store experience was pleasant. The delivery was nothing short of ghetto and disrespectful. They pulled up to my house blasting rap music. The driver hoped out the truck using swear words as he talked with his partner. They walked through my house with their foul language. Then when they came down my basement they talked about my family because they thought I was still upstairs. Customers deserve to be treated with respect. Not disrespected in their own home. I will never purchase anything from these people again!
I went in found the washer I wanted, it was on sale so it was affordable, they delivered it to me fast and the delivery men were friendly.

My roommate and I bought a used Maytag washer and dryer pair from the Washing Machine Man. Eight months later, the washer still spins like a top and the dryer still purrs like a kitten. Our purchase included a year warranty but the machines have been working so well, we haven't needed it. It was an excellent deal and it also included free delivery.

This is a store that also stands behind their product with a written one year warranty, free repair service, free delivery, and installation. This will be the first place we go for any needed appliances. They have a whole lot more than just washers!
My mom is having the worst experience with this company. Me and my siblings got together to purchase her a stove. Delivery was a hassle, we gave them her work schedule yet they continue to dismiss that and insist on delivering in the time frame she was at work.
However, the real issue comes in because she hasn’t had her stove for 30 days but the oven has completely stop working. We called and told them about the issue and they said they will send someone out to fix it . We gave them her time frame of when she would be available which is from 3pm - 6pm yet they showed up at 2pm .
This place is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of the work schedule my mom has. She had to leave work early because they choose to go off whatever schedule they wanted. You can tell the customer does not come first with this company .
!!!UPDATE!!! So the technician finally was able to look and see what was wrong with my mom’s stove, she told me he was very pleasant and professional. He informed my mom that in order for him to fix her stove he would have to order a special part that could take about two weeks to come. He suggested for her to go up to the store and swap out her stove since he wasn’t able to fix it at that moment.
So my mom took his advice, he pointed out a stove that was similar to the one she already had. My mom then tried to get the stove delivery. However, here is were the unprofessionalism comes into play. My mom was dealing with the store manager by the name of Ms. T who was extremely rude and displayed a disgusting attitude. She told my mom that she wasn’t going to be able to get that stove due to the price difference, the stove we bought for her was $249 while the stove she wanted to swap out was $269 instead of letting the transaction go through due to the inconvenience of their faulty equipment she insisted that my mom paid the difference. Which my mom didn’t have an issue with but she also tried to make my mom pay a delivery fee. Her agitation filled the room and she kept stating that she was agitated and she didn’t want nobody to ruin her last 30 minutes at work while she was pacing back-and-forth with a hostile demeanor. Long story short my mom will not receive her stove still Saturday which is Mother’s Day weekend and now that’s going to ruin our plans for that day.

If you want low cost appliances delivered to your home with a six month warranty, than call this place. The people that work there are doing right and working hard. I only rated four stars cause I haven't seen the appliance in action yet. Don't want to get to far ahead of myself. When you get there ask for Sharon, she'll set you right with a pretty smile.

Called 4 weeks ago to let them know the gas dryer we purchased from them was making buzzing sounds throughout the cycle for repair under their 12 month warranty coverage period. Technician arrived and said he'd have the replacement part within 1-2 days. Never showed-up or called us back after 3-4 weekly calls back to them this past month. Don't count on any warranty coverage period from this business. We were hoping to give them more business for our rental properties & support a local business, since our initial visit & impression was highly favorable until they spent our goodwill with them avoiding the valid repair claim this past month. Don't supply customers with a 12 month written warranty upon purchase if you don't follow your written agreements.

Updating my review the staff members are professional as well as polite I purchased two items from this business an electric dryer that runs well a refrigerator that I had some unfortunate difficulties with a technician even came out to my home twice trying to fix my refrigerator who was also very polite and very knowledgeable ultimately I believe it was the owner that determined I needed another frigerator because it simply wasn't worth trying to fix a third tiime not to mention the freon wasn't flowing properly they were even kind enough to try to offer me a loaner refrigerator unfortunately with the way I grocery shop that wouldn't work for me it took about a week but they did replace it I was getting impatient however I wanted to wait till something of equal value was available the refrigerator is really nice I haven't plugged it in just yet so I'm not sure how well is runs it was dropped off Thursday evening so I probably won't plug it up till Saturday once I see how it runs ill gladly give this business five stars and I also plan on coming back for a gas stove thanks washing machine follow up I actually did go back and purchase a gas stove it didn't seem to be the best idea when you use it you smell gas the picture that was used was illegal has been for 25 years We Energies actually had to step in and shut it off a gentleman did ultimately come out to the home but determined he didn't have the proper tools to check the oven it's just been a real hassle I don't really blame the gentleman that fixes their appliances I blame the gentleman that actually hooked it up because there's something that they should know not to do I definitely won't be buying anything else from them
Outstanding Value! I needed a 36" high front loading dryer to replace an older under-counter unit, and since all newer models now 39" high, I knew that I needed to locate an older model in order to fit into the space. I stopped at The Washing Machine Man, and discovered that they had several units to choose from. I picked up a nice Whirlpool Duet that nearly perfectly matches our washer for $300, including delivery and a warranty! We have been using it for several weeks, and it has operated flawlessly - Thanks!
I was a long time customer. I recently called to get my dryer fixed. The technician came out and said that he would have to order parts and some one would call us. Long story short, no one called. I called three times. The last call the person that answered the phone said the tech was there, and he remembered coming out. She also said that he would call me back. I still did not receive a call. I am disappointed considering I have had good experiences with this company in the past. I decided that three calls was to many and I shouldn’t have to chase anyone for service. Wondering if my parts ever came in.

Over five years ago I got my dryer from the Washing Machine Man. It's still doing an AMAZING job! Now my washer went and I had to get a new one. Another amazing experience! Works like a dream! Definitely would recommend this place!
Not entirely sure what is going on with the "washing machine man". I've bought several sets of washers and dryers from them over the years and have given so many recommendations for them and led to several sales. They really have been great units and exceeded their price Now my dryer is acting up and wanted to get it repaired or replaced with them again and I keep getting put on hold, after ten minutes twice today, I gave up. I really hope that isn't normal now as I really liked having a quality seller that I could trust. Unfortunately now I am forced to go elsewhere.
Called for service for my 1 year warranty and they came out 2 times but never brung the parts then tried calling them again and they might’ve blocked my number cause it hangs up right away. And then they called me back and said they were going to come and never came tried calling them back and no answers, how you going to have a warranty and not come back and do your job. Thought it would be a nice place but guess they to lazy to come fix what they said they were.
I bought a washer from them in 2016,i still have that same washer,it still works.just purchased a stove and fridge on Friday.im a repeat customer because their appliances are awesome and their customer service is even better.the owner is kind and attentive he actually cares about running an honest business unlike nu2u appliances.GO TO WASHING MACHINE MAN FOR YOUR GENTLY USED APPLIANCES,you will become a satisfied repeat customer as well.
Purchased washer/dryer that were in the store on 3/16 and we requested delivery on Saturday 4/11. The washing machine makes a banging noise and the dryer has never worked - we didn't find this until after they were closed for the weekend. We reported this to them ASAP on Monday 4/13. The washer had to be replaced and the dryer had to be repaired. We were not able to use both our washer/dryer until 4/23. No one can tell me why I was sold broken machines.
Truly the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Every single office representative hung up the phone on me. They have no empathy and refuse to work with me towards any solution. If you're already doing business with them and it's too late to back out: your best bet is to e-mail the owner until you get a response. Only work through him and avoid the rest of the business. If you haven't made a purchase with this company yet and are considering them: STOP. It is not worth the headache.
I have bought machines from Washing Machine Man twice in the 14 years we've lived in Milwaukee. The staff are so nice every time I go in. I got a one year warranty on my washer and dryer and when I needed an upgrade I knew where to go! I did have a small issue with the washer but they scheduled a tech to come out right away and it was fixed AND they gave me an additional six months on my warranty. Even when they don't have something you like......keep checking, they always get new inventory!!! Washing Machine Man has a customer for life with me!!
My husband called week ago to make an appointment for someone to look at our stove. Was told someone will be coming Saturday between 11am-1pm. No one came during this window so he called and was told window hours between 11am-5pm. Poor communication from thus company.
I want to apologize for initially giving this a company a bad rating. Never intended to put this company thru the ringer that was not my intention. Yes there was miscommunication between you and my husband on the service time window for Saturday. Never with my experience with a Saturday service call to any company was there a six hour window. Again this is from
my experience. Someone did come out around 4:30pm and you are correct I was not at home because I was shopping for another stove. The technician informed my husband an electrical component need replacing on the oven unit. Was told part had to be order with a lengthy lead time. Didn't order the part, instead bought a new stove the next day. I will change the rating to more positive one. Yes we have called you couple times in the past for our washing machine and service was good. So going forward, if you decide to place me on "your list" for no future service is OK with me. However you have to spell my name correctly to do so.
Purchased a dryer from them, and if I'm ever in need of another reasonably priced, used appliance, I will call them.
