How would you rate Warmdaddy's?
I loved warm daddy's. I've been at least four times in the past six months. Corn bread that's complimentary is excellent. I've also had or tasted the beef ribs, gumbo, jambalaya, yams, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato cheesecake. All are excellent and I would highly recommend.
the best in a long time me and my baby have had love it and we live in va beach va
the only thing was we waited about 30 mins for a waitress to take our drink order but again.the food and the entertainment made up for the rest of it.
On Friday April 10th I was there celebrating my niece's 21th birthday ! I odred salmon, broccoli, and corn. I asked for well done broccoli it was hard as a brick. I and returned exchanged for collared greens. they were awful. I tatsed my other family memebers sweet potoates, not alll the way cooked. Potatoe salad and green beans were nasty to. The place is very small and conjested. When i see pictures on social media Warm daddys looked huge. i mentioned my experienced to others today. They said i should of asked them before we went. They didnt like it either. Never again.
This place was not bad at all. From the outside it looks ghetto, but then again I am only comparing it to where I am from. The place was set up like a concert hall with tables and a bar. The hostess was accommodating with us, even though we didn't have reservations; she found a spot for us, which worked perfectly. We ordered the Ribs, Tilapia platter with sides of potatoes and rice. The corn bread was fresh out of oven and tasted every much like grandmas. The drink (Mojito) was made the best I have seen. Our waitress was awesome. She was nice and attentive to our needs and made suggestions that enabled us to make good choices. But the most impressive of the meal was the Cobbler desert. I was shocked at the natural homemade taste. Someone actually cut up a real peach and grapes and created this wonderful desert. The peaches were crunchy which added another essence to the crust which was a flaky biscuit like dough. The vanilla bean ice cream brought it all together. It was not like those soggy crap, I was use to eating in so called ZAGAT's best restaurants.
Overall, we liked the experience and it felt great to be in an environment where there people truly enjoying what they were eating. They do have live music, but we had to leave to prepare to depart PA.
On February 10, 2014 (my birthday was the 9th), me and my girlfriends decided to go celebrate at Warmdaddy's. We tried to call for 2 days but the phone was disconnected. We figured that since it was a well known establishment that we were sure it was open. We drove there from Trenton, NJ and was turned away. They stated that we had to buy a ticket for a poetry show (or something of the sort), when ask how we buy the ticket and that we needed 8 (three of us were there, the others were in the parking lot) we were told that they didn't have room for 8 guest. I was completely shocked and discussed. The professionalism of that restaurant is slim to none!! And this is after being there over 50 times in the last 4 years (yes the food is that good), but how they treated us made us never want to go there again.
Love the jazz brunch my absolute fave.....and I drive from Maryland
In literally 9 tries to make a reservation here, we've never been successful. I've tried as far out as 3 weeks in advance. Its bad enough that they take about 20 minutes on average to actually answer the telephone. Thankfully, Chris' Jazz Cafe runs a professional operation and is nearby enough. I'm done trying to get into this place.
I've been a fan of WD'S for years! The best food, atmosphere and fun in Philly!!!!!
Went there on a Saturday night with my family and a friend. We shocked to find out that despite having made reservations for dinner we were expected to pay $15 per person, cash, to get in the door. Once in the place was less than half full and I still took them 5 minutes to seat us. Once seated, our waitress was cheerful and attentive. The menu was New Orleans fair and well prepared and I'm a sucker for good corn bread. The band was loud (when isn't a band loud though) and good enough. I'm still annoyed but that cover charge though.
My family went to Warm Daddy's for my Sons College Graduation Celebration. We were very plese with the service, food and especially the Live Jazz Band( little to loud but enjoyable). Taliah Frazier was a joy to work with and our waitress (sorry I cant remember her name) and help was on point. I really appreciated the hospitality, my family really enjoyed the whole experience. Kudos. We will definitely return in the near future. Thanks for a great time!
I work nearby and have only been when they had the Wednesday Happyhour. Its delicious soul food , good atmosphere. Everything is good but My picks are the mac and cheese, mussels and fried catfish.
The food was horrible. I ordered tilapia and it was very fishy, cheese cake was the worst... old. The band was great but the food ruined my night.
I came in with a group of 8 in which we stood and waited for our reservation. Upon sitting our orders were taken. I sat and watched everyone receive there for except me. When I tried to flag someone down to see me I was bypassed without a second thought. Close to a half and hour later they realized my mistake and tried to pay off my time with a cheap small 7 dollar drink. Let's just say I was so mad I lost my appetite and I will never come back again.
I have been to Warmdaddy's several times now and I have never been disappointed. From the after work buffets, Tuesday AYCE King Crab Legs to the slide by for a quick lunch of chicken & waffles to the seafood combo with that great cornbread and seasoned greens. Always friendly staff and wait service and the bands just compliment the package. I will continue to make that drive from Delaware to eat and enjoy Warmdaddy's.
I must say this was not a good experience besides the entertainment the service sucked the food ok the Yams sucked but the night was a total disaster besides waiting almost an hour for our food we were not really satisfied and everything was not appetizing the waitress put the blame on the manager and the manager put the blame on the waitress they were very unorganized in giving us our food and drinks.....my girlfriend was celebrating her engagement so to make things better they decided to shout her out which went a lil something like this "Happy Birthday Anniversary or Whatever" not to mention they used the wrong names....then to top off the night they double charged me and had to put money back on to my bill and took certain platters off the bill but charged for others what a weird and horrible night for my friend and her fiancé.....like I said the entertainment was great the band was very good but other than that what a waste of time. Will not be going back anytime soon
Wonderful atmosphere, staff, music and food. I went to Warmdaddy to celebrate my Hubby's birthday with their brunch Buffett. The staff was professional and personable. Making sure our food is good and if we need anything. They kept the food and drinks filled. They had a live jazz band and they did a good job. Everyones heads was bopping and I loved seeing my Black brothers and sister's dressed nice and enjoying ourselves under one roof. I loved it!
I luv this place great food and live music best place on earth...
Wonderful atmosphere but horrible food. Yams tasted like they were straight out of the can, potato salad was the worst I've ever tasted, ordered a beer but never received it, cornbread was cold, and to top it off the waitress lost a customer's credit card that was from out of town. The entertainment on stage had to ask all the customers if they found it pls turn it in. Are you serious? Again....wonderful atmosphere but definitely on the downslide.
Food is good... Thursday jazz band is awesome!!
I had an unforgettable experience at Warmdaddy's yesterday. The live band and music was fabulous and the Sunday Brunch was absolutely delicious. I especially loved my made to order omelette, flavorful greens and very tender brisket. Our service providers were friendly and attentive and the host ensured each guest enjoyed their dining experience. (I was with a large party.) It was worth the drive from Baltimore.
4/17/16 -Worst restaurant experience. My husband and I go out at least once a month to different restaurants. Today we chose a movie then dinner at Warm Daddy's. After calling the restaurant ahead of time, around 4:10pm to let the restaurant know we'd be late, they informed us we needed to be there by 6:15PM. We arrived at Warm Daddy's 6:05pm to ensure we'd be on time. We did not see the end of our movie, because we wanted to be sure we were on time for our reservation at Warm Daddy's. We arrived at 6:07 and we were seated right away, about a min or two later the waiter arrived and we ordered our drinks, water and a diet soda. Five minutes later we ordered our meal. However our meal never arrived. We waited until 7:15pm. After speaking to one of the three managers on duty we left. No one apologized, no offer for us being inconvenienced, NOTHING. We will not be returning to Warm Daddy's again. That was our first and last visit. Very unprofessional establishment and management team.
Had an AMAZING time. Food was FANTASTIC. The songstress Tanqueray Haywood was AMAZING... Staff was on POINT... I'll Be Back... (In my Schwarzenegger Voice)
Great atmosphere but the wait was awful. Scheduledreservation at for 10pm and than arrived at 930pm. Waited about 45 minz until we were seated. After we placed our order right away. We waited a hour and a half till our food arrived. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have babysitters.
The entire staff was extra accommodating to my out of town family and my best friend (the Artist "YoYo" LOVED tasting a little bit of everything and was more than delighted!!
Our server Tim was more than attentive to our table...he's a wonderful staff person.
Thank you Mike for taking care and seating us on your busiest day. Can't wait to come back! 💜
The atmosphere, food and live music an absolute groove! The iron skillet corn bread delicious! Kiss the chefs! Going back real soon!
I went to Warmdaddy's this weekend and it was horrible! Service was slow waitresses were rude and management didn't have a clue! We were there for a private white party and decided to go downstairs to have something to eat. We sat at the bar and ordered our food we waited about 45 minutes to an hour for our food. When it came the sides were called and we were informed that everything we ordered was no longer available. We're also waiting for cornbread that we ordered 45 minutes to an hour ago and never received it. We finally ask for a manager and he went back to check on the orders and also for cornbread and came back and said there wasn't any more of that either. This was on a Sunday which is usually a busy day for a restaurant on a regular, so if you know you're having an additional event why wouldn't you plan accordingly. Running out of food at a restaurant is so unprofessional and it falls on being poorly managed. The manager apologized to us and stated that he would give us coupons for another visit and never came back. By this time my husband was really live it and we just left. I was very disappointed, because I love WarmDaddy's. Warmdaddy's menu prices aren't that cheap to receive the type of service that we received, so I will surely have to rethink coming there again to spend my money. It's clear that quality, hospitality and customer service is not a top priority on their list, anymore.
Took my husband there for his birthday 6-4 the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant....the customer service was horrible the things we asked for never got the management team was horrible the food was cold the beers was hot we had to ask for water we got on the way out the door I we had a horrible experience wouldn't recommend to anybody else..the seating are torn up with tape to keep them together just overall just HORRIBLE.......never again
Horrible experience went there was not crowded, waiter was more concerned with grabbing all the tables totally for got our beverages (sweet tea and lemonade) it took 10 mins for that. When it came time to order I was told the only thing I could eat was a salad because they were NOT willing to accommodate a food allergy couldn't even get a burger smh. After another 25min and a totally different waitress I finally got a my salad, they forgot my dates salad and silverware. We were there for 1 1/2 hours for a salad and sweet tea. Never apologized, never came back to check on us. I was grateful to the waitress from downstairs because if we left it to or assigned waiter we would still be there. I'm mean like really, get it together!!!!
Came back home to visit, I was recommended to come here. It was a ehhh-ok experience. I ordered gumbo ya-ya (I believe thats the name), soup was almost cold and tasted as if it was from a can. My husband's food was delicious he stated but since we were Driving back south I didn't have time to try something else. Our waiter was very pleasant, we sat outside at night and was peaceful. My rating was on the food. Won't totally opt out of coming here again when I come back home. Just wouldn't be my first choice.
Came here on my birthday for dinner and it was absolutely perfect!! The service was great, the food was even better. I wish I could've taken a nap after I ate.
We went there on a hot day in the summer & the A/C was not on. They didnt even have a fan to at least attempt to cool the place down. The tables are arranged too close together, so your chair is literally touching the people sitting behind you and next to you. The worst part is their ridiculous time limit policy. You have a maximum of 2 hours to sit at your table, regardless of how much food & drink you order or how long it takes to get it.
Well well well, the atmosphere is beautiful and the drinks and food is awesome, the bartenders should be a lil more attentive and friendly jus let the 1st timers know about the specials for happy hr food and drinks! !!
Well here we go, where do I began? I figured that I would try Warmdaddys since it was my birthday and I've never been before...so me and a friend of mine decided to make the one hour trip to try the spot out and see what all the hype is all about...well we had a reservation at 5:00 and since we were in traffic about 45min in we couldn't get there to about 5:40....well when we got there finally, my reservation was gone...after we called in and asked to hold our table, the person on the other line said that they can hold the table for another twenty min..OK fine....obviously we couldn't get there in twenty min driving those Philly streets and trying to find the place...well by the time we got there, we explained to the host that I had a reservation but was pushed back because of traffic, well the gentlemen couldn't find my name, come to find out that it was taking off because we were late...um okay!! So we were told to wait so that the staff and find a table for us...then some chubby chick with a horrible weave comes over and shows us our table, but before that, she starts lecturing us on calling if were going to be late, um try answering the phone next time sweetie!! Anyway, when we were finally seated, we had to wait another twenty min to get any service...well the gentlemen finally showed up and didn't know we were his table....so far all this just ruined my experience with this place..when we finally ordered our food, which was very quick by the way, I was impressed by the presentation, but not taste... I ordered the low country catfish with candid yams and collard greens...the fish was good but the yams were canned and the greens were vinegary, Overall the place is just ok....not sure if I wanna come back though...customer service is not up to par for someone who drove an hour to enjoy her birthday!!
The experience was nice and the food was delicious but we were forced to move because of sitting here for a while waiting to receive service , and someone had reservations for the tables we were seated at.. so now we have to move but the food was delicious. Mike the manager was kind enough to get discount on meal.
It had 10 empty table in the front of the stage that they was saving for people that never even come . They keep putting people buy the bathrooms to eat. They finally sat me up front and for the next 1 hour that I had to wate for the food to come. Those same 8 table they wouldn't sit anyone I just didn't get it! Saving table for people that is not in the house after the time has passed for reservations. Oh to much sugar in the cornbread & the lemonade. Food was good.
Didnt know i needed a reservation to eat here but other than that the place is great. And has great food. I little small tho
Great food, worth the money you spend. Love the live bands and music also great atmosphere.
The food is delicious! My first time visiting Philly! I will definitely be back! Nice vibe, great food, awesome service!! 5⭐️'s
The food is great. Parking not so much. Service can be rude at times and when it's crowded it can be a headache to place and order.
Dirty dump, This place is all over the radio and people talk about it like its a palace. I couldnt believe that hole in the wall dirty store front restaurant. Well I was there for a rooftop event . that was just as bad. Plus the food has no flavor. Over rated dark and dingy. I dont see how stars go there. Philly has way more to offer! Owners need to upgrade, starting with entrance up to the roof top.
Went for brunch buffet n food was ok, the waffles was good, I prob won't go back for the buffet but will give the regular menu a try also it's really small.
My first time at this establishment because I heard great things. Charged $20 to get in which would have been fine but it took us 15mins to get a drink. The wait staff completely ignored us the entire time! The band was great but not worth the money they charge in comparison to the service! If you have a band that only starts at 7 and 10 at least play back ground music in between...I mean it's not a comedy club!
I'm giving this place the score because 1 the staff is very rude, 2 the fried chicken I ordered was pink and raw inside, our waiter however lashon was polite and delightful she's the only reason we stayed, the turkey wings are delicious but the yams should not be can yams and the collard greens need more flavor, for the price this place charge food should be tasty, too over priced.
Love supporting turae and crazy ass buckwild
Went on a Sunday evening and made reservations first. We loved it! It was pretty crowded but our food arrived really guickly. Our server was just okay but another server was backing her up so we got what we needed. The cornbread, fried catfish, and jambalaya were amazing! Band was also very enjoyable and talented. We will definitely be back to try the Sunday morning brunch soon!
Enjoying the warm and inviting atmosphere of Warm Daddy's for our mother's birthday. The barbecue short ribs were to die for. If you come you must order the skillet mac n cheese with crab meat as well.....DELICIOUS
Great foods, great services and the music is awesome. The waitress was polite. Refill was fast also.
I had a wonderful Time with my Friends on my Birthday Anniversary the food was great and the atmosphere and the Band was awesome I will be going back again
Food was excellent!! My girlfriend and i stopped in for their Sunday brunch. We enjoyed the live music and food vey much. We were walk ins from out of town, we didn't know we needed to make reservations, so we were day at the bar. We appreciated the accommodations. However the server/ bar tender was not very welcoming or friendly.
In all fairness I cannot rate the food because I was so turned off right at the door I didn't get a chance to order. 1st, $20 cover after 7 WHOA! When there is no entre less than $16 or drink under $10 beside beer. I would hope that the talent they have performing is worth that type of $$$.
CAN I GIVE THIS PLACE 10 STARS!?!?!?!?!?! SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! One of my favorite restaurants for sure! The service was spectacular as SOON as we step foot in the door, warm and welcoming. The deck was very cute, jazz music playing and nice bar area. Our server, again AMAZING! Great with her recommendations, and soo friendly! The food - ws the highlight of the place! Hot, fresh, and MOUTHWATERING! Everything from the Skillet Mac and Cheese, to the Mashed Potatoes, to the Ribs i ordered felt like I was having Thanksgiving dinner! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK WHEN I VISITI PHILLY AGAIN!!!
Service and food was excellent. Recommend and will come back, again.
We enjoyed our visit. Our waitress and the atmosphere were very pleasant!! The food was delicious too.
We would visit again! Thank you for the great customer service.
Such a great restaurant of high quality. Philly is quite fortunate to be blessed with this place.
The chicken & waffles was so good. Very nice atmosphere of great people
Reminds me of being in New Orleans
Food was pretty good, but the service on the roof top was ridiculously slow. And after the meal I realized there was an automatic 18% gratuity.. maybe that's part of the reason they move so slow, they know the tip is guaranteed whether they give good service or not...
Awesome vibe. Live music, excellent food. The salmon is amazing! Service is top notch! Our server, Joe was on point, very knowledgeable and attentive! Sure to have a Philly good time if you visit. This will be another go to spot when I come up from DC! Check it out!
I went during happy hour on a Thursday evening
Drinks were $2 off the regular price and were delicious. My group ordered the appetizer sampler and EVERYTHING on it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I loved the atmosphere and would've loved to had time tho enjoy the rooftop entertainment
There was a free buffet during happy hour but you could only partake if you sat (or stood) at the bar. There were not enough seats for all of us and everyone in our group could not stand for long so we got a table and was given a time limit on how long we could have the table. However, it took long for drinks and food to arrive and especially long for the server to return with my friend's credit card and the bill.
Awesome atmosphere, professional service (a little slowish) but very tasty menu. Sides are a bit small for the price but I also had the Neptune salad which was very good, fresh ingredients and perfect blend with the dressing nicely filling. Comparing making a combo of appetizers with sides might be better to get entrée. They have outside and a roof top sethings. Great meal and a movie with the theater right across the breeze way. Will definitely come back often...date night...or group event. Kudos.
We came to your establishment to celebrate my sister's 78 birthday. We had a great time. The variety of buffet food we great , the service was outstanding and the band was phenomenal. Thanks!!
I took my husband out for his birthday. The entertainment was good. We like jazz music. The food was Delicious. My shrimp, grits and beans were good. Hubblish had the Southern fried chicken. It could have used a little more seasoning, but it was satisfying. Service was slow but our waitress Shannon was very gracious. WarmDaddys should hire more staff. Will i go again probably yes.
Food was good. The aptospher was just great. The only thing is that the Band was late. Oh yeah and our server was a Real professional. I'd gave the place five stars if the band had showed up on time.
Attended the Paint Out Loud Event. My friend and I request a server several times to place an order but no one came over for an hour. It seemed like the servers were focused on the opposite side of the room. After an hour, someone that looked like the mgr. came over to take our order but had the nerve to came back with a bill. He also tried to charge us full price for appetizers that were half price before 8 pm. My friend explained that we arrived 1/2 prior and waiting an hour for service. She kindly adjusted our bill. I felt that whole should of been on them since it took an hour to serve us. Can't give a review on the food because it was too late order by the time they served us. Warmdaddy's really need to do better.
The place is small. We had to flag someone down several times before we finally got waited on. When we finally got our food we were happy. Mac and cheese with shrimp was awesome and the cornbread was delicious.
Food was good but service was decent. Waitress could have been more attentive. Please be aware that there is a $15 cover charge on nights when there is live music. Imo $15 is excessive for an entertainment fee. Like I mentioned above the food was good, it's worth checking out. I ordered the firecracker shrimp and mashed potatoes with gravy.
I ordered the sampler. It was delicious. We had a large group and our waitress was on her last night of training. She did Awesome. A great place will go again and will tell everyone I know. The live music was great. Had a great experience all around. A must experience.
Absolutely love this place. I live in N.Y., and have taken the drive to Phili just to go eat here. I love the grown and sexy vibe. Its very warm and cozy there. The live music just takes it to another level. The food is amazing. I highly recommend this spot. Classy!
The new locale is better, more open while still maintaining a sense of intimacy. Food was excellent, buffet line well-maintained and a talented omelet chef/cook on duty. Another great Philly Sunday Brunch venue you're sure to enjoy.
Came for Sunday brunch with a couple of friends. Enjoyed the live band and singer on stage. The buffet brunch gave a large selection of food to choose from to eat. There was also an omelet station. The cocktails were strong. I had a great time will be back!
This place is a must-go if anywhere NEAR Philadelphia. The food is amazing. The jarred goods are amazing. The people are Southern-hospitality-like friendly; something foreign to California natives working in the service industry. You can't go wrong with any dish in this place! Great vibes all around!
This is really a "hit or miss" kind of restaurant. Warm Daddy's biggest issue is service. They have plenty of staff on hand to provide quality service, but this staff lacks in initiative. My party waited a full hour to be seated by the host who was more concerned with seating reserved parties that were arriving late. We opted to sit at an open table in the back of the restaurant. That was was a mistake! We now had to be waited on the bartenders, but what other option did we have. Leaving would only worsen the experience, so we chose to stay the course.
Let me paint a picture: 4 bartenders, moderately busy bar and still no service. Our server was visibly busy, but there were 3 other servers who saw us and refused to come attend to us. I had to call one over to take our order. He wasn't pleased but neither were we. Thankfully the food and live music made up for the crappy service we received.
The lawyer in my party said he would never come back or recommend this restaurant to his colleagues who travel to Philadelphia.
The marketing executive said that she would only return if a reservation is made in advance.
I'm in a different position because it is my job to survey different restaurants and nightlife venues for my clients. It is my hope that management improves Warm Daddy's service staff; if not, I too will have to discourage my clients from going to this establishment.
Took my husband for his birthday for Sunday Brunch.
The food was fantastic. Omelettes, mac & cheese, fried chicken, salad... just delish. Music was just great... wonderful singer.
And finally I have to brag about our waitress TOSH. She was just so sweet and attentive. Made sure to bring my husband his birthday desert with candle. Tosh was really a delight. When we come back again I will be sure to ask for her specifically.
This place was the total package of great food, good music, pleasant atmosphere and amazing service.
The food wasn't all fabulous but there were a few menu items that were superb. The mac and cheese, chicken & waffles and cornbread are absolutely delicious. The collard greens had the bitterness to them that indicated they were undercooked. The yams were only sweetened with white sugar so it gave them a jaw-clenching sweetness to them that wasn't enjoyable. Other than that, the ambiance was great. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning!!!
Took my husband here to celebrate his birthday it was our first time here. Really really busy but the food was amazing. But the service sucked I had to walk up to the bar to have someone else check me out we were there for an extra hour waiting to leave. But the food and the music were awesome.
The place is packed to capacity. The food is consistent. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is very classy. This is a good spot to get to know someone. I like the music as well the ambience. I'm looking forward to a summer evening on the roof. I highly recommend!
Great place to eat and relax. They have happy hour specials, live jazz bands, comfortable atmosphere and good food. If you want soul food, check it out. Good place to go before or after a movie at Riverfront Theater. Large parking area behind.
The atmosphere was great, live band is awesome, drinks were good, however the fried shrimp platter I ordered was cold upon arrival. If they could maintain a proper food temperature this establishment will go far. Overall it was nice
Sunday Brunch was Awesome! Amazing live band, good soulfood/comfort food and the atmosphere was cozy. Waitress was attentive. I will definitely return and recommend to friends!
Warmdaddys has a nice ambience and it was nice to have entertainment and not pay a cover to get in. It was a Tuesday night. Reservations made seating instant, the server went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Parking is free and plentiful. Note: The gratuity of 18% is included in the bill. They have something on the table that lets you know ahead of time. The cornbread was fantastic, but the fried chicken could have used more seasoning. I'm not used to adding salt to my food. Prices are good. $16.99 for my dinner and $5 for the Angry Orchard beer.
I Went For A visit Saturday Nite With my Wife. After See a Show at The Lincoln Financial Center Arena. Seating was Limited Due too. Reservations only and Also a cover Band was playing. We were charge $15 @ Door. So we decided to pay & Give the place a Try! The Waiter was very polite, Friendly Upon greeting us at our Table. We place our drinks&App,Main Entree orders. I order the Catfish w/Candied yams,Mash Potatoes. My Wife Had the Southern Fried Chicken w/Candied Yams and Potato salad.. Let's Just Say Wrong. "Since When Potato Salad has Vinegar in it" My Wife & I was totally Disappointed about the taste of It. That Salad Needs Some Attention Badly. On The positive Side of Things,Great Ambience.Slow Food Preparation..Live Music Was on Point.. The Cornbread was to Die For. Thanks For A Great Dinner Experience.
This place serves soul food in addition to music for the soul. There is parking on the premises in addition to free parking around the corner from the restaurant. There is live music During certain times of the week. We went tonight which, is it Sunday night there was a band there that was great. They played a lot of the oldies but goodies. As previously stated the food is excellent you will never leave their hungry. And if you can't finish your meal the staff is more than happy to either pack it up for you or allow you to pack it up. I can't say enough good things about this place good except come eat drink and be merry.
Love the atmosphere! Waitstaff very attentive! The live music band was great! The interaction with the audience, awesome! The food portions were small for the price. Seating is tight but...I'd still go back again.
Good place to go for a night out. Nice chill place where you can drink listen to music possibly a live group or performer and grab some food. The staff is good food came out in a reasonable time but wasnt that great. Nothing I tasted was eye popping or even memorable enough to garner a return. I've experienced Warmdaddys and now I can move on.
This restaurant is a great place for good vibes, and food.. Dedicated for people of a sophisticated kind of crowd.. It's a southern kind of atmosphere inside, with relaxing jazz playing through the restaurant.. During my visit friends, and family were able to really unwind, and enjoy life.. Staff are extremely friendly, and the food menu has a great selection.. Dress type should be casual, or sexy as you complaint the beautiful ambiance during your visit..
The crab legs are the best. You just wouldn't want to stop eating. It is that yummy! The lady waiting staff are very very nice and attentive. You'd get what you want before you've even asked for it. The price is moderate, but it's really worth it.
Last night my friends and I sat down to eat around 5:30pm to eat it was 4 of us we were sitting at a table that sat 6 we were waiting for two more people. The manager
Mike came over to us at 6:30pm and said if the rest of your party is not here by 7:00pm you are going to have to be moved to the bar, followed that statement with this the company policy. This was the worse customer service I've ever experienced, we just kindly told him we all have to leave by 7:00pm to catch our movie. In other words please let us eat in peace. I did voice my opinion to him. He stated I was not rude to you, I spoke to you in a nice manner. So there you have it, he has no clue what customer service is. It's not how you said it, it's what you said. Reverse the phrase buddy.
Food was delicious. Place is a really tight fit, they should really remove a few tables, I had to really squeeze out from the wall booth, to the point it made me not want to get up at all. Uncomfortable for me and my neighboring table. Staff is okay, host had an attitude because I asked to be moved. My particular server was slow, was there for about 1.5hrs only got 2 drinks the entire time. Seemed short staffed. Jazz act was entertaining. All in all, the great food made up for the negatives.
I've been here quite a few times, the food is amazing. I put aside that we wait because they are very busy, we usually get some looks for being the only white people but there's no racism is this blood!! The waitresses are super friendly!! Just be patient, it's worth it!! I recommend the Mac and cheese with crab!! And oh my goodness the corn bread
I don’t even know where to begin... I’ve never been so excited to eat food in my life. The food was far from greasy, it was seasoned just right, portions were more than what I expected for the prices. Service was impeccable, our waitress was even new but you would have never known it. We didn’t have to wait to be seated even without reservations. The live music and entertainment was on point. 👍🏽 We’ve enjoyed ourselves so much to where we’ve been here 3x in just 1 week.
I simply love this place! I have been to Warmdaddy's 3 times while visiting Philly from Tallahassee Florida. I am impressed each time I visit. The atmosphere is cozy, romantic and friendly. The live entertainment is awesome and you will always get a good show. The food is the best I've ever tasted in a soul food Jazz supper club. The staff are awesome from the hostess, wait staff, bartenders, and management, they are very friendly and make you feel very welcomed. I would recommend Warmdaddy's to anyone who visits Philly.
This place is amazing! Very affordable prices and they give you great portions. I got catfish and it came with a Cajun sauce that complimented it very well. We also got Mac and cheese as an appetizer and it was some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The drinks we ordered we're also very smooth and very tasty. And atmosphere here is very great and the live jazz band was very skilled and played great covers and even a song of their own. I didn't visit the bar upstairs but everyone up there seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. I will definitely be returning here.
Great food. Good music. I went for all you can eat crab on Tuesdays a few times. I got served cold crab a few times but other than that I really like this place. The hostesses are always so sweet and hospitable. I will be back.
The food was wonderful with plenty of options. Staff was attentive. The atmosphere was amazing. Great music along with great food. Drink are fine and usual for a Philly venue. $27 for buffet style soul food brunch is on point.
I had such a pleasant experience here. The staff were so friendly the atmosphere is very soul. They play good music and seem to always have some sort of entertainment like comedy night. The food was okay, I wasn't a fan of what I ordered but I will be back to try other things just because they were so nice.
Ugh so damn good. The corn bread and chicken and gumbo....delicious!! Mac and cheese is perfect. Yams need some more love.
I went here for my mom's because she wanted to come here. Everyone enjoyed their food and our server was excellent. But if you are a vegan like me, this is not the place for you. Your only option is the house salad, which is a nice size but I would not suggest to come here for a salad. Most of the veggies are cooked in meat and the french fries are cooked in the same gease was the chicken.
This place does have live jazz and a jazz brunch on Sunday. You may want to go for the entertainment. The also have a full bar. Vegan just eat before you go😉
My partner and I were taking a trip to Philadelphia for the Thanksgiving weekend and decided to hit up this restaurant after being told of their amazing brunch. The food was delicious and the performance was amazing. It was a little hard to hear the backup singers, I think they're nice might have not been on, but there are no complaints that I have for this restaurant. I would definitely recommend bringing your family or large groups here for their brunches. Make sure you get there early so that you can stack up on all the food you want and can sit and calmly enjoy the show.
Went for Sunday brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. Had not been to Warm Daddy's in years. Food was excellent and Terry was an outstanding waitress. Music was top notch too... Full package. I'll definitely be back soon.
This was my first time here in eight years, the food was not that good as I experienced in my past visits. My salmon was extremely overcooked and had to be sent back. The cornbread tasted good, a little on the sweet side. I tried the shrimp and grits and was not too impressed. The grits were just okay. Service and atmosphere was good. The band playing that night was just as bad as the salmon.
Waited for 45 minutes for our order. Requested assistance several times. Was told order was delivered. So hungry maybe we ate the plates. 18% gratuity added to bill. Not a good experience. Food was good.
I was a little indecisive about the rating for this review. We went to punchline comedy club one night and ended up purchasing a T-shirt from To Rue...read this and 357 more
