How would you rate The Beehive?
Their items are cute, but whew! The lady behind the register with the afro is awful! I don't recall her name. She may have been having a bad day or something... but she was a total GRINCH!!!! (I'm being nice by using the word grinch instead of another word.) She had an ugly personality and ruined my day. I will never go there again. Horrible service!! Do not go there.
Cute little boutique that sells local handmade items from various sellers. Make sure you have a lot of time because you will be in there awhile.
Great handmade items from local artisans! I always find great gifts and one of a kind items!
The beehive is a great boutique with beautiful, quality products from local artisans. They also have amazing classes! In only 2 sewing classes I went from living in total fear of a sewing machine to making a dress from a pattern! Brooke is such a great teacher - really patient, accessible, flexible and fun - what a great time!
The Beehive is one of the reasons I enjoy this city. A collection of wonderfully talented small businesses under one roof selling unique items year-round. Everything from jewelry to prints to jams to dog biscuits. If you are looking for a gift, check it out.
In fact, this is where I went when I was trying to put together a goodie bag of items that represented Atlanta when visiting friends in Amsterdam. I walked away with a box full of handmade/crafted items ranging from soap to jam and it was nice to say it was all made locally.
Their bi-annual Warehouse Sale is my favorite time to visit. Most of the items are on sale and you can peruse for hours looking at all the great finds.
They also hold crafting classes (jewelry, knitting/crocheting, body stuff, etc).
The place is usually estrogen central but you may see a guy every now and then. He's usually been brought there. There are a handful of crafted items for men. What I saw last time - bear/mustache grooming items, t-shirts and a company that made specialty cufflinks.
The only thing that sucks about going to The Beehive, to no fault of their own, is the horribly designed clusterf*ck that is the Edgewood Shopping District. Real life mouse trap.
I took a beginning sewing class yesterday with Brooke. It was informative, the teacher inspiring, and a whole lot of fun. We went from a basic overview of our machines (we were encouraged to bring our own) and went from winding a bobbin to making a pincushion pillow all in two hours. If you're wanting to learn how to sew or improve your existing skills, the classes at The Beehive will be very helpful and worth your while.
This is a super cool local store. They have some really interesting art, soaps, lotions and other crafty things mostly from local vendors. Defiantly check this place out!
The Beehive Atlanta is the FIRST PLACE I go to when purchasing presents and souvenirs for my clients. Because they carry such unique and creative items (which are produced by local artists) it's a store which I can support and recommend with great confidence!
I have never made a bad purchase here and I love the shopping experience.
I believe the owner and store manager have a keen eye and I will continue to shop here both for my personal and business-needs.
The Beehive is like a store version of Pinterest. So many cute things!
It's a great spot for finding little local gifts to send to out-of-towners. Georgia barbeque sauce, postcards of each Atlanta neighborhood, coasters, bags, etc. All locally made.
I don't frequent the Beehive, but I've gone to their semi-annual sale a few times. One word for the sale: CRAY. Crowds of DIY/home decor/local arts-loving people (mostly women) squeezing through the store's tiny aisles. My advice is to go later in the day. Some things will be already sold, but you won't have to deal with the headache of crowds of people.
Best place in ATL to buy gifts AND support local artists. The staff is always friendly and fun. We love the jewelry, cards, magnets and seasonings - all locally made. There's no reason to shop anywhere else for hostess gifts, baby gifts or a little something special for yourself on a bad (or good) day. Nice work, BEEHIVE.
Fun shop full of handmade and mostly local goods. Like Etsy, but a store.
Love the Beehive! Great variety of locally made gifts, housewares, accessories, and clothing. They also have crafty classes!
One of the best places to buy unique and local presents in Atlanta! They also offer craft workshops.
Great sales. Interesting finds.
Classes are fun. Getting to support local artists anytime of year is awesome. I have shopped here more than 3 dozen times, taken more than four classes. I've bought large canvas art from Tim Boyd to earrings from June Shin. I have a purse and wallet from one artist. You have to go to Beehive.
Think: Atlanta's local Etsy shop. This is the BEST place to get gifts and unique items for your home and your loved ones in all of the city. It's also affordable (compared to the Merchant or Westside Provisions) AND your money will go directly back into the local community! It is a one-stop shop around the holidays!.
My favorite place to pick up a gift because their store is comprised of local goods. Their artists and suppliers even work in the shop. My daughter got to meet the man who designed and made the purse she picked out. Always a new treasure to find here.
Love the local artist jewelery selection. Very knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic local co-op boutique!
Wonderful little store with a lot of hand-made, high quality stuff.
This is an adorable shop. Love it.

Quality, local products at reasonable prices with a friendly staff. Great place to shop for unique gifts, plus they do free gift wrapping!
Awesome place for unique things and great staff!
Classy and friendly staff! Quality items at decent prices! I enjoyed my visit! Will recommend and will keep in mind for future shopping! Muuuah
Amazing selection of local crafts and artisan items for sale. For those looking for locally curated items, this is a great place to start.
Great! I love it they are friendly and very unique!
The cutest baby items, prettiest dresses, best local selection and dare I say home of my fourth favorite pie. The owner is super helpful and friendly. I like that you can easily run into the person who made your favorite soap or pair of earrings...or pie. During my next trip to Florida, I plan to take some things down for my boyfriend's little cousins. They need some shero apparel in their lives.
Looking for a unique housewarming; baby shower; wedding or birthday gift? The Beehive has your instagram worth gift available.

Feeling crafty, want to learn something new? They have you covered with fun craft classes.
I love finding new things that you won't see anywhere else.
Stop in a browse, you'll be glad you did.
Paid for a candlemaking class for Saturday the 16th from 10am-12pm. Made it there 5 minutes before. Ten o clock rolls around and no one is there. Another 19 minutes rolls by and still no one came. So I'm waiting til 11am which is what time it says the store opens. Finally 11am store opens and I'm asking the young lady about the class that I paid to take and she didn't know. She called the manager and the manager said she emailed everyone. Well obviously I didn't receive an email otherwise I would have been home instead of outside in the hot sun waiting to take a class that had been rescheduled. No apologies. The young lady took my email and I was told I would receive an email about the class change but I never received an email. I had to call back on Monday and she was very nonchalant, still no apologies so I just asked for a refund from her class.
Received a very nice email from the owner apologizing/explaining. I also found out that the email regarding schedule change went to my spam folder. So I am updating the rating based on my interaction with her. Also I will try again to take the workshops.
I did a metal stamping class here and it was amazing! It was just what I needed. The teacher was very friendly and answered every question I had. Nice pace and I even walked out with a couple of finishing pieces that I wore. This is the first of many classes I hope to do here @ the beehive. I HIGHLY recommend!
Pricey but exquisite selection of custom-crafted find products by individual artisans
Great selection of unique handmade items. The classes are great also.
Lots of cool, locally made items. Bought some gifts that everyone liked and got some local honey for myself. Maybe should add an additional register or something though cuz it took about 30 minutes waiting to check out...
My preferred place to buy gifts for my family...
Really cool boutique with an awesome aroma when you walk in. They have anything from clothes, to jewelry, to baby stuff, and gifts galore. I left with...read this and 74 more
