How would you rate The Beehive?
Their items are cute, but whew! The lady behind the register with the afro is awful! I don't recall her name. She may have been having a bad day or something... but she was a total GRINCH!!!! (I'm being nice by using the word grinch instead of another word.) She had an ugly personality and ruined my day. I will never go there again. Horrible service!! Do not go there.
Cute little boutique that sells local handmade items from various sellers. Make sure you have a lot of time because you will be in there awhile.
Great handmade items from local artisans! I always find great gifts and one of a kind items!
The beehive is a great boutique with beautiful, quality products from local artisans. They also have amazing classes! In only 2 sewing classes I went from living in total fear of a sewing machine to making a dress from a pattern! Brooke is such a great teacher - really patient, accessible, flexible and fun - what a great time!
The Beehive is one of the reasons I enjoy this city. A collection of wonderfully talented small businesses under one roof selling unique items year-round. Everything from jewelry to prints to jams to dog biscuits. If you are looking for a gift, check it out.
In fact, this is where I went when I was trying to put together a goodie bag of items that represented Atlanta when visiting friends in Amsterdam. I walked away with a box full of handmade/crafted items ranging from soap to jam and it was nice to say it was all made locally.
Their bi-annual Warehouse Sale is my favorite time to visit. Most of the items are on sale and you can peruse for hours looking at all the great finds.
They also hold crafting classes (jewelry, knitting/crocheting, body stuff, etc).
The place is usually estrogen central but you may see a guy every now and then. He's usually been brought there. There are a handful of crafted items for men. What I saw last time - bear/mustache grooming items, t-shirts and a company that made specialty cufflinks.
The only thing that sucks about going to The Beehive, to no fault of their own, is the horribly designed clusterf*ck that is the Edgewood Shopping District. Real life mouse trap.
I took a beginning sewing class yesterday with Brooke. It was informative, the teacher inspiring, and a whole lot of fun. We went from a basic overview of our machines (we were encouraged to bring our own) and went from winding a bobbin to making a pincushion pillow all in two hours. If you're wanting to learn how to sew or improve your existing skills, the classes at The Beehive will be very helpful and worth your while.
This is a super cool local store. They have some really interesting art, soaps, lotions and other crafty things mostly from local vendors. Defiantly check this place out!
The Beehive Atlanta is the FIRST PLACE I go to when purchasing presents and souvenirs for my clients. Because they carry such unique and creative items (which are produced by local artists) it's a store which I can support and recommend with great confidence!
I have never made a bad purchase here and I love the shopping experience.
I believe the owner and store manager have a keen eye and I will continue to shop here both for my personal and business-needs.
The Beehive is like a store version of Pinterest. So many cute things!
It's a great spot for finding little local gifts to send to out-of-towners. Georgia barbeque sauce, postcards of each Atlanta neighborhood, coasters, bags, etc. All locally made.
I don't frequent the Beehive, but I've gone to their semi-annual sale a few times. One word for the sale: CRAY. Crowds of DIY/home decor/local arts-loving people (mostly women) squeezing through the store's tiny aisles. My advice is to go later in the day. Some things will be already sold, but you won't have to deal with the headache of crowds of people.
Best place in ATL to buy gifts AND support local artists. The staff is always friendly and fun. We love the jewelry, cards, magnets and seasonings - all locally made. There's no reason to shop anywhere else for hostess gifts, baby gifts or a little something special for yourself on a bad (or good) day. Nice work, BEEHIVE.
Fun shop full of handmade and mostly local goods. Like Etsy, but a store.
Love the Beehive! Great variety of locally made gifts, housewares, accessories, and clothing. They also have crafty classes!
One of the best places to buy unique and local presents in Atlanta! They also offer craft workshops.
Great sales. Interesting finds.
Classes are fun. Getting to support local artists anytime of year is awesome. I have shopped here more than 3 dozen times, taken more than four classes. I've bought large canvas art from Tim Boyd to earrings from June Shin. I have a purse and wallet from one artist. You have to go to Beehive.
Think: Atlanta's local Etsy shop. This is the BEST place to get gifts and unique items for your home and your loved ones in all of the city. It's also affordable (compared to the Merchant or Westside Provisions) AND your money will go directly back into the local community! It is a one-stop shop around the holidays!.
My favorite place to pick up a gift because their store is comprised of local goods. Their artists and suppliers even work in the shop. My daughter got to meet the man who designed and made the purse she picked out. Always a new treasure to find here.
Love the local artist jewelery selection. Very knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic local co-op boutique!
Wonderful little store with a lot of hand-made, high quality stuff.
This is an adorable shop. Love it.
They have cool stuff ther. Nice camps to
Quality, local products at reasonable prices with a friendly staff. Great place to shop for unique gifts, plus they do free gift wrapping!
Awesome place for unique things and great staff!
Classy and friendly staff! Quality items at decent prices! I enjoyed my visit! Will recommend and will keep in mind for future shopping! Muuuah
Amazing selection of local crafts and artisan items for sale. For those looking for locally curated items, this is a great place to start.
Great! I love it they are friendly and very unique!
The cutest baby items, prettiest dresses, best local selection and dare I say home of my fourth favorite pie. The owner is super helpful and friendly. I like that you can easily run into the person who made your favorite soap or pair of earrings...or pie. During my next trip to Florida, I plan to take some things down for my boyfriend's little cousins. They need some shero apparel in their lives.
Looking for a unique housewarming; baby shower; wedding or birthday gift? The Beehive has your instagram worth gift available.
This shop is all about local Georgia artists and creators from cards, housewares, clothing to jewelery,
Feeling crafty, want to learn something new? They have you covered with fun craft classes.
I love finding new things that you won't see anywhere else.
Stop in a browse, you'll be glad you did.
Paid for a candlemaking class for Saturday the 16th from 10am-12pm. Made it there 5 minutes before. Ten o clock rolls around and no one is there. Another 19 minutes rolls by and still no one came. So I'm waiting til 11am which is what time it says the store opens. Finally 11am store opens and I'm asking the young lady about the class that I paid to take and she didn't know. She called the manager and the manager said she emailed everyone. Well obviously I didn't receive an email otherwise I would have been home instead of outside in the hot sun waiting to take a class that had been rescheduled. No apologies. The young lady took my email and I was told I would receive an email about the class change but I never received an email. I had to call back on Monday and she was very nonchalant, still no apologies so I just asked for a refund from her class.
Received a very nice email from the owner apologizing/explaining. I also found out that the email regarding schedule change went to my spam folder. So I am updating the rating based on my interaction with her. Also I will try again to take the workshops.
I did a metal stamping class here and it was amazing! It was just what I needed. The teacher was very friendly and answered every question I had. Nice pace and I even walked out with a couple of finishing pieces that I wore. This is the first of many classes I hope to do here @ the beehive. I HIGHLY recommend!
High quality Artisan crafts. Worth a visit.
Great selection of unique handmade items. The classes are great also.
Lots of cool, locally made items. Bought some gifts that everyone liked and got some local honey for myself. Maybe should add an additional register or something though cuz it took about 30 minutes waiting to check out...
My preferred place to buy gifts for my family...
Unique place with many creative designers. The manager has a wonderful personality, the owner is super sweet and then finding out the designers also work in the store shows they truly invest in themselves. It is clean and the music playing is always dope. I adore this place......just take my whole wallet, happily
The best place to get gifts or for jewelry for yourself. The prices are for the most part very reasonable and everything is high quality and handmade from local artisans, many of which work in the store which is really great. Highly recommend them!
Fantastic place, supports over 100 local artists. Definitely recommend
Totally addicted to this place. They ALWAYS have great jewelry.
All sorts of artisan gifts, all hand made, almost exclusively Atlanta/Georgia artists
This is one of my favorite stores. All of the items sold are made by artists (many of them local) and you have the chance of meeting an artist on any given day because they are the employees as well. Such a great atmosphere and a great place to get a gift for someone or to spoil yourself with something.
This is one of the cutest boutiques in Atlanta! It has a great variety of gift items from home decor, to jewelry, and much more. All products are handcrafted by local artists. Great prices and a great way to support the community by shopping local!
This place is a GEM! Some items are a little pricey but the stuff in here is NICE (and I have caught sales a few times). We need more of these stores in Atlanta! Love this place
I do like this place a lot, but when no one is here to open the store at 11, it’s frustrating. I need businesses to open when they say they’re going to.
Let me be *very* clear. I've been here once, and it's my new favorite place in the world. I went in for a Clue Town book that I had called in for earlier in the day. Mari said she'd hold me a copy, just in case, and took my name down. When I went to pick it up, she was super awesome kind as I browsed around. The culmination of artists and vendors in this one space is amazing. There is literally something for EVERYONE. I found a gift for a friend who is moving that I had struggled to find something for. Mari had the copy of the book held for me THEN we ended up talking for 15 minutes, but felt like an hour, and she, and this store, are my new favorite things in Atlanta. Definitely go for you holiday shopping needs or literally anything. Apparently they do workshops too, so count me in. This space is so cool and I'm so grateful that my random errand led me here! Can't wait to do my Small Business Saturday Shopping there!! (also she gift wrapped my present and let me pick my ribbon and it's just so thoughtful!)
I love this store! This is my go to for gifts. Everything is local and handmade so there's always something new. I especially love the jewelery selection and can't help buying something for myself almost every time I'm there...
A great selection of gifts! The staff was more than helpful to find me the right gift and they were also friendly in the process. Thank you!
I love love love the Beehive. Great place for unique gifts with the benefit of supporting local artists. And the Beehive also gives back to the community. I recently rescued a dumped puppy with Parvo. The vet bills were huge. We received a very sizable donation from the Beehive. I’ve always shopped there but the Beehive now has a customer for life!
I love this place! There are so many cute, handmade items to choose from. I love to buy gifts here and usually “gift” myself as well.
This is the first spot I found in Atlanta to get local gifts or items for around the house. They have a nice selection of products that changes from time to time so always worth a stop when you're in the area.
I love this little shop!! There is always something good here for gifts (either a treat for yourself or a friend)!
Really cool boutique with an awesome aroma when you walk in. They have anything from clothes, to jewelry, to baby stuff, and gifts galore. I left with...read this and 74 more
