How would you rate Petsi Pies?
This place is dangerously close to my house. I've yet to try any of their savory pies, but I've had both the salted caramel apple pie and the brown butter pecan pie. They were both amazing. The crust on the apple pie was possibly the best I've ever had (salted caramel...*drool*), but the brown butter pecan pie is overall my favorite. I just can't resist it. I try really hard to choose something else when I go, so I can try one of the other amazing-looking pies, but the pecan pie always ends up winning. They also have a tres leches cupcake that I've had my eye on for a while...it might be time to try something new.
Petsi is one of the few places that I can count on to get a reliably delicious quiche. Quiches are baked fresh daily, and if you're there early enough will come out of the oven piping hot. My personal favorites are roasted vegetable and goat cheese and bacon, leek, and gruyere. You can buy quiches in their entirety, or by the slice. Unfortunately, they no longer sell mini quiches.
I love their savory quiches. At $20 they're not inexpensive but the spinach and ricotta with pine nuts is hearty and your guests will love it. Delicious scones too. Happy to see them on Beacon Street.
Petsi pie is a great spot for a cup of tea and a sweet afternoon treat. Their scones are tasty as well. If you like butter, ask for it with your scone!
Best Thanksgiving decision ever. $24 pies. worth it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE all their pies. My only reason for four stars instead of five, is price. They are worth every penny, but dang you could go broke there VERY easy. Dang do they have a loyalty program? Shoot, I should get SOMETHING for free as much as I spend there.-lol
The best pies I know. It's true that this place is kind of expensive, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion. The staff here is also friendly and honestly just makes this place near perfect.
My co-workers and I love their Mocha Cafe, its the only place we ever buy it from. Also their Almond Brioche that I'm devouring right now is to die for. I haven't had a single pastry there that I didn't enjoy. Two thumbs up for sure.
Amazing delicious warm and wonderful!
I regret not taking advantage of this place more often. They have great pastries, especially the scones. I also bought a King's cake around Mardi Gras time, super awesome they made it, and it was great!
The cake was a bit price tho, and the coffee there isn't so great. Still, it's worth it for the pastries
Delicious pies with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Short flavorful crust didn't go soggy. Try the butter pecan and wild berry. Can't decide? They will split whole pies half and half. Very friendly staff.
Good selections. Friendly service. Banana Chocolate chip Muffin was awesome!
The coffee and sweets are always good at Petsi Pies but the Beacon St location doesn't have much in the way of atmosphere. This is there main baking facility so it's not surprising that it isn't as nice here as their other locations. A great place to buy pie, go somewhere else if you just want to read your book
Amazing pies and scones. Creative seasonal flavors. Perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas parties. Need to order ahead for the holidays.
Their pies and pastries are amazing. People are friendly. They have come creative options as well as the old standards.
Awesome pies freshed baked daily. You can get small pies, large pies or single serve slices. I recommend the fruit or pumpkin pies!
The most delicious and consistent pie shop I have ever eaten at. On top that, the staff are absolutely delightful. This is one of my go to places.
I just had one slice of chocolate pie and it was delicious. The other pastries looked good too. Not much room for sitting down but they have a few small tables. I would go back to try more pies. Only bad thing is that they are pretty pricey
The best place to go for scrumptious pies, both sweet and savory. Their decadent pecan pies and variety of fruit pies are always a hit at parties and receptions - my personal favorite is the bourbon chocolate pecan pie. Their hours are also great, open on weekends and pretty late - I've even dropped by during heavy snow when the rest of the city seems to have shut down!
I ordered two cupcakes 2 cookies and a scone. The scone was okay the cookies were terrible and one of the cupcakes was great. One of the cupcakes was terrible
Great pastries. Good coffee. Nice people.
Best iced coffee in the greater Boston area, oh, and the pastries, pies, and quiches are good too!
Best scones I've ever had. Go for the lemon. Savory biscuits are great, too.
They're so good that they are providing the cupcakes and pies for my wedding. All of their delicious sugary offerings are truly delectable.
I loved this place! Quiet affordable too. A slice of blueberry and an apple crumble pie with small black coffee for 12.31$. Delicious yet super sweet for me.
The only thing is the bakery didn't have an AC. Perhaps it was broken or they actually DON'T have one, I don't know. The sit-in dining area has 3 tables and each of 2 chairs. The staff was SUPER SWEET!
Coconut cupcake was devine! So much more to eat later! Ladies in the shop were fun and helpful. We will be back!
I went here once a week for a year. Their scones and pie are spectacular. Also, they have some of the sweetest staff.
Delicious pies. Ordered a brown Butter Pecan and it was sweet and delicious
Get the iced chai latte; you won't regret it.
I saw this place featured on Phantom Gourmet I don’t take much stock in their reviews of restaurants because restaurants pay to be featured on the show but I was interested in trying the pies because they make my favorite sweet potato pie. I drove the hour away from where I live to check it out and I was very disappointed. I ordered a sweet potato pie as well as an apple pie which they said was their sought out item on their menu. First off the pies were very pricey for the two I paid $44. Second there were disgusting they lacked flavor and were very bland and it’s sad to admit that you could get a better tasting pie at your local stop and shop bakery. Needless to say that was the first and the last time going to that place.
Expensive pies for the size, but they are good and their staff is friendly. The brown butter pecan pie is amazing and I'm not even crazy about pecan pie. I'm required to bring at least one of them for every major holiday.
I have driven over 2 hours to come get a peanut butter cookie from petsi pies on more than one occasion. Grab a slice of savory pie and a something for dessert and you're going to have a good day.
Fantastic pies and cupcakes. I got a bunch for my son's birthday and everyone was asking me where I got them. I especially loved the chocolate cream pie and the tres leches cupcakes.
Great pies. Wish they sold pumpkin pie all year. Terrible terrible coffee!!!
Delicious apple walnut cake & a slightly overdone apricot chocolate chip cookie. Should have gotten a pie but was in transit & didn't want it to break! Looks like they have quite a production going there with pies.
Always friendly, and everything is good. Especially the pie, but the cupcakes are also so much better than any of those snooty cupcake shops we used to have so many of.
Nice selection of pies and baked goods. Reasonably priced and fresh.
I love this shop. Every time I testing their pies, I am happy.
Pies are so good! I really like the sour cherry pie and the savoury pies are great too. Their apple walnut cake is also delicious.
Really enjoyed the pecan pie and banana bread. Prices were good.
This place has great pies and breakfast pastries!
LOVED the pies we ordered for our wedding!! Thank you for the great communication and the seamless process for ordering these delicious pies- would not have wanted anything else for dessert. Petsi is my first choice for getting a pie for any occasion.
Nice little place. Awesome bakes and good coffee
One of the best pies that I ever had was the Apple. Definitely worth the trip to pick up any one of their pies. I Give It 2 Thumbs Up
1) You're local, not corporate.
2) You wear gloves (thats HUGE)
3) You scooped apples like a mad woman (I'll take it, dont wrap it!)
I'm salivating. Must... have...pie.
Side note; Redheads are hot!
I love this place. Delicious pastries and pies. Usually go in for breakfast once a week
Luxury item, expensive but worth it every time. I can live off these pies for days they weigh twice as much as a normal pie. When you are in a rush driving to go to grandmas and need to pick up a pie make sure you told the GPS the right store, for some reason there are two in the same area.
Nice mix of sweet and savory offerings. I came at a non-rush time and there were plenty of choices. The roasted veggie and goat cheese was tasty and served room temp, the coffee with a shot of espresso is just what I needed
Well, I will say that the one time I had the apple pie, it was outstanding. However..I have gone there 4 other times...at different times of day(7:45am, 9am, 10:30am and 2pm) and every single time, the traditional apple pie, I was told, was " sold out". If they are so popular that they sell out so early...make more! I see plenty of apple crisp pies on the shelf. Make less of those and more of the traditional. Very disappointing.
The best pies I've ever had. The peach pie is out of this world.
Love this place. Every single pie is simply delicious. I love the ruibard one specially.
Not so crazy about the pastry here yet. The texture for certain things felt weird. I am still coming back for more though!!
Edit: I tried a few more things, and my view has changed! Everything tasted delicious. A little on the sweet side which is the way I like it! There are so many verities available, I’m yet to try everything.
Ermagerd.... Lured in by the smell of delicious pastries cooking we stopped by. Had the lemon bar, almond raspberry shortcake, and coffee cake we had were amazing... Here for the next few days and we'll be trying more of their pastries and coffee.
The mixed berry and the tart cherry pies remain my favorite baked goods anywhere in the country. Whenever I'm in the area, I try to make a point to buy at least one whole pie to take back with me to PA.
Really good pies. Well worth a visit.
Such great pies and genuinely nice people!! The challenge at Petsi is choosing which pie: what flavor, what kind of crust? I prefer to buy a 5" pie when available so I can to avoid excess temptation. But alas, today's selections were limited to full-size (10") pies. Now I'm faced with the happy reality of a whole Michigan tart cherry pie. First-world problems!!
Great bakery and breakfast spot. You can feel and taste the family owned business in both their scones and pies (try them both!!)
Not a good value for the price. Some of the pies are hit or miss. The key lime pie especially was disappointing. Ordering fresh pies is gonna be better than getting what they have on the rack though so keep that in mind.
The reviews about Petsi Pies are no joke and for the first time I tasted a pie that lives up to the hype and expectations. I had their Salted Caramel Apple Pie. The apples were cooked perfectly, not too mushy or hard with a hint of seasoning and perfect filling consistency. The salt balanced out the sweet and tart flavours with a flakey pastry. My only regret is i didn't buy another mini pie. Love!!!
Selection is reduced in late afternoon. Good quality.
Fantastic. Everything flavorful and tastes like pure heaven and sunshine. Love the owner too, fabulous lady! Will never stop coming back. I love the apple pie, of course, her cupcakes are to die for, and my goodness that pecan pie. Priceless. I also like how clean everything is, workers wear gloves, you can always see the machines and counter spaces being cleaned. Love every aspect
Good pie, but pricey for almost six dollars a slice. When I went in before 10am, I wanted sweet potato or pecan by the slice. They had it...but who I presume was the owner told me that they only had one whole pie left and wouldn’t cut slices unless they had two or more of that variety.
Ok, I understand that someone might come in later in the day and purchase the whole pie. But I’m a paying customer too, standing right in front of you, and it’s a bummer that I can’t order what I want because someone might purchase it later in the day. She told me I could have sweet potato if I bought the whole pie, which I didn’t want: The solution to this would be to make more pies...but how it is now, I’m not sure it’s good business for the price you pay...you should at least be able to order what you want.
