How would you rate Glow Professional Home Cleaning Services?
I would strongly urge you to NOT use this merchant in any way! I purchased a groupon to use Glow Professional Home Cleaning Services for a “six room carpet cleaning” for 85$. I called them to set up an appointment yesterday in the early afternoon and got an answering machine explaining that they were understaffed and to please leave a message with my contact information and what my carpet needs were. I gave the information and expected a phone call in return.
This morning I received a random text from the company, not labelled by business name, but just a phone number. Here the problems begin—first, what if I didn’t have a smart phone or text capable phone? That is just unprofessional all around! Next, he asked me some basic questions, through text, the first being where was I located and then, with no other explanation or letting me text him what groupon I had purchased be attempted to explain that all I had bought for 85$ bucks was a hot water treatment for three rooms-called their glow silver treatment (or something to that effect). There was no shampooing purchased by me and had I followed the hyperlink in the groupon I would have saw that and that they have no way of knowing what they were walking into before they arrived, hence it was just a hot water cleaning. Then he directed me to a webpage that pretty much conveyed the same information which was also no help whatsoever because I did not purchase the glow silver cleaning package. I said I am looking right at the groupon (and if any of you want to see it I have it as a pdf!) and there was no link to explain that nor was it or a three room cleaning and it was clearly labeled exactly what the offer entailed-carpet cleaning, not a hot water treatment.
I told him that I would contact groupon and that this was all terribly misleading and voice my complaints and concerns about the fidelity of this merchant. Sadly, he replied well here is groupon’s customer service number—there was no attempt on his part to rectify any of the situation aside from his very condescending explanation of what I had bought without even knowing what I had bought from him. He kind of dismissively talked down to me and then, at that point my phone disconnected, (and not on purpose, it just came unplugged as it was charging).
So, my wife called back and had essentially the same conversation, and then he said that our groupon for a three room carpet cleaning was actually expired (again, he never looked at groupon we had or asked what its number was, he just assumed what we had)—again it was a six room cleaning, clearing marked that the expiration date was June 28, 2015. Then he just got annoyed, semi-belligerent and then downright snarky to my wife about what we had purchased and how much he actually made off of these deals, and they never knew what they were getting into until they showed up at the job site.
Bottom line, this was extraordinarily sketchy (a text, really, c’mon . . .), with astounding customer service shortcomings, chock full of false advertising and dishonorable business practices, all while being just aggressive/yet dismissive enough my wife said she would be nervous to actually have this merchant in our home after having this conversation.
This was not some low level company employee either. It was the company’s CEO and owner! Thankfully, groupon refunded our 85$, and quite quickly too (so, that also may say something about the fidelity of this organizations business practices). Again, in the end, I would say to not use this merchant for a number of reasons!
If you use Groupon and try to use the Glow Carpet Cleaning Service.... I highly WOULDN'T suggest it. We paid for the service for up to six rooms which turned out to be only 300 sq ft. We only needed to have the main room cleaned and he wanted to charge us $50 extra for the one room. He said it wasn't worth his time or ours and looked at the expiration date in the beginning. After it took him another five months to come out when tried to reschedule and four months the first time. Don't use this guy and read the fine print when you buy the group on. Not worth the time or money you will spend. Ready yelp reviews to before you purchase a service with this company. I am out $85 and no service performed. He uses Group on but will only do one a day.... Not in the fine print. It isn't shampoo either just a steam clean.
Easy, clean, and fast. I called Glow to make an appointment after my friend recommended them to me. The response to set up an appointment was fast and...read this and 60 more
