How would you rate Martin Luther King Jr Memorial?
Beautiful gardens! The place is amazing, several pieces of large art to view, lots of them incorporating water, including a monument to Dr. King that allows you to walk behind a water fall. Lots of green space to spread out on and just a nice place to take a break or explore. It is right smack in the middle of the Metreon, Yerba Buena Center, and the Moscone Center, so if you are in town for a conference or event at any of those locations defiantly take a moment to check this out.
A hidden greenspace gem. Great for taking a breath of fresh air if you're attending an event at the Moscone.
This is a great park for photography, however there are some homeless people and drug addicts camping out here. The only reason I gave it such a horrible review is because of the security officials hassling me for "looking too professional" with my tripod and camera. I take photos as a hobby, it isn't as if I'm selling the photos and I told them that, and they still hassled me and told me to fold up my tripod while some guy behind the artificial waterfall was obviously smoking pot and the security person didn't do anything at all. If you security people is putting more effort to get me out of the park than the drug addicts then there is a big issue here.
So well located and so nice!! Loved the nig green space surrounded by so many different things: the cathedral, the mall and the arts center. The waterfall looks amazing at night!
One of the best places to visit in San Francisco. Love the views of the rest of the city and the general area.
Beautiful, beautiful place. It's next to the Metreon and art institute/gallery, so you could spend several hours here no problem. Really hard to describe how captivating the views are here. It contrasts especially well with the grittiness of the area. That's only in the daylight though. Once night falls, it gets kinda terrifying
Beautiful place to sit on a bench or the grass, enjoy the weather and talk, read or think. There's an elevated area with a couple of really cool places for tea or a bite. There's a monument fountain for the fight for civil rights with Dr. King quotes - very moving and educational.
We took our three children to the Children's Park, which has the most amazing very tall slides. Family took them to the over 100-year old carousel, and children's creativity Museum, which I highly recommend to take your kids to if you've never been there. It is so much fun for kids and adults! Check out their website for the amazing things that they do, including claymation.
Wonderful public green space in the heart of downtown Market. Surrounded by tall hotel buildings, stores, restaurants and museums. Place to relax in the green lawns and picnic. And if lucky participate free shows and festivals.
I wouldn't go out of my way to see these gardens but if in this side of San Francisco it's cool to look up and be surrounded by the big buildings. It's free to the public and a pretty space that sometimes also has art or concets. If you're going to take the cable cars from Market Street head one street over and walk through the garden and maybe get some tea or food at one of the bordering restaurants. Good place for a couple to just relax. Also near the museums. Depending on how relaxing you could spend from 15 minutes to an hour here.
Peaceful and Tranquility in the midst of hectic activity. A good place to chill, take a breather and regroup. A wall of waterfall adds to the ambience. Part Sun, part share with a big grassy lawn to sit or lie down. Benches available as well. Will connected to all public transit. Waterfall in one end and Church in the other.
A gorgeous little oasis in the heart of the city.
Fountains & flowing water displays line the walking paths making it a visually enjoyable place to take a stroll.
Great area to come and relax on your lunch break. When the weather is nice it’s really enjoyable. There’s a large plot of grassy area and a couple art structures and outdoor landscaping decor to enjoy. It’s also next to the Metreon so there are food options nearby.
An excellent place to relax, unwind and refresh in the midst of skyscrapers !! A beautiful graden space with fabulous landscaping which is very soothing to mind and you get energized by visiting and spending some quality time over here. A very welcoming place with variety of trees with blooming colourful flowers, walkways, beautiful lawn, water bodies, benches all around, play things for children and an ampitheatre too! It is green and colourful with fountains and man-made waterfalls. You can spend good time with your family, friends and children here in the midst of natural setup. Great place to play, work, meditate and also have a picnic !! I just loved this place, a perfect rendezvous with nature for a tired body and mind 😍😊

My son and I went to Descanso Gardens a few days ago. The tulips were amazing. I would highly recommend a visit today before the tulips are gone.
Been my happy place to go with my daughter for two years now! Love that this is in my community and I can't wait for the enchanted forest light show this year! It was a hit with my family last year!
Lovely place with a huge green lawn, terraces, fountains and waterfall. Plenty of space, many benches on sunny spots and in a shadow. Good for rest with friends and family. Food court, cafes and several restaurants are nearby.
Top notch hotel. No expense spared with quality. Neighborhood is super. Staff is exceptional.
Beautiful area. I just wish we weren't suffering through COVIC19 because I would have been able to eat at some of the local restaurants I wanted to try.
Beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors you can walk around or pull up a bench either way it's beautiful!!!
A beautiful little park in San Francisco to enjoy the sun and relax a little.
Nice place to have lunch on a nice day or catch the occasional free music. I am just grateful this park is here as central SoMa is otherwise devoid of parks. Also, note that dogs aren’t allowed here either in spite of some reports to the contrary.
