How would you rate Lil' Bobby Hutton Park?
Probably the best and friendliest place for Roller Skating and other wheel sports. There you make friends with Talents of all sorts as well as the ground keeper TJ too a dedicated and fine individual, I love the ever changing creative Graffity, yeah, call it Art. The community events leave no one out young to old, all across the community. Thank y'all for the times I had there.
Absolutely my favourte park in West Oakland. It's peaceful and calm and has a diverse culture. From the B-ball players to the Skaters. It is also used to hold community events and family BBQ's
Geese poop everywhere. Playground area has blankets and orange cones on it. I wouldn't bring my kids here to play on the playground. The b - ball court is nice if you like playing in geese poop. The skate portion of it is nice though
Its a nice park. Has always been a go to in the summertime
Love this oral. Wish the playground was fixed. (Broken Slide) really great park and the recreation center is awesome!
Cute park. The playset was a good size and configuration for toddlers, though it's not enclosed. I met a friend there. While it was fine for a random visit, I wouldn't consider it a destination playground.
Oakland Black Cowboy Association really make DeFremery Park one of Oakland's finest cultural gathering of the city. For more that 42 years on the first Saturday in October, DeFremery Park has been the host of OBCA's annual parade and festival. Great family fun and excellent food, oh, yes the beautiful horses too. What I love about DeFremery Park, is the fact that it's a "PEOPLE's Park" and NO DOGS ALLOWED. I love dogs.
Some sketchy blacks that like to mutter unsavory things at women, but mostly it's little kids at the playground or teems skateboarding at the skate park.
My favorite park
Not a safe area
I grew up in the area and have loved this park based on the play area options for different ages.
This nice nerve throwie was in the extra parking that was super convenient right not even 100ft across the street
Grew up in this park
I love this historical park. The Victorian era recreation room a plus. The huge climbable oak trees a plus. This park has everything you need for a local summer cookout.
Ms. Terry, Mr. Henry, and Ms. Val are awesome and great to work with. There are a few more staff whose name I cannot recall that are awesome too. It is the small percentage of the other staff that make them get 3 stars.
Pools are closed during the entire summer and the play structure area is a mess! The center windows are all boarded up and looks very unprofessional. This center is a no for me
Recently renovated pool. Great instructors and strong community feel.
Historic park... Little Bobby Hutton Park.
Great Place to spend time with Family and Friends!
Occasionally Fairs are held in the ground. You also reserve the place for special occasions!
The grandson's love it be free at doing 4 or 5 different activities at one time
Very nice neighborhood Park with plenty of parking. This park is not pet friendly though.
Also known as "Little Bobby Hutton Park"
Fun little park with a lot of space. Gets crowded sometimes but the people there are cool and cooperative about it.
1 of the. Best. Park in the Town
Really great park to spend time with family or friends in. A few good spots for slack lining. Really cool to have the skatepark there as well. Check out town park if you ever get the chance, a lot of fun was had here.
Squirrels and goose poop. No dogs bc theyll eat too much poop, its a hazard. My dog rolled in poo sooooo many times here.
Great place for a family bbq with the weather is nice, and plenty of things to do for the kids!!
I have been going to this place since I was a little girl. The play area could be better and needs improving. But it still is a great place to visit.
Park is nice, however it does need to get cleaned more often or at least have signage about picking up your own dog mess
This is the heart of west Oakland i learn to swim in that pool back in the day before we were roller Skating around Lake Merritt
Beautiful Victorian historic house that's been made into a community center where their's a day camp for kids. Library across the street swings with a jungle gym. Beauty park area
Great place to swim. My daughter took swimming classes there this summer, hands on and fun
Nice place for the kids to play...wish they'd keep the restrooms and fountains clean.
I go there for camp really fun and they don't mess around but the house is umm uhh
Great park..to rest listen to music.vendor have been a nice time
Absolutely beautiful & the festival I went to was such a great time.
Not promoted well but nice atomsphere good food 🍲🍥🙉🍱🥗🍲🥘🍜🍝🍧🍨
We held our Christmas party here. It was a nice venue. Just a typical recreation center. No big deal or anything special. Plenty of street parking.
Great family park for BBQ party's
Was a nice festival they had .
Let's keep OAKLAND VIBRANT.
Nice and big park for kids, family, BBQs and birthdays.
I love this park, nice clean, and a West Oakland staple!!!!!! The city of Oakland should be ashamed for the lack of services provided in this park and all parks in West Oakland!!!!!
I live here.
I love it here.
Lots of booties are sculpted on these stairs.
While I watch from my kitchen window.
Been going to this park since a child and they now have a skate park
Defermery Park has been around since forever for a lot of ppl it's the neighborhood park but over but over the years they have built a skateboard ramp and people come from all over to use the skateboard ramp play basketball on the basketball court and they play soccer on the baseball field people can just bring their kids to play here they also have a big house where the kids play recreational games eat lunch the offer summer programs for the kids they also have different things going on in the big house where you can rent the space of you having a gathering
Bbq pits bring ur own coals and meat. Basketball courts. Baseball diamond still there too
Live close by and eat lunch at there picnic tables in shade
It was pleasant
It was lovely I was there when I was a kid now I am 64
It's always been a great Park to go and have picnics and family gatherings but do be prepared there is a lot of moths flying around all of a sudden
Its a lot of space which is good for pets and there lot of things to do.
Not in the best of areas, played softball, its actually our home field, go figure. They have picnic tables, BBQs, basketball courts. Skate park and baseball fields with lots of graffiti, which doesnt look bad. The bathrooms here are atrocious I do not recommend.
West Oakland has seen better days. To be fair, the skate park is all the way legit; an urban skater's paradise. Come to think of it, the kids play area was well maintained, with that recycled rubber surfacing that really works to soften the hard landing. I'm switching to Four Stars!
Greatest community park in Oakland! This place is not only historically relevant, it is still where many people call their favorite place including me.
Got a pizza party for my dad, so I can call and ask if they are still available to rent a house in your butt or just trying to defend my God I love that Guy. be careful with your butt stuff and I will be in your butt and the startup company is a very happy new year.
This park was hazardous to my kids playing here. There is very poor maintenance there’s a caterpillar infestation. I’ve never seen anything like it, almost every trash can we’re covered with them. The caterpillars were hanging on webs from trees, So you had to be careful where you walked and we had to keep food covered at all times because they were falling. We sat coolers on the ground with our beverages and an hour after being there the bottom of the cooler were covered with them. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this park. It’s THE WORST BY FAR!!!!!!
Peace and quiet you know some nice for kids to play
It is a nice place for kids and families. But it needs some more attention in cleaning and maintenance of playgrounds. The foam carpet on the swing area needs to be renewed or changed.
Very well taken care of some of the people walk up to you real nice some aint
Home town family and friends picnic! Enjoyed seeing people that I've not seen in years. There was a Jumper, cotton candy & snow cones for the kids, Dominoes & Bid whist for the adults. Lots of great music & dancing! So much food! The cake was so delicious 😋 Good time was had by all.
There was a reunion picnic for our high schoolers of Mcclymonds high school on Saturday and it was really AWESOME to see "classes" before ours (C/O '89') and after!!👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome food spot but all there soup is way to thick.
Great seating and good location.Great neighborhood spot
Love the skatepark and all the cool graffiti but there's a lot of bums and garbage and very dirty all around it but still the skatepark I highly recommend going to very amazing place
I love the staff here and they love me and my kids great park ms.val is wonderful i feel like they are family
Renamed Little Bobby Hutton Park. Has a dope skatepark that works for little ones in the morning but not so much later on in the day. Life is Living Festival hosted every October here too. Where the BPP would run their workouts at, this park has deep roots in resistence. Love this park.
Nice environment large clean grassy picnic areas. Several Restroom Several Picnic Tables and Beautiful Trees. Play area for all ( KIDS ) Sizes, BABIES too ADULTS Basketball Courts and a Large Educational Job--Resources highly Recommended. Overall all assets in one. Oh Yeah, a New Skate--Board Area. Not to mention the 12 ft. POOL been utilized since I was a little girl. JUST PERFECT!!!!!!🙌
Best skatepark in all of the bay town park rules
Sadly due to covid the baseball field was closed. Also seems like the basketball hoops have been removed probably also due to covid. Still that being said it was beautiful and a lot of space to enjoy. Plenty of families there keeping a safe distance enjoying the weather.
Clean big park. I don't go there other than to along side park while on break but am always in the area riding by, and it is a decent place. Kid friendly as far as I can see.
The Nineteenth festival sponsored by Oakland's youth was amazing and well-organized.
Great place, part of both my girls development
