Last Memorial Day, after a hard rain, and the crowded memorial service the grounds and the people were all great Americans.
There is no word that can describe the beauty of it.
We laid to rest Mr.Alvin Harper on yesterday
My parents and other family members are buried there. Beautiful.
We were here with the Boy Scouts of America for the Memorial Day Good Turn. Being here had me reflect on the sacrifices these thousands of our brave men and women did for our country. I plan to visit here again.
Very beautiful and picturesque
Absolutely beautiful. It is, first and foremost, still an active military cemetery. It's also a historic site. When you come down the road and catch the first glimpse of all the headstones stretching off into the distance, you really start to feel the enormity of the sacrifice of these men and women. I was fortunate to be in the Civil War section as the sun came up on a beautiful June day...seeing the stones and the river lit up was lovely.
Great well maintained
My dads out here. The grounds are always well kept. And since he passed away in mid summer, everytime we go to visit him, a lot of deer are there and very friendly , they never disrespect the graves with their "nature" , you can even feed them!
What a beautiful and humbling place. Thank you to all of the men and women who served!
Beautiful and serene. One of our nation's most historic national cemeteries.
The service for my Father was so moving. I was so proud!
I appreciate the respect they have for the family
It's always well kept, an I feel honored that my parents are here.
Memorial maintenance is exceptional, great place to honor our people
I can always stop by and say hello, to my family! I have 8 of them whom r there!
Always clean and well maintained grounds. Both my parents are at this cemetery now and we park on the side of the nearest road and walk over and visit their grave and put flowers down we purchase from a nearby Walmart.
This such a beautiful cemetery. And, it is a historic site as well.. We recently buried our mom there. We often visit my brother and nephew who was previously buried there.
Damn this is the place where my mama n daddy is buried at damn it's haunted.....
It's a nice place.
I have many family members buried here. Great place. It’s cool that they buried soldiers on an old military training field. You can also feed deer out of your car.
Go there and feel the emotions as you take it all in
So proud that my Dad is buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. 🇺🇸❤️
Very well kept. Numerous family members are buried there.

Such an incredible memorial cemetery to our men and women that served our country. surrounding the area are great parks for the kids, including the sylvan springs water playground, which has been a real treat! Also, lots of eateries in the area to enjoy after your visit.
This is by Far the BEST KEPT Cemetery I ever Been to and 1 day will be My FINAL Resting Place. USN Veteran, USS Missouri BB-63. God Speed and watch over my Mother who is there now and waiting on my Father!
Sect. 00-1, by the River!
Beautiful final resting place for our veterans.
The groundskeepers always keep it clean and well kept. And it's easy to look up plots through their system with their kiosk. Just type in the name of the person who you are looking for.
Beautiful place. Well kept and rich in history.
Please take the time to stop at a national cemetery when you get a chance. As Americans it is important to remember all these men and women who fought for our freedom. Jefferson Barracks is a beautiful place to stop and walk. You will find some headstones that date back to the American Civil War.
Beautiful cemetery. Buried our mom there with our previously deceased sister so they could finally be together again.
I have family here. This was the first time I was here. Very peaceful and lots of interesting monuments.
Beautiful cemetery,well taken care of.
A great cemetery, it’s a beautiful place to remember what our soldiers have sacrificed for the country, they are heroes, they should be memorized forever. Without them, we don’t have our happy and peaceful life nowadays. We must be grateful to all have fought for this country
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery is located in south St. Louis County. I was there this evening visiting my parents as it's my mom's birthday. This cemetery is always well manicured and uniform as you can see from the photos. There's a location finder once you enter the gates. There's an old historic side and then the newer side. Almost every time I go, I always see my fury deer friends. Not a great place to visit, but if you have to, its nice and quiet for thinking, grieving and spending time with your loved one.
Well maintained and a peaceful spiritual environment to honor our loved ones.
I like it because Dennis is buried there may he find final comfort and resting place in the military resting place. Sleep in giant of a great man we loved U but the Lord loved U best make sure u join that heavenly band of gone before U soldiers. DPitts
Beautiful Service for my Dad's memorial. The staff is amazing.
I had to play honors at my own fathers funeral and fold his flag with the then VA rep for JB because the ball was dropped somewhere there. My father who served in three Wars Korea, WWII and Vietnam did not receive full military honors. I flew all the way from Guam Active Duty at the time in uniform and I had to volunteer to play TAPS for my father, and all the rep could do was apologize as she helped me fold my fathers flag. I was heart broken seeing my mother seeing her husband who gave so much be respected so little. I also gave 20+ years of service, is this what my family will look forward to? I was and still to this day beyond disappointed.
Very interesting to visit. Lots to see. Reccomend to all, especially history buffs.
Always kept clean and very nice . we have several family members out there and it's Always kept very nice and clean.
My grand parents are here an my in laws
A every beautiful place. Thanks to you all that served our country🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 my grandfather Ray Tharp an my father in law Ralph E Griffin.
This place is a fitting resting place for those who served to keep us safe. It is well maintained, kept clean and the roads are always in good shape even after it snows.
The deer population is a huge added bonus. They are so beautiful.
This is a very beautiful, well kept burial ground. It makes other cemeteries look subpar. The grounds are always neat and well kept. The deer are a nice addition too haha. I always am happy being here because it is so beautiful and I am confident my loved ones are resting well because of how respectful staff are at keeping everything in order. They are building something new which is nice. It certainly looks different than it did ten years ago which is a good thing. Even though it looked nice then too, it’s nice to always see improvements.
Deceptive. As you approach this cemetery it looks as though it would be an ordinary size. Don't be lulled. Drive or walk through the grounds, and that...read this and 6 more
