How would you rate Broadway Shoe Repair?
He lost my shoes. I can't comment on the quality of work, he has yet to find them.
He has lowered the heel on 3 pair of my shoes and did a very good job. They do not wobble which was a concern going into this. The shop is very small and therefore, very junky but he seems to have a large clientele . One of the customers I spoke with really raved about him. He said he has a shop out in the county and he brings certain jobs to him to repair. I think that is a good recommendation.
I dropped off my shoes & he said they would be ready & to pick them up next Thursday. I come back the next Friday & they are sitting on the counter & he hasn't even started working on them. I told his assistant that they were supposed to be finished & he simply responded "well they arn't" the owner tells me to come back in a few hours. & when I finally picked them up you can tell they were rushed & he used super glue on my shoes. & of course they broke in the exact same spot because of his terrible craftsmanship & lack of time management. Absolutely no respect for the customers time.
I come in - drop my shoes off! Pick them up in a day or so. They are shiny
Not the best organization in the shop but they do good work.
Do Not go here. Period. I promise you, you will regret it. Poor craft and makes black businesses as a whole look horrible. I'm highly upset.
Note: it's cash or check only. No card.
I brought in a pair of birkenstocks to be resoled on Wednesday and they had them done by Friday. And for $15-20 cheaper than every other cobbler I called. I explained that I needed it fast and they were totally understanding. Every other place I called gave me a week or two for turnaround time. I'll definitely be going back.
Horrible Service, Lost My Shoes, I brouggt in for repair !!! I'm Done !
Glad to have him there for us. Longtime business owner. Great work on my dress shoes.
What do you expect from that kind of person
A BRIGHTER establishment would treat you better than them subhumans
This place is such a gem! The zipper on my boots broke and everywhere else was quoting me over twice as much as I ended up paying at Broadway Shoe Repair. They did a fantastic job, not to mention that the people that work there are really sweet-- great costumer service! They also shined my boots so well that it looks like I have a whole new pair of shoes. And rescued a different pair of boots that were so worn thin they had a small hole in the bottom. They replaced the whole bottom, glued the sides, and polished them to cover up some pretty serious wear and tear. Can't speak highly enough of this place!
Have used for over 2 decades. Best I have ever used, whether living in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas or St. Louis.
Small, privately owned business. Damn fine work for a damn good price!
James is fantastic. Old school shoe shine. Fast and at a good price.
They do great work and very reliable, they been a landmark on Broadway for years.
They are attention to detail, friendly ole school and nice conversation. My dad and big brother took me there years ago, I'm so happy they are still there. Great job.........
Delightful ole blk gents with an antique trade. Fixed my kicks real nice. Reasonable. 🖤
The staff was great and very knowledgeable
BEWARE! Horrible service, completely disorganized and neglectful of their customers belongings. I dropped of a beautiful antique leather briefcase and they said they couldn’t find it weeks after I dropped it off. HowTF do you lose a briefcase in a shoe shop? Then they said they thought it had been taken off premise. Then they stopper returning calls.
Losing items seems to be a pattern for this place. Makes you wonder if their not finding a more lucrative avenue to profit from their customers belongings other than the fee that they would get for repairing them and returning them to you.
The gentleman who was working was kind and friendly. The shop is quite small. The man could tell I was a bit frazzled and out of place and when I mentioned to him I had a long drive and a tricky time getting parking, he expedited my repair (replacing heel taps for my pumps!) and they were done in 30 minutes so I wouldn't have to make another trip and find another spot another day. (I wouldn't count on that always being the case because there appeared to be a lotttttt of other shoes he was working on. I think my repair was just super simple). Make sure you have cash- they don't take plastic. It was very affordable. I highly recommend this shop.
My husband dropped off my boots on Monday and was told they would be ready Thursday. I was hoping they were going to be re- soled... Thursday came around...read this and 10 more
