How would you rate Peaches ?
My Mom and I loved the food here. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and the staff is very helpful with giving menu recommendations. We had the Salmon with spinach and artichokes. It was cooked perfectly. Well worth the wait.
Definitely get the granola encrusted French toast and Tiger Woods (Arnold Palmer with soul)... The music definitely set the mood from Amel Larrieux to Jill Scott.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food. We sat on the bar side of the restaurant, but they still serve the full menu. There were games, full bar, and excellent food. Although the cornbread was super dry, the rest of my meal was on point.
The French toast is by far the best I've ever had! Amazing place with great service and food.
A poor choice. Yes, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The food is ok, but overpriced. The service is terrible. While we were there the manager spent a lot of time flirting with the waitresses. The place was half full, but for 10 minutes the whole staff disappeared into the back, not a person to be seen. I had to get up and pour my own coffee refill. We only had coffee, and breakfast, (no alcohol) and the cost was almost $50. there are better and cheaper places in Brooklyn for breakfast. I will not return.
Very cozy restaurant. The Brooklyn wings and BBQ fries are delish. They show sports on the TV at the bar next door, which is a plus.
Great service. Delicious artichoke dip with seasoned chips. I got the blackened chicken with a side of mac and cheese, which was good, but not the best I've had.
very nice food was good and tasty
Very nice atmosphere, great service, and yummy drinks!
Granola crusted French toast changed my life. Like, I was living my life completely wrong until the moment my taste buds encountered their redemptive goodness. I feel my soul stirring up within me even writing this review. All praises be!
Great food. Great service. They were super busy the night we were there & our food took a little longer than anticipated to come out so our waiter gave each of us a complimentary piece of cornbread. It was delicious!
Dope and personal staff. Amazing food, especially the grits and I'm from the south
mediocre and flavorless "southern fare"
v much overpriced and hipster in bed stuy.
Amazing food. The skillet chicken was delicious and moist. The crab cake and the gumbo are to die for.
Horrible. Broccoli and greens had no taste. The Brooklyn chicken was ok, the sauce made it decent. Online menu is outdated so being that I was picking up my meal, the total was completely different as expected. I would never recommend or return. Just being honest.
The service is great here. We always get the bk wings they are really good and the sweet potatoes fries are good. And one time we had the pumpkin cheesecake, that was really good as well
Sweet potato fry is great, gumbo was good, catfish might be ok, corn bread wasn't the best, creamed spinach was not seasoned, and hand ground burger was horrible. Actually burger was really awful. I knew I shouldn't order a burger at this kind of cafe. But I gave it a try and I wasn't wrong. Won't come back for sure.
peaches is great! love the fried chicken sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also great brunch, also everyone is so nice! and i love the lightning hopkins cocktail
Excellent service excellent food wonderful people good service nice atmosphere highly recommended Super.!
Loved the wings. They're a must have. And the music was great too. Nice atmosphere.
Small location but amazing food and there was a live jazz musician while we ate. Parking is a little tough though.
This restaurant is one of the gyms of Bed Stuy Brooklyn I cannot say enough great things about their food and service I love the live band that plays for you on Saturday mornings playing mini Neo Soul Classics as well as 70's oldies a great place to go for friends and Families with a nice Southern down-home Charm
The food, ambiance and customer service was stellar. I enjoyed every minute of my experience. I have been there twice and will be going again. Make sure you try the shrimp and grits when you go.
The food was good, service was fine atmosphere is relaxing and a mixed crowd the music caters to everyone. If you don't like sweet potato fries give them another chance here😍. Went twice will be back soon
I just had my Halloween Dinner here! Good atmosphere, and three large TVs at the bar!
The main courses came in large portion! However the appetizer was kinda expensive, it was $10 for 4pcs of shrimps. the food was okay.
They gave free flan when u check-in on Yelp!
I like this place, definitely will come back to try more Mexican food!
Peaches remains consistent and true to self. I have been here for brunch and dinner and everything always taste great.
Southern classics refined with thought. You should try the shrimp & grits, short ribs and the Mac n Cheese. For dessert have the chocolate brownie.
Great drinks and brunch menu. However, they say Brunch is until 4 but if you atrive at 3:30pm, the staff turns you away. I had this unfortunate experience and not even the floor manager was willing to accommodate me and my guest. However, someone that the manager knows walked in and they were seated promptly. Unbeknownst to me that they said we should have made reservations but that was never mentioned when I called at 3pm. I like to support local businesses but don't go there if you are going after 3pm or don't know the floor manager, a fair skinned woman of color with curly hair.
Literally had a meatloaf sonata....in my mouth.
Beet salad TO die for...
Mac and cheese
WE'RE definitely going to be coming back.
Awesome place to eat and socialize. Family friendly atmosphere with quick service for brunch on a Sunday. Very diverse crowd with lovely music to groove to. Will definitely be back.
The shrimp and grits were yummy. I experimented with the cinco de mayo tamales they were kinda yucky but it was just a one day attempt so i decided not to hold it against them. The ambiance is perfect and the drinks were good. Love the place and the crowd...
Not a bad spot for a bite to eat and some good conversation. Weather permitting, sit outside and people watch as you have a stiff drink. The neighborhood has come a long way since Billy Joel sang about it folks.
Food menu is a wonderful variety of options. Hostess and waitress Service wasn't so wonderful. 25 minutes for drinks and way to long for the waitress to be presenting any appearance of caring for the her guest's needs. We got up and went to the kitchen for our own ketchup.
I LOVE THE FRIED SHRIMP AND FRENCH TOAST. THERE IS ONE MORE DISH BUT I CAN NOT REMEMBER THE NAME. I LOVE THIS PLACE! All the workers have great customer service skills, the place is clean and the food cook fresh.
I came here alone for lunch since I live in the area and was pleasantly surprised by their soul food! I had the mac and cheese, with fried chicken, and collard greens with a southern mixed drink. Awesome service with prices that you can't beat.
Plan on waiting at least 10 minutes, but even up to an hour for dinner or brunch. But you know what, this is the best hot chicken in the city. It's worth the wait.
Plus, get the mac & cheese. Never skip the mac & cheese.
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful music. The whole experience of this place takes you away to some other world.
The setup of the venue is very nicely done. Everything from the elevator attendant to the lighting at the bar was well thought out.
The service was excellent from the check in all the way to the end. I only stayed for drinks and music, but the staff was completely accommodating with that.
The cocktails themselves weren't overly spectacular, especially considering the fact that they were I am pretty picky when it comes to cocktails.
Thewas pretty good. Not overly loud even though I was sitting pretty much next to the stage. After ended the the stage became more of a fairly classy cabaret show.
Will definitely recommend
I was looking for a delicious burger in this area one night and stumbled upon Juniper. This establishment is a small place, but do not let that scare you from coming here. The service was good and I had a great meal here.
There is an old school feel about this place, as they are and have an antique cash register that actually looks pretty cool. Like I mentioned previously, there are only a few tables and seats inside. There is an area in the back you can sit, which truly looks just like a patio of a person's home. I would not mind sitting out there during a nice day.
Twas good. Of course it was a burger with but the meat was juicy and full of flavor! I also got it with spicy fries which were great! They were crispy and not overly seasoned.
The menu here is pretty interesting and for a small place they have some good items to try, which in my eyes, makes it worth coming back here!
This is my second time coming here. The first time I remember I thought the crab cake sandwich was decent, so this time I decided to get shrimp and grits. It was delicious. Their collard greens are awesome too.
They don't take reservations, but they sat us quickly (there was only 2 of us). I was annoyed by the flies that kept buzzing around. Other than that, good spot!
My blackened chicken with avocado sandwich, french fries and Mexican coke were delicious. They love mayonnaise at Peaches. Next time might go with mustard.
Cake pops were delicious. Moist, chocolate and just the right portion.
Parked right out front - no meter as they have construction project. Staff is friendly.
*interesting decor and ambience. Can't really do it justice with description. Maybe skateboarder meets NY ? I thought it was cool.
Waited over an hour to be seated despite being told 35 min wait. Because of the nature of the tables, if there is a table for 5 that's become free, they will put through a party of 5 over 3, even if the 5 just walked in and your party of 3 have been waiting hours. However the manager was polite and apologetic when they finally seated us and service was good. Food was average though and felt like an anti climax after the excruciatingly long wait.
Hot and bumping bar/restaurant. Fun place. The burger was really good. Also recommend the short rib and shrimp & grits.
Really good food and attentive staff. Worth a visit if in Brooklyn
The brownstone punch is tasty but ask them to make it a bit stronger. The short ribs where heaven!! (Was too excited, forgot to take a photo)
Really use to be one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants for great food and great service. Plus last I checked its black owned. But today I was highly disappointed. My family and I arrived at 4 and was told the kitchen is closed until 5. A young lady placed my name on the list and we sat and waited. During this time other guests also came in and joined the waiting list. At 5 I expected to be seated promptly but I was not. Assuming the best I figured they needed a few more minutes. Again I've been coming here for years so I was not upset. I became highly upset when two white women walked in, approached the waitress who was also white and seated them in 3.5 seconds. I got up and walked to another employee and expressed "we have been sitting here for a while with our name on the list, and your co worker just sat those two guests who JUST walked in!" He said to me everyone will be seated no worries and we don't have a list. So I hallucinated and saw your previous waitress write my name. Okay! It's is a huge problem here! You didn't even acknowledge your guests which is restaurant etiquette 101. I was definitely not sitting there to keep the chairs warm. Then to think I express my problem to the waitress herself she just replied there is a lot of seats. Then she got the "non existent list" with my name and started seating accordingly. You ignored everyone in the waiting area. Seated two people who just walked thru the door and then give an unapologetic response of there is a lot of seats left??!! Not the point and completely out of line! Needless to say I'm highly disappointed. I advise a refresher on customer service. As much as I love Peaches I will not be going back.
Short wait considering so many people waiting outside, right after church got out. The French Toast is,hands down, the best. Simple Salad was full of flavors. Cornbread, amazing. Real enjoyable Bloody Mary. Great service
Back in Brooklyn. The local restaurant scene is growing and getting better everytime I come back home. Peaches is close by, good food and a place to chill with family and friends. Full disclosure... the service on a Friday was slow and the server wasn't on point.
Really good food and awesome people! I loved the lightness of the decor i most definitely will come back! The only thing i did not like was the lack of any real vegan options or even the option to customize a little more. The drinks were great too!
Be prepared to wait outside. I feel they should have accommodation for persons waiting too be seated. The food was so good though. The French toast is too die for. Great food, good service, long wait but It was worth it
The first food we ate upon arriving in Brooklyn and it definitely set the tone. I had the shrimp po-boy and my wife had the meatloaf. If you are in the area I would highly recommend it.
Catfish was tasty. Wings were excellent with a little spice. Lemonade hit the spot. Mash potatoes were whipped nicely and tasted even better.
Excellent food. The service was great although they just got a new POS system which meant some missing items from our meals. Our server was apologetic and did his best to fix the error. Thanks Sam!
Food is awesome! Fast service and friendly staff! Great ambiance as well... I like the live band addition in the background, gives it a nice southern feel for real! Definitely coming back again!
Great Shrimp and Grits. Kale Salad was on point. Didn't have enough napkins though. Oh, The wings were awesome! The waitress and staff was phenomenal.
Delicious food! Friendly staff and fast service. The vibe of the restaurant is smooth and soulful. I would totally recommend Peaches 👍🏾
Delicious food and friendly environment. Music a bit too loud for my taste but still good place for food. Be prepared to wait a while for a table unless you're VIP with management like me.
Born and raised in NYC ... Out of every black owned / non black / Thai / every type of restaurant I have been to. This place has the best food. And the best service . The music that is being played while you dinning is great. The only thing that was wrong was the seating . That guy in the front has the worst attitude when seating or when you suggest a place you would like to sit at. Besides that it's a great place to dine at..... HANDS DOWN.
Delicious. And service was superb (maybe her name was Alice?) !!!! Prices were comparable. Music was AMAZING. I can't wait to go again.
Great food and ambiance. The staff was very friendly and fast. Will definitely come back.
I was surprisingly disappointed after reading good things. The environment is nice, the servers were fine. The menu is a perfectly manageable size.
The food was not bad... not amazing but not bad. I’d be keen to go back and try a few more items.
The drinks however were horrible. I barely had any of my wine because it was so horribly sweet. My friend ordered a mixed drink and it was basically store bought juice with a bit of gin. I have made a better drink in my own house and I didn’t have to pay $10 for it
Great food. I wanted something light so I tried the flounder. The coating was seasoned well and not heavy. Cole slaw was good. My friend thought the Shrimp and cheese grits was a side dish, but that didn't matter....it was quite tasty!!
The wait was ridiculous, the waiter forgot they other person's order and claimed that she thought that only one person ordered food after DISTINCTIVELY making a recommendation between items for the other person. About 20 to 30min after getting my food the other plate finally arrived, by that time my food was cold because I waited so that we could eat together. I sent my food back to be heated and overall I can say I was not satisfied with my food.
I expected much more from the experience. I do not feel that I saw what the wait was for. Hopefully if I decide to return during another time I'll have a better experience.
Friendly staff. Reasonably priced meals. Food is to die for! If you’re looking for a place to go for brunch, this is it! The granola-crusted french toast is delicious!
Loved it all. Got to try a bit from my family, and it was great. But I had the Short Rib and it was amazing! Very tender and flavorful. Would highly suggest anything here! Although, the music was a bit loud until when it got more towards dinner time.
I came here for brunch. The wait wasn't really long, but I would still make reservations next time. The music was really cool and not too loud! It was like fun reggae, west Indian music. They had a long menu and yummy options. I didn't ask, but No vegan options from the look of the menu and they don't allow substitutions. I would deff go back for brunch!
Food is really yummy. Vibe is fun. Been for brunch a couple times and dinner once. One Sunday they had live music which was cool, but not if you’re going to try to talk and catch up with someone. The food is so good and if you’re interested, there’s lots of other seating that is usually available.
Excellent comfort food in a stylish but still welcoming environment. Southern staples like catfish and shrimp and grits. Really good food for dinner and brunch. Nice place for a casual date night.
Nice place haven't been in a while. Had the salmon which was good flavorful. Brownstone punch was tasty but watered down. But I also didnt drink it right away so most of the ice did melt. Nice vibes and tunes, everyone was friendly.
I love the food here and every time I get a visitor from home come up we go here for breakfast. The food is worth what you pay for and the service is exceptional. My only complaint is technically not the restaurant's fault. The weekend is packed and the line is out the door and the patrons scatter so once their party is called they are no where to be found. The hostess does a second and third call and nothing. Finally after a few more parties are called that missing in action party shows up again saying they have been waiting forever and when are they going to be called which throws the whole order out of line. This happens a lot there.
Brunch was delicious! Great music selection! Great looking people eating and working there. Good service.
I normally have great PRAISES for Peaches. But tonight was AWFUL!!!!
I called to place my take out order, NO ANSWER. Then I walked over there, waitress was very nice taking my order. It took 52minutes to prepare salmon (medium with no olives or artichokes and no spicy sauce)!! My spinach was undercooked. I asked it to be prepared better, when I got home seems as though salt was poured over my salmon. IT WAS HORRIBLE. Couldn't eat it without scraping off the top layer of the salmon. IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE I GO BACK. I'm sad because Peaches has been my go to restaurant for many years. Salmon is my dish. So I do know how it should've tasted. I'm so disappointed!!!
I've been to Peaches many times and I enjoy it every time. This time in particular was probably my best experience!! Our food was very good but the service we had was mostexceptional. Gabby was kind patient and very accommodating and did it all with a beautiful smile!!
Had the goat cheese salad with grilled chicken..it was amazingly good. Well seasoned, little bit spicy, chicken was not over cooked. The peach dessert..was amazing.. sinful..yet more than worth it...OMG!!
It’s a hoppin’ place, but I’ve never had to wait more than five minutes to be seated. The food is excellent (and very reasonably priced). Service is quick, and among the friendliest I’ve had in NYC. The atmosphere is homey and the decor is nice without trying too hard.
I have had the burger and the beef short ribs, which were both delicious.
It's usually a happy hour/ladies night venue.. The food and drinks are good but they're too many inconsistencies with drinks and food portion size.. If we order the thing it should look the same. Portions shouldn't be 2 and 3 times bigger than the next yet the price is the same. The same drink should never taste different. Other than that it's an OK spot.
We were a party of three, we had a great time at this establishment. Loved loved loved the food, everyone their was friendly, with a warm attitude . Our waitress, Dominique, was quite friendly, attentive, warm, and very helpful. Our only complaint had to do with the seating. On arrival we had to wait to be seated, as the establishment was reopening after the shift change, a couple came in they went to the front of the line and were seat first; as everyone was trying to tell what was going on, the employee kept saying everyone will be seated) that was not cool. As I stated earlier the service was great, our waitress Dominique was extraordinary. IF I may recommend to all my non- alcoholic drinking friends try the tiger woods...2 thumbs up..It helped us not to dwell on the seating incident.
Very crowded during brunch time. There is an approximate wait time of 20-30 minutes for a party of 2-3. You have to have your entire party there to be seated. They also have seatings available for big groups; a group of 18 was waiting to be seated. It's very tight, and mainly standing room only in the waiting area. Because of how over crowded it was, the service could have been better. Not attentive at all, but the food was food. The only thing I could say wasn't good at all was the Coleslaw; probably the worse I ever tasted. The dessert on the other hand, was delicious!
Delish place, just like Peaches Hot House. Definitely different though. More menu choices, but same great atmosphere.
Seriously. The service is horrendous. We waited to be seated, which was fine. We sat outside and was literally ignored for over an hour. I am not lying. They have us the pitcher of water with no cups. We walked over and got our own cups. A party behind us us got seated, served, paid their bill before us. Finally, this nice gentleman at the bar came to give us our drinks. And we vented to him, that’s when the waitress came and took our order. Wow. What a horrible place. The food was good. I will not lie about that. But everything else was hottible. The audacity that after we finally get our food, the waitress finally addresses us.
Went here after work with some friends. The place has a chill vibe in a cozy atmosphere. Food and drinks are awesome. Prices are reasonable. Friendly staff with good service. I will definitely be back!
Nice atmosphere. Good for a date or dining with friends n family. Delicious food. Everything is seasoned perfectly. Good location. Easy to access via public transportation or car.
2018 September so the outdoor seating was off limit. The dinning area seemed so tiny to me so I opted for the bar. What am I saying, I always prefer the bar.
I tried the grits and shrimp. Been wanting to try grits for a minute. I loved it. The shrimp sauce with the mushroom, scallions and white wine tasted so great over the grainy grits. I'll be back if only for that.
The flounder/w/FF and coleslaw couldn't stand next to the grits.
Nice staff. Management seemed cool too. Patrons extremely nice.
Ladies the toilet is only for backing in, stooping, acrobatic flush, sideway hand wash and out. Tiny room. Make sure the door is locked though.
I like Peaches.
Service by hostess and waiter was very good. Atmosphere is lively but not too loud. We started with the beet salad that was overpowered by a tangy taste. It was a good portion and it was nice and fresh but the taste was a little off. My wife had the salmon cakes which she enjoyed thoroughly. I had the broiled salmon which was devoid of taste. My wife ordered a gin martini which was made with too much vermouth. She endured the first one but specifically asked that the second one be made without so much vermouth. The second one came back the same as the first and was sent back. The third attempt was the same so it was sent back also and we told them to forget about an additional drink. When the bill arrived we were billed for two martinis. I told the waiter that we only had one martini so that's what we should be billed for. He hesitatingly agreed and went to change the bill. His manager then upbraided him within our earshot about him changing the bill. The manager was disrespectful to the waiter and to us as he was a few feet from our table whilst speaking to the waiter. This left a bad taste in my mouth and coupled with my mediocre food does not make me wish to return in a hurry.
After being told my wait was 20 min, i waited 60 minutes for a table of four. My food took another 45 min and all the manager offered after I complained about the food wait was a dessert. When we refused due to the likelihood of another long wait and the late hour, nothing further was offered. When I complained about the overall experience, he took $12 off the $140 bill.
Shame on me for allowing such an experience and shame on you for not attempting to value your customer.
The manager was there at the start of the night and offered the hostess little to no support. He actually walked past waiting customers to make a personal call outside. Shame on you and as owners in the community...you need to watch your business or my business will not be the only one permanently lost. Gentleman start minding the store...
Went there for breakfast and we arrived as they opened. Within 15 minutes every table was taken. The food was great and and the staff was friendly. The bacon was phenomenal and stood out among everything else for me. I look forward to going back when I'm in the neighborhood.
Great atmosphere, nice music, great food, great service and great dessert. I truly enjoyed myself and I will be going back. I truly recommend them.
My sister & I went there for dinner. BBQ chicken wings.. .delicious! The BBQ ribs was tough & dry..drinks ..delicious. .collard greens..also tough..waitress & service was great. Management was not courteous or apologetic about ribs. Did comp the dish. Atmosphere & music very nice. Overall experience was enjoyable. We will return again.
Went for a saturday brunch and the food was AWESOME! Even though it was after 2pm, the wait wasn't long at all.... not even 10min. Super friendly staff, though or server was a bit scatterbrained. Minus our meal, we had to ask him for things 2/3 times. Twice having to ask someone else. The atmosphere was great. It had the feel of being at your grandma's, from the food to the music that was playing. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.
Cute place good food and service. Grits were a little to lumpy for me. Omlette was decent... Pulled pork oven baked grits were okay. Drinks were good. I would recommend going early as it gets real busy later in the afternoon.
Table for two seated right away, It gets busy so I would recommend calling ahead if you have a larger party and don't want to wait. One of my favorite Brooklyn breakfast spots-- high quality ingredients, good coffee, good portions. Probably my favorite location, as it's a little bigger inside so it's easier to get a table.
What in the wait time happened to Peaches? My goodness. I always expect to wait when I get there but the last three times, my wait was dramatically understated. Once by 40mins and once by an entire hour when I would have gladly just sat my behind at the empty bar.
This place is great. They have two locations on the same block. One is just bigger then the other. The ambiance is a subtle look. The food was tasteful and in big portions. Make sure you have room to eat.
So we ended up here because we had the wrong address for a restaurant with the same name. Although we did not eat here, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food that came out looked like it was made with love. The ambiance was filled with soul and love.
Definitely will come back to eat here.
This restaurant is a cute gem in a neighborhood that is growing so much! The service is kind of slow, but the food is good! The menu is southern/comfort food, and the ambience is homey with nice music.
Waited 25+ minutes to have a waiter (the only one working, it seemed) finally come up to us and ask if we’d been helped yet. Took ages for him to return to take our order. I ordered coffee and never got it until I asked the person who served us our food 20 minutes later to bring coffee. That person then said he had to ask the waiter? Got the coffee at least, but no refills (because waiter never stopped by) or anything (they didn’t charge for it - not sure if that was a mistake or them being nice, but I wasn’t going to point it out.) The waiter only came to check on us when it was time to clear our plates. We had to ask other staff for butter, jelly, etc. It took a long time for the waiter to come pick up the check (after we finally got it), too. I saw other tables being tended to (“How is everything? Can I get you anything?”) but not ours. My food was fine, which is why I’m giving this place two stars instead of one. If this was happening on a busy weekend morning, I’d be better understanding, but it was a Monday after 11 and it was NOT that busy. Crummy experience.
This place has great food but the menu here on Google is completely inaccurate. Half the stuff on the menu here, they don’t actually have. So I just walked several blocks for a Pulled Pork sandwich only to find that they DO NOT have pulled pork sandwiches here... this menu got my hopes up after they closed The Smoke Joint. Please update your menu, guys, this is false advertising.
Great place! Brice was very pleasant! The wait was a little long. Suggestion, have hot syrup with butter for French toast. Granola makes it dry, it got cold quickly and with cold syrup it wasn't as appealing as the taste was. It would be amazing with buttery, hot syrup even if it got a little cold.
Excellent!! Ran into friends celebrating a birthday.... sitting at a table to my right was a man named Paul; Paul and his family were celebrating his daughter's graduation from Pratt Institute. We shared each other's children's accomplishments, needless to say with much gin and laughter. It was the best of times....
One of the best brunch spots I’ve ever been to. Food was delicious, our server was great. A very welcoming and comfortable space.
The staff was excellent..The food is always great.. I ordered the sweet and spicy BBC chicken with mac ... Delicious... Thumbs up for call in orders ..
This place was highly recommended to me by someone in the neighborhood. I had been told the wings were delicious and they did not disappoint. I also got a side of mac & cheese. They were generous amounts. I sat at the bar & the bartender was quite busy. I never got my drinks refilled since it was hard to get his attention. Still, food was great and a really nice place.
I enjoyed my meal it was delectable, me and my mother both had a chicken dish and it came out slamming. The mac n' cheese is scrumptious and was the best part of our meal. Also we played a prank with our waitress and we made her day. So I really recommend this place for anyone in the area
Always great food. Kid family friendly & festive environment. I find that the service of food and drink is a bit slower due to how busy it is but it is worth the wait.
Delicious, healthy meals. Brunch is my favorite. Owner actually meets with customers and notices when you revisit his restaurant!
He's also compassionate. He looked out for a senior citizen (Sister Wright is now 103), who lived above the restaurant by providing her with free meals, whether she came downstairs to the restaurant or not!
There was no a/c on one of the hottest days of the summer. Everyone was suffering! I'm giving it 2 stars for the good food but the manager /owner should've at least offered free dessert or discounts for us staying.
This is my second visit to Peaches ( the first time was years ago). I had brunch which consisted of french toast, cheese grits, scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast was so very good!! Light well done without being too sweet or dense. My eggs were cooked as I requested, scrambled well, nice and fluffy. The grits were a disappointment. They were a little watery and needed something, possibly some salt ( which can be added at the table). On the whole food was good, service was good. Well worth the visit. Great neighborhood spot to eat at.
Very neat and clean place!! Well mannered staff and well communicative. They very well know how to take care of their customer needs. I was satisfied enough with their quick and quality services. Also, food was pretty delicious and affordable.
Peaches has never disappointed me. I haven't been here in years and thought that the food would be different from when I last ate here. Nope. It was even better! I brought my bestfriend with me and she absolutely loved the food and the environment. Thanks for all your awesome service!
Other than the atmosphere and good music I was disappointed. My Mom’s friend raved from previous visit a while ago who is a chef so it was a go. Order the Gumbo which had the consistency of rice and gravy and no taste. Put salt/pepper and hot sauce and still no taste. Ordered wings which were okay. Taste like wings from Buffalo Wild Wings on sale day. Mac and cheese was bland and had a weird consistency. Crab Cakes taste store bought better with the sauce but again nothing to run home about. The one thing that was decent that I normally don’t eat was the coleslaw. Great water, lemon, and atmosphere
A neighborhood staple and a good place to bring out of town era. I usually stick with the catfish sandwich. They also had musicians vibe out on the very few times I’ve been there on weekends. Just expect a bit of a wait during brunch hours on the weekends.
Amazing sweet tea!! We got the spinach and artichoke dip to start which was great, and the mac and cheese to share. I had the spare ribs, which were flavorful. The greens on the side were good but could use a bit more spice and the mashed potatoes didn't have much flavor at all, but mixing it all together made a great bite
Food and staff were amazing!!!! I had my suprise party there last night and was blown away by everything. I had to stop the waiter just to tell him the food was so good. The staff let us have fun and accommodated everything we asked for. Thanks to the owners and staff for making my birthday so awesome. It was my first time there but I will definitely we back.
When In New York you have to eat, thankfully my little brother enjoys different food as much as I do, and he's been showing me some awesome places during my visits to see him. This was a lunch stop on day one of my trip and I had no idea what to expect but I always go in with an open mind when it comes to food so I’ll go wherever
Peaches is located amongst some beautiful brownstones the ceiling is that awesome molding and some simple but interesting art.
On to the best part the food, the menu has a ton of options and it makes me want to go back right away to check out, but I settled on a crabcake sandwich with some fries. Not mad at my choice, the crab cake was juicy, full of flavor and had just the right amount of spice. Fries were thin cut and tasty.
Of course I had to have some drinks. With the meal I had the hello Brooklyn, which was made with gin, very refreshing and perfect for the end of summer. For dessert we had Irish coffees with Jamison. Also the service was awesome very friendly woman who was attentive but not overbearing. I’ll come back here without a doubt!
Peaches has a delicious selection of southern style dishes. The shrimp & grits are usually my favorite because it's seasoned to perfection. Unfortunately for me on this occasion they must have been in the process of re-warming up the grits. Terrible idea. They were flavored nicely, but to loose and not hot enough. My friend who had the catfish and grits agreed. Both dishes would have been superb and would have deserved 5 stars had they made fresh grits.
Love this place! Cozy and welcoming ambiance with great music, excellent customer service, delicious food, and a great drink menu. Highly recommend visiting this spot for dinner and/or drinks (don't skip dessert either!). They were great and accommodating even with our large group. I'd love to come back here again!
Pros:This cozy restaurant is so beautiful. The food was satisfying and the service was great and atmosphere was nice as well. I will definitely return I would like to try there breakfast and brunch menu.
Cons:The only thing I can say is they need to get a few fly traps. It’s not infested with flies but just seeing the few irritated me.
Fast service, hot and tasty meals. The wait time was tolerable but to give you a heads up, you might be dining in the annex of the establishment as they now have two dining areas.
Not too pricy $$. Clean facility and very relaxed setting.
Peaches is a beautiful restaurant here in Stuyvesant Heights. Super cool decor, staff incredibly friendly and cheerful on the morning we went in.
Had the eggs and sausage breakfast. Both were great; only knock against would be the eggs were a little too under done, and the toast was french toast, with tons of cinnamon and icing sugar(?!)
Just really threw me off, as it is not indicated as such on the menu, and I found it to be far too sweet with an egg breakfast.
It is important to mention that this small Southern restaurant gets a lot of attention, due to the location and their consistency. For me, Peaches started the “Brunch phenomenon” .The food is made with love and time. It is safe to say some things are worth the wait.
On the weekend, no one minds being patient for a table. Make sure your reservation is locked. Walk-ins are best for the weekdays. Always call ahead. I had the salmon, French toast, and egg Benedict. Trust me, it is worth the ride.
Why didn't I take a picture of my plate the numerous times I have been there?? I’m from Brooklyn, I do not play with my food.
I came to this location yesterday for a nice brunch. Me and my husband got here just as the doors was opening. Immediately we was sat down & greeted. Our server was very warm and inviting ((sorry I can’t remember her name)) she made sure we was very comfortable especially since we brought our 6 month old with us. The food came very quick especially with the fact that the restaurant filled up very quickly. I got the catfish sandwich with a side salad. The portions, even though I thought would be small was very generous & my favorite part was the Cole slaw it was definitely something to write home about. If I can make a recommendation about anything I would change the type of bread on that sandwich. The bread definitely took away from the fish that was perfectly cooked & tasty because it was so fluffy so all you really taste was bread. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I've been to Peaches twice. I am a huge fan of Peaches Hot House for their food. 5 stars for sure. Peaches on the other hand is a bit less flavorful. I...read this and 893 more
