How would you rate Party Life Productions?
Great local and national acts play here but my favorite part is the dance club that opens after the show Friday and Saturday night. Friday is is 80's night and Saturday is more contemporary but both are all about dancing. You can hang out at the bar if you want to, but this club is all about dancing your face off unashamedly on stage.
Webt out to smoke a cig was then told no re entry when it clearly said no where on the sign. Did it say re entry very disapointed
Very nice venue, right in downtown Orlando. Sound guy was very friendly as were the bartenders. The venue was smaller than I thought it would be, but still managed to pack several hundred people in. Nice balcony area for taking photos/videos of the bands and load in/out wasn't terrible.
Could be a great venue. But promoter currently in charge doesn't know how to promote or run a show. Place is getting dirtier and dirtier. Local bands get shafted for playing times and always get there sets cut short. If your looking to book here wait a month or two bc the promoter who is currently there is running the venue into the ground is leaving soon. They want u to sell tickets but can't give u a confirmed set time. Then they change set times day of the show. Horrible decision making and lack of effort by promoter Kyle. All he wants is bands money no passion for music. But the sound guy who currently works there is badass!! He is keeping that place alive
Cheap drinks, good times. Great location next to a parking lot in downtown. Close to everything else in Orlando
I love this place, I come here all the time for shows and events, the bar tenders are all super nice and I never have a problem with the staff... until last night. I don't know what the guy working the doors name was at closing but he was incredibly rude. As I was going to leave I turned around to make sure my friends were following me and he put his hand on me and started yelling that I couldn't come back in (even though I hadn't even left yet) and when I tried to clarify I wasn't trying to stay I just wanted to make sure my group was all together he told me to get out because they were closing. Next time I go downtown and If see him working I'm not going in because I don't want to deal with him and the possibility of being treated like that again.
Sunday night shake n bass is the greatest. I've been coming here almost 4 years and they atmosphere and people are amazing. Be sure you go to jared as your bartender, he is amazing, best bartender I've ever met.
Small, standing room with an upstairs balcony. There's a bar and across from the mid front stage is a long table with a few stools. Sound is decent. Saw SayWeCanFly here with Social Repose.
Backbooth is by far my favorite Orlando venue! First off the stage has no barriers, which is my favorite, it makes the show so much more intimate. The location is nice and small, not too small but the perfect size so even if you're on the balcony or sitting at the bar you can still see really well and be just as present with the crowd. I love the staff, they are very friendly and talkative, but very strict on rules. My only complaint would be that they overcharge for water and don't give any water cups/tap water etc.
Loved watching Thank You Scientist on Tuesday. Great venue for the upfront and personal experience.
Best place named Backbooth in all of Florida. Come for comedy it is one of the best deals in Florida
Stiff drinks, awesome host (Aaron), and now ESCAPE is hosted here?! HELL YEAH!
LET'S GET WEIRD!!!
drinks are fast service was good
Decent concert venue downtown, and a pretty nice club. Sometimes the sleeze gets in though so keep your party close.
Such a fun venue and always has great shows. If you are looking for a clean and fancy venue, this isn't it. This is a hole in the wall kind of place, and perfect for smaller shows.
Great bands are constantly coming through this venue. Drink prices are reasonable for being downtown. I'm always glad to see shows here!
This place might be small but its one of my favorite venues. This place always host amazing shows. Very friendly staff as well
It's old school and it has a personal feel to it. The artist are closer to the crowd. I had a blast their. The sound quality is ok.
Small space, big sound. Always has a great lineup, and it's a staple visit for most of the bands I enjoy.
This place is not for everybody but if you like to get down and dirty with some rachets, SUNDAYS! are the night to come at Shake and Bass! Come down and makeout with some hot hipster girls. Dr. Khan kills it!
If you get beat up at this venue it's cause you fucked up. Show respect, get respect. Been going for years without an issue. Best place for hardcore and punk in central Florida. Bar tenders on point. Security always watching. Never had an issue.
Horrific thugs, NOT A SAFE VENUE! Backbooth supports the people that committed the BRUTAL UNPROVOKED attack that left a man needing facial reconstruction on their doorstep, 8 vs 1. Brass knuckles and all. Some of the perpetrators work there and they all frequent there. The club has been uncooperative in the past in seeking justice for very similar stories.
Let others know this is not a place to go or support. Keep your loved ones far from this place and let the world know to steer clear.
My friend was almost killed at their front door. He is not the first and will not be the last if the hardcore scene and everyone in general maintains a blind eye.
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE! The staff here was either ambivalent or supportive in the brutal unprovoked beating of one of my best friends. I like sketchy venues as much as the next guy but this can happen to you if you go here even once.
In the past week a friend of mine was nearly beaten to death at this venue's front door.
This was an unprovoked and vicious attack on an innocent victim. THIS IS NOT A SAFE VENUE. Employees at this venue turn and even support these attacks. It has been brought to my attention that others have been attacked as well. **Be safe and avoid!**
If your looking for security, you won't find any except a guy at the door outside, and one in the back to block the green room.
Mosh pits break out at the hardcore shows, which gets dangerous given the venue size is very small, and pits take up half or more. Obviously I expect pits to happen, but it should be controlled chaos - not pure chaos.
Smoking is a hit or miss, it depends on band preference it seems. Out of 4 shows I've been to, 2 were smoking.
The venue itself is pretty nasty. It's a dive bar that keeps plunging into filth that would make Robert Irvine vomit. Bathrooms are unusable, I'd go in the 7-Eleven across the street first.
Parking is handy, it has a lot connected to it that's $10. Makes shows safer/easier to get to.
After seeing Icon For Hire there last week, it will likely be my last show there, until they clean up their act. Quality lowers each time, pretty sure it will keep heading downhill until the health department gets around to checking the bar.
The best place to party on a Sunday night in Orlando. Their event is called shake n bass and has a unique crowd with amazing up and coming local DJs!
Cool venue paid (6.00) parking lot right across the street I went to a sold out event and I would suggest dressing light it got super hot.
Never seen a bad show here. Intimate but you have your space.
It's a small venue but they have great alcohol specials & host a plethora of different band genres.
The manager is a theif. They sell any amount of tickets to their shows, they don't care if it's over capacity or if you're looking at a wall and practically standing in the exit because it's so packed.. Anything for a buck. I will never buy tickets or drinks at this mold infested place ever again. Not worth the time. It's ran by a bunch of scum bags.
After 10 minutes of being here I was wondering why my throat was itchy... then I looked up and saw the mold allllllllllllllllllllllll over the vents. yummy. Left 10 minutes into the show because I couldn't breathe and drunks kept knocking into my friends. Security did nothing about it.
I've been trying to get in touch with this venue about booking a concert for over a month. No call backs, no responses to email, nothing. Even asked on Twitter. NOTHING! Is their a buddy system with this place?
Small but great artists come through this place. Get there early to get a decent spot and get ready to be PACKED in. Sound system is pretty good, and the place is so small you can see the bands great from almost anywhere.
I don't know where some of these reviewers' heads are at; you don't go to a back alley club for the security or the cleanliness :D Had a great time, seeing a great show, with a welcoming and open crowd.
Dive bar for live music. Very intimate. A little run down.
Thanks for having APACHE RESISTANCE. Sounds always great atmosphere is always boss af thanks again
Great layout to listen to bands. Compared with other similar locations in Orlando, the floor plan and acoustics are top notch.
Small venue, high price on liquor. If you drink papst blue ribbon you are set. They offer a great 2 can deal.
Super awesome venue with very cool decor. Seems like most bands are having trouble with the sound tech tho.
Anytime there is a hc/rock/metal worth-it venue we will be back! Fantastic atmosphere, different people, super cool moments at the Darkest Hour concert!!!
More actions like this..Absolute lack of great music venues in Florida :(
Great time! Saw Afroman live had a great time. Great priced drinks and vibes. I want to go back to see another performance already.
Great space to hold small events. The TSA artist showcase was held here and it was a good size crowd.
Soundbar wa awesome. Great atmosphere and awesome live music. Will definitely be back.
A little hard to find with the small front, but a good venue once you go inside.
Came up from Miami on the day of the eclipse (8/21/17) to see Plini and David Maxim Micic perform here. LOVED the atmosphere but was definitely a small venue. Still, the location was great and the setting allowed a more intimate performer-crowd relation and that's always good in my books! Can't comment on staff or concession prices as I had no interactions this time around.
I love Backbooth/Soundbar. I appreciate that there's a venue where people can go and relieve some stress while listening to some great music. If you know the artist that you're going to see then you'll know what type of crowd is going to be there. If it's a wild artist, the crowd will be too. Go and have fun, just don't try and cause serious injury! ;)
Now called Sound Bar. No smoking thank goodness. Decent sound system. Very dark inside. But maybe lighting guy was new? Was here for Friday, April 27, 2018 KultureShock. Awesome bartenders and they had El Himadour Tequlia $6 neat. All of the staff were pleasant to us. Thank you. Very clean and restrooms were scrubbed. Dare I say you could eat off the tiled bathroom floor? Even saw a staff member checking in on the restroom cleanliness around midnight. Wow!
Always the cheapest tickets prices for shows, but for good reason. This place is gross, and every show I've seen there sounded terrible compared to every other venue in Orlando. The money you pay to see a show at any other venue is worth it.
Now called soundbar. Its still looks exactly like backbooth just a new name. Went for the mc chris show. Had an awesome time.
Rather small venue for some of the bands I've seen here. Bar is usually on point however it gets tight. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean for this caliber venue
Always a good time here! And i perform there opening up for some Big names! Great atmosphere :)
This place holds a lot of fond memories for me when I lived in Orlando. I've seen tons of great bands here, when it was called Back Booth, including Converge back in the day. It was tightly packed, but that's how you want it to be with a band like Converge.
I highly recommend this place to all hxc kids in the area. You'll have a blast.
Love this place! I know the owner. He knows me and Tori. please keep "Not a phase Wednesdays"
A Nice place to see your favorite band. Drink prices are reasonable to, which always helps!
The acoustics were great. I noticed the wall behind the stage was wooden. I assume that may possibly add to sound clarity and revert. Staff were polite and focused on service. Security was on point keeping the small number of clowns in the pit in check.
Good spot, place could just need more lights/decoration to make it look more alive
Pretty sick and cozy I’d see anyone with musical instruments here wow I’m so high
Ok place Tank head 666 Members Only performed... Cool stuff
Saw the Smoking Popes here. Venue is great!
Cool little venue. Can feel a bit suffocating at times. Sound quality is a bit subpar.
Hands down one of the best live venues in Orlando.
Staff was cool, nice spot, security was respectful and bar tenders were on point. Held a juggalo event, Fresh!
Nice venue. Sound quality nice. Staff was polite and helpful.
I SEE STARS ACOUSTIC SHOW WAS EPIC. Devin Oliver hung out with my 5 year old daughter. Talked to her on stage and everything. Something she will never forget.
I visit here for soccer watch parties and always have a good time.
Great venue. Full bar. Nice staff.
Saw i see stars here with an accoustic set. Even packed the service was fast and friendly. Wondeful atmosphere and very inviting. Highly recommended.
Its not the kind of place I thought I would enjoy, but we really had tons of fun here last Thursday.
Something different that we will definitely consider going to again next time we are in Orlando.
Two different bars at front and back. Plenty of chairs on the patio. No smoking inside. Big 'ol stage with ample space in front of it to thrash. Good for a great evening
First time, very pleased with the size and quality of the venue. Will definitely return!
Been going to this venue since I was a teen, the remodel was such a great idea, it feels a lot more open and spacious.
So much talent had a awsome time meet so many people....
They made the stage bigger. Bathroom is still a health hazard (men's, cannot speak to women's room) decent drink selection and prices. A good place to see your favorite. Bands up close and personal.
They have a great place and great shows. I loved it!!! Definitely will come back and suggest this location to others.
Good for what it is, not very big. Decently known smaller bands play here
Way to small of a venue to allow crowd sufing and a mash pit. Saw ice nine kills and didn't get to enjoy it due to the mash pit and crowd surfing. I realize these concerts have a mash and such but it's way to small of ate a for this.
Great small venue... Even has two bars so you don't have to dig through the crowd to get a drink.
It was great hanging out with a fun group of people and seeing great bands like The Spring. Friendly service as well.
First time attending and it was perfect! The staff is so nice and polite, the music was great, and the high powered fans made it very comfortable. Thank you so much for accommodating myself with my cane. I'm so grateful! I'd definitely return! ☺️
This place is constantly showcasing local bands and it's just a fun time.
Good venue, just a little small, but that makes it intimate. You have to pay for a cup for water, though.
Great drinks, great venue, small but perfect for shows
Gets hot, but has a tight vibe where the crowd is forced near the stage and the overall energy can be very intimate. Great for rock and mosh pits.
Great Staff. cool, nice spot, security was respectful. will definitely be back.
Good Stuff Up Close and Personal
The bands were great, the staff was helpful and friendly and prices were reasonable. But the place is a bit of a dive. It was small and way overcrowded. It was difficult to get to and from the bar. The stage was in an awkward location and they have an I beam in the middle of the stage that I was afraid one of the artists would run into. Go if you really like the band that's playing, otherwise, there are much nicer places to go hang out.
Hands down one of my favorite venues of all time
The greatest venue in Orlando for live music, sports, or just coming to chill. Fantastic staff.
Great place! Visited for a live concert
The bartender lied to me about the price of a cocktail, saying it was $3 less than it was. After I ordered a second, extremely expensive drink, served in a small plastic cup, I took a sip and turned around just to see they threw it away. It was only 10pm and all the lights were on... so what gives?? Amateurs... you can get better service at a UCF bar!!
Nice music, nice atmosphere.
Pretty clean inside, compare to regular clubs.
Seemed to serve regular American food.
