How would you rate Magee Dental?
I felt like I was being scammed. The dentist classified me as having periodontal disease because my gums measured a 4 in a few places. As a result, he refused to do the regular cleaning in the Groupon and said I needed a $819 deep cleaning. I had my teeth checked and cleaned less than 1 year ago with no issues. This dentist said I ground my teeth, needed a deep cleaning, a crown and a few side teeth cavities filled. When I complained they did not refund my money as per the Groupon. Fortunately I called Groupon and they refunded my money. I also filed a formal complaint against the merchant.
Great Service. Wonderful employees. I wish google would let me post pics :/ I've gotten so many compliments on my smile since my last visit. Already excited for my next visit! lol :D
I love Dr. Magee and his stuff! They are Phenomenal! I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. The girls upfront called ever day to check on me. My husband changed his dentist bc of how much they care and are attentive to your needs. I highly recommend this dentist to everyone!!
Whether you are looking for a dentist after a recent move or you have been avoiding
going and getting that tooth that makes you cringe at the thought of eating anything cold.
You know eventually you'll have to find someone, So Dr. Magee is worth your time to check out. Their team of experts will have you laughing at the end of your visit and smiling proudly
again with a beautiful smile to be proud of. I always know they'll make my visit as painless and quick as possible.
Went in for an initial exam, xrays, and cleaning. Didn't get the cleaning. Dentist said deep cleaning is required. Might come back... just a little expensive. This is why people's teeth fall out. No one can afford 1,000 for a deep cleaning. Crazy.
I'm not sure what happened to this dental group. I am in the middle of my Invisalign treatment and was just at the office 6 weeks ago. I was supposed to have an appointment yesterday for my new teeth trays and the office was closed. Gone. No word from anyone to alert me! The staff was always so friendly and supportive. I am sorry if they had financial issues, but could at least let their patients know how to obtain records, right?!
The staff is friendly and it is nice to have something to watch while laying in the chair. I was not prepared for all the work that needs to be done in my mouth but I guess that happens when you haven't seen a dentist in a few years.
*edit* apparently this place is closed now? With no warning or notice. My boyfriend is having some issues with a temp cap they placed and they told him to come in to fix it, he showed up and nobody was there. I'm not sure if this place is a scam or what. But they have been less than amazing since the first day I went, everybody is still friendly but I was harrassed with phone calls to tell me to come in for a procedure I told them I didn't want done. And now they don't even answer their phone!
Beware of the fraud here! I was one of the victims of their deep cleaning scam that you will read about in the other reviews. I paid for a cleaning and they refused to clean my teeth because they said I needed a deep cleaning which they quoted over $1000!! I said if you are not going to clean my teeth, then I would like my money back, and they refused to give me a refund. The worst scam was telling my 15 year old daughter that she needed invisalign to get her ready for her implants and straighten out a crooked tooth and correct a huge overbite. So she wears their invisalign for two years and since they split town and did not tell anyone they moved, we had to go to a new orthodontist. I went to three established professional orthodontists in Oviedo and each one said she needed two years of braces, and that he should have known better to put invisalign on her teeth. Two years of invisalign did not help AT ALL her huge overbite, which traditional braces will fix, and she still has a very crooked tooth the invisalign did not fix, only traditional braces will fix and she cannot move forward with her implants until braces fixes a crooked root that is in the way of where the implant will go, only traditional braces will fix. So now she is getting braces put on at Lawton Orthodontics whom came highly recommended. Since I had paid the bill by Care Credit, I called them and explained what they did, and they refunded the entire amount in full to put towards her braces she is getting on. Dr Magee knows his Care Credit company that he works with refunded our money, but he is a scumbag and is trying to get the money back from us by reporting me to a bill collector, so I have been getting letters from bill collectors who I will call tomorrow to resolve with them. He is very unethical, unprofessional and basically a huge scum bag. He opened up under a new name, Clifford Dental, I am assuming because he has such a bad reputation now under his Magee Dental practice. I think that is pretty sad that you cannot use your own name for your practice because you have earned such a terrible reputation from your clients that you have to create a new name that isn't even your own!! Unbelievable!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! ** I was a nervous wreck when I walked into this office. This is my first real dental experience and the dentist and staff made me feel totally comfortable and relaxed. I will absolutely recommend family and friends to come to this office. 👍👍
If I could do even less than a one star, I definitely would. From my first appointment here, I always loved the staff, but found the dentist himself to be extremely sketchy and untimely. I'd come in for my appointment at say... 3:00, he'd come into my pod of the back office 30 minutes late, inject me with a TON of numbing liquid (one time he stabbed the needle directly into a nerve, and just kept telling me to hold on, even though I was literally crying in so much pain), and then he'd leave me and go back to other patients. By the time he got back, 4:15, all of the numbness had gone away, and I had to get injected once more. Then he got mad at me, because I'd booked the last appointment of the day with a bunch of fillings, and unprofessionally announced, "I want to go home!" I could still handle this place, because the other staff members were nice, and it was affordable for my mom. But the other day, I learned that this place had just packed up, and left. This didn't effect me, but my mom who had wanted to fix her teeth for so long, and finally saved up enough to get invisalign through this company. She went in for her scheduled appointment, this place was gone. They didn't give her any notice, gave her no way to get her records for another dentist to continue her invisalign, and no way to contact them for the money she'd paid for the FULL treatment that was now cut short. Awful awful company, and I hope this scam of a dentist gets his license removed.
SO I BEEN PATIENT OVER TWO YRS WITH THIS DENTIST I RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.I HAD ROUTINE SCHEDULE FOR CLEANING AND SCREENING.FIRST THERE LIKE YOU WANNA DO THE DEEP CLEANING I WAS LIKE YA THEN REALIZED I AM TIGHT ON MONEY.I TOLD THEM I FOLLOW UP JUST WANTED THE BASIC FREE CLEANING THERE AGENCY REFUSED TO TAKE PREVENTIVE MEASURES WHEN I HAVE INSURANCE TO TO BASIC CLEANING. NOT MENTION HIS NEW LOCATION I DROVE AN HR TO SEE HIM. I'M SO UPSET THAT IS MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE AND IMCOMPETENT PRACTICE.
I just had the most thorough dental exam of my life. The office is very clean, everyone is professional. The dental hygienist and Dr. Magee are very informative about everything going on in your mouth and the steps that are needed to get things in order. I am very satisfied with my visit and will be back!
Horrible experience, now a year later getting collections notices. So bad....
