Good good food im loving it
I am from Georgia but everytime I come to Orlando, I go here for my Jamaican food! This is the best Jamaican food I ever had! My favorite is the Curry Chicken, Beef Patties and Coca Bread! Yummmmmy!
I'm living my life as a child of God !I'm a firm believer in Remembering the Sabbath Day and keeping Holy.believe me when I say that there is no better way to live your than to put your trust in the Almighty Creator.God is good All the time God is good and that is his nature.
Very good food! The patties and coco bread are the bomb!
Best Jerk Chicken in town!!
Beef patties and cocoa bread as an appetizer, curry goat, cabbage and dumplings, pineapple soda! Best combination!
Food is always good here
Great customer service!! Had to get a large order of food for the family in a rush, was taken care of immediately and the food was great, everyone was happy 20+ family members!! Definitely recommend this place 😉
Great service great food can't go wrong here
The food was not that tasty and and the food box breaks and make a mess in the bag you car and cloths. I order a large curry goat I got a I got mostly salad with any dressing and there a lot of rice and little goat with patato. It ok if you don't have any where else to go in Florida. The better place in Orlando for you money.
The rice and peas with ox tail gravy is a must. Best beef patty in Orlando!
Love the food! I'm actually planning to order some right now lol
Food is delicious...The cakes r also yummy..u get ur money's worth..maybe I'll get pix of something next wk when I go get a meal
Phone order was ready when I got there just minutes after placing order. Staff was very professional.
Excellent. The best in this area. Love the curry chicken and beef patties. Not the frozen ones you get across the street!
It's OK The food doesn't taste the same all the time is this the Sunshine Bakery at the corner Silver Star and Hiawassee the Jamaican girls that are there very nice
Irie food.. Nice employees ..
Almost as good as my grandma the stew beef is great but too spicy for me
Nice, friendly people who take care to see that you are well fed! The jerk chicken and the beef patties are great, of course. Surprise yourself and try the curry goat!
Best Jamaican patties in Orlando. Love the jerk, ox tail and curry.
The best fresh-baked Jamaican patties in town!
Tasty guanity good. No dark meat available. Lost a customer due to the fact tjey gave 1 chopped up jerk leg instead of brown stew chix. Was thrown straigjt away once home. Wont go back. Know Peter very well. Patty s are great. Ms. BJ
The oxtail was great.... definitely would recommend this place to anyone....
The oxtail is very good. I buy it everytime I go there. The staff is also very friendly. I would have given them a five but the front area needs to be more cleaner. Other than that the food is VERY good
This place has been in the same spot for well over 15 years. Best Caribbean food at the price.
Need to take more pride in cooking the food and need more seasoning, lack presentation
The food is so good. There soup is everything
Give them a try you'll not regret it
Some of the best foods made here in Orlando. I always go for there red peas soup
Very good food, I especially enjoyed the coconut shrimp. Be aware the the cow foot is only available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The stew beef is only available Thursday, Saturday, and Tuesday. The stew peas are only available on Fridays. The soup is also really good!
This is a small mom and pop operation good food fair price
Authentic Jamaican food, good portions and great customer service
great food but no sign showing the location almost thought they were out of business
Absolutely horrible. For the price u pay the meat is very small. The jerk chicken was ok, the rice was mediocre. The drinks were different and good. The baked food was decent. But the meat is mostly bone a d small. Not worth the price. Also the plantains are super small. Not worth it. Mind you the pavement is horrible for driving through.
Went in to order. Stood in a slow line. The cashier let's another woman edge in front of me. Then starts chatting while ringing her things. I said can I place an order. I find if I have to get snappish I don't spend my money. I walked out and went to Negrils. Business as usual in the hood.
Good food. They serve all people of color with respect and a smile.
The service here is adequate, the food here varies it can be hit-or-miss depending on what you get ex. Brown stew chicken, curry goat, oxtail. Also quite often they run out of menu items. They need to work on consistency.
Food was fresh and tasty...Staff was very friendly and polite.
I must retract my previous comment. The customer service was great today. The portions were up to par and all expectant side items were avaliable. Great job on providing patrons with the assurances of great customer service and delicious food that is well worth the money.
"The cashier was a little slow with orders, but gave okay service. The food is great, but they are always running out of something. I went in on Father's Day and they ran out of cabbage again! If you know there is a holiday, why is there not enough food to compensate for what should have been an expectant large crowd. I would just put this on the holiday, but I went there about a month ago on Sunday and they were out of cabbage then too. If the supply could met the demand of the customers, the food would compensate for the 10-15 minute wait".
So far everything I've eaten here has been satisfactory! Love the service and the employees as well. Thank you sunshine bakery ✌ #Greatjob
A wonderful authentic Jamaican restaurant. Take out, if you will like to sit there are two other restaurants.
Food is great and the amount that you get for the price is reasonable.
Love All the Upgrades to the store Guess that's why prices when up Been eating here sense I was in HS and food still Great!
Yeah, I love Jamaican food. I have my little joints that I hit, but a friend edged me on and said this was pretty good. So, I swung in one early Saturday and picked up some jerk chicken. So, the customer service was so-so. I tried to make small talk with the cashier and I mean if she looked any harder her face would’ve cracked. I mean, it’s hard to say what’s on people’s mind, but damn. Just not impressed with the front end service.
Food was ok! I mean it appeared to be fresh. I know there is a post about the rice not being fresh. Anyhow, I thought the chicken lacked spices that use too. The location regarding cleanliness was suspect. So, I don’t think I’ll be back.
Minus a star for lack of front end customer service skills.
Minus a star for cleanliness (suspect).
I have been here numerous times and sub par service is provided but on 7/27/18 around 10:45am I went to the one on Silver star and ordered express curry chicken with Rice and peas. The lady went in the back to eat them came back and took my order. Before I ate it I noticed a smell (I have a moms nose) It smelled of rice that was going bad. The Rice and peas was slimy and it smelled. I will NEVER stop at this location again. They serve day old rice that has been out all day and night DISGUSTING. Peter you need to get your people together. Just nasty, such a waste of my money. NEVER AGAIN
Food is excellent but I had to wait 2 hours for food that pre-order. Not cool
Food good but still had to wait a while when preordered over the phone.
Cakes are AMAZING. OXTAIL IS wonderful also.
This Jamaican restaurant has the best customer service of any Jamaican restaurant in Orlando. It’s welcoming to actually be greeted by the people whom works there. And they’re Fish... omg!!! Amazing!
Great service. Food is tasty. Menu is spot on
The best of the best when you want any kind of Caribbean food try them out you'll love it
Very good place, nice food, good prices and portions
Haven’t been here in years, but had the Jerk chicken with rice and peas with oxtail sauce and my goodness it was really good! I’ll start coming back now!
Love the curry chicken. The location is a little
shady. Yet it is a good take out restaurant.
Best beef patties in Orlando. Not like that fake stuff they sell across the street. This is the real deal.
The lady who was at the register had a not so pleasant attitude. The food was good but the sorrel drink i got was too rich needed to add some more water to it.
$11.56 for a small plate of curry goat rice and peas not to mention I only had literally four pieces of goat the rest was bones and to be honest I'm not too crazy for the taste of their curry goat. But their line was long so I'm quite sure they cook something in there that's very good at people go there but the goat is just not one of them and if I did go back I definitely would not order curry goat and I would make sure that they're actually giving me meat and not just bones
Absolutely love this place. Nice people buy from there and nice people work there. Food is fantastic, huge drink selection, they sell bread as well, and have a nice dessert selection as well. My favorite is the curry shrimp and curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, a mild beef patty, and cream soda.
Food is great! Came out in a timely manner, meals come with cabbage which is a plus for me, they have porridge and soup which vary depending on the day!! I recommend this place to all my island people and Americans alike !
I went their tonight to get some Oxtails and rice. The place was crowded which was good but the service was poor. They would take your order but they're not friendly while taking the order. They messed up my order, I had to wait a little longer and they thought nothing of trying to accommodate me by saying I'm sorry or here's a piece of cake or anything. Once I got home to eat the oxtails some of them were hard as a rock😲. I was sad and hungry. I won't be visiting their restaurant ever again!!
This is not a food post but a customer service post. There is a young lady who works there by the name Melissa. I believe that’s the name she gave when I asked her. I just have to commend her on her customer service. On two occasions when I have been there the 1st occasion was a packed busy chaotic Wednesday night everyone was furious about their orders being wrong, people were loud cursing at the cashier, being rude about their orders. To my understanding there was a new server that night who was working alone she was the culprit for the angry mob creating wrong orders but this cashier being at the front had to take their wrath. I salute her as she held her composure and at no point she spoke out of character or disrespected any customer. She tried her best to explain the new server situation some understood some weren’t having it but there were several cases I thought she would have lashed out at rude customers who deserves it but damn she was calm and collected. I must commend her as it’s rare you find persons who can keep calm during frustrating situations. Hell I know I can’t and I would have verbally attacked many of those customers already.
On another occasion a Sunday evening a homeless man came into the store harassing the customers including my husband. Nothing worse than being harassed by a homeless smelly person while waiting on food but Melissa she stepped in and stopped it. What awed me was she was stern to the point and respectful at the same time. I have been visiting Caribbean sunshine both locations for years and I have seen ways other cashiers speak to homeless people to leave the store but the way this young lady did it was to the point and respectful. Even the homeless man replied to her in a respectful manner and left right away. My husband high 5 her for having his back & we had to tip her just for that attitude. Keep it up young lady. 10 stars for you.
Coming from a Caribbean family I don't trust any other restaurant's with making food that brings back memories of my childhood than this place. I mean they know what they're doing because we'll they are actually from the Caribbean. No imitation here just good old home cooking.
I go to Caribbean Sunshine Bakery all the time over the many years since they've been here in Orlando , Pine Hills area, the first Caribbean restaurants for many years now. Big Ups! Fine food!
Food is over priced for smaller portions than most Caribbean restaurant... Good was not hot ... Cashier seemed annoyed but for first time customer you want to know what you're eating
Just moved here a few months ago. I have yet to be disappointed by their food. The cakes, are sooooo good my favorite is the red velvet.read this and 19 more
