How would you rate B.B. King's Blues Club?
Dancing, dining, drinking and live music!
In town for a conference and a vendor invited me out to the B.B King's Blues club in Orlando Pointe. I've seen B.B. King perform live and loved him, but I'm not a big blues fan. They have a great house band that was playing some slow bluesy type music. It was nice an mellow. I thought this will be a nice night.
Although the vendor had reserved and area for ssome conference attendees I'll have to say the food was top notch. I had a cold beer, pulled pork, delicious, and there were chips, melted cheese an a great cut of perfectly prepared roast.
What I didn't expect was for the band to start playing all types of music. Some Jackson 5, Ojays, Marvin Gaye, a little rock and etc. They also played some line dance songs like the Cupid Shuffle. The dance floor was packed and everyone was dancing and having a great time. Except those people on their cell phones. What?
This was the most fun I've had in this area in a long time. I will definitely be back to visit when I'm in this area. It was the highlight of my conference evening activities. And this was on a Tuesday night. I don't know if Tuesday's are always so entertaining, but this night was. Maybe because the conference was being held this week.
I took my parents here for their 33rd anniversary/ my dad's birthday and we loved it! The live band plus all the old school music we love. Placed a reservation before hand so we got a good seat. The food and drinks were great as well. Highly recommend.
My wife and I decided to have Valentine's Day dinner at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Point Orlando. We were told when we made the reservation, the BB King all star band would be playing that evening. We showed up early for our reservation, and decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. The band was lame, it was some old guy playing jazz music, he thought giving the crowd a history lesson on his b3 organ would be entertaining. It was like listening to easy listening radio. Not sure why we had to wait to get sat when most of the tables were empty. We ordered drinks off their menu, but they had no glassware to take home like their menu said. We ordered the servers 2 suggestions, the shrimp and grits, and the chicken fried chicken. We waited an hour and 5 minutes for our dinner. Once the dinner got to the table, it was like warm at best. We asked to speak to a manager , and one never came out. The main act was not the all star band like we had hoped, they had another 3 piece band that was almost as boring as the opener. We were sat at a table that was literally slanted, I had to grab napkins off the bar to level it out. The bathrooms were disgusting, and to put the icing on the cake, this place is one of the few in pointe Orlando that doesn't validate parking. So you're looking at I drive traffic to get there, you gotta walk from a parking garage to the venue, pay $10 to get in, only to be "entertained " by a boring mediocre band. The band seemed more of a distraction to curve how long the food took to come out of the kitchen. We would've had no problem for the amount of time it took for our dinner to be delivered to our table, if it would've been good, but instead it was Luke warm and bland. Do not spend your money at this place, there's no manager to be found, the food sucks, and the bands aren't worth going to see. So disappointed, we sent an email to the owner and got no answer. THey seem to not like repeat business.
Staff so-so, not bad, but not great either. Got the sampler and food was Great, had to sit a bar cause apparently all the tables were reserved, but when we left still had about 10 tables with Noone in them, hmmmm. Watched first act and music was ok. All in all a good night out, just not great.
We went to BB Kings Saturday night, February 13th, after waiting in line to pay a $10 cover charge, we went to one of the bars to order a round of drinks while we waited for our table. We were skipped at the large bar by a male blonde bartender, and a large bearded bartender, they preceeded to serve a band member before us. Once we were sat at the table facing the stage, we saw the same guy sitting at the center table next to ours. Once the BB King All Star band took the stage, we saw this guy was the male singer of the band. It felt like it was his first day being on a stage. He did not know the words to the songs, he rapped half the time, at a few points of the night, this clown sang from the table while he ate. Even the band looked at him like an idiot. We could not hear ourselves the entire time we were there, way too loud. The rest of the band seemed to not enjoy his presence either.
$10 to get in
$10 to park
Menu is outdated. They advertise souvenir glassware to take home, but don't have any of it.
The same singer purposely called to the stage random women to dance on stage to brick house. Booty dancing on stage, and rap singing was not what I expected out of this place. Raunchy and no class.
Our dinner arrived and we had no silverware. They had to look throughout the venue for 6 sets of silverware for us. A couple were taken from a table.
Bathrooms were disgusting.
Nothing about this place is worth spending money on. We heard 2 blues songs the hour and a half we were there before we gave up and left.
First Time going to BB Kings and I could not have chosen a better night to attend. Kris Thomas performed and it was the perfect atmosphere for lovers and single's. By the way our waitress was fabulous! Another bonus was my reservation for a table. The place was hella busy. But we were seated within 30 minutes. I recommend others to go. For me it was to celebrate my 21st Birthday. This was my first time going but will not be my last!
I have been to B.B. King's in the past with great experiences. One time before in Nashville, Tn and another time at the same B.B. King's in Orlando. I was looking forward to another great experience.
I was in Orlando for a short weekend for a business conference and was looking for something fun for my husband and I to do after the day session. I booked my reservation online through Open Table. there was a band playing from 5:30-8:30 and then again at 9 pm per the posted calendar on the website. I placed our reservation for 7:30 pm to maximize our music experience. the staff from B.B. King's called me that day at 12:30 pm to confirm my reservation.
We arrived at 7:25 pm and were greeted at the first " guard stop" with a request for a $20 cover fee. I was surprised as this was not mentioned on the website or with my reservation. When I questioned what this was for we were told it was a cover for the band. I asked if any of this was going towards our meal as this is why we had reservations and we were told " no". The couple in front of us left when they were told they would have a $20 cover. We got to the second " guard stop" and they took our name. I looked around from there and the place was dead. I am talking about 20-30 people in the entire place on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm. So, guess we didn't need the reservations at all.
The band was just getting ready to take a break. We were disappointed since we just got there but understood that they probably needed it. We received waters within 5 min. It took about another 10 minutes for our server to arrive and take a drink order. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and my husband a Yuenling. Those drinks came in about 5 min. they were really good. the beer was nice and cold and the Long Island really good. not too strong but very smooth. We ordered our food about 10 min after that and the band started to play again. They were awesome! Very great drummer! I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and my husband ordered ribs. It took about 40 minutes to get our food. Mine has set under a heat lamp ( you could tell) . There was hardly any sauce- it had been dried out. It was a spicy dish- I love spicy and ordered it because of that. But, this was over the top. No flavor to the dish because the sauce had dried up and made the spicy flavor more intense. The chicken and pasta were also dried up. I ate 4 bites and then just ate the garlic bread which was cold. We were never asked how our meals were. Our server did not come back until my husband was completely finished with his meal. His ribs were very good as well as his side dishes. The band stopped playing before we left and we didn't stay around to see the next band as the place was dead. I forgot to mention that as we were eating, I felt something lick my leg. I looked down and there was a dog running around! Some lady brought her dog in a purse and it apparently escaped! It took the staff a while to figure that out and tell her she couldn't have the dog running around. So , after all was said and done it was close to $100 night. Could have stayed at the Marriott resort and had a batter experience, I am sure. I doubt I would visit again to the Orlando location.
What a weird night! Paid a cover. Fine. Band was good. Half way through getting some food, and the band still having another set, the waitress does little short of pushing us out the door! I saw one guy they literally carried his check out to the dance floor for him to sign it! Listen BB King - We all paid covers tonight to get in. If you don't want to be working please provide a disclaimer at the door so we can choose somewhere else to spend our money!
Stopped by when visiting Orlando because it was open at lunchtime. Place was dark and not very inviting. Almost left, but decided to stick it out as the family was hungry and there was great music playing. I am so glad we decided to stay as the food was the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.
Good fun good music and good people. There was seemed to be confusion among the staff throughout the night. First the seating, then happy hour. The shrimp and grits had been set under a heat lamp for awhile and were crusty. The server was nice and took it off the bill. The real kicker for me is they no longer give out any glassware ie cups or shot glasses even tho the menu still says they do. Make sure you pay the refill price for any of those mixed drinks.
The Band was Amazing!....I loved it!....the food and drink service was good. Very nice grown ambience with a bluesy and laid back feel just my type of place but THE BAND-omg!
Live music was great, food was good. Prices were a little expensive, however. Their draft, the red ale was good too.
This place was amazing! Delicious southern food (try the breaded shrimp and catfish combo!) ..and a fantastic music scene that feeds the soul! Will be back next time I'm in Orlando, for sure!
Great music, mediocre food, unethical customer service.
The menu prices didn't match our bill at the end of the evening. I brought it to the attention of the manager who claimed, "We have a new menu coming". So what does that have to do with this problem ?
He took the receipt away and came back in 5 minutes stating, "I'll buy you guys a round of drinks, OK?" Yes, thanks, but that doesn't solve the problem of wrongly billing your customers. He explained that almost everyone that visits BB King Blues Club is a tourist and doesn't scrutinize their bill. His defense was, "It's only off by less than a dollar".
Buyer beware - this place is unethical and illegal. We will not return, neither should you.
B.B. King's Blues Club & Dining is an awesome place for dinner & entertainment. We had a great time there. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was awesome & the live band was great. We had a choice of B.B. King or Forrest Gump seafood & I am glad we chose B.B. King. We will visit this restaurant again while visiting Orlando.
Good food and good music. That mac and cheese was phenomenal and I ate every bite of my food. I would have loved this dining experience with another waitress.
Went for my birthday on December 10th for my 40th Birthday with friends and family...It was my first time going to BB Kings. We had so much fun!!! We were taken care of very well from the manager to the waiter. The Band and DJ was great. Couldnt have asked for a better time. We loved it!!!
This place has changed a lot!!! Less food, no band after 10, kitchen closes early. This place use to be packed on a Friday and Saturday now it's dead. They should really go back to how things were a year ago. PS.... Pedro was a great server!
Good music and vibes. Be really to shell out though. Just like all places on I drive
The drinks weren't the greatest, but the live band was so good it didn't matter. The house band has a TON of energy and does a great job entertaining. I will be back.
Did not honor online reservation on New Year's Eve and thus ruined our plans. Waitress blamed us for "booking on website" with no apology.
What experience? Pointe Orlando has a ways to go. We recently visited (1/17) and had plans to dine and enjoy music at bbkings. We were not allowed on the 2nd floor for any venues. Very disappointing when you come a distance and nothing is posted on website regarding closure after 9pm.
Great music, but fyi the band plays 7pm-10pm, not 9pm-1am as in the past. Call ahead to ask band times.
We were there for a company outing on 3/3 and it was awesome. The BB King band was amazing, everyone loved it and had an amazing time. We would definitely come back again.
Love this place love the food I love the music our waitress was very nice she was working her butt off but the next day BB King took out an extra $68 out of my account I did not sign for that that is only reason why I don't like this place no one would talk to me I called 4 times nobody never got back to me to find out why I was overcharged. So everyone make sure you check your account the next day
We celebrated my daughters' Sweet 16 at BB Kings Saturday night. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfection. I can't say enough about how entertaining the live band was! Everyone was very attentive to our needs and made us feel comfortable and satisfied. Kudos to the management team whom continuously checked on us throughout the night. My daughter, friends and family had the absolute best night and memories to last a lifetime. Thank you to all that made it happen!
We just had a fantastic night here listening to the Superstars. What a great band! I took a class in college about the Jazz influence in American culture. Everything I learned there was set on display here. The crowd was lively and we didn't feel rushed to leave. I would recommend this club to anyone open to new and exciting experiences! The food was fantastic and well portioned. I ate the shrimp and grits. Wow wow wow! We will be back for more Jazz night in America!
I had a wonderful time with the family! We dance the night away. Great music ,great food, and lovely service!
Great music, but terrible service. We ordered and waited nearly an hour and a half for our food. When we asked our waiter how much longer it would be, he didnt even know we didnt have. The entire rest of our party had eaten and cut the birthday cake and we were still waiting on appitizers. The table next to us - a party of like 15 - came in about 30mins after we ordered and got their food before us. The manager finally came out and spoke to us only after having to ask for him twice. When he showed up he had an attitude. When we asked if our meal would be comped, he replied with, "maybe." About 5 minutes later, he returned with our food, put in on the table and walked away. He had forgotten our fries and as my gf tried to get his attention, he ignored us and kept walking. Our waiter came back a couples minutes later and we told him we never got our fries, he said he would come back with them, but never did. He brought the check instead. They comped the meal, but not the drink, which was fair, but forsed us to pay an 18% gratuity.
It was a waste of money, and we were so annoyed that we couldnt even enjoy ourselves.
I had a really weird experience there last week. My boyfriend and I went there last Friday to listen to music and to get a couple drinks. We had just got done dancing and we were very hot so we kinda plopped down on the couch, leaned back and both closed our eyes and were laughing. I think the bartender thought we were drunk and very nicely insisted on getting us some water. After she brought us some water she said there was a room with a fan and we could go sit back there and cool off. We gladly went. The room was on the second floor, off to the right. No one was in the room except for us (on a Friday night?).She then starts talking about how this was the VIP room and it's a side thing her and another girl have going on. It's got curtains and so it's "anything goes" and said we could go sit on the couches. After she left we just laughed it off. Soon after another bartender walks in and talks about the room, and again, how it is "anything goes", we joke with her and she said she has walked in on some "funny stuff" but she "pretends not to look". We humor her and laugh it off. Soon the other girl comes back and is again talking about how there are "no restrictions"....at this point I am feeling like they are encouraging us to act on this "anything goes" thing. When she left that time she shut the curtain. My boyfriend and I sat on the ottoman for about 20 minutes, only talking. After 20 min or so, one employee rushes in, points back at a camera (which It only looked like a light) and says "I know what you guys were doing from the camera, and you need to leave" I was shocked. I told him that we didn't do anything and he said "I know, but my manager and I were in the office watching you guys, and you need to go". My boyfriend said that the bartender said he could be back here and he said that she is new. I don't know what their intentions were, but I feel like we were being setup for something, just not exactly sure what. We left feeling very uncomfortable.
Made reservations for 6:45 the calendar said the BB Kings All Star Band would be on at 7:00. Arrived at 6:30, Paid the $10.00 per person cover charge. There was a opening act on stage when we were seated. I Asked the server if there was another band and she said yes at 7:30. I was doubtful so I asked the sound guys they said yes BB Kings All Star Band at 9:00 Pm! Manger did return the cover charge, we ate and left. Very disappointed. I am a Blues Guitar player myself and was very much looking forward to the All Star band. The first act was mediocre at best (not worth a $10.00 a piece cover charge on top of a over priced meal )and the food was OK not great. Can not recommend it, wish I could.
The live music was superb. The dinner was cooked to perfection. Service was good. The was also right. Good evening dining here.
The music was fantastic, I've never seen musicians so talented but the service and food was the opposite. Our server may have been the most un-helpful person I've ever met. I couldn't even get a water for 25 minutes after asking him twice. Was unable to get a refill on my water the entire time I was there. And it wasn't just us, the server had two other tables who were also visibly annoyed and bothered by it (the place wasn't even busy) After being charged a $5 cover charge and having 18% gratuity automatically added on we expected some form or decency. Needless to say this place is a definite tourist trap and not even a good one. But let me reiterate, the music was fantastic
Me and my girlfriend just got engaged at BB King's on July 1st, 2017, the staff went above and beyond to make this a very special experience, and a night that we will always be able to remember. I would like to give a special shout out to Tim Rardon, this guy is amazing , he helped me and my girlfriend's best friend coordinate and execute a perfect proposal. The All Star Band was also equally great for allowing us to have this special night during their set. BB Kings now has two customers for life!!
Fantastic food and service! House band really rocks it. My only complaint is that this is absolutely NOT a blues club. All the songs were old Motown. I was hoping for Muddy Waters and Coltrane, not Michael Jackson and The Temptations. Still a good night but just beware of the misleading genre
Music in this venue is unbelievable well worth the cover charge!
Great night out!
Service leaves something to be desired by staff.. but overall well worth a visit
Took my wife, my mom, and her husband on a Friday night. We have been a few other time and the music is usually good. On this night we were charged 20$ just to get in, they said because of the band. When we got to the hostess she said to sit where ever we wanted, so we found got a drink at the bar and found a table that didn't have a reserved sign on it. After about 5 minutes the hostess came over and said that we couldn't sit there unless we were ordering food, that we had to sit at the bar. The bar only had high wooden uncomfortable chairs. We stayed for a few drinks at the bar because JD was on special and we wanted to hear the band. The band was good as usual but the view from the bar was not good and very uncomfortable. The hostess was rude and they should have told us when we paid the cover charge that we couldn't sit at a table unless we ordered food. Never had to sit at the bar before. Won't be going back any time soon.
Great Music, I celebrated my 68th Birthday!! The food was great! & Jerry was an excellent waiter!!! We will definitely visit again! The shrimp & grits are excellent!
Always an awesome time when I am here. Great food and service, The All-Star Band is always on point until this time. There's one star that is not up to par with the rest. This is the new female lead singer Ariel Teixeira. She's talented but not lead singer talented, as the female lead singers in the past were. As a hype person and backup singer she's great, but not a female lead for this ensemble. This is what keeps it down to four 🌟's.
Food was good, and armosphere awesome. Food portions were not as large as I would have liked them for what we paid. But overall I would come back again with my family. Thr experience is well worth it. Reminds me of Famouse Daves uptown in Minneapolis.
I went here while on vacation with family and my boyfriend and we had an amazing time! We were acknowledged timely and our food was brought out quickly as well. The food was hot, fresh, and seasoned to perfection! The live band tore the house down! Awesome performance!! Our server was funny, attentive, and had personality! I can’t recall his name but he was also a bartender and made me a custom mango drink that made me feel like I was on a tropical island! We will definitely visit this place EVERY time we’re local!
No idea why people like the food. Maybe because drinks are half off and band makes you forget after a few. Portions are extremely small for the price. Even the cups for refillable soda are tiny. I got the brisket sandwich and it was large slices of pure fat on soggy toasted wonder bread. It was absolutely awful. For the price it should have been a half pound of meat not a couple slices of mostly fat. Back in VA Beach we have a diner that for literally the same price will give you a sandwich so big you have to take at least half of it home if not more. This place is not even close. I love brisket, but not thick slices of pure fat. Definitely a food disappointment. If you like a live band and drinking then feel free to go. Oh and why on earth do I need a man to help me wash my hands? I don’t need help going to the head. Get rid of him and hire a better chef.
Great music. Great service. But bathrooms not well kept. There were three napkin dispensers in the lady's room. They were all either out of paper or out of order. Really? You can't get one of them working? I had to dry my hands on my clothes! I love this place, but management gotta get it together!
Unfortunately, I must give this restaurant a low rating. We were seated quickly but the speedy service ended after that point. We waited a long time before anyone even came to our table. After ordering we waited an obscene amount of time before the food was delivered. A table of young men who came in after we did got their orders before we did. Once we got our orders, my food was cold and not well prepared. My mother ordered a four bone slab of ribs but there was no meat on three of the bones! It was quite ridiculous. The manager came over briefly at our request. He ordered another slab for our table. He didn't really seem interested in engaging with us. The second slab was better. I left feeling quite frustrated. We won't be returning. The one star was for the pretty atmosphere.
Outstanding staff. Very friendly clean. Great food. Excellent bar tender. Will com back again and again. Music the best around. Do yourself a flavor, and check it out🇺🇸.
I love this place!!! I had an event for 30 people over there and it was great! The staff was very helpful, the food was VERY good (and so affordable), music was amazing. The event was a huge success! Will definitely return there again!!
B B Kings was a great place to celebrate my wife’s special birthday! Everything was done with class and my out of town families are making plans to come back! Lisa served a group of 12 like a pro! The live entertainment from the beginning to end was awesome, too include Kris wishing my wife a happy birthday. The gentleman that greeted us was great! He greeted us with a lot of energy and sent out by taking pictures for. Well done B.B. Kings!
If you're ever in Orlando area this place is a most visit. Omg the music is nonstop and the entertainers are the best!!! Food was great except my peach cobbler I didn't care much for but the waitress didn't charge me for it. I love love this place. Go and visit please...
This place is always fun to be in and the food is always on point. I have been here atleast 6 times in 2 years and it never fails to amaze my family and friends. Great choice to be at when you want to chill.
I was willing to overlook the $20 cover charge, the cold food, and the very very long wait for our food to arrive. Even the fact that our drinks were not refilled during our dinner or even after . But what was extremely tacky and very unclassy of this place it's the fact that they serve drinks in plastic cups. How ridiculous is that? After paying all that money your drinks comes in a plastic dollar store cup and a straw. Even the cocktails are in plastic glasses, something I have never seen before. So a group of eight sits down to an almost $500 dinner total, $160 cover charge at a well-known restaurant, amazing band and your drinks comes in a small plastic child sized cup.
If you like real true blues music go early and see the early band play. They play more authentic blues music. Plus they have a happy hour earlier in the day with reasonable prices. Later in the night when the regular band plays be prepared to pay $10 per head admission, more popular/mainstream songs, and expensive drinks. It’s a fun experience to do one time. You can also get a souvenir glass with your drink which I liked.
I totally enjoyed my evening at BB Kings celebrating my sister's birthday and my graduation from Bethune Cookman University, for which we were given a shout-out. The food was delicious, band's were great and their choice of songs had everyone at our table singing along. My only complaint is that I could not drink the water and after scanning the tables of other patrons, they couldn't drink it either. Maybe should think about a water filtration system. I will definitely patronize this establishment again.
The plaza where BB kings is located is great and with lots of other options. We opted for here because of the music and it was toooooooootally worth it! Good food and Amazing music! They charge a $5 cover and really worth it!
Had the best dinner on Monday at B.B. Kings. We shared the following entrees in our party: Born on the Bayou Shrimp & Grits (wow this is one of their signature dishes -my husband said he has now found a shrimp and grits dish that is better than his and he is very picky about his shrimp and grits!), BB’s famous Lip Smacking Ribs (tender baby backs), fried shrimp tacos (great seasoning and sauce with a little bite), pulled pork platter (tender and great sauce), Carolina BBQ salmon and shrimp (moist and flavorful), loaded tater tots, chicken fried chicken with Mac n cheese (tender and tasty), and chocolate cream cheese brownie sundae tower (decadent dessert with chocolate mousse inside and topped with ice cream and chocolate syrup). Chef Paul is awesome and very creative. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Entertainment was also very good. They also have an area upstairs and outside that can be rented out for special events and they cater as well. Will definitely be back!
I love the rules, blues feel that this bar & restaurant give off. And Savannah, the bartender, was so much fun. Her knowledge of drinks accompanied her witty banter effortlessly. Delicious beers and food to match
I visited B.B. King's while in Orlando. The sign on the outside is nostalgic, kinda reminded me of old pictures of juke joints across the south. The inside is much bigger than you'd think from looking just at the outside. There are at least 2 floors with ample seating. The food was pretty good, but the grilled fish with shrimp really stood out. And our entertainment that night was EXCELLENT! If you like the blues and good food, it's definitely worth the trip.
We did a girls night out at this place. We walked in and this short black female whose face was as stoned cold as a freezer told us we had to pay 5 dollars for entertainment fee to get in we arrived around 615pm. She was not friendly or glad to greet us she was not helpful or accommodating, she sat us in a corner on the higher chairs, we asked her for seating on the lower chairs she moved us and that was it. Our server was pleasant offered to give suggestions and if we had any questions she also welcomed us as it was all of out first times there and we were excited about coming there. I am from NewYork and the other 2 ladies i was with were Florida residents.
We ordered drinks i got a Moscato and the other ladies got A tropical drink called the Lucille which was very good. Our food took awhile to come i got the collard greens, the shrimp skillet and the jambalaya without rice, my mom ordered the blackened catfish which the server told us is spicy not one drop of spice in that dish, close to tasteless. Only dish that was worth mentioning was the shrimp and grits. That was tasty. Later we ordered dessert and that was a total disaster as the server brought the wrong ones and the peach cobbler was sour and so wrongly prepared, what a disappointment. The band was so so crowd was not jumping spent 159 $ for nothing special or memorable. Will not be coming back.
I visited B. B. Kings a couple of weeks ago with family and I can't wait to go back again. The food, the service, the location, and the band were phenomenal! I valet parked but there is a parking garage attached to the establishment. There isn't really a bad seat in the house! This place is definitely on my "gotta go again" list.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. Everything was great from start to finish.
Check in, seating on 2 nd floor with great view of band and dance floor, food
( Veg spring rolls , Kajun soup, cheese grits with shrimp) all excellent!
And the server.. Virginia was one of the Best with attention to table. We will be Back soon. Thank you BB Kings for making our night with you a Great Experience.
Wow! This was an interesting place. Paid 5 bucks for live music and it was worth it. They made it more enjoyable! Also our waitress, Priscilla, helped us out a whole bunch! She was great! The food was also quite good. I enjoyed my burger a lot. Averagely priced. Pretty good atmosphere. This one drunk at the bar caused us some issues, but we were fine at the end of the night. Overall a very good place!
Our waiter was the bartender. None of our drinks were made as we requested them. All of our food was made incorrectly. We asked for a manager but, after waiting about 20 min, we just decided to leave. We also had to go pay our individual tabs at the bar because our waiter disappeared on us. Now, this experience REALLY sucked because I had invited my friends from Miami and Atlanta, who had never been, to come out to B. B. King's. It was my best friend's engagement dinner. And unfortunately, you left a bad taste and impression on my friends.
Food is good... entertainment is always on point.. service was great.. only one exception: the collard were too sweet.. other than that great spot for date or hanging with a group of folks... always a good time. Y'all check it out....
We come here once/year for work. Band is on point every time. Food and drinks are delicious, too, but this band...! So great!
The food was delicious and authentic. Jared was our server and he was awesome. I would recommend this place to anybody that enjoys southern style food and live blues bands. We'll definitely be back.
Amazing! The shrimp is awesome. I had a house salad with shrimp and it was amazing. Everyone is super nice! And they have happy hour until 7pm so that's really nice.
I was there as part of a company event, so I'm not sure if the experience is the same all of the time, but this place was fun! Everyone who worked there was really nice, good music, and good drinks. The ladies room was neat and clean. There was space both inside and outside which was very nice. It definitely go again, business or not.
30 years ago I lived in the Fullerton/Lincoln Ave area of Chicago, aka
"Blues Central" area of Chicago where most of the Blues clubs were located. I spent most of my 30's growing up on Chicago Blues, stopping into one of the clubs at least a few times each week for a beer and some music. I had a bit of a flashback recently when the better half and myself stopped into B.B. King's Blues Club.
We were staying at a hotel within walking distance of Pointe Orlando, a restaurant/retail site where the club is located. After dinner at one of the restaurants we walked around the complex where we spotted the club on the second level. It was a Monday, the cover was only $5 and we thought, "What the hell, let's give it a shot". We had a blast. "Beautiful" Bobby Brown from Texas was up on stage, bending the blues out of his strings, singing some great tunes; a few old covers but many his own compositions. I'd say he was close to 70 and reminded me a bit of the great Buddy Guy. We stayed for two sets and the keyboard player hung with us between one of those sets when he realized we weren't just tourists stopping in out of curiosity but true Blues lovers.
The club reminded me so much of the old Blues clubs I hung out in 30 years ago; black walls and ceiling, some decorations and a worn dance floor...but you don't go to a Blues club for the decor...you go for the music. There was a nice crowd that Monday night. I imagine it is packed on the weekends. We totally enjoyed our time there.
Pretty cool bar/restaurant to go hangout and listen to some good blues and jazz. Very interactive and fun band that plays there on the regular. The venue itself is huge and would be great for buyouts. A very fun time overall. We will definitely be returning for the music and experience.
Let's start with the hostess! She may have been new and still needed more training. She was lost at what to do. So we asked if we could get a table. We went and selected our own table. She finally brought over some menus. Next, we ordered our food which was very disappointing. The one good thing I found was the music was tolerable. And to think I was so excited about coming to this place. I LOVE B.B. KING and to know that they are running this place in this way was very disheartening. What a deflating moment!
Really enjoyed our dinner. We had blue cheese burger with hush puppies and blackened chicken salad. Very tasty. My daughter loved the grilled cheese and finished without the usual negotiations. The hush puppies are not as good as the fries. Dinner before a movie but would have loved to see the live entertainment with the stage and bar setup.
For a lover of the blues, this can't be beat. There are lots of restaurants at Pointe Orlando and most of them fine options. But, BB Kings is the only place with great music. We came on a Friday night and they charged an "entertainment" fee of $10. That was unexpected but the BB King All Star band was playing and they are worth it. They play a little too much Motown and "Pop" Blues for my taste. But they sprinkle in enough real soulful blues to get by. The lead guitar player is amazing. Food options are great and drink options all at decent prices.
Love eating here though it can be a bit pricey for the amount of food you receive. For the most part the food hits though I've experienced a few fails. The food is best when it isn't as busy. The band is amazing to listen to, unfortunately the restaurant turns into a club in the evening so the restaurant portion is not available at all times.
A real deal blues place and good food to boot! Our server was Omar. He did a really great job of attending us even though we just ordered beer and a brownie tower he kept our glasses full and did so with a smile. The band played good blues but also surprised me with some rock and roll oldies hits. THANKS OMAR!
Wait for it... We came for Prime rib. We Googled prime rib restaurants in the area and this was the first restaurant that came up with 4 stars. We found...read this and 363 more
