How would you rate JOYRICH DESIGN COMPANY?
I'm not sure why the previous reviews are bad reviews. As a resident of Barcroft Plaza, I have to say I think this is a GREAT complex! the Office staff has always been friendly and courteous with me. They are constantly making improvements to the buildings and to the property and they really take care of the property (the grass is mowed when it gets long, they plant flowers in the spring/summer, they re-built the playground, and have added a grill area). Barcroft Plaza is not some big luxury apartment complex but it is a very nice complex. The apartments are nice, the staff is nice, and the amenities are nice. Hopefully someday they'll put in a gym but that would just be an added benefit.
Very Poor costumer service. parking is horrible. for every guest who plans to stay overnight you have to go to leasing office to get a parking permit though office is close by 6pm, so this means if a friend decides to visit you after 6 pm you can'ts have a guest pass because leasing office is close. This means for every quest you have you need to go and tell the leasing office that "oh i'm having a guest" this is a big violation of resident's privacy. oh did i forget!!! THERE IS NO STREET PARKING. this just makes visiting so hard. Towing starts at 11pm though the parking lot is never never full. NEVER
Very Very Bad neighbors. what kind of apartment can you live there without being able to order items online and have them deliver to your door??? Parcels are being taken from the door. stealing is a big problem this is the only place ive experienced stealing since i started renting in different apartments and the bad thing is that the leasing office does not believe that this is going on. several complaints have been made to them but no memo or any note have been send out to residents regarding this issue. I cannot wait for my lease to expire. Kids here are very noisy.
I wish there was a rating star lower than one.
Horrible parking service, always had problems getting parking passes, rude and unprofessional people at the office. Had no problem with the apartment, but people at leasing office are making it difficult living in this apartment.
Racist and irresponsible ,no snow removal,bad selling,dirty carpet expensive bills,don't move to that plaza
I've been here for six months. It's an adequate complex, and I haven't had any problems with management. Parking is fine, but I agree (with a previous review) that access to guest parking passes should be easier. I believe the complex has been under new management since the worst of these reviews were posted.
The manger of these apartments is dercriminador, accustomed to evict people without reason.
I had just returned from having had several surgery procedures. I am still in a recouperative state and am not going out.

Most of the things are nice here. I have been living here from last 4 years and will probably live 1-2 more year. Parking is good, people are friendly. Let's talk about the things that i don't like about...the rent goes up $50 every year....I think after $ 1400, it should stop going up like that otherwise you have to leave ....They don't allow dog which is fine. But sometime your friends just come to see you for an hour with their dog (you can't say no to your friend who is just coming for few hours .,,you still get notice for that )...The new play park is very good for kids but they don't allow kids to ride their bicycles, play balls. and etc. If you are an adult who likes to exercise outside in the grass , I am not sure you may be seen as a normal (i love to workout in the grass and play with my kids ).....I wouldn't say it is horrible place to live, but it certainly feels like it is not your private property because of all these restriction.....Anyway give it a try ,,,,nice location ..nice parking....quiet environment ..
After 2 years of living in this apartment complex, I have decided to leave. For what it is, it's alright. In my opinion, plenty of parking. Guest passes are limited to 3 days maximum and I believe commercial vehicles are not allowed to park there overnight. When it snows, it takes a while to get plowed and it isn't plowed well. They'll plow maybe enough for 1 car to drive, you have to hope that no one comes from the other side. They do maintain the grounds and keep it in good condition. New playground put in for little kids, but no ball playing allowed in the grass at all. There is a no tolerance policy for this; In the end, evictions have been handed out over this. Kids and teens too old for the playground are left with nothing to do outside of the apartment and get in trouble with the rental office for typical things kids their age do. Families have been kicked out over this situation a few times, I don't believe they needed to be kicked out but that was the final decision the office made. There is a few tables with grills that can get busy during warmer months, so get there early. Pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. No toys allowed in the pool. Rental Office staff is nice, but I'm not sure they provide the best service. Occasionally, I've been given information that is incorrect such as duct cleaning is not the office's responsibility; just use your vacuum. That issue was rectified when I asked the manager for clarification. It took a long time for someone to come and address our issue and I had to e-mail and ask for status updates. Sometimes, issues were forgotten about. It was only a few times though, and after following up they rectified the situation promptly. I ended up deciding to leave when families that have been there longer than people in the office were being told to vacate, a family member of mine was included in that situation. It disrupts the sense of community that has been built between neighbors. Those asked to leave were surprised by notices to vacate and given no reason as to why they were being told to leave. I'd rather leave before getting an unpleasant surprise such as that. Your only contact with the office will be letters left on your front door unless you go to the office. Overall, I can't say they are bad people in the office, but I've had better rental management that was more proactive in showing appreciation for renters and provided better long term solutions.
I have lived In many apartments Including barcroft proper. I have never had a worse rental experience in my life. The maintence crew vandalized my coffee table .. stole my silverware and went through my personal belongings. They loose the rent check so they can charge you more. And the bathroom leaks from the ceiling. Run for your life. I highly recommend the historic barcroft. They were nothing but cool even set my roommate up with a unit close to the street and bus stop for convenience. I highly do not recommend barcroft plaZa to anyone.
I could have gave them minus 5 stars if there was such an option. Terrible company to give your money to. Nubia and Latoya are absolutely incompetent ladies who should have a better attitude towards their customers. Every time I had a question or a problem their answer was "we explained it to you". Rude unprofessionals who never follow up with the issue. Never got my parking pass which I was lawfully entitled to, after months of waiting just gave up, cause they said their superwiser Susan, who was supposed to notify me on my parking issue had a flu. After months of waiting - nothing...Had some issues with another lease holder and left them my address, my phone, my email to contact me in case something went wrong. Called them, left voice mails - nobody ever replied. Then instead of contacting me they just send our info to collection agency to ruin our credits and rental history. So spiteful and unprofessional. Then tried to call and find out about a detailed invoice on where our security deposit went - got yelled at. Then called many times, left voice mails and wrote complaints to Susan - their superwiser - no answer till this day. it is been 4 weeks since i last called - nobody cares! Still have to clue where the security deposit went to, nobody would contact me or give me any info. Do not give your business to Kay Apartment Communities if you want to save you some trouble. Had to move, because couldn't deal anymore with that nightmare. Such a pity, because the location is nice. I wish there were competent people taking care of that location. DO NOT GO THERE!
They require the physical copy of social security card before leasing... to give their cousins a social to work illegally? who knows.. but my experience was! The apartments towards the front are nice for sure. No noise, no matter the floor. Grass is cut and will be cut. Trash is picked up. Towing does its job. Clean, safe place. Family and ethnic oriented if your into that.. the guy with glasses was awesome.. nancy was nice too.. but the rest of the staff just irks people.. just sit there and watch them speak to leasers.
Worst apartment I ever lived in.been there for 1.5 years .when we moved in blindfold were not in good condition.they done some patch works (cell tape) in the vinyl blinds and gas stove burners got rusted and they coated it with normal paints .the paint getting waived off if your cleaning the gas stove . They charged 700 bucks as fine saying the above reason as our fault when we moved out.we lived in two of the places in US for 3 years and when we moved out we didn't even pay a penny as fine .renovation in the apartment are going with this money I think so.children's are not avoided to ride in the cycle or play with ball in the play area or in the apartment premises.the worst place I lived
First, I lived at this place for nearly 5 years. Our old management did a better job than the one right now. The area is nice, but its management is the worst. The people lack professionalism and respect and customer service to its resident. They forgot that they are serving their residents not their corporate people. The manager ( the lady), does not know and organize what she meant through their notices. For instance, we had to renew our lease, but she never clearly explain who and whom should sign it and if everyone has to sign at one time. My whole family can't have a time to be at the office at a time. They close their office at 5 and won't take care of important documents on week ends, as per say their corporate is closed and can't process paper etc.. We've been on a month to month lease for a whole year without a notice from them. What a SHAME and disgrace. Every 12 months, residents should be notified about their lease either to extend it or keep it so is the monthly rent. I DO NOT recommend anyone to live there again, despite this management. This place will rip you off your pockets for the service and customer service they will give you. Lastly, its getting EXPENSIVE year after year so its not worth it.
