How would you rate Crescent Palms Motel?
Worst experience ever!!! There are only 2 cars there. I go to the front desk to check in, I can't even open the doors. All doors are locked. No lights are on inside. They had a paper posted on the doors with securities phone numbers, I call both numbers several times and no answer. I had booked my room through Expedia, and even they couldn't get a hold of them. I was parked in their parking lot for about an hour trying to get a hold of them. It was impossible and I was not able to check in. Either this place is a complete scam or something was very wrong there! Don't go there!
My wife an I were in for a convention and needed a clean safe room to stay in and this place fit the bill. There is no exercise room or pool but for four nights at less than the cost of one night close to the French Quarter it's well worth it. It is 9 minutes from the Convention center and a very easy drive. There is plenty of parking in the French Quarter and this was over Halloween so if you go on an off weekend there should be even more parking. The staff was friendly and the neighborhood is changing but still economically depressed. Still, we never felt threatened by the neighborhood and I'd stay here again if we ever go back.
The room has WiFi and they provided a microwave and mini fridge at our request. There is only one chair in the room and no desk but with laptops and tablets we made due. Really, we spent most of our time at the convention and in the French Quarter so this was just a place to shower and sleep and if your in New Orleans that's what it should be.
At first my boyfriend and I were a little put off by the location, but I never felt unsafe. They have an area in the center of the motel where you can park and the gates lock at night, requiring your room key to enter the gate. The staff was nice, easy to talk to, and helpful in giving us local spots to eat or drink. It's a good place to stay if your main goal for your trip is to hit Bourbon St or sight see and you don't plan to spend much time at the motel.
Not bad at all! Cheap, convenient location. Rooms are relatively new and decent quality. Beds could be a bit bigger. No service, but none expected at that price.
I stayed here for 4 days, and loved it. I will recommend this motel to anyone visiting New Orleans. It was clean and very comfortable. The staff was awesome. I will always stay here whenever I'm in New Orleans.
Call to get the better rate. Expedia was more expensive. They are not open late at night, which I presume keeps out the riffraff. There are people on site which thank God cause i locked myself out. Quiet and chill place. However the person above me on second floor sounds like an elephant. I'm hearing the toilet flush rather clearly. But i really did appreciate being only a 10 minute drive from the attractions at a rate of $77 per night with some descent floor space. My room wasnt quite as pretty as pictured even though i asked for one like it.
100% recommended. That 60's team is just absolutely insane! Very clean very tranquil place and great service. Price affordable and close to EVERYTHING in new orleands.
Great place it is nice and clean! When in New Orleans all you really need is a place to lay your head and take a shower in a clean bathroom. This place is it! Better than any other motel i have ever been too.
It's been about a year since we were there. We are considering staying again this summer. It is a very nice motel. Great price & great staff. No frills But has what you need to make the stay enjoyable. It served as a good nights rest as we were out most of the day.
Older motel, but quiet and well kept. Super friendly manager. Laurels Bakery nearby is great for breakfast. Room is older, but nice. .bathroom floor is probably the most noticeable...that and the old style comforters. But everything is clean and works. Motel feels friendly and safe. Near bus stops.
This hotel was good at first even if it was in a bad area, but the last night we stayed there i heard people talking like at 3 am so i woke up and went to the door to see. Then out of nowhere i felt someone trying to open the door with a key. So i hold the door and one of the guys that works there or might had been the owner opens the door out of nowhere at 3 am and since i was at the door already hes excuse was that my brother had ordered pills for a headache but my brother was in a deep sleep the whole time and then i woke him up and asked him said he didnt ordered anything and the guy knew that he didnt but i felt it was an excuse. Just be careful if you stay there because who opens a guest door randomly at 3 am when everyone is asleep. I would had given it 4 stars if it wasnt for this.
Location terrible. Rooms clean, No coffee in rooms. parking was very bad. air was ok, AC was also ok. no continental breakfast or no breakfast. All in all. We will not stay there is we we return to NO (new orleans) AGAIN.
It was a great experience, quiet, clean, nice. The front desk workers was nice. No bugs, cold a/c. The bathroom was big. The price was low. The neighborhood was quiet. Wouldnt mind coming back
My husband and I travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The price was reasonable, and it was very clean. The customer service was amazing. We Called to say we would be getting there really late and even though the office was closing they still accommodated us and came up with a solution. He doesn't make a full fledged breakfast but he did make coffee and offer us a small muffin and croissant breakfest. We had other plans but we took him up on the coffee. Seriously for the price give it a try.
My Father and I stayed here while visiting New Orleans and it served it's purpose as a place to stay the night before exploring the area. It is simple while giving you a place to shower and sleep. Honestly, who goes to New Orleans to stay inside all day!
Absolutely the cleanest place i have ever stayed, i travel for a living and stay in hotels 85% of the year. A bit overpriced but, squeaky clean, comfy beds, friendly staff! Dated for sure but, these folks take PRIDE in their work!
Great service. The front desk staff was great. I had an early flight and called ahead to see if u could check in early, and they let me. Super kind and gave you tips on where to go. Nice room. Pretty quiet and an 8 dollar uber ride from the french quarter. There's a bus stop a minute away too.
Great people, nice and ultra clean... I'll go in details later in follow up review. But at this time all I can say that i enjoyed.
I enjoyed my stay at the motel. I found the manager, Kendall to be a very kind and helpful man. Sandra and Gail were very sweet and made sure we got clean towels every day even though we had a do not disturb sign on our room all week.
We were in town for the week doing mission work at the Castle Rock Church 3 blocks away, also Urban Impact. We were tired after a long day of construction and cleaning, it was good to get back to a nice clean motel.
If you are at the motel on a Sunday, please check out Castle Rock church!
Not bad. Staff is friendly and facilities are reasonable. Scratchy towels and old furniture lower the rating.
Not a good and safe place to stay at all,Old and not clean rooms, Lights and TV had problems and there was no one in the front desk from 8 PM till 9 or 9:30 Am.I felt very scared and unsafe at nights specially one night I was the only one stayed there. no hotel employee or manager around and no other quest .No coffee or tea in the room or outside of room.Very rude employee who refused to give me her name or her manager's name. There was phone numbers on the lobby's door as after hours contact.I tried to get hold on manager but one number was front desk with the same rude lady and the other number was not a working number.I called 5 times no one answered and mail box was full .I could not leave a message. That place should not be open to public at all and I do not go back there even for free.
Love this place, great people and very accommodating. A 7 dollar uber to french quarter. Have stayed 3 times and will come back.
Great Motel. Huge, Clean Rooms. Very friendly
Clean rooms and very nice service
Other than the fact that they are filming a TV series here and it's kind of chaotic at night, the room is not clean and the beds look like they were made without being washed.
Friendly staff and large rooms. Very clean and within reasonable walking distance to the French Quarter. Pillows and sheets could be a bit more comfortable.
This place can creep u up in the beginning but that would be snap judgement. We stayed here paying quite a bomb as it was a weekend before Mardi gras and weekend of NBA ALL STAR. Its pretty basic motel so keep your expectation low. Staff is helpful too.
We arrived late at night but were greeted by a lovely smiley friendly man who checked us in. Our room was large and clean with fluffy towels. The motel is very clean, quiet and ideally suited to visit the French quarter. Not worth driving when the number 28 bus is right outside the door, runs until 11:45PM and is very very cheap. We will definitely come back to stay.
Absolutely wonderful little old-style motor in that's been lovingly maintained. Rooms are very clean, beds aren't anything special, but very comfortable. The charm of the place, though, is it's greatest asset. Don't be dissuaded by the few "sour grapes" reviews, this is a fantastic place to stay, and a price that's great to be such a short distance from everything!
This is one cool little hotel. The 50s vibe was right up my alley. A few months after we stayed there we found out it was in a movie we were watching. Definitely coming back again. The ladies in the office were extremely nice and suggested some fun places to see.
We stayed there for two evenings. The rooms were serviceable for the price and very clean. The first afternoon however, our key cards no longer worked for the door and they did not provide us with new ones.
Very nice and comfortable room. Its located right near local stores like Family Dollar. Really enjoy staying here. Also located by public transportation
Convenient to bus route. Clean and affordable. Used to prepare for cruise
The front desk is not open 24 hours but we called ahead and the manager, Kendall, made arrangements for us to check in after 11pm. Very quiet, in a quiet semi-residential neighborhood. Not too far from French Quarters, I think we walked it in about an hour with some stops vs a 10 minute Uber. The motel has a terrace and a bar and lots of parking around the perimeter. Also, the motel sign is very easy to see if you're driving by on the street at night.
Great retro motel, really clean with large rooms and friendly staff. Kendell was fantastic and looked after us and kept us safe. Thank you;)
Great price. Great location. And amazing and friendly staff. They even bought my friend a bottle of vodka because it was her birthday weekend!! The area seemed safe even at night. We weren’t nervous at all. The motel office has cameras everywhere so that added to our comfort. The rooftop patio is so relaxing. The room is huge. Bathroom is enormous. Motel bar is very simple but you could have fun in there with the right people. Only a 9 to 11 dollar Uber ride to the French quarter. I will be staying here again.
I've never stayed at a Motel before, and the fact that it was a motel in mid city New Orleans did scare me a bit. Buttt let me tell you when I pulled up to the motel my opinion completely changed! The people that work here are wonderful, and so understanding. They let my keep my car on the side of the motel my last day after I checked out, because I had no where to park at VooDoo Fest. The rooms are nice and clean but they are dated so expect that. I would bring your own blanket. The blankets are dated and not comfortable, the sheets are fine. You get a microwave and refrigerator which is nice. Refrigerator was clean the microwave needed to be more thoroughly cleaned on the inside in my opinion. The neighborhood the motel is in is not scary, my boyfriend walked to the gas station close by with no hesitation. The pictures on here are very accurate. In all this is a wonderful place to stay if you are on a budget, it has a cute 80's vibe and the exterior and interior is kept up very nicely. I definitely would not let the negative reviews stop you from staying here because they almost did for me, and I would have spend way more money on an uber and gas if I would have stayed somewhere further out. I would totally stay here again.
Great place, very clean. Friendly staff. Great price. Good location. Just needs do not disturb sign or something lol
Probably one of the best motels you could ever stay at. The motel itself was pretty old but, it was clean and organized, a big plus in my book. The motel itself had a 1960’s vibe to it. The owners were very welcoming to my husband and our friend during the duration of our stay. Not too far of a drive from downtown. If your looking for something that’s not going to break the bank, I would recommend staying here.
Great staff. Close to all of the attractions. Was located in a rough area but the parking lot is well lit. Rooms were spacious but the walls are thin.
Horrible. 1st I walked into a pee smelling room that was very hard to get rid of the smell. 2nd when I called the front desk I could not get an answer practically every time I tried. I was calling to get a towel first and of course no answer so I see the maintenance guy outside of my room and I asked him for a towel and he rudely responds why didn't I ask the lady at the front desk when I checked in? 3rd they have a bar but the only person you'll ever see on the customer side of the counter is the maintenance guy who is extremely rude and hopefully you won't have to deal with him personally if you stay there. I'm pretty sure he's the ladies at the front desk boyfriend or husband because he would never have a job anywhere else with his people skills. Every outlet for the plugs inside the room was exposed 2 wires because of them being either broken or damaged. The location is also very inconvenient due to there being no stores anywhere close or any restaurants. Be prepared to have to drive to go anywhere because of how scary the neighborhood also is. Just a fair warning because I wish I had a warning before I chose this motel. I understand it's a motel, but I would just like to warn anybody so that hopefully they don't choose this destination because it really ruined my New Orleans vacation as far as being happy with my trip. Good luck to you and your family and safe travels!
Lovely room and incredible staff. They really went above and beyond. 10/10 would stay here again
The property was well lit and easy to spot from the street at night making it almost impossible to miss. There is free parking in on the side, in front of, and inside the gated area of the hotel. There are cameras covering every inch of this property including the street in front of the property. The area seems very safe. It is roughly a 10 minute drive to Bourbon Street and 10 minutes or less to just about every attraction. Check-in was quick and painless. The woman was very pleasant and gave us a quick run down of where everything was around the property and that if we needed anything to just let her know. I didn't go in, but there is a bar, and a rooftop patio area that is very nice on a warm breezy night. All the rooms here have 2 double beds in them, there are no queen or single king room options. The beds are big enough for two people to sleep in though. There are plenty of blankets, and 2 pillows per bed. There was just my girlfriend and I so we only slept in one bed and snagged the 2 pillows from the other bed. The bathroom was a good size with a hairdryer in it and basic toiletries provided. I have nothing negative to say about the stay except that the bed was a little uncomfortable for my taste, but my girlfriend slept great on it with no problem. Also, the pillows were on the flat side. Everything else was perfect.
No complaints at all. I called ahead to confirm and let them know I would be in late and they made sure I was good. Truly a diamond in the rough I will be back. Very affordable and convenient...
This place was great and we had a fantastic stay! If you're looking for the Ritz, you'll be disappointed. But if you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay you've found it! The sisters who run the place and the manager are both beyond friendly and accommodating! You're a quick $10 Uber from the french quarter and a 15 minute or so drive from the beautiful city park. I will definitely stay here any time I'm in the area!
Very simple but the staff is incredibly friendly and they even have a bar within the motel :) I think it could use a little renovation but not to the point where I disliked any part of my stay here :)
Good prices, nice clean rooms, refrigerator and microwave all make this a convenient and economical way to visit the city. Owner is warm, friendly, and accommodating. Ample parking and other amenities. Definitely would recommend to a friend
Very friendly staff and comfortable, basic accommodations. Mini fridge and microwave were a nice plus and the roof deck area was super cute. 4 stars because of location. Otherwise, would have been 5! Great for the price compared to everything else in the area.
I stayed at this motel for the Essence Fest and loved every minute ! I received great service during my entire stay ! Special thanks to Kendall the hotel manager. Words cant even express my sincere appreciation ! This motel is a great choice !
Great Motel! Our room was clean, quiet, we had a refrigerator and microwave. We got in just before 10:00 and the bar was still open where we got a wonderful Vodka Cranberry. Walking distance to a bakery and coffee shop and just a 5 minute drive to more shops and restaurants. We were able to park our car safely in the courtyard where I had access to it for FREE the entire time we stayed. We hung out on their terrace which was clean and everything was freshly painted. The staff was all very friendly and never bothered us. We left a radar detector in the room when we checked out and they had it waiting on us safely at the front desk. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for making our trip easy, safe and extra affordable!!
It served its purpose, very basic room not worth the price though.
I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. The manager Kendall is one of kind. He is really what makes this place work. He makes sure it's a...read this and 28 more
