How would you rate Ashe Cultural Arts Center?
WONDERFUL place to experience African, Carribean, Cuban & local cultures!
Ashé Cultural Arts Center is a most warm and welcoming venue. The Center hosts concerts, theatre, community meetings, weddings, graduations and more. There's a free dance class on Monday and Thursday evenings. Check out the website for events. Many of the events are free.
I really enjoyed see the different artifacts. Very interesting.
I love it
Such a hidden gem! Everyone is so nice & welcoming. A true testament to the vision and heart of the Executive Director and those who she leads. I can't remember all the names of all the wonderful people I met who work there and genuinely exude the spirit of the organization's vision + mission. I truly didn't want to leave.... Will be a go-to stop for culture of the African Diaspora including NOLA & shopping, EVERY time I'm in town.
Ashe' is a mecca of the culture of the Diaspora. The warmth and friendliness of the staff invite you to come home. You may enter as a guest but you leave as Family.
Wonderful warm people cultural beautiful aesthetic must see
I enjoy the diversity of events and commitment to community building. I have been to concerts, plays, dance workshops, and business workshops co-sponsored with Network for Good.

A magnificent collection of Afro-centric Art and people!

Beautiful Place. Fabulous Staff
Beautifully revitalized space! This glass front building definitely brings life back to Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. This space also has beautifully rennovated apartments on top which is a plus as the apartments help to utilize the entire building. There use to be a lot of buildings with nice space at the bottom but the top portion would be in deplorable condition. Not anymore! This space definitely gives back, pays hommage and touches the community.
Love this place. Love the area it's located in. Such a revitalization of a community that was once the Mecca of the lives of the New Orleans Black Community. Ashé fits right in and gives live to the area again.
Lots of events are held here and it's a blessing to the founder Carol Bebelle (love the name & she's such a sweet soul) and the community at large.
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this beautiful center.
Greatly enjoyed, time well spent my family looks forward to upcoming events!😊
Great meeting venue. Newly renovated.
A place where creativity, culture and community is cultivated. I enjoyed writing that sentence. Lol.
Great event center with nice people running it.
Been coming here since I was a toddler and watching it grow is unbelievable
This place is phenomenal! I'm glad that we were invited to attend a spoken word event. The vibe was very positive. The display was intriguing. The people were phenomenal. I even graced the stage and shared one of my pieces for the first time ever. It's a great experience. I was too involved in the atmosphere to even take a lot of pictures. If I find the one that I took, I'll edit this review and post it.
Great place to see "inside" new orleans
There was a function there. It is a very nice venue.
A wonderful place and it keeps getting better. I have been here for many events, free and paid, and have not been disappointed! Dance, movie, art, talks, plays and more.
This is a cultural megacenter for the people of New Orleans. Arts, literature, creativity, education is in high supply at this Mecca of culture and influence. Social understanding of a culture not far from ours comes easy and in great quantity.
Cool place. Home to a lot of pan-African events. Most cities have a place like this that serves as a cultural center, which is important.
