How would you rate Little Haiti Cultural Center?
Third Friday. Big night in little Haiti. 6-10pm
Amazing People. Who Love People With An Open Heart.
Beautiful place, had a concert there, such great people
Worked here befor
Awesome experience of viewing the struggle and resilience of such wonderful people. A tour of Little Haiti is one everyone should take advantage of. There's housed on the grounds magnificent artist's studio. The surroundings includes bookstores, thrift shops and a most holy experience at the Notre Dame church. A pleasant opportunity.
fantastic cultural hub for all!! Great classes and a wonderful second home in a well designed beautiful setting.
This place is really dope! They have events every so often in Little Haiti which is culturally enlightening. This particular day they had Wyclef Jean and many other Haitian bands as well. There was many vendors for you to purchase food t-shirts and many of the items unique to Haiti
It was so beautiful to see the people coming together to preserve their culture in Miami. Very inspiring.
beautiful place! I visited for a poetry event and the exhibits were very nice
Keenly positioned. Nicely lit. Cozzy space for a nice get-together or networking. Friendly staff.
An amazing community with some of the best and dedicated dance instructors.
I was booked to teach a private konpa dance session for a group and really loved the open space of the studio. Very clean and studio with quality speakers to work with.
This is a great place to visit if you are interested in Haitian culture and arts.
I will love to dance for you because your dance team are so Amazing 😘😘😘😍😍🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎈🎈🎈🎆🎆🎄🎄
Good place to visit when you are in Miami. Just a short visit to know other culture.
Love the greenwall. It has unique look.
Gorgeous grounds and pleasant staff on hand. There's always an art exhibit to see and classes to attend. This might be under the radar for some but definitely worth a visit.
Great multi-use space. Multiple rooms and impressive 300 seat auditorium.
Beautiful shopping area. I go every year for "Poetic Akay"
Maybe it was just an off day but nothing was happening and no one interacted with me. Looks like there are lots of special events so maybe those days are better?
The Lil Ayiti Culture Complex, is on the up & coming places to be! At place we're past, present & future come together in the Afrikan spirit of Celebration, for life!
1st time there and truly enjoyed myself. The people were beautfiful, the location it self well kept, the dance class was on point. Love it. I'll make it my duty to return with friends and coworker.
Always good when they have events there. Even with the everyday kids and young adult programs they are awesome. They have another event there on May 11th. It's called "SPICE IT UP!!*" Get your tickets in advance.
It's an anazing place that reminds me of all the fun good times I've had in Haiti
Caribbean Market Place is a good place for vendors and locals to enjoy, visitors are welcome to come in sharing the experience
This place is both magical and informative. It's one of the jewels of Miami. I am planning to return for future events.
Beautiful location. The staff is friendly. The auditorium very well equipped.
Art gallery is well-curated, presenting exhibitions themed with timely and relevant topics. It provides great support and exposure to emerging as well as established artists. The theater is also a good space for performances and often features films by up and coming film makers. The dance studios on the opposite side of the plaza from the gallery are used to offer classes in a variety of genres from Haitian folklore, to African, to hip-hop. There are also yoga, language, art classes/camps, and percussion training on different kinds of drums offered throughout the year. The market place next door also gives makers a chance to exhibit their crafts and small businesses to a broad audience. Great place to visit and keep as a resource. One Friday of the month, an outdoor party called "Sounds of Little Haiti", is dedicated to free live band performances and an opportunity to experience Haitian cuisine.
Lively event location, 3rd Fridays and other cultural events, Center hosts rotating art exhibit from local and internationally established artists. Friendly and clean neighborhood. Close to Sweat Records and Churchill's I'd you need to extend your visit
Great place. Especially on Saturdays when they have their Caribbean Marketplace with local vendors selling amazing food, clothes,& art
If you like art or interested in learning someone else's culture, I would definitely recommend this place. Every last friday of each month they have poetry night where everyone expresses themselves through drums, music, poetry, etc...
Enjoyed walking around the museum and the market. Next trip is Haiti to show the kids the richness of there culture.
Beautiful art gallery, but very cold inside so bring your sweater!
I love this place! I’ve been coming here almost every Saturday and it feels like i’ve taken a short trip to Haiti every time. There is music, great food, books, and many art pieces that remind us how rich the Haitian culture is. Please visit!
Amazing youth community center for the family! The Dream Defenders operate here as well and they bring life and love to this center.
Gathers nice activities, such as library, theater and dancing studios. Batchrooms are clean as well, parking space can run out very quickly so is best to arrive early to any event you wish to attend at this location.
I attended the annual Dance Africa concert the first weekend in August. Dancers. Drummers. All Over Africa fashion exhibit. Loved it all. Check it out next year.
Great cultural market available on Saturdays. Cooking demonstrations, clothing, jewelry, food, scented oils/incense and natural hair care/lotion product booths all featured -- with fair pricing.
Great learning spot. Came a long way from when I used to lived in Miami. Looks nice.
Open to the public, this space offers avenue for emerging artists bith of haitian and other desent as well a private space used for fitness classes, dancing classes, and other community offered organized groups taki g advantage of the modern and renovated facilities.
Very disappointed with the service of Buzz Boxx. Around 5:25 we happened to pass by and the truck was parked there giving free hair cuts. I signed my my daughter name to get an undercut and style. Michael said it was no guarantee that she would get a cut because they finish at 6 PM and he would call me. There was 3 people ahead of us getting simple things. I know this man let a little boy skip my daughter. After waiting almost an hour he told me they were finished and I could come back next week. I spoke to Michael and told him he could have called me and told me she would not be able to get her undercut instead of having me waiting. The only explaination was an apology. No, I will not be returning next week nor will I be supporting this truck. Don't need an handout. I rather take my child to a barber and pay for the service of what I want.
They need to work on studio etiquette and being more professional. We use their dance studios for practice but sometimes we run into having people rudely interrupt our rehearsal process to access the costumes or drums in the closet in the studio or just open the doors just to peak in. Also, we've experienced cases where we would be kicked out of our space because the accidental double bookings the center would do. Also, the floors in the studios don't get cleaned as often as they should which should be every day. I always find myself self sweeping the floor with my body when rolling on the floor to dance and picking up hair and dust...its gross and discusting.
Great place to visit. It has entertainment and various vendors to choose from. Nice Saturday excursion.
What an amazing experience this was! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and has a passion for her city!
Really nice venue! Went there to see a play, there's enough room to host VIP and general admissions pre and post event functions. Parking was also convenient as there were two lots available. The theater I saw the show in is not as big as other venues however this spot is cleaner than a lot of other comparable venues. The size is about as large ss a midsize movie theater. The seats were comfortable, expect to be really close for a sold out show.
Beautiful! I love this place, it is very well taken care of. The dance studio is beautiful. The place is full of culture and is a safe haven for lots of teens in the area. The people are also very nice and inviting
I visited for a cultural event there and I Experienced the Haitian culture from a second hand view. The lively mix of art, the smell of warm spices and the sounds of live drumming made me feel at the doorstep of Haiti. I'm thankful as an American born Haitian I get to experience Haiti in my hometown, Miami, as if i was born there.
It's very cool to learn about all kinds of different cultures and being in love with a girl from Haiti makes it that much more better
Meet different diversity of cultures
You can also purchase hard to find art work and collective pieces.
Its only one a month , every the third Friday they have a live band playing from 7PM until midnight, the food is awesome.
Wonderful talk by curator helen molesworth. Great after party. Wonderful facility in little haiti in what seemed like a lonely area.
