How would you rate Massage Envy?
Take my advice: don't waste your time!
I used the web form to request an appointment. I was very excited to become a member of Massage Envy. Within a couple hours, a receptionist called me back to say that my preferred time was not available — but my alternative time was. No problem! I received the call in the afternoon, so I called back once I had a chance to listen to it. Unfortunately, at that time I was routed to voicemail. No sweat, again — I left a message saying I would be happy to take that appointment. Keep in mind, I called back THE SAME DAY — a few hours later!
Something in the back of my mind told me I better call to confirm my appointment with a live person before I trek out there. So, I called today (the next day) to make sure I was good.
I was surprised to hear that, not only was my appointment not honored (the appointment they offered, mind you) — but there was nothing they could do because they are "booked solid" all weekend. Why nobody bothered to respond to the voicemail I left is beyond me — I guess telepathy is part of their customer service....
I can already tell this is a business that doesn't put the customer first. They think nothing of being unclear and calling you to offer appointments that aren't really available. My solace is that I am glad to see this from the start — and grateful to not start a relationship with a business (a wellness business, no less!) that is likely to be routinely frustrating down the line.
IT SHOULD BE 0 STARS! To promote their business, a member at Massage Envy had persuaded me to sign up for their 'rewards' program which is a massage per month, plus discounts on other services for $59.99 a month. I signed up for this a few months back, but decided recently to cancel because I could no longer commit month to month and my budget was tight. When I asked if it was a contract, the woman claimed that it was month to month and that I could cancel anytime.
I first tried to cancel over the phone, but the associate had informed me that I had to come in person and 'fill out a form.' I then came in person to cancel but the associate then claimed that I initialed a part of the contract (which I did not!) stating in order to cancel I had to either 1) Move more than 25 miles away or 2) Get a doctors note stating I can no longer complete the service. Very unreasonable and unrealistic to cancel a month to month 'rewards program.' When they had presented the contract, it was the first time I had seen this clause, and I DID NOT SIGN, INITIAL OR AGREE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM about this clause. The initials were forged and when I requested to speak with the supervisor on several occasions to get an explanation or to rectify what had happened, the associate had the consistent excuse that the supervisor is 'unavailable and to try another time.'
To prevent them from taking money for services unrendered, I did a stop payment on my account. If this wasn't bad enough, they are now using extortion by threatening to report me to the credit bureaus unless I continue to pay for services I dont want and for a contract I never signed. I am appalled a company would operate like this. I am reporting this so there are no other victims.
Amazing therapist and service from Titus and Peter!!!! My mom loves Kailey (sp) each and every service is performed on time and exceeds our expectations even the friendly welcoming front desk!!!
I always make it a priority to visit this clinic when I am visiting in the area for a massage and facial. The staff are always friendly and courteous. The therapists and estheticians there are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable about their products and they address my personal issues to show me how to improve my skin .Always a great experience!! I would recommend them any day!
I've been having fairly severe muscle pain in my shoulders and neck following a bout with the flu, and decided to try the Massage Envy down the street from my house in Whitefish Bay tonight. I called early this morning to make an appointment and was confirmed for a 6:00 slot this evening. The man I spoke with took a credit card number from me to reserve my spot.
After looking forward to the appointment all day, I arrived at 5:45 as requested. When I checked in, it was clear that there was a problem. After sitting in an uncomfortable chair in front of their freezing picture window for ten minutes with no explanation, the man I'd spoken with earlier in the day finally came out and said he'd forgotten to put me in the system "and actually never realled booked my appointment"! I was then offered an 8:30 appointment but I explained that, because I have an early meeting tomorrow morning that would not work. They then said that I should try a facial, and I said that really wasn't what I wanted; that I'd come in looking for some relief from my back and shoulder pain. They then said, "Oh well you'll get a shoulder and arm massage!" and continued to try and sell me on the facial. I thanked them and again said I was not interested at all in a facial.
As I began to leave, who I believe to be the manager came out and, after I'd made clear I had no interest in a facial, offered me some "very generous" facial product samples! I was given a couple of tiny tubes and a cheap cosmetic bag, then told that I should put the products "on all of my facial lines." No other restitution was offered nor did anyone even attempt to help me schedule a future appointment.
If you want non-existent customer service and a reminder that you're 45 and have facial lines, Massage Envy in Whitefish Bay is the place for you.
This location used to be good but the last year it seems like they just don't care at all.
Yesterday's service was the final straw for me - Came in for a simple relaxing facial, came out with chemical burns to my face due to an untrained new employee. Not her fault for being new, the owner/managements fault for rushing to put people on the floor before they are trained and not telling long standing clients they are being used as a guinea pig.
Do not go to this location - drive north 15 mins to mequon location or south 15 mins to anywhere in Milwaukee to go to another location.

What an AWESOME place!! Friendly knowledgeable staff, a wide variety of beverage options, such a relaxing & clean ambience...my destressing had already begun even before my services!! My massage & facial were just what I needed! I was also able to purchase some AMAZING products I could use at home to give myself a spa treatment daily! I HIGHLY recommend anyone in need of spa services to visit Massage Envy in Whitefish Bay!

I had a relaxation massage and fell asleep several times! Just what the doctor ordered! High class, clean, always pleasant. If you have any issues, they take it seriously and solve. Facials are incredibly the best! Great products for sale as well.
Love it! Titus you rock!!! Highly recommend trying at least once. You'll be hooked too!
I go to Peter for maintenance massages due to a tough workout schedule and he is fantastic. While I don't really go for relaxation (I go for pain relief and relief of extreme muscle tightness), I always leave feeling far more relaxed then I came in. He does excellent work...especially on the neck and other extremities---biceps, forearms, legs, knees...I have been to many other massage therapists and none of them have spent the time on my neck that Peter has.
I really recommend him for mid and deep tissue massages!
Listens to how/what you need in a massage, has packages available to make it affordable.
