The best fancy lunch in DTLA. I will always be here whenever I have occasion to be! Wonderful service, beautifully designed with care. Casual but refined. If you want to have a quiet lunch, to relax and feel like you are somehow in a Brazilian restaurant in Copenhagen, this is it! A+++ every time.
Cute place, tasty food and friendly service. If you like coconut, get the chicken pot pie.
I ordered the appetizer plate, which said it came with quite a bit of food. It on fact did not. The food I did get there was good. Just beware of little servings
This is the best Brazilian restaurant I have ever been in the US. It's a celebration of the regional food of Minas Gerais, my home state. It is authentic, delicious and it brings together traditional Brazilian cuisine and hospitality. Natalia is a terrific chef, host and human being. Go there! Don't forget to eat one (or many) coxinhas.
It's like eating in someone's home in Brazil and having a home cooked meal.
If you look for a real chicken pot pie, these guys have the real deal. Home made fresh every morning. It tastes like HEAVEN. You will remember that delicious food for a really long time!
Staff is friendly and polite. Cool decor!
Had an interesting lunch here with my wife. Never tried this kind of food before where I think was a combination of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisines. I personally quite enjoyed the sandwich, with its warm bread and juicy and tender meat filling inside. Loved the homemade soda pop at the end to washed down all the lingering flavor in my mouth.
A small cozy restaurant with wonderful Brazilian food! Portions are generous, moderate prices. Perfect lunch spot. Tilapia was quite tasty both the plate and the sandwich. Like most small spaces, tables really close together. Don’t go here if you want an intimate conversation. Go for the food and SANGRIA!
What a quaint little restaurant with an eclectic homey vibe! The food was delicious and very fresh tasting. We ordered 4 different entrees and they were all very good and reasonably priced. Coffee and coconut flan was the delicious finishing touch to a great evening.
I cannot praise this place enough! AWESOME food, ambience and service!
Small restaurant with great food and very friendly staff. Food is well seasoned and balanced. Fish was fresh and perfectly cook ed. Unique menu.
Really Brazilian flavor’s food. A little bit to tide for amount of people, but they makes feels smooth and in the end worth the waiting.
The hours of operation is sporadic. There are times when I've gone to the Wood Spoon during business hours, and it was closed.
It's a quaint place. I think the chicken pot pie is supposed to be the rave here, but I haven't tried it yet.
The fish combination was good. The portion size was average. Parking is definitely a challenge. I've always Ubered here.
My favorite restaurant in LA and the best Brazilian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve probably taken over 40 people here now. Need I say more?
Very small dining area, about the size of a living room in a small home. Staff is great food is good.
Great vibe, amazing food, and good service. Everytime I'm in the area I check in here. Sometimes they're packed or not open, but if there is room you gotta stop here.
WoodSpoon is one of Los Angeles’s best hidden gems. From the stylish, simple decor to the incredibly friendly servers - WoodSpoon is fantastic. The food is amazing. Highlights are the pot pie, the cod stew with seafood in coconut broth and the meat grills. And don’t forget the wash it all down with their delicious sangria. I truly love this place.
Such an incredible place to eat! Food is all delicious! Definitely try it.....its our fave
The ambience, the great staff, and the most amazing pot pie ever made this a memorable experience.
INCREDIBLE food. Chicken pot pie and seafood stew. Wine selection was limited, but good. Service was goofy and at times slow, but friendly.
I first went to Wood Spoon 8 years ago (2010!) and met the owner, who was also the cook, waitress and hostess. Yes, sometimes it takes awhile to get the food. Yes, the restaurant can be full. But this is the real deal - she is cooking her mother's recipes from Brazil and cares about each one of her guests. Food is delicious and this remains one of my favorite places of all time, in any city. Need I say more?
We stumbled across this by accident- and are glad we did. We had a pork loin dish and a lamb dish. Both were amazing - and great value
Brazilian food at this spot - yummy. Nice place to think about business. The service here is friendly.
For all the hype, the food was mediocre. I even ordered the special and it felt very safe. I didn't get much flavor from anything I tried. Service was great, I just don't see what the hype is about this place specifically and LA food in general.
I've been a regular here since I started working in downtown. I don't know how authentic the dishes are but it doesn't matter becuase they are so delicious!! Whenever I have friends visit LA this place is the first meal I always treat them with and people love it too! Their seafood dishes are so exceptional and everyone works here are super nice too.
brazilian food and the scene here is great. Food was so delish. I'll return with my relatives. This place has a good atmosphere. Ambience reminds me of San Diego's scene.
A preferred place for tasty Brazilian food. Looking forward to returning with my relatives. The prices are good for what you get.
This is love from the first sight.
Everything made here with love and meticulous attention to details. Your soul and body will be the happiest after the visit.
brazilian food and service here is very good. it's so delicious. i've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back.
Great ambience and delicious food. Recommend the lamb plate and chicken pot pie. Absolutely amazing!
Super friendly staff, awesome food with good vegetarian options. The potato balls are amazing
I've been here twice now and both times were lovely. The service is polite and warm. The decor, plates, napkins, are lovingly curated vintage. I recommend getting two of any of the apps to start, the chicken pot pie as an entree, and the passionfruit dessert.
Great, small restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years, consistently good food, drinks, and service. The mixed plate appetizers, chicken pot pie, and white sangria are my favorites. Highly recommend.
brazilian food and the scene at this location is super good. Arrived at five, it wasn't busy. Definitely worth a return trip. Prices were reasonable. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.
Brazilian food and service here is very good. One of the best spots of its kind in the area. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. Prices are reasonable.
brazilian food... very tasty. Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. There was quick and friendly service. It has a cool feel to it.
My top place for quality Brazilian food. Fast and courteous service. The bill won't break you. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.
Brazilian food and the atmosphere here is very good. It was so tasty. Service treated us so kindly. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.
I almost cried after my first meal here. The feijoada felt like a warm hug from a home I had not yet known. I ended up getting to talk to the owner, because...read this and 1328 more
