Having Dr. Gonzales and his wonderful staff for my choice in dental offices has been the perfect choice. Dr. Gonzales is truly an expert at his craft and has over 30 years to prove it. I am so happy with my dental work. If you are looking for an expert in cosmetic or implant dentistry. I can tell you that he is the best.
I absolutely HATE going to the dentist due to some horrendous dental experiences as a child.
This dental office put all of those events pretty much to rest. Everyone is so kind and attentive! They pay great attention to whatever the issue is and address it completely, offering different diagnoses, treatment options, and always invite me back if ANY issue arises with whatever treatment I've received.
My insurance is no longer acceptable so I'm changing it to be able to stay!
Thank you to the entire dental staff for making dreaded visits basically a piece of cake visit. 😉
Outstanding dentistry! It's refreshing to go to a dentist who is knowledgeable and is very will to share that knowledge as it pertains to his patient! I love the high tech apparatus' and the office and dental assistants are very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend!!
I absolutely loved my experience here! Dr. Gonzales is a miracle worker. Not only is he attentive and understanding, but so is his entire staff. I deeply appreciate the caring nature of Dr. Gonzales! I'm terrified of the dentist but he made it so easy to not worry and keep on coming. So far I've had two wisdom teeth removed and 2 root canals. All with minimal healing time and incredible results. I can't wait to fix the rest of my dental issues with this trusting and wonderful office. Ice already recommended them 100 times over! Thank you all so much!!
Just in the 3.5 mos of being treated by Dr Gonzales, has made such a health improvement! So thankful to one of my best Dr's to refer me.
Best dentist experience I had in a long time. Straight to the point, in and out .
See you in a couple of weeks to get my crowns
Dr. Gonzales is a remarkable dentist who is able to transform even the most unfortunate looking teeth into beautiful smiles. The videos he has running in the waiting area show countless cases of improvements that are so vast they're nearly unbelievable.
While my mouth wasn't a nightmare to begin with, I did have a missing tooth front and center, which caused me a great deal of embarrassment for many years. Not only is the implant he gave me beautiful, but the confidence that he allowed me to have in my smile again is priceless.
Oral surgery is never fun, but every time he has to work on me I feel as though I am receiving the most advanced and professional care there is. The office is pristine and it's filled with the newest and coolest technology around. Even the x-Ray machine will blow your mind. His staff is warm and welcoming and sharp.
Sedation Implant Dentistry is first class and I cannot recommend it more highly!
No waiting, I guess I was there at a good time, just walked in. Very friendly staff, and very efficient. I was there for a cleaning, and was in and out in no time. Plenty of parking in back, and easy access to the freeways.
Great dentist high standards
I came there forth and back from Asia so many times for surgeries and implanting whole 2 jaws. Dr Gonzales is the best doctor I have ever met and his team treated all patients as their beloved ones. A highest place recommended!
Just like the other reviews mentioned, I dread going to the dentist! Dr. Gonzales is an expert when it comes to sedation! The entire office from assistants to front desk are so kind & compassionate. Jerilyn is the sweetest person EVER. Dr. Gonzales is honestly one of the most talented dentist out there. Highly recommend Sedation & Implant Dentistry!
Last Thursday Dr Thomas replaced three of my implants previously implanted incorrectly. I saw the x'ray, and found the quality of his work performed. I highly recommend him for your dental work, excellent work. Ahmad Rafiq
Before going to Sedation Implantation I really
dreaded going to any dentist..My first visit to Sedation I could tell this was going to be different, once Dr.Gonzales talk to me and did my initial pre-op I was more relaxed. Once my
Procedure was com pleated I could not believe
how painless it was...That was 15 years ago .
The staff are amazing , extremely friendly and makes u feel very comfortable . The doctor is very professional and nice as well .
Thank you to Dr. Glass and the entire staff for the work they performed (crown and veneers). I'm very happy with results!
Everyone was so friendly, kind and professional. I never thought I could enjoy a visit to the dentist, but I did!
Dr Gonzales and his staff are the BEST, I highly recommend Sedation and Implant Dentistry in Irvine, Super friendly, Super helpful, they were able to get me in when i had an emergency. I could not be more happy with my choice of Dr. Gonzales.
From when I walked through the door I was greeted nicely from the front desk, felt a good atmosphere.
All the doctors are SO nice and have lots of information. I was able to see the oral surgeon and orthodontist on the same day which was special because I needed some game plan with my jaw problem and was able to meet them and the Cosmeticare doctor the day before.
I’ve been looking for a dentist office that is caring and has a good team - if your looking for that this is the place to go! Thank you for making me feel hope !

The dentists here are great, and do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. If you have anxiety about visiting the dentist, this is a great place to go.
we had a wonderful consultation and looking forward to the next step.
I had a pleasurable experience the doctor seemed very knowledgeable of his craft. The procedure was actually pain free. All the people at sedation dentistry do a great job and make it worry-free.

This place could not be better. The staff is super nice and the dentist is very cool. The pricing is extremely inexpressive for what you get. I will continue to come in. I used to be very scared of the dentist and now I feel so comfortable. They also put you under Iv sedation which makes it so easy. I actually like going to the dentist
They have friendly nurses, lying receptionists, and the unprofessional Dr. Shellain A Del Campo. They overbook patients.
The receptionist lied to me the first week, promising to call to squeeze me in the following Thursday. Come to find out she'd abandoned me til the next month. But i found out and got the appt fixed. Then she lied to my face about the appointment time: 10-30 minutes. It really took 1.5 hours. In fact the Surgeon arrived 15 mins after all 6 of his patients, all scheduled for 8am. the Surgeon told me to use my own established meds but didn't advise me on dosage. The pain was unmanageable all week. Twice before my followup I told the office I had an appointment elsewhere right afterwards and I asked about appt length. The receptionist lied again. 30-45 mins. But I waited 45 mins before I was even taken to a room. Meanwhile: There was an unmasked non-patient chilling in the office. Plus: The staff forgot to check my temp/screen for covid until I said something 20 mins later. I asked when I would be seen, because I was about to miss my next appt. They said "let's see" then sat down 2 feet away & ignored me. After 10 mins I asked again. Eventually I had to reschedule my next Dr appt. I scrambled via phone seeking transportation for it. Meanwhile My transport at the dentist also got wastes because the receptionist kept lying about the appt length. So I explained this to Del Campo who sneered "well I couldn't treat you in the lobby!" How rude, unprofessional, and passive aggressive!!! She then looked at my tooth for 5 secs & assumed I'd been given meds. i hadn't. She went away to read my file (finally) and accused me of lying about the meds. Apparently the surgeon's notes mistakenly mentioned meds (How sloppy) I suggested she ask the surgical nurse who was present. The nurse & surgeon KNOW they didn't give me any Rx because I'm under pain mgmt. Del Campo said she needed to confer with my pain mgmt doctor. (Why didn't the surgeon do that last week?) I spelled Pain Dr's name and # (xxx)333-3333. Del Campo made me stay while she went to place call, unable/unwilling to prescribe meds. So why do I need to stay? The sweet nurse felt bad, comforted me, agreed to send me home, helped me limp bit by bit. When I asked reception re: followup, Reception & Del Campo ignored me. I sat again. 10 minutes later they "discovered" they were speaking to the wrong clinic & wrong Doctor! Del Campo lied that I gave her the wrong number, then stomped off like a teenager! So dramatic, I nearly laughed! What an unprofessional! The nurse was my witness! After I proved the number to reception the TRUTH came out: The Dr & receptionist had used their OWN Office area code instead of the 1 I'd given Del Campo & Nurse. She'd also ignored the 4letter name of my pain Doctor! OH MY GOD!! Why would a dentist ignore 3 easy digits? And Replace them with 3 others? And ignore the easy 4 letter name of the Dr she's calling? It's on the note! She did it to waste my time and inflame my hip pain the longer I sat. How passive aggressive! I turned and limped out. I have no dosage or follow up info. But any dental office anywhere would be SAFER!
I am writing this review for those who thinks this office is for Dr. Thomas Gonzales like me. I tried to make an appointment for my sister and thought that I am making appintoment with Dr. Gonzales. No!!! When I arrived the nurse who was taking X-Rays was keep referring she as a doctor. When we went to exam room, I asked her that aren't we supposed to see Dr. Gonzales? At that momentum a general dentist walked in I am not sure who she was because nobody mentioned the name of the doctor but by looking into the site I think she was Dr. Shellaine Alonsagay Del Campo, and the nurse said " she is very good and Dr. Gonzales is not coming to the office every day but she is here every day. I was surprised because at the time of making appointment I didn't ask for general dentist I had seen general dentist before and needed to be seen by a root canal specialist. Anyway, make the story short the doctor walked out of the exam room and never came back to exam my sister. Instead another nurse, doctor or assistant who never introduced herself walked in with a piece of yellow post it in hand and start talking about another tooth that my sister didn't have any problem with. When I told her that the problem is with another tooth she said " that one has to come out and we are not doing it here". It was very obvious that they wanted us to leave the office ASAP, basically they wanted to get rid of us. The lady with a post it in hand said I refer you to an oral surgeon who does that and instead of referral letter she wrote a doctor's phone number on another piece of post it and hand it over to me.
Very very UNPROFESSIONAL doctor and office. I am so sorry for doctor Gonzales whose name is on the office and this kind of rude and unprofessional doctor runs his office.
I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone. People should treat equally no matter what kind of insurance they have.
Outstanding dental office! I had my first appointment yesterday and was very impressed with the staff and Dentist—-they take their time, explain fully, are helpful and caring! My experience left me with hope for my teeth and TMJ issues.
DON’T come to this office yes it looks nice but they are very unorganized and unprofessional.I went to this office to get my wisdom teeth removed and I was told I had to see the oral surgeon because one tooth is coming out wrong .So one person at the office told me they could sedate you Though IV and some other person said no that the oral surgeon dosn’t do that .Another employe said that I didn’t have to see the oral surgeon that I could just see a regular dentist .It’s ok to not know the answer to something but it’s better to say I will find out then giving patients wrong information I got different Information from at least three different people and it made me think if I really want to get my teeth removed in a place like that so don’t be fooled on the looks of the place .I called again and I tried to give it another shot but the women answering the phone interrupted me and was very rude .I have worked with patients my whole life and I always listen to their concerns if the receptionist thinks she could just disregard you and your concerns they don’t care about the patient .
All i can say, no sympathy.. rough treat! the doctor as if she has no sympathy!!! She did not bother to have a smile or feelings while explaining things to me.. She preferred to extract all my teeth rather than retreat them and save me simply because if suits her greedy needs.. i can see the quality of their service as well from their staff choices.. angry aggressive, i have not heard a please or thank you or even a kind smile while being there , when ever someone wants something they shout out disrespectfully again i did not see any kindness/ sympathy .. and trust me to have compassion from your doctor is half of the treatment you need.. because outwardly, you will feel like a senseless object in their hands they control .!! I definitely felt discriminated by the doctor and the staff..!!
I am very upset and in a lot of pain currently. First, they misrepresent that they are a sedation dentist, they really are not, there is one oral surgeon whom I have seen once, in his office. I think they only use sedation for a select number of patients ($$$) and for implants, which they recommend from the get-go (even though you would think that would be last resort). I thought I was going to see Dr.Gonzales but they gave me another dentist named Dr. Del Campo - but I know dentist offices do that. She has been nice to me and seems to know her stuff.
The only problem I have been having is with staff and disorganization. First, they worked on two teeth I did not want them to, in the beginning. They told me those were the most important, even though I specifically told them the ones I needed - they did the ones they chose anyway, as a result, the tooth I had asked them to work on ended up cracking. There is no or very little follow up, I have to call and call to remind them, and I know on at least one occasion I was told "my crowns were ready" (when they weren't and took 4 more weeks than planned - when they were ready, I only found out because I called to check on them), my procedure was pre authorized (then being told it might not be approved on day of), I have to argue with them when I ask for simple things. If there is a treatment plan that might get partially covered by insurance - why do I have to beg them to submit it? Some things they told me they submitted weeks or months ago, were never submitted at all. I also noticed a drastic difference from when I went from priv insurance and cash pay to denti-cal as I lost my job this year. I'm grateful they accept it, but the priority you get, time to get in, the treatment you'll get, even the techs - have noticeably changed, in my case anyway, this could be coincidental but there was a change from my first visit to my most recent one and not for the better. Maybe they have just gotten more patients.
Current grievance: The dentist leaves temp crowns and crown fittings largely up to the techs there - fair enough, if they are trained and do exactly that.
When I was there last time, the dentist worked on my front tooth as a root canal, and several x-rays have been taken while I've been with them. When the dentist left the room, I thought the assistant would finish the temp crown as the dentist stated. Instead, she insisted on sticking this 3D x-ray machine in my mouth, not even where the affected tooth was (while it was still raw and 'open') - to "get my bite" . She was having problems with the computer and machine (couldn't get a still image) went back and forth touching it, and as she reached her hand into my mouth, I could taste dust/the keyboard on her gloves. After 20 minutes of this, I asked her to just stop, she couldn't get a still image and I told her it wasn't possible in a state that I was in. The staff then got angry and argued with me that "if the crown gets screwed up it's not their fault" - um, I was there for one root canal, one crown, and they have several x-rays including 3D ones - even from that day. Why did she have to take it while I'm in pain from my front tooth being worked on, and not only that, but NOW I have infection in the back teeth and front one where she was touching and sticking the 3D x-ray tool/gloves - and am currently in extreme pain, I am worried what happened. My whole mouth shouldn't be hurting 3 days after a dentist appointment.
I am really disappointed because I have so many problems with my teeth, thought I found a good dentist, and really just need this work done, and it could solve a lot of my pain, and it's all held up by organization / lack of protocol, and if I get an infection when I get work done, this work will take forever. As a sedation dentistry place, they should be aware of the patients who may really need it, who are suffering and suffer every time they go to a dentist. I think somewhere that's gotten lost, and I hope by writing this, maybe it can help them remember it and future patients navigate.
I went in this past June for wisdom teeth removal and they said they would give me claim to my insurance right away which would take 4-8 weeks. After the 9th week I called met insurance and they said they never received a claim from them. This office never got back to me. I went to another place in Anaheim and they were so much quicker and helped me with my pain. Don’t come here.
I posted an earlier review criticizing them, I did try to give them a fair shake - instead of addressing my concerns, their office manager pulls me aside and complained about my review, asking me, before my appointment, if I would take it down or not, giving me her thoughts on how she thinks she is doing. I disagreed. She reiterated, I disagreed again, I stated they had affected my health, she denied.
She adamantly states that they sanitize everything and that even though she was not present during my last appointment, the resulting pain and infection wasn't their fault. They then put me in a room, for an entire hour, to send a tech, in to explain they hadn't gotten a correct impression last time (as I stated they hadn't, in my previous review), and they still weren't done with my crown after 3-4 weeks, it will be another 4 weeks. It would be one thing if they actually had finished the work today, but they proved what I stated before.
Dentist didn't even bother to come in, after an hour. My insurance has also told me, right after this, that this office has failed to give requested information on two of my teeth, which can result in claim denials if they fail to receive.
Is this how we treat people? Confront them before appointments and hold their healthcare hostage over criticisms?
I definitely recommend this dentist and here is why:
Front office person are nice and efficient.
Office is clean and comfortable.
