How would you rate Kiss Ultra Lounge?
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Yesterday my friends and I went to Crave to begin a Bachelorette celebration. The Bride-to-be made reservations initially for a party of 6, weeks ago. The week of she called to increase the party to 10. She was told the current table sat 6 but that her request would not be an issue since our area was close to the bar and chairs could be pulled to the table. However this was not the case after we arrived. The manager came over and told us that we were being intrusive and could not remain in the section we were seated in... Mind you we were not rambunctious or loud. The bride then asked if they could seat us elsewhere. Clint, the manager, said NO. He went on to say: "This is NOT a nightclub and you just can't add people to your party"! We found this comment EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE and DISRESPECTFUL! He didn't attempt to accomdate our party, which at that point it didn't matter cause I wouldn't spend a PENNY in that place!! We then left and went to the Wine Loft at South Blvd! Where we had IMPECCABLE service and such a GREAT time! Our party spent $500+ at Wine Loft. Glad we were able to enjoy our evening but lesson learned: NEVER GOING BACK TO CRAVE!!! #HORRIBLEcustomerService #Profiling #DISRESPECT
This place is a peace of crap for real. The dress code is ridiculous, its not even clear on the website. I had slacks and a plain shirt and they didn't let me in. To eat desert! Are you kidding me? Some of my friends stayed and said it was horrible anyway. The deserts tasted like Hookahs. Wtf
We were so thrilled to have our wedding at Crave! Stefani and her amazing personality helped us from day one. Wow, she could light up a room and keep it lit. Thanks to her we were calm, relaxed, felt we were in not just good hands, but CARING hands each step of the way. Her suggestions and ideas and laid back fun easy going, anything- you - want - done attitude calmed us down and we realize thanks to her an the team we had such a great day. All of our guests were so suprized when we said we were having a breakfast wedding, but Stefani and the team delivered. Thanks to chef Andreas for his amazing culinary suggestions and amazing talent, the day could not have been better. We wish we could have a redo all over again just to enjoy the food and desserts! You guys are awesome, you have no idea how grateful we are for everything you did for us on our day. From the first bubbly and friendly conversation we had on the phone, till the last hug goodbye, your attention to detail and perfection was amazing. We hope there will be several weddings at Crave in the future, and if you are even THINKING about a special party, wedding or shower, this is the place in Charlotte. Your guests will thank you. Pricing was perfect and well below the competition. Smart move:)
Thank you again to Stefani, Andreas and the whole team that worked our special day, you guys are the best!
I live right across the street and try to order takeout desserts every so often. They never answer the phone and EVERY time I order cupcakes They are never right. It's like I get someone else's order every time. Last time I went They handed me the bag of cupcakes with the box turned sideways. Cupcakes were smashed as I expected and wrong again.
Overall 1)Decent desserts 2)terrible service 3) Good atmosphere
I would give them a 5 star if they didnt have stupid rules like no jeans on certain nights and having to make reservations when they look half empty. food is great...hookah is always great...desserts are great....drinks are ok.
Been Here A Few Times and Every time Was Enjoyable...... Deserts On Point, Staff Friendly, Hookah Taste Great, Alcoholic Beverages Will Have You Needing A D.D. Atmosphere Is Laid Back Grown and Sexy With a Splash Of After Hours Flavor...... I Would Definitely Recommend Crave Desert Bar To Friends and Family, Already Have.....
Ok so where do I start....we were racially profiled immediately at the door by the greeter. He asked for Id's then addressed my attire by saying that my jeans were not appropriate, and that there club requires bussiness casual. The greeter also stated that we should have called because there website clearly does not state that minor rips in jeans are not appropriate. This wouldn't be such a big issue if I hadn't so called did my research, checking the website and also calling ahead before we made a 45 min drive. I will definitely NOT be recommending my friends and Family to this establishment!
I had a terrible time at this establishment!!!! Last night I visited Crave with two of my friends, and after my experience I will not be returning again, and I will not be recommending anyone to visit.
My friends and I was denied entry, bc we were told we didn't comply with their dress code. We were dressed in business casual. The door man made a random list from the top of his head. After leaving I called the restaurant I spoke to the manager Kelly; she was very rude.
If I could I would give this place 0 stars. I've been giving this place too many chances just because of the atmosphere, but their service sux big time. Staff is not prepared, our table was left with no service, some of my friends had to order drinks twice because they were never getting it when they first asked and the server was forgetting our order all the time. Plus I had a bday celebration and forgot one of my gifts, so I called them 10 min after I left to ask them to save it, but mysteriously it was not there, then the lady said she would ask our server and call back. Nobody called so I called back the next day. I repeated the story and the first thing the lady told me was that if it was not there it was thrown away. I mean show a little more of care to the customer. Don't use the word "thrown away". I even gave her the information of the table I was sitting and the name of our server so she could ask her if she remembered seeing something and the lady accused me of accusing the server of stealing when I just wanted her to ask the girl. Even though it was my fault forgetting it there, the way they talk to you make it clear they don't give a s**t. There are way better ways to say things to a costumer and they decide to just be plain rude. Why being so defensive if nothing happened? Just simply say "I'll ask the server" or "I asked her and she didn't see nothing, I'm so sorry about that". Worst costumer service ever!
This establishment has no care or concern for customers who truly value their business! The "greeter" (I really shouldn't call him that) just made a list off the top of his head, as it relates to dress code. He stated that we can't wear jeans, but the last few time we went there, we were allowed in this restaurant while wearing jeans! He also mentioned to my friends that they can't wear camo pants, did he even consider the fact that they serve our country through military service!!! Tonight was a total disappointment. I truly had high hopes for having a great time this evening.
First time in town, and this place was worth the visit. Crazy good service, very patient with a lot of advice on food, drinks, and hookah. The atmosphere was beautiful! Even the guests wete well dressed which added to the venue (very adult and semi romantic) The dessert was delicious. There was a magician there visiting tables (that were interested in entertainment)!! He was talented and personable. Needless to say we will be back. Thank you all for everything.
Nice spot at Camden cotton mills. Offers free parking which is a plus. Small plates and desserts. The key lime cheesecake was good. Not the best but good. One really nice thing about it was five dollar bourbons on Tue.
I am so excited to try this place.I have heard great things.I also am planning a celebration for getting accepted into nursing school Saturday at 10:00pm and was not aware that they would be as crowded as they will.So I just called and even though they are booked the lady answered the phone and made the reservation 30 min earlier so we wouldn't be in the 10pm-11pm traffic.Thats awesome!! I will give more stars after my first visit!!!!
Awful customer service at Crave Desert Bar. Out of towners that stopped through for desert and we were turned away b/c of attire (which was not posted online or anywhere at the establishment) We were met at the doorand told there was a certain attire for the evening. Initially we didn't have an issue, but in that same moment this guy walks in with crocks and "business shorts" on with not even a blink. Deeply disappointed in the way we were singled out. Needless to say this is a business we would not support in the future.
Crave used to be my "go to place." Recently though, their hookahs have been some of the worst ones I've had. They used to be great...so not sure whether they got a new packer, but their hookah tasted like plastic and kitchen cleaner. Service was great, and she understood that we where not happy with our hookah at all. We got another flavor...nothing better. We got a third flavor, still trash. Unfortunately I have told my friends that Crave is no longer my go to place for hookah. Drinks and food (wine sucks though) aren't too bad though so they have that going for them. I just wish their hookahs were as great as they used to be. If you want hookah AND drinks, you are better off taking your business elsewhere. You can tell other people may feel the same, because people clear out MUCH earlier.
1 star, wish I could rate it no stars. Yes thats how I feel about my experience at this establishment. Went to Crave for my best friend's 21st birthday, we were super excited about the drinks and the atmosphere (including the hookah) based on pictures and the fact that none of our friends had been there. We went, we made a reservation, were greeted and seated pretty promptly for a big party. Within 5 minutes what seemed to be a great start, quickly turned sour. One of my friends grabbed a menu and a slug was on it and started crawling onto her hand. We then alerted our waitress about the situation but overall there seemed to be a lack of concern and care for our party about the situation. Service wasn't the best even taking into account the crowd for the night, music was subpar and the drinks were decent but for the price not worth it. Will not be revisiting. Sad because I was hoping to have found a new "fave" spot especially considering the great reviews.
The place was disgusting. The food was overrated and these prices. The staff was not hospitable and the manager was not concerned when there was a slug that fell from one of their menus onto one of my friends. I won't be going back and I'm so disappointed.
Came here for my 21st birthday. I was excited to come because me and my friends have never been here before. Within the first 5 minutes a slug crawled from the menu on to my friends hand. When we told management about it they didn’t do anything. Needless to say it ruined my 21st birthday. Experience here was terrible.
My fiancé made reservations here for 8 people for my birthday. Came in and they only had us down for 6 people and tried to stick us in a corner where there should be couches but there were only a few stools and a bench (enough for 5 people). We moved to a table for 8 soon after. Service was absolutely horrendous. We had more than 3 waitresses. It took over 30 minutes to get a hookah and a slice of cheesecake and it would have taken longer if we didn't remind the waitresses multiple times. They don't write anything down when you order, just stare at you with this vapid look like they can't comprehend what you're saying. WRITE IT DOWN IF YOU CANT DO THE ONE THING YOU'RE PAID FOR. One waitress brought out hummus for one person, sat it in the middle of the table, and when a friend said "that's not mine that's hers" (pointing to another friend), the waitress said "I'm just going to put it in the middle". I was thinking in my head "yeah sure no problem I'll move it since I'm paid to do your job". Our bill should have been credited for the horrible service but I was surprised to see that they added 18% gratuity like they actually deserved any at all. My fiancé doesn't like when I make a scene and I couldn't waste another minute of my life in there so I just left a nasty note. This place is over hyped and over priced for the service. The workers are pretty snobby aside from one of the hostesses who was very helpful. Also I've heard they make a big deal about dress code but I can't tell you how many of the servers' bras I saw, and those red dresses look cheap. Hoping for a better dessert bar to open because it's a great idea just so poorly executed.
Crave has such a fun atmosphere every time I visit. The servers and bartenders are very helpful and friendly. All of the martinis are SUPER delicious and fun. The desserts truly kick my cravings, whether it’s sweet or savory or both! 10/10 recommend crave for a great time with friends.
Firstly, the decor was breathtaking. My waitress, Allina, was the epitome of superb customer service and provided recommendations on the menu since it was my first visit.
This place tends to get busy and crowded around 9 PM, so early arrival is recommended. Although the drinks are pricey, they are worthwhile! I highly suggest ordering the Berries and Bubbles cocktail.
Crave is one of my favorite places to go with my girlfriends! We love drinking martinis and sharing desserts. I'm not sure if the tiramisu or the bread pudding is my favorite, as they are both super yummy!
Evan was the manager on duty! Outstanding job.. great customer service and awesome interior vibes. Definitely the move for girls night!
I LOVE crave! Food, desserts and hookah? Yes please. Our waitress, Brynn, was lovely. Took care of my girls and I on our monthly girls night out. The hookah captain (Tati?) made our hookah great and made sure we always had a fresh coal. Would recommend to anyone and everyone
This is my favorite place. The food is great the ambiance is awesome. There are happy great servers and manege that are attentive to every customer even when they have a packed house.I do wish there were clear signs to get to thier parking.( They validate)
We came here for a late dessert, after hearing how good this place was for desserts. There was a bit of a wait as this seems to be a very popular spot. The place is huge as are most places here, the decor reminded me of a hookah lounge in Astoria. They do have hookah here and along with a full bar. This place seemed to be more of a bar/lounge than a place that focuses on desserts. We ordered the chocolate covered strawberries and the carrot cake cupcake along with the red velvet cupcake. The cupcakes were huge, the carrot cake one was really good. The red velvet cupcake was too dense and dry. The staff here was very nice!
So we came to Crave at midnight they got us a table in 20 minutes without a reservation even though there was a wait that was 3x that. The manager Evan made sure that we weren’t waiting and gave us a nice table. Meg and Haley were so nice I felt like I was invited to dinner at a friends house. If you’re in Charlotte you should definitely come here. They are so welcoming and the food and drinks were good too.
Preston and servers were awesome! Great hookah and food. We came from D.C. and they treated us very well. Would highly recommend to a friend. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town. A+
I love the ambiance at Crave and I am yet to have anything on the menu that's is not absolutely delicious! The service/waitresses could be a little more attentive. Whenever I sit at the bar I don't have an issue but in the main seating area I often feel forgotten about and have to flag down another server. Overall, I will definitely be back and love bringing my out of town visitors for a delicious climax (drink) and a decadent desset
I absolutely love this place. I’ve been going to Crave for years. Amazing desserts, food, and drinks, but more importantly a great staff! Jess is one of my favorites. Her service is the best and she is the first person I ask for when I walk through the door. I can come to Crave alone because I know I will be taken care of! If you’re in Charlotte, be sure to stop in and ask for Jess!
Great place to hang out after a long week. It was pretty busy when I went, but all my food and drinks came fast. Lot of good beers on tap, good food, and beautiful people. Ashlyn was very nice and made sure I enjoyed my first experience there. I’d recommend this to anyone.
Loved our entire experience. The atmosphere and music were exactly what we have been searching for was so good. And the food was a home run. Our waitress Megan treated us like royalty and for that we thank you and your lovely establishment!
Simply Awesome! Great menu for a lite bite to eat and amazing dessert options. Our server, Alexis was knowledgeable and offered delicious suggestions that turned out to be really good. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Can't wait for my next visit. Thank you, Alexis for making our dining experience memorable.
My first time visiting. I was impressed with the eclectic atmosphere. The drinks were good, my dessert was ok, however I was disappointed that my cupcake to-go was hard as bricks the next morning. My only hang up is that we called a day in advance to make a reservation, and we were told that somebody would call us between a certain time period the next day, which did not happen. Once we arrived, the greeter just assumed we hadn't made a reservation, and went down her entire speech about having to wait, etc. Other than that, it was a good experience. We will be back.
The blueberry mint and grape mint hookah were really nice. The staff was polite but the service was very slow. We ordered a drink which came to the table only after we asked them about it. They probably forgot to put it in. But the place has a nice vibe and is a good place to relax and have a good time. The creme brulee was excellent.
So to start I want to say I enjoyed my dessert and small plate it was delicious. The service was great and my husband and I enjoyed a nice late night treat. However, my rating comes from two things. I am pretty anal about leaving tip as I have worked in the serving industry and currently work as a hostess part time so I understand the need to leave a good tip. Well our bill came to 41.15 and I left $8 cash and 0.00 the tip on the receipt signed and thought nothing else. Fast forward a week and I notice on my bank statement that the total came to 51.15. Confused I look back at my receipts cause again anal and I keep all records the waitress added an additional $10. Now I'm not a tightwad but I feel very upset that I was taken advantage and if it happens to me what's to say it won't happen to someone else. Again service was great and I tipped appropriately what possessed this server to go beyond that and take more. So I call management and leave a voicemail she was prompt to respond to me however the overall attitude surrounding the incident seemed SUPER UNCONCERNING. To the point that she just handed me a ten dollar bill and thought nothing else was warranted for an explanation or steps moving forward. Now mind you this is my first visit to this restaurant and for this to happen it just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth and I dont want to come back when management seems to be unsympathetic to customers needs.I'm getting in touch with owners just because I dont feel the situation was handled in a way to comfort me to say come back we value our customers. My advice be mindful and if you get a server named Tara dot your eyes and cross your T's.
Always a fun time here, excellent desserts and a really nice drink menu. Perfect place for after dinner drinks and desserts. Good hookah selection and the staff is always friendly here!
The atmosphere was great, specially while enjoying their variety of desserts. I loved the double decker and the strawberry cupcakes. I would recommend this place to chill with friends or loved ones.
The location is convenient downtown by the stores and nearby restaurants The waitresses at Crave are so friendly and upbeat! The atmosphere is modern and eclectic. This was the first time I went to a dessert bar with hookah!!! Easy going music, creative styled desserts of different varieties and they serve drinks in fancy glasses!!! Their double stacked berry cheese cake is so amazing that it melts in my mouth!!! I recommend anyone who wants a different environment to try this place!!!
Good place to have fun. The deserts here are just amazing. The restaurant has a decent bar with good options. If you wanna hang out with your friends, this would be a great option in Uptown. Also, I had the best humus and pita bread here at Crave.
We met there with friends mainly to just have a few drinks and the atmosphere was great! Loved the hookah and the classy look and the really skilled bartender doing her thing! I would have given it 5 stars based on just that, but chef Elmie recommend the bread pudding! I don’t do desserts as it’s always way too sweet so when I tasted the perfect balance of sweet, salty and tangy from the fresh fruit I had to finish the whole thing. Beautiful bread pudding chef Elmie!
Great service. Delicious food. Hookah flavors are great. I encourage you to make a reservation if you're going on the weekend. Park in their designated parking lot and get the access code from your server to exit before you leave.
We live in uptown Charlotte and alway love to support local businesses. We walked over to this dessert bar tonight after our Friday night wine/dinner/art session after work thinking about getting some treats. We noticed there's out door seating and the weather is nice so we were contemplating if we want to sit inside or outside. I was totally in the costumer mode just thinking about what I want, not noticing there's a couple outside who was rejected by the restaurant. We greeted the host, and she asked if we want to sit inside or outside. Meanwhile I noticed this guy next to her, measuring us up and down. Finally he said, we don't allow people in gym cloths. At first I didn't understand that we were being rejected. My partner asked "not even if we just sit outside?" We got kicked out. When we walked out, the couple who got rejected before us was outside, trying to figure out what to do next. They're black, drove here, on a date. The lady is in a nice dress and heels, the guy in streetwear, long pants and nice sneakers (fashionable in my opinion). I was shocked. It's a dessert place, not a French restaurant. There's no sign saying it has such dress code.
We ended up going to a wine bar across the street.
I just don't understand it. How could a dessert place (average spending probably $20/person) have the same dress code like a $200 restaurant? I need a good reason.
I looked up their website for the dress code. you have to scroll down on mobile phone a bit to see it. I really don't understand why would they drive away customers like that.
Most places we've been to in Charlotte are inclusive but this is the only exception.
Most snobby and rude service! We couldn't even sit down and get settled before we we hassled for identification for a DESSERT bar, if there's an age restriction for a place that sells SWEET DESSERTS you should probably include that on your door, website, and google Maps. We had 4 different staff members approach us with bad attitudes and snobby remarks. The place had just opened, it's not like they were having a bad day. They had no compassion and filled out our survey for us as "excellent service". We did not have excellent service, we got straight attitude from all the staff we interacted with. And there was broken glass in one of their stools!!
My first time experience: The drinks were super sweet. It tasted like a tall glass of cranberry juice with no liquor. Our waitress forgot to put the hookah order in and then forgot to make it with ice after it arrived. It took forever. The atmosphere is nice, that's the only positive.
Highly recommend. Trendy and on point. The staff was great on service. And the chef was amazing 😍😍😍😍😍. This place has inside and outside area. To park was challenging, however we figured it out. There will be definitely a next time😘.
My friend and I popped in here for a bite before going out. We ordered two different types of flatbread. Both were absolutely fantastic! So fantastic in fact that we ordered another one after we finished the two that we ordered. The service was lovely and the ambience, relaxing and chic. I particularly appreciated that the noise level wasn’t too high, thus making conversation possible.
The drinks and bar service and desserts were pretty awesome. But the servers could definitely work on their service in regards to customer service. It’s unfortunate, but they walk around as if you owe them something.
This place would qualify for 5/5 stars if that was re-evaluated.
Saw crave on Late Night Eats and had to try. The service was amazing. The food and drinks were as amazing as their presentation. The lava cake was rich and decadent. Great place for date night or going with a bunch of friends. Don’t miss out on this rare gem.
A little pricey but well worth it. The place is gorgeous and well-decorated. A wide range of hookah flavors, signature drinks, and desserts. Great place to go with a date or your friends. Desserts are delicious.
Trendy, and like most of these trendy places, there are a few places where experiences could be improved. Service is just ok, and ANY drinks (alcohol or soda) take forever to be delivered. The food is good, the dessert is good, if both relatively expensive for what they are. The pain with all this is their "trendy" seating, of which 50% of their pieces are uncomfortable or unrealistic to stay and enjoy the company and food for any length of time. We'd go back, but we aren't "dying" to do so.
We traveled all the way from New York and wanted to see some nice new places around town. Weren't aware of/disappointed about the dress policy even though we were still presentable and appropriate about our attire choices, considering how cold it is outside. Weren't let in at all.
They have selected to present a nice array of delectable delights. While taking their "cocktail game" to the next level. An occasional salute to the best of North Carolina Spirits only adds to the intrigue. A excellent choice for a date night or a fun evening with friends.
Brief first time visit, but great fun. Staff rocks, cool room, smiles all around. Service tops despite being slammed.
Always a go-to after dinner when friends are in town. Great atmosphere and spectacular service. Treat yourself to great night out here!
Chill vibe. Really good drink and dessert options. Didn't know until we walked in, but it's a hookah lounge as well. I enjoyed their wine flight and a very fancy chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake. I would recommend reservations for a party larger than 2. If there is a wait, you can try to sit at the bar and order there like we did, worked fine. Comfy seating though in the booths. The entrance is in an alcove not off the main street next to an apartment complex.
We were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday and our search lead us to Crave. We are glad that we decided to try this place. Nice drink options, small plates, and of course deserts. If you are looking for a unique experience you must check out Crave. Oh, did I mention that they also have hookah options!
I attended Crave this past weekend for the first time in a long time. I was very impressed by not only the fun warm winter drinks and fancy martinis, but the taste, quality and even the food. We went for dessert, but ended up having the delicious burrata and a flat bread. The roasted tomatoes served with the burrata were to die for! We also shared a dessert, the lava cake which was very rich and good. Thank you for a nice experience.
Excellent Service, Ambiance, Food and Staff. Thanks so much for letting me wear my hat, didn't get a haircut and my hair was looking crazy, lol. Will definitely respect the dress code next time but I appreciate the hall pass!
Cocktails were great! Waiting staff was good! But when ordered espresso, she brought us two cups with what seemed like instant coffee extremely watered down. When asked to remake the espresso, the waitress politely declined.
Super cute dessert bar. Their happy hour deal is a steal on the desserts. Get yourself a nice glass of wine and dig into some s’mores!
I was here a couple weeks ago to celebrate the birthday of a colleague with a small group of people. The drinks, food, and hookah were good. When the server came with my bill, I put my card in the check presenter and everything was fine. Moments later, the server rushed back to me immediately and accused me of not covering my bill. She said I only paid $7 of what was supposed to be a $30+ bill. It turned out that she falsely accused me of underpayment as they mixed up checks and payments in the back. During this misunderstanding, the server was rude and insincere. She carelessly offered to get her manager because she could see I was becoming upset. My point is, I believe this entire misunderstanding could have been prevented if the server did not start by making accusations because I'm a young adult. Most often when servers notice a mistake, they ask questions instead of accusing people. Why am I posting this review weeks later? Because I can't shake off the feeling of being accused by the server for something I did not do, because I'm a younger adult. If it wasn't for this negative experience, I'd probably give this establishment 5 stars.
I just want to say I love this place ! And that the manager Jess was amazing. Usually I don’t leave reviews but I had to this time. My reservation was from 8-20 due to CIAA weekend and my friends came late so we were just going to have a bit of time: well I explained to Jess and she said not to worry about it to stay and sit and she’ll figure it out and to ignore leaving at 10. That was so thoughtful and I really appreciated it. Thank you Jess for making my Friday night great with my friends!!!!!!!!!
I love the vibe, the dessert, and the cocktails. I recommend this place when my friends want to celebrate (graduations, birthdays, promotions, etc.) Get the cucumber martini... you won’t regret it! This place never disappoints
Come during happy hour! The bread pudding is to die for and the whiskey sour is the best I’ve had in a long time. Has a very cozy vibe.
Talk about a fun place to hang, chill and satisfy that CRAVE for something sweet. This is a low key hipster establishment that you can enjoy a drink, food (small plates) and dessert along with hooka if you're into that kind of thing all at the same time.
I had the chocolate dessert drink along with the PB&J cake and not only impressed but a delightful experience. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. They will validate your parking ticket if you park in the parking lot that is beside the restaurant.
Trendy and modern space with sensational desserts. The servers were friendly and suggested desserts and cocktails we really enjoyed. Celebrated a birthday and they gave us an ultra festive bday cupcake.
I think this was lace wins as far as bars/restaurants i visited while in town. The cocktails were so good and the desserts were even better. Such a chill place to hang with girlfriends or on a date.
I've gone here twice with a group of 4 people (including myself) and we really didn't have a long wait. We went a little later at night, around 10 the first time and around 12 the second time. Both times the people were working there were extremely nice and pleasant. The desserts we had were always good and the hookah (not my thing) was apparently good as well. We're excited to go back again.
Great app and desserts. We had crab dip and 2 cupcakes strawberry and chocolate with drinks..pineapple mojito which was great! Nice chill atmosphere.
It's an amazing hangout place. Very rustic and hip in ambience. Loved it. Loved the hookah flavors too.
Great desserts and drinks. Was visiting from Florida and had a craving for something sweet. Luckily Crave dessert bar was a short walk from our hotel. Very nice atmosphere with great desserts. The drinks were just as good.
Very unique what I would call lounge restaurant. A lot of bad reviews on here but those weren’t our experiences. If you’re into hookah this is a really cool place (we didn’t partake) and the dessert options seemed pretty solid. We really enjoyed the s’mores platter that includes a little gas torch where you can roast the marshmallows at your own table. Fun post-dinner date night spot but probably won’t be rushing to come back
Super trendy environment & great vibe and tunes. Drinks are good even tho they got rid of my old fave (The One Night Stand) & the bread pudding is always a hit! Wish there was more male staff & not in love with the fact that parties less than 6 can't make reservations anymore *thanks jerks who caused this policy change* First time sitting at a table and I definitely prefer sitting at bar because if you're not smoking hookah & are seated next to someone who is, you get barraged by their smoke & that's a little weird when you're eating. Inquiring abt wait got a little awkward but the manager more than made up for that with a special non-menu drink. Overall, it's a great spot !
The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The one coffee drink I had was a little bitter but the other dessert drinks and actual desserts were delish! Cute and chill place.
The atmosphere was very artsy and felt modern yet warm. The bricks and comfy furniture made it feel comfortable, they also had a lot of seating options. The staff were kind and but the service was slow. I enjoyed my desserts and the plating was carefully and creatively crafted. Everything we got was perfectly balanced in term of sweetness and nothing was sickly sweet.
I thought the service was absolutely excellent. Our waitress was amazing and made my wife feel so comfortable. It was her first time and she cannot wait to go back. We each had a drink and an entree and were so full we plan to go back for dessert tomorrow 😁 Talk about an awesome environment. The hookah from the table near us was perfection. We made friends, tasted a new hookah flavor and plan to link with new friends. If your looking for a very good and super cool vibe restaurant...bar.... dessert heaven. I give it a 👍🏻👍🏻up.
I visit this place every time my friends visit me in Charlotte and have had a good experience. Last Saturday 9-6. however was not a pleasant visit when I took a couple of my friends who were visiting me in Charlotte. The desert was good but the hookah felt very harsh. We thought it was the coal and we reported to the waitress. The waitress replaced the coal and poked more holes on the foil which made it even worse. More to go with this she dropped the coal down on our table where our desert was. She just apologized and left, didn't even bother that there was coal on our desert. When we complained the second time about the hookah still being harsh, the waitress said there were too many people using the hookah. (there was 3 of us!!) she mentioned she would try to repack and see if that would make it better. Unfortunately It didn't. Disappointed, we decided to leave and ask for the check. Repacking was also included in the check. So me as a customer had to pay because a waitress didn't know how to pack and prepare a hookah. We just couldn't take it more, we paid and left. Oh and they had automatically charged 18% gratuity even there we were less than a group of 6!

NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Not coming back.
Crave is a tasty dessert lounge that offers dessert drinks and items. The food is always tasty and this night I tried their pineapple upside down cake. It was delectable! I was however not too impressed with the staff. They were slightly rude for my friends birthday and not very attentive. I love the dessert here and will return, but I hope service will be slightly better.
Very demure atmosphere, great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail, hookah if that's your choice and delicious elegant desserts. Comfortable seating, spacious and dim lighting... Suprisingly very reasonably priced...half priced hookah on Sundays and free parking! Already planning my next visit
This is a great spot for a girls night out or date night. Love that it’s open late. Features small plates, hookah, great drinks and tasty desserts to choose from. We opted for the red velvet waffles with white chocolate sauce and the sticky toffee pudding. Loved the waffles but weren’t a huge fan of the stale graham cracker dust underneath the pudding. When in Charlotte, visit here!
Jessica is an awesome server, very bubbly & engaged. Food was good. This was my 1st visit & the atmosphere is very nice & warm. Eclectic furniture, funky decor. Enjoyed the venue!
Cute date spot. Lovely sharable desserts and excellent drinks. Waitress was able to choose drinks for us based on what we told her we liked. Guys can't wear hats inside. Not bad just a note that caught us unawares.
I thought this place would be a little overrated but honestly it's not! We came here a few weeks ago to celebrate a friend's Birthday and they had some awesome drinks on special (half off on Wednesday). Their menu is so unique (where else can you get specialty fondue waffles and actual smores with a flame??). Crave has such a cozy environment that I think anyone would feel comfortable at.
Second time here. Not crowded. Did not have a reservation. Started at the bar and seated shortly after. Came for dessert only but they do have other offerings on the menu, to include hookah. Had the bread pudding. Perfect size and delicious.
I haven't been to Crave 10 years because of bad service. I thought I would give it a try again.... I arrive just to watch the two hostesses chat it up about their schedules before I was acknowledged. I was placed in a waitlist which was fine. I made my way to the bar. I sat at the bar for 6 minutes before anyone acknowledged me there. I ordered a drink and once my drink came it was the last time that I saw the bartender. Cool atmosphere poor service. I'm speaking from 10 years ago and now.
We had a great time 1/19/2020. Sabrina was a great host/waitress. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The hookah, drinks and food were good too but my group of 6 agreed that we would come just to have her as our server
Great place I’ve been coming to consistently for years. Definitely one of my favorite places in Charlotte especially for its versatility (chill hookah spot, fancy dessert bar for a date, or a pit stop on a night out). But I will say the incremental rise in prices has gotten excessive. It’s now $35 for one hookah... I remember coming here and paying only $20. A stinging downside
This is a very cool place. The atmosphere and decor is nice and what you would look for in a city restaurant. The appetizer food and drinks are very good, we did the buffalo sliders that where great, but the hummus was absolutely wonderful. Their sippable cocktails are tasty. We finished the evening with the Bourbon Pecan Cheesecake that was amazing... Our only disappointment was we did not realize this was a hookah bar as well. We were fortunate to be there early just after opening at 5pm, so not much hookah action. If your into hookah, this is a fantastic place for you, but if not I suggest early even if it's starting with desert before going to dinner. This is a place worth visiting!
Awesome dessert and drink options in Uptown. The cupcakes were great and the Tiramisu was truly special. There is also a nice variety of upscale cocktails. Being new to the city, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite places.
Great Shisha; however, we were almost sent around because apparently there is a dress code. When we were finally let inside there were multiple people dressed the same as us. The hostess gave us an attitude when we requested to sit somewhere else, when she tried to sit us next to the bathroom, when the restaurant was almost empty. There were crumbs on the table that she sat us at. I asked our server if we could have a rag to wipe the table down and she caught an attitude and told me the table had already been wiped.
We went to Crave for 1 main thing only and that was their hookah. Went there once on Saturday and again on Sunday.
On Saturday, we ordered a Mint Flavor...read this and 392 more
