How would you rate Just Q'in Barbeque?
Guys! This place is amazing!! You need to check it out! When other places claim that their meat is tender and moist, they're lying. This place is the real deal!!!
Thank goodness I had the chance to make my first visit the other day. I got the meat sampler. Very simple, your choice of three meats. I went for the ribs, wings and brisket. The brisket by far is the big winner here! They slice it about 3/5 inch thick and stupid how ridiculously moist this stuff is. I haven't found brisket this amazing anywhere else in the Midwest - not KC, not STL and certainly not here in Cincinnati.
The wings and ribs were definitely solid as well. Again, very moist and tender. I love that they served all of this dry and let you be the judge as far as sauce goes. It really didn't need a lot of sauce because their rub is very flavorful. But I thought their sauce was unique - maybe has a taste of that Cincinnati cinnamon going on?
I can't wait to try their other location and load up on more of that brisket!!
Fast service and convenience of parking. Great carry out speed. In and out in less than 5 minutes for simple orders. Like the menu because it is simple. Plates or just meet. Half chickens are my favorite option. Perfect size for me and my wife. The whole ones at the store are too much food for us.
I've tried both the chicken and the pork; both are excellent. The slaw has a nice bite and tang, and the cornbread is sweet and tasty (after 5 years in Atlanta, I'm picky about my cornbread!).
It's a small place with only a few indoor tables, so be prepared to either sit outside or do takeaway.
Definitely worth a visit.
Had been meaning to try it for a while after going to Eli's a lot. I like Eli's but don't think it's worth the hype it gets.
Anyway, finally made it to Just Q'in and got my food literally 30 seconds after the cashier handed me my change. It was great. The pulled pork was chopped into large chunks, which I dig, but some of the pieces were too big to eat. Good smoke flavor, not too overpowering. Moist enough but not the moistest. Good bark. Sauce was very smokey and sweet, thick but not KC thick. Had a great tanginess. Love that they use a classic Martin's potato roll (at least that's what i think it was). Would love to try some more items. Overall, just under 8/10.
The girl there seemed to be very judgemental, and myself and spouse go to church. Made me feel as if she did not want me dining in. But the food was very good.
Great place to grab a quick bite. I always get the "David" pork sandwich. No frills, just great food and service. Looking forward to trying their catering for my next family get together.
We went to the Newtown restaurant. I had the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. While it was good, I noticed that everything was tough (the meat).
I also had the Mac and cheese. Which was phenomenal. Maybe we will try again another day.
Love the bbq. They never have the cornbread when we stop. They say it is so good that they sell out, but I would never know because they never have it when we order food.
Best bbq I have had in a long time, much less best sandwich. The David pork sandwich, it's a must!!
Best customer service hands down, I've heard many good things about their bbq, but it honestly wasn't my favorite.
Great barbeque. Limited seating. I will be back to try other items
Best bbq in the area. Great service and quick!
Some of the best BBQ in Cincinnati. One of the few I'll eat and always go back to.
This is a really cool place with 70's funk music playing. Indoor and outdoor seating. Atmosphere gets 5 stars. Food portions to price is average. The food itself has a unique flavor. I'm thinking there's cinnamon, nutmeg, or something along those lines that while unique is not my idea of a bbq flavor profile, however being in Cincinnati, those that like Cincinnati style chili will probably love it. The Mac & cheese was awesome. The baked beans had that same Cincinnati chili type seasonings. The pulled pork was slightly over cooked giving it a slightly mushy texture. The meat itself had little flavor and it was smothered in there bbq sauce. I would have preferred the sauce on the side. The ribs were cooked perfectly and had more flavor but again, too much of the Cincinnati style sauce. I'm a certified bbq judge with the Kansas City Barbeque Society so I know taste is subjective and many locals will likely love the taste.
Perhaps it was just me, but not my favorite place for pulled pork. Sauce was average. Thought a tad expense vs. other small BBQ places.
Hands-down the best barbecue in the entire Cincinnati area if you have a chance to come here trust me do not miss out
My taste buds are so satisfied. That was some of the BEST bbq I've ever had and I live in Memphis so that's saying a lot.
Atmosphere- To be expected from roadside BBQ
Service- Both women working seemed inconvenienced to be working that day.
Food- Brisket, pulled pork, and ribs all had the same monotone flavor. Definitely tasted like BBQ but I can find better tasting meat elsewhere.
Price- For all the reasons above, it was grossly overpriced. If you expect patrons to pay over $15 for meat, and 2 small sides, then you better make damn sure your BBQ is top notch.
Overall not a bad experience but if this is Just Q'in's best foot forward, I will not be returning.
What's up with the cross anyway? Would Jesus eat ribs? I don't know, but I've heard Israeli gooooood.
Wonderful experience we went for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and got ribs, jalapeno corn bread, and potato salad. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and are so delicious they don't need any sauce! We will be going there regularly!
Staff very friendly, my preference is for finely shredded pork bbq. Meat should have warmer with heat.
Postives: large portion size, good flavor, I will return & try other products
The best brisket and omg the mac n cheese is dank! I tried the peach cobbler and wowwwww!
Food is good but missed a side in our to go order
This wonderful absolutely Devine brisket sandwich is the best hands down ive ever eaten. The bbq sauce is unique and pairs perfectly with the sandwich. Enjoy Cincinnati!!!
I love their food but the service is terrible. They mess up every to go order. Starting to be a deal breaker.
All i will say is i spent 45$ on food and when i arrived home i threw it all in the garbage. It was that bad!
Super nice little hole in wall kind of place. Slow smoked meats and sides. Friendly service.
A bit pricey for what we got 30.00 for two. Small dine in area, cooler drinks no ice. You could get dine in full service dinner for two at SmoQ for just a few$$ more. Ok for a quick bite food was good.
Great meats and descent sides. A small family owned, Christian business that is better than the big box chains.
I ordered Just Q'in through doordash and was incredibly disappointed. I ordered a rib tips plate, a pork plate, peach cobbler and barbeque sauce. The plates are described as the meat with 2 sides, pickles, onions and white bread. They were out of the cobbler and we did not receive any barbeque sauce, which made the pork plate inedible because it was not sauced, dry and had no flavor. We also didn't receive pickles with it. For the rib tips plate, there was only one side, no bread, pickles or onions. The rib tips were also very small and there were only 7, which is a bummer for the price. The sides were ok but very small portions. All in all, not a great experience.
Great food, good atmosphere, and friendly service!
This place is amazing-food is excellent and the guys working were great. Can't wait to go back.
I highly recommend eating here.
Great little BBQ joint. I'd rather eat at a little place like this than any big shop. The meat's a little bland, before the sauce, but they more than make up for it in other areas. I wouldn't introduce a foreigner to barbeque at this shop, but I still eat here whenever I'm in the area.
Been here a few times and it’s never disappointed! Always great service, and wonderful food!
I honestly would give this place a 0 star. Chicken wasn't cooked, didn't get whay I ordered and paid for. This place was sick. How are you gonna serve raw chicken to your customers. Eli's is where you should go not h erem these people are a joke!!!! BBB will be told they serve raw chicken yo their customers.
We’ve been coming here for years. They have the best ribs and brisket around.
My crew & I stopped on a whim, was surprised and pleased they smoke the meat with Cherry, which adds a great sweet flavor. 3 of us ordered Brisket, Chicken & Pork. All were awesome and large portions. Sides were great and we struggled to finish everything. love the black cherry cola, fruit sweet tea & traditional flavor root beer. we’ll be back for more.
Love this place.. we tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago and we will definitely be a regular from here on out
Love this place. It's very small. They have a few tables inside with more outside. The food is excellent! The bbq sauce is so good.
Best BBQ in town. The brisket is amazing. Best thing I've eaten in a long time.
As great as the customer service was, the pulled pork BBQ sandwich was even better. Topped with their homemade slaw, this BBQ joint beats City Barbeque any day.
I recently placed a catering order for a birthday party. It was easy to connect with the owner to discuss my order and ensure it was adequate for my party size. The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was packaged well and I was also provided with misc. items (cutlery, plates etc.). Party attendees raved about the food and were eager to take home leftovers. I will order again and again for catering. I also love the atmosphere of the physical business locations.
Great food and great staff. We ordered a small family pack for my wife's birthday. They made a mistake on the order that we did not discover until I got everything home. It is a solid 20 minute drive one way for us. They went above and beyond to make it right for us. There were a few hiccups along the way, but they did WAY more than I expected and really showed that they are a top notch business. Plus everything is delicious! The meat is all great and the sides are amazing. I HIGHLY recommend them. One of the, if not THE best BBQ joints in town.
The brisket sandwich is yummy. Prices are a bit steep for what you get but the food is okay. The three rating is based on to consecutive visits where the order was a bit messed up it was corrected but making a trip to get it corrected is annoying.
Excellent pulled pork and killer beans too. Corn bread was also good. Don't hesitate to grab you some!
Tried Just Q'in a couple of weeks ago. I loved it! I had the brisket with spicy bbq sauce and a side of Mac n cheese and cornbread.
