How would you rate Kaffeine Coffee Internet & office Cafe?
Starbucks who??? I love this place. It is centrally located, and it is the perfect spot to catch up on emails or meet up with your friends for a coffee break.
I really didn't find this place great for studying or hanging out. It was completely empty on a Friday afternoon. (Not great for a coffee shop near a university) I got a cup of just black coffee which was alright but slightly overpriced. It's also in a subpar location on the corner of two busy roads in the middle of a neighborhood. I probably won't come back.
The atmosphere is soothing. The coffee and pastries taste like the good ole days... I love this place.
First time there today and I will be going back! Pecan roasted coffee is really good and the coffee cake is even better! Thanks Gena!
When you walk in the first thing you smell is the aroma of various roasted coffees being prepared. As you take in the many pieces of artwork throughout the cafe you make it to the counter you quickly realize that this place is LEGIT! Freshly baked goods which are prepared daily line the counter. I stopped in during the morning hours and there were multiple breakfast items available that will simply melt your heart. I particularly enjoyed the bacon croissant. Extremely flaky, and bacon that was cooked to the perfect level of crispy. Among the various coffee options, I opted for the "Latte for Work". YUM YUM YUM! 2 Expresso shots, Caramel, Chocolate, and made with love. It was divine. I sat amongst a few of the morning patrons and just had the greatest most relaxing experience. Light music in the background, the perfect amount of natural light, and great wifi. Totally check it out, it's a great place off the beaten path of trendy.
Great place to catch up with a friend, get coffee, or read/get work done....if you are wanting a quiet place however, DO NOT go on a Friday. The music is literally blasting and the clientele on that day, for whatever reason, talks unreasonably loud.
Also, if you don't want your clothes to smell like food, don't plan on staying for long. Twice I've come and I've reeked of something fried.
Best cold brew with agave nectar EVER!
Great place to grab a cup of coffee and just chill. The owner is very nice. This is way better then the cookie cutout franchise places popping up on every corner. (no names please) I love supporting local owned shops and Kaffeine is worth the visit.
A great coffee and pastry smell when you first walk in. Their food is wonderful, and the decor is on point.
Quaint and cozy coffee shop that's excellent for studying! The owner was extremely nice as well!
Just moved back into the neighborhood and discovered Kaffeine. I've been 6 times in 2 weeks. My mother owned a small coffee stand, and their white mocha is the only one I've had that compares to hers
The iced coffee is OUTSTANDING: only Cafe du Monde in New Orleans comes close! Good banana bread, too :)
I always love stopping by for a little coffee and cool out. Best business day stop spot in Houston!
Amazing coffee and wonderfully delicious croissant sandwiches. The ladies were also very nice and attentive.
This place is like Harlem Roaring 20's black, great customer service, great atmosphere, my brain is starting to wrinkle. Loveeeeee the art, the wall on the right as you walk in just puts me at ease. There use of tech is darling. It's like it's there, but you don't see it. Love it.
I really enjoy the food. Definitely will return....
I have been coming here regularly for about 3 years. Gina is amazing and remembers my drink when I come in. It's cozy and I love the fact that it's Black owned. The wake up call and caramel lattes are my favorite. SO glad I stumbled upon it when I did.
We are moving to the neighborhood and I was lucky to randomly try Kaffeine for a coffee and then lunch. What a great place. By the end of the visit, Gena the owner had introduced me to several new neighbors. Great service and food--I'll definitely be a regular.
Kaffeine Coffee is more a home than a restaurant. You are treated like family. The food is delicious, the coffee excellent and a super friendly, clean, welcoming restaurant. I plan to return often. I highly recommend the breakfast croissant with the turkey sausage.
I've been coming here for about a year now, and I'm very happy with this place 98% of the time. The 2%? Well that's when I get distracted and forget the hours that Kaffiene is open and show up to a place that's closed.
Ms. Gina and Chris are always friendly, and my coffee is always on point- I love the Snooze Button specialty drink they offer. Great place to sit and study, but I can't comment on the wifi because I just tether to my phone.
All in all a great place, cake and other treats are good (homemade) and service is awesome. If you need a hot or iced cup of Kaffiene, this is your place to go.
Great spot. Quite for working, and good coffee. I love their "Wake up Call". It wakes me up for sure and is delicious!
Been here 3 times with 3 separate guests and each time I've enjoyed it, along with my guests. Its a cozy feel coffee shop with a friendly staff and amazing coffee! Wi-Fi is available upon your order and they have great snacks and small plates. I highly recommend this place for the experienced coffee drinker or the person that just wants a laid back office space to do some work.
This is my new favorite coffee shop. The staff were very attentive and personable, the service was great, and my dirty chai latte was amazing! It's a great spot to hang out and get work done. Definitely worth checking out!
I really enjoyed my visit to this coffee shop. The owner is very sweet and friendly and her daughter (I presume) is a sweetheart.
The food and coffee were great. I wish it were open a bit later but other than that great place to go.
Phenomenal staff who really care about their customers and the community they work in, amazing coffee (the snooze button is my favorite indulgence), and a wonderful place to study and relax with a cup of coffee in hand.
This place exudes warmth and heart and is honestly one of my favorite places in Houston. Check their hours (because I've gone only to find it closed - my fault!) and go!
Lemonade was bomb! (Forgot actual name of it.) Comfy spaces to work or socialize. And it's a DTLocal partner! Lost one because the chai wasn't my cup of tea.
Best croissant sandwich I ever had. Not kidding. So fresh, yummy and amazing taste! The cold special drinks are also recommended. I took the Sunny Daze and the special sandwich of the day
Good food and drinks and very nice staff and customer service!!!!!
A unique experience and a worthwhile visit. Plan to stay and enjoy your coffee or latte here because you won't want to leave. Amazing drinks, superb service, and great people.
I usually don't review places but the breakfast I got here is probably the best I've had in a while. I had their bacon egg croissant and their house coffee. The coffee was full of bold flavor. The croissant was freshly made (you can see the eggs being cracked) bacon was thick and hearty. Atmosphere is chill with comfortable chairs and there's Wi-Fi!
Excellent coffee & tea.... wonderful place to study/read. Love my Kaffeine!
Kaffiene is awesome, their drinks are delicious and their space is mellow and relaxing. It’s a perfect place for studying or meeting up with a pal. Tons of plugs along the wall. Great local business, thanks!
Nice neighborhood coffee shop. Good food, friendly staff and great drinks.
My favorite chai latte in Houston! Personable staff, good lighting and seating. An excellent place to relax for a cup of something delicious, grab a quick bite, or sit down to study!
Great small business location, yummy food, coffee, tea, and other treats. Great meeting place and study in the heart of Houston
First off it’s black owned so that’s a plus for me. Then everything about this place is amazing. Prices are reasonable. Ample space for working. Very clean. The owner is so nice and personable. Definitely my go to to work.
Very clean and very good service. The coffee was amazing. Cant wait to visit again and again!!!
I love the vibe, love the product. Always wanted to try bullet coffee but not many places in Houston have it. It was awesome. This will be my new place for meetings.
Best coffee shop in houston. And to the negative comment about not allowing service animals inside..
Barnabys doesn’t let service animals inside for any reason. Not even if you are alone and need to go in and wash your hands. You will have to leave your S.A. on the patio unattended.. or they will bring you wet wipes, I guarantee that when you arrived at barnabys you didn’t step foot inside.
Love this little, cute, and cozy coffee shop. Their breakfast is oh so good and their coffee is authentic.
Today was my first time in. I hadn't had coffee in a really long time and tried there new blend. It was AMAZING! I went back for a second cup! Perfect service by Blake and the owner was nice, personable and came from behind her counter to greet me!
I'll definitely be back!
Has coupons and offers out but wont honor them. Rude owner that lacks knowledge of her business. Had a 30$ order denied because I had a valid $7 off coupon? We live in a luxury building down the street a nd several neighbors asked us about this place. I must sadly say i was denied service due to $7. Oh well on to a place that is not incompetent. 0 stars if i could!
The BEST coffee shop in Houston. Their croissants and cappuccinos are to die for. Good place for studying as well.
I love this coffee shop. Family-owned and run, they have delicious coffee and dairy free milk options. They have food and pastry offerings that smell delicious, but unfortunately there aren't many options for my gluten-free diet. Regardless, this is a wonderful spot for studying, reading, or meeting a friend over coffee.
I did not have the opportunity to visit this establishment however I did call to inquire about a yelp review that was left by a previous reviewer regarding the owner denying them access to the establishment with a service dog. Today I searched on Yelp for a spot with a patio to study for a couple hours. I saw the good reviews so I just read through the reviews like any other place I look up. I was so surprised to see one of the reviews that stated that the owner did not allow service animals. I called to confirm, assuming that the owner actually read the law after the first incident. The gentleman that answered (I think his name is Blake) straight out told me that I can only bring my service dog on the patio. I asked if he was aware that it is against federal and state law to deny service to anyone with a service animal. He immediately cut me off and said that they don't allow them and that I was more than welcome to bring my dog on the patio. I wanted to give this establishment a chance being that it is black owned however I refuse to have my rights violated. I am filing a claim with the US Department of Justice as well as with the state of Texas. It's sad that a business owner chose to compromise the reputation of their business because of ignorance and arrogance. Unlike most people, I can prove on spot not only am I a disabled combat veteran but that I require a service animal to perform specific duties directly related to my disability. I only hope he at least humble himself enough to at least read the law (Texas HB 489 and Americans with Disabilities Act).
I haven't eaten there yet. But I will. The owner was a friend of my Best friend...Joseph G.Davis that passes away on 2/1/2018. He always talked highly of her & her restaurant. So I gotta try it out for my BABY-BOY JOE.👍👍👍
Absolutely loved it! Yesterday was my first time there and I was blown away with everything. Lazy Daze Latte (probably not the name but close enough 😂)and the blueberry muffin were delicious! The vibe was great - relaxed and inviting. The inside is quaint and the place was full, but I was able to carry on a conversation with no problem. I will definitely be back! Keep up the great work!
My hubby and I visited this establishment after seeing them on KHOU 11 News. We decided to support them since they are black-owned. My review you ask?? Well, the establishment is very nice in the inside. The patio needs a makeover. My espresso was on point!! My hubby ordered the green tea. We got two breakfast sandwiches which was $16.00. WOW!! Nothing fancy about the sandwich. It was regular hamburger bun bread. I was not impressed with that at all. Very overrated. Our two drinks was $9.00. We ordered both of these separate because after we ordered our drinks, we decided to
Considering trying this place out but disturbed by the service dog denial. I understand dogs in the food places can make certain people uneasy but it is illegal to deny people with service dogs entry and you can be taken to civil court for this. Would hate to see this happen to a black owned business, so please reconsider your policy.=!
The best coffee and croissants !!!
The service is excellent and the decor is great!
I love the access to Internet and the lattes are number one!!!
It's the best in Houston for lattes studying and just relaxing !
I love it !!!!!
It's a nice little place to grab a bite to eat & a good latte. I had an iced mocha & egg, sausage, & cheese croissant. The staff was pleasant and attentive. No complaints here!
Better, cheaper, and more calm than a Starbucks any day. Great place to study in peace or meet a client for a quick meeting. Oh, can’t forget to mention free WiFi.
I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere here. The woman who first took my order remembered my name and was very friendly. She saw me eye-ing a table in the corner that had not been bussed yet and immediately let me know she would be right there to clear it for me which was really nice.
The egg, bacon & cheese breakfast sandwich I had was really yummy. As for the Vanilla latte I first ordered, it was too sweet for me. I think if I had ordered an extra Espresso shot as I usually do, it would have been much better. I could tell there was a little too much vanilla in it.
The Wifi worked really well. I spent a good 2 hours here and had no problems at all with it.
There was a lot of seating inside with a lot of cable outlets which was good. There was also an outside seating area on a deck which was a nice option to have, even though it is way too hot & humid right now to enjoy outdoor working. My only complaint about the inside seating was it was a little bit crammed.
I'm giving 4 stars only because it was fairly expensive. My vanilla latte & breakfast sandwich was already wracked up to $19.00. Yet still, I will be back to enjoy the easy-going atmosphere with good workspace and service.
Very welcoming environment. They make you feel like if you’re at home. Coffee is good too.
Great atmosphere run by the best staff in Houston. Great for a quick bite, or a quick hit of caffeine.
It's quite close to where my campus is and affordable prices as well. Once you go in there you can smell the coffee and sense you waking up. Only flaw is that it gets a bit crowed and not that much parking but other then all it is good.
I come here to play chess all of the time. The atmosphere here is really peaceful and fun. Plenty of good food and drinks, come on by wether you're in the mood for a muffin and a coffee or for a nice relaxing chess game.
Had a cappuccino and it was good. Had the croissant, which was also good. Thumbs up for the Beto love.
Great local owned coffee shop with wonderful food, drinks and people!
Great coffee. Warm and friendly service. Fast wifi. Ample seating and outlets. The shop is quiet with good ambiance. Will definitely return!
Love the place, ambience, great area to have quite time or with a friend, lots of flavors in the coffee
I really enjoy the atmosphere of this coffee shop. One thing I really appreciate is that the music is never super loud and I can concentrate on my work or the conversation I am having.
Coffee is great as well. I always ask what the barista recommends and every time I get to sip on something delicious.
Every time I come here my experience is even more refreshing than the last. Fresh hot food partnered with good strong coffee. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene setting to enjoy alone or with business colleagues.
Heard a lot about this place and finally got a chance to visit. Lovely atmosphere and very cozy. Staff were friendly and personable. My coffee tasted great but not as hot as I usually like it. Will definitely visit again.
The Hot Chocolate was amongst the best I’ve had in the city. It tastes like it’s made with real chocolate and has some extra flavors like cinnamon I believe.
I also had the croissant breakfast sandwich, it was good but a bit heavy, and there weren’t many breakfast options at the time.
I had attempted to go a couple days before, when they were supposed to be open, but their doors were locked (this was during the government shutdown, it could’ve been due to that). This might be why they didn’t have all their food available.
Was looking for a good coffee shop. This is the spot. The women were nice & patient in explaining their flavored iced coffees. I forget which one I got the first day but what I do remember is it tasted great. Just what I was looking for. However; the best discovery was the AMAZING blueberry muffins. Was told they are made in house. I also tried the banana muffin which was probably close to the best I've had. I was in the area the following day and made sure to stop & get more muffins. I will definitely stop by when in Houston. The Best Blueberry Muffin Ever!!
Love this place! Great for chatting, doing work, reading, or just relaxing. Great food and coffee. Owner is so nice!
I stopped in earlier today and got exactly what I wanted! A delicious honey vanilla latte, good music, warm and welcoming environment, Black art and a tasty...read this and 233 more
