How would you rate green seed vegan?
This is one of the few places in town to eat raw vegan food for a more affordable price. My wife has been transitioning to a more vegan diet and she has enjoyed the cold-pressed juices, the raw tacos, and the zucchini bacon. The restaurant is small in size with limited parking and the service can be slow. Given that the restaurant is located in a historic black neighborhood, it's good to see a significant African American clientele exploring its offerings.
Wow, the hulk smoothy is divine!! And the paninis were so hot and fresh, chorizo arugla salad was awesome. Big portions at a great price. Gotta try the cauliflower nuggets!!
Though small the place is really nice place to eat. The food is good and healthy. Try the cauliflower for sure, best thing there. Unless you're raw dieter, I wouldn't eat that part of the menu. The smoothies are great as well.
Wonderful panini sandwiches.... Hibcusus Tea is wonderful...
Ordered a drink only to be handed a container of pricey already-juiced juice.
I love this place!!! I really hope this place is around for the long run!! Yes it's in a sketchy area, but I have gone there numerous time by myself and never felt in danger. One thing I can say that some people could have an issue with is that they take a while to serve you. Everything is fresh and so I don't mind and I usually am just on relax mode when I come here so it works. I always order the same thing the Cauliflower nuggets with the Porto panini! A little spicy but very good! Maybe ill order something different one day but this is my favorite! I love that its a family owned/operated business and they will continue to get my business!
Very nice atmosphere with tasty delicious vegan food, I order the vegan Philly cheesesteak with dill cut French fries...I love this place
Delish and fresh dining.
One of my favorite place in 3rd ward! I am NOT a vegan but after eating this delicious raw/vegan fair I could totally convert.
The Cali Burger is too good to be true and the Rockin tacos were good also!
The nori rolls were tasty..some avocado would have been great inside. They also have fresh pressed juices and smoothies..you can't go wrong with the All Green Everything!
Had lunch there on the way to Galveston and dinner on the way back! Food was fresh and very tasty, Alissa Cohen move over. If these guys were in Boston, you would have definite competition!
Near home; midtown. Restaurant has been in business for a while.
Attentive staff and clean facilities.
Food is tasty and nutritional, emphasis on nutrition. One of a kind.
Parking is limited and sometimes inside the building it gets slightly warm.
I wish we had more places like this in town.
Definitely a solid restaurant. Very cost effective and wildly creative takes on counter grub. The raw and the cooked vegan foods leave none at a lack for good options.
Ordering is walk up and the menu is a bit hard to read over their counter because it has a lot of, honestly, amazing-sounding options. The mobile web site has no menu on it, but prompts you to download an app; this was my main contention that had me knock a start off.
Otherwise, we got three different items that ranged from good to very good. The sides were very good, especially the cauliflower pieces with buffalo sauce. We got two smoothies and one juice; they ranged from ok to very good. The hibiscus tea was okay.
Parking was difficult but totally manageable. It wasn't sure conditions but still it was very comfortable on a hundred plus day. Seating isn't spacious but it's orderly and effective. Staff were very pleasant even when they had to straighten out a bill (one item wasn't brought out, but it also didn't get ring up so no big).
This could be for start immediately if they just fix the menu; online and in person, it's to difficult to find out what they serve when you're in a rush. Before you say "this isn't a rush place" (it isn't), I'm just saying this portion could be easier to manage for people who get anxious or have bad sight (me and me).
I tried it for the first time yesterday. I had the Almond Joi smoothie, the Cauliflower Nuggets appetizer, and the Big Tex sandwich.
The Almond Joi smoothie was good but next time I think I'll try the Coconut smoothie. The Cauliflower Nuggets were delish...for people that normally eat chicken, they would really love them. The Big Tex sandwich was good but the jalapenos still have seeds...I took a bite and got a chunk of jalapeno that was so hot it was almost bitter. Luckily I only got caught on that one bite because the rest of the sandwich was considerably milder.
I love the health aspect but I was left a little jaded for lack of flavor. That said, I would go here again if I was in the area and needed a heathy meal. Dining room was a little small.
Tacos are the best, then cauliflower... had the fungus burger but didn't care for it or the piña colada smoothie. Sweet potato crisps are yummy as well.
I love the food! My favorite is the Rockin Tacos & Cali w/brown rice wrap. The hibiscus tea & Almond Joi is AMAZING!! They sell detox pills that are wonderful, but won't sell the bottle. Buying 1 pill at a time can be costly!! Oh and if you take your food to go they charge an environment fee!! In my opinion that takes away your tip.
I enjoyed the food. I had one of the tasty Garden-burgers, with the side of fries. I ate the burger as is. The Patti is soft, after several bites it may come out the back. The french fries were very good as well and are natural cut.
Prices are decent, my burger was about eight dollars in the fries were 2 . After tip I was under $13.
Quick and convenient place to grab juices or a good vegan snack with good flavor/seasoning.... Love the cauliflower bites and burger... Elixirs are great as well. The immunity shot is strong but def one of my faves. choconana is a great smoothie if you don't want anything too sweet.
Grabbed a quick dinner here after checking out the museum district. Loved all of the vegan options. Prices were fair. The restaurant has a neat vibe. Food was delicious and prepared super quick! We were in and out within a half hour. Would definitely come again.
First time eating here, really good vegan food, juices are yummy. Very hard to find a lot of vegan resteraunts but this one is on my list now! I got the Cali burger, I could eat them all day
Had the fungus amongus and cauliflower nuggets. Both were amazing. Also, if you go at night, it looks dark because they've tinted the Windows. Open up the door and you'll see the light. 😃
excellent vegan food friendly staff great environment will be returning soon!!
For a person who doesn't do vegan or vegetarian food. I gotta say the black beam burgers were pretty dang good. It's not gonna turn you vegan but it is pretty dang good
I thought the the location was odd. There's not much parking space so you have to park across the street. Once inside, it was busy and it felt warm. The decor is dark and the dinning space is small. We waited in line for about 25 minutes to order our food because the young lady taking orders was also taking food out. We waited about an hour to get our food. My fiance and I ordered the Big Tex and Green seed burger because they were out of Latini paninnis. They tasted the same exept for the mustard and pickles. The cauliflower nuggets and dill cut fries were cold. The cool breeze juice was good and the hulk sweet blend was really good! Honestly, it was ok for a vegan place but I was expecting more for a $40 bill.
Vegan Soy free restaurants with deliscious food is hard to find in the Houston area!
My favorite order is Cali Burger with Dill Fries and I get an order of Aioli sauce on the side:
1.) Store front parking sucks, but there is public parking across the street so no big deal
2.) Their take out calling phone system isn't the best, it's takes way too long to get someone on the phone
I'm vegetarian so I love that green seed vegan has so many menu items to choose from. Unfortunately, the food just isn't as tasty as it looks. I had the Rockin' Tacos and Big Tex. The taco shell is just too sour, but the filling is pretty good. The Big Tex was bland despite having jalapeños inside. There may be better food there, but these two dishes were mediocre. I have to give it to the owners though for making such unique recipes that I haven't seen anywhere else.
My friend and I finally decided to give this place a try. We went on a weekday evening so it wasn't that busy and parking was decent. We walked in and began to analyze the menu; decided to get burgers since we heard so many good things about them. So we order our food, got our free cup of water and got a table.
Table was a bit dirty but it was ok since I wiped it off myself. The food arrives after a short wait and it looks very good!
Not enough fries in my opinion but the burger looked amazing! (I got the big Tex and she got the dirty burque for reference) also, I thought it was weird that there were no condiments readily available for use plus the free water container was so low that it eventually went out and I was stuck eating a very spicy burger and had a burning mouth for the next 20 minutes.
Also no a/c here just fans so the place can get a little hot and uncomfortable.
To wrap this up, it's a place to definitely try out but will not plan another visit anytime soon.
No one knows anything. I have been a few times to see if I just had an unlucky day but the place obviously has a communication issue with its employees, either that or the individual employees themselves don't care about their jobs. Regular menu items are often out of stock, and big surprise, they don't know when they'll get the ingredients for them. She told me it could take weeks to get some items back. It seems to me that if you know something is going to be unavailable that you would change your digital display menu to reflect that. After ordering a $100 juice cleanse, they told my wife to pick it up at 830pm. They close at 8. When my wife arrived no one was there and the doors were locked. When we came the next day they said that they were there until 9pm and "no one showed up for their juice." So not only are they ignorant of their day to day business, they are also lying to customers. I will not be coming back here. Oh and the food sucks.
The 3 day juice cleanse was so enjoyable and effective I continued for 2 weeks. The Evergreen juice first thing in the morning was just what I needed to give me a boost and continue throughout the day. I would recommend the juice cleanse to anyone feeling bloated or tired. The cleanse definitely helped me to get back on track to living a healthier life-style.
I love this place. I usually stop by to grab a smoothie or juice. Always nice. The philly portabella sandwich was really good.
Really cool vegan spot. Very cozy and relaxing while you listen to some funky soul jazz music . I had the hulk smoothie (sweet blends) which was amazing!!!! Omg the Big Tex 9 Burger relish also.
I wasn't hugely impressed with this spot. The juice was ok, not freshly made there, and my pb&p panini wasn't anything mind blowing or extraordinary and dill sweet potato fries. It was caramelised plantains with peanut butter and spinach in white bread. It lacked pizzazz and was boring (imo). I really thought it would have been a more interesting with some sort of a spin on it. The sweet potato fries were well.....just sweet potato fries. They weren't oily. Honestly I think my pb&j sandwiches I make at home are tastier. The best thing was the smoothie my husband got (hulk). Unfortunately, I won't be going here for food, maybe just the smoothies. #LocalGuides
The bbq jackfruit burger though! Every week I will try something new. The food is awesome, and the staff is super nice. Size is small so go during times thats not so busy if you prefer fast service.
Awesome vegan options on the menu with something for everyone. The big text burger was pretty good. The bun seemed fresh and toasted to perfection. The cauliflower nugget and fries are delic!
As far as customer service goes this place gets 0 stars. Dry and robot like. However, the food good and one of the few sole vegan restaurants in Houston so I come here often. My usual is the Cali burger and and dill fries although I do favor their tacos and salads as well. The smoothies are filling and I could have one as a meal on its own. Food wise Green Seed is hit.
VEGAN POST: The service is always very friendly and the food is best described as healthy comfort food. This is one if my most favorite places to eat because they make healthy food taste as good as junk food. I highly recommend the cauliflower nuggets as a side order to whatever you order.
This restaurants food has NO FLAVOR AT ALL. Ordered a wrap and when I opened it I came to the conclusion that they skimped me on veggies (1 tomato and 1 onion) to top everything off the wrap I ordered was all wrap with basically nothing on the inside. Very stingy with the portions. Great sweet potato fries though, and I'm only saying that because I like sweet potatoes 😐. Nice concept because being a vegan is become increasingly popular but everybody can't cook a good vegan or vegetarian meal without effing it up.
Awesome vegan place! They have a NACHO salad that's hearty and taste mhmm good!!
Absolutely delicious. Easy to forget that what you are eating is ultra healthy.
The food was so good, and the prices were definitely reasonable. Both cooked and raw options. Not your typical vegan restaurant.
Why do you need the brown paper covering the plate or bowl? Great way to INCREASE waste...
Wonderful food! Nice atmosphere. Great Service. Vegan. Live Fresh Food!
Great vegan food. Can be pricey. Customer service is often slow and needs overall improvement.
Great food! The smoothies and juices are delicious as well
Cauliflower nuggets are awesome!
A bit expensive.
Service is REALLY slow.
Seriously need to improve speed of service.
I called my order in today. After driving there(10mins) I arrived and waited 25mins for my order to be ready. I will not return.
Great eco friendly food and practices! They use environmentally friendly utensils and they recycle their plastic. This vegan restaurant is walking the walk. Feeding you healthy, delicious food, while saving animals and the environment all at the same time ❤
Amazing vegan food, wide selection of dishes. Moderately priced. Only complaint is that some of the options have small serving sizes.
Excellent food! Creative cute atmosphere. A great place to eat.
I like their fried chicken sandwich and the buffalo fries! It's my go to! I always want to try something new when I go, but every time I get the same thing!! I did taste my mom's bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious. I really liked the bacon! You can't really go wrong here. It's like soul-comfort-american food. SO GOOD!!
Delicious freaking food. It's small, it's pricey, but it's well worth the cost. Brilliant, lively vegan options- and I do mean options. The menu is diverse and the items we selected were top notch. 10/10 would dine again.
I mean. I won't, because it's in Houston, but that's it's only real fault.
I love the sweet potato fries. I loved the green mile blend. Awesome place with healthy food. They help keep the community healthy! That is what counts! Support this business! 😀😃😄
Fresh, vegan, delicious. Tried the chicken-fried cauliflower sandwich and the raw roll. Excited to try the rest of the menu
Every time I have gone here the food I have gotten has been extremely stingy. I got a rawritto yesterday which had close to absolutely nothing in it and was mostly just a collard leaf. It was like $9 not including the tip I gave. The time I went here before, the servings were also just ridiculous. I've wanted to open a raw cafe for a long time and it's experiences like these that encourage me even more. We need healthy restaurants which give you what you really pay for rather than a meal that couldn't even pass as the amount expected in an appetizer. These kinds of practices are extremely bad for business.
Great tasting food, excellent, knowledgeable, helpful staff! No fountain drinks, would be great if there were unsweetened tea available. Scary neighborhood, but worth the trip for sure. Will definitely return the next time I am in Houston. In a word.. yummy!
I love love love this place even though I'm very much NOT a vegan. The food is constantly amazing and so is everyone who works here. And the people who eat here cross all social, economic, and racial lines. Eat here often if you can. It's soooooo awesome!
Unexpected number and variety of vegan items (which took care of my usual complaint)! Plus, being in the museum district, it was convenient. My wife and I went on a Monday at about 3 PM, and it was comfortably busy. This being a small business, it added to the atmosphere to see one of the owners working there. We'll definitely be returning often.
Amazing food!! Super loved the plantain and chickpea panini ...so crispy and fresh. We went there twice during our trip to Houston. Loved the Jamaican twist to the food. Highly recommend!
This place is all Vegan and I love it! The service was exceptionally nice and patient even though they were pretty busy. Very visual and vibrant color inside the restaurant to create a very comfortable feeling. The food is amazing!!!! I had the Big Tex burger and my sister had the rocking tacos, plus we indulged with their homemade vegan brownies... The brownies are so so good! I would give it 10 stars if I could. If you are in Houston and want great and healthy food, you must come here!
I love the staff. I love the environment. I love the food. I love this place. When people ask where is my favorite place to eat this place is always number 1 ♡♡♡♡
Finally made it over to eat here and SO glad!!! We had the zen and big tex and both dishes were great!!! The place was comfortable and all the staff were very pleasant. Houston's vegan restaurants are few and far between so having such a great place like this is so positive. Thank you for a great and healthy dining experience.
Creative menu, good concept, I just wasn't pleased with the flavoring of the good & the lack of seasoning. I won't shame the place, it just wasn't for me.
I've had better, but I won't use this review to promote another business.
Been considering going vegan all year and after visiting Green Seed I can definitely see it becoming a reality! Great food, great portion and friendly staff overall a great experience
Amazing food, ambient vibes and atmosphere. Perfect to introduce someone to vegan cuisine! Delicious tacos!
The food was good the service was great. Gave them a five star because my mother had eating the Cali burgers and did not know their was no meat on her burgers. Lol
I love green seed, it's a really great place to go especially if you're feeling like something healthy and filling. Any of their sandwiches are great, and the atmosphere is really nice too.
I love this place, its very small inside. But the food is fast and soooo good. Who thought...try this place out. I like the large glass windows that are tinted. I like the being able to look out and just enjoy the view. Parking is very limited in the front. So you may have to part across the street to the left of the building. Also there is a travon Martin wall painting you can see from the side....I always enjoy gazing at it.
I hope this review helped. It was honest.
The food is amazing and 5-star, but having to listen to their too-loud jolting, brain-jarring noise passing as "music" is like being in hell! It hurt my ears even with earplugs in.
Hey guys, it's a place to eat and get some peace of mind, not a freaking night club. I don't care what music you like. Play it at home.
Decent food, decent prices. Typically your spending 10-11 (no drink). Burgers and food isn't life changing vegan food but definitely worth the trip especially for a quick bite.
Amazing experience! Everything on the menu is sublime and they have something for everyone. Even those of carnivorous persuasion would feel comfy here. All walks of life, anyone who chooses healthy delicious dining should give this spot a try.
The food was AMAZING!!!! Friendly and helpful staff. My family and I tried 4 different dishes there today and we loved them all!
Great food/Service , GREAT sweet potato fries. I’m not even vegan my girl is but it was still great. Highly recommend this place.
LOVE IT!!!! Food is always tasty yet never fresh unfortunately. The restaurant is small but clean. If you come during lunch hours you may have to wait around a bit for a table or order take out. I am a UH vegan student who comes here weekly. My favorites are the fungus amongus and big tex burgers. Their kale salad and sweet potato fries are delicious side pair alongs too. I wish the food was just more fresh and had a little more salt. The parking is a little tedious too. You may have to park across the street and walk a little. Prices are fair considering its an all VEGAN joint. I did wish they had happy hour.
This winter season they came out with a butter nut squash chili which is delicious and hearty too!
Good food. My gf is vegan so I came here with her at her request. Didn't know what to eat at first so I got a it of everything. It was all great. Totally a good option for non-vegans.
If I could give this place a 0 star I would!!!! I mean the vegan burgers were awful and we didn’t even get everything on the ticket, when asked for a refund or something different we were told that once we take a bite NO REFUNDS “you bite it you pay”, I guess if they can’t sell it to someone else then your stuck with it (FOOD RECYCLING)🙄!!! We were told it was policy but there was no “policy” in site....Horrible management! And for the items that we didn’t receive they kept trying to make us take them when we clearly stated we no longer wanted them....I don’t know if this is a broke and on the verge of bankruptcy company or just plain greedy, but if your looking for good customer service and good food this is NOT the place to go!
Amazing vegan/raw vegan restaurant. Little green building with poor signage but well-attended with a busy lunch rush. There's a parking lot across the street (off Wheeler?) that makes parking much easier. I love the cauliflower nuggets, Notyo Salad and Rockin Tacos.
Went here with another vegan and 2 non vegans. Everyone loved their food! The prices are definitely fair and the staff was very nice. They could use more visible signage, we passed right by it without seeing it, went up several blocks and turned around and finally found (hint hint buildasign . Com has GREAT prices on banners that could be permanently attached across front). I'm back home in Shreveport now and wishing I would have gotten something extra to go. Yummy food!
Healthy and good food . Friendly customer service and nice homey feel inside. They have good options and their fries are really good. We enjoyed the experience although only down side is the parking and the area . Definitely worth a try.
seriously, I don’t know why it took me so long to get here. it was a real treat. I can’t wait to return. the ambience was nice as you can tell from the photos. I’d gladly recommend this place to healthy and unhealthy eaters. Lol.
So amazed by the cool menu items! Seriously can’t wait to return!
Very, very kind and helpful staff. Helped with suggestions. Also a perfect place to meet other like minded individuals. Dinner was amazing and so was the staff. Hope to return very soon.
I eat here at least 3 times a week. Friendly staff, fast service and excellent food. Great to have vegan choice.
There's nothing bad to say about Green Seed Vegan. NO. THING. The food? Delicious. The staff? Amazing. The establishment? Conscious and clean. There aren't very many all vegan restaurants in the city, but this one is undeniably the greatest. But don't just take my word for it, GO.
Delicious food, great customer service, scrumptious drinks, and an all around great experience for everyone. There is limited parking in the main lot but theres an extra lot across the street.
I highly recommend the cauliflower nuggets! 😍😍😍so yummy😍😍😍
Very small cute little vegan food place. Food is expensive, but very good. Can become overcrowded pretty quick, but there is also outside sitting. You walk in and order, then pick a seat and sit down.
I came into Green Seed Vegan for probably the first time in about a year the other day after a charity basketball game, knowing this visit had been long overdue. As a former resident of Truxillo now transplanted out of the heart of city for work purposes, to me, nothing epitomizes Houston cuisine and culture quite like this restaurant. This is a wholesome establishment that doesn’t take itself too serious, yet takes great pride in the food they serve. It’s a subtle reminder that good, kind-hearted, genuine people exist in a culinary world sometimes dominated by greed and corporate interests. Thank you Green Seed Vegan for making Houston a better place one meal at a time.
I am not a vegan. But the food here is awesome. I only give it 4 stars because it is a little overpriced. But I come here because it is so satisfying...
They go above and beyond customizing your meal to your preference (which I'm sure with a vegan crowd you draw a lot of people with preferences).
Their portabello mushrooms are a great addition to almost anything they sell.
It’s delicious! The best vegan restaurant in town. I highly recommend it to any who loves good vegan food. The only thing is that they close at 8. It’s hard to get there when getting off work. If they closed at 9, I would 100% go more often.
This was a nice way to change up lunch. They have a pretty decent menu for paninis, sandwiches and juices/smoothies. I got the Cali, which is fried cauliflower and it was really good. The parking is limited but street parking is easy to find and close. It was pretty warm in the restaurant. Fans were going to help but the AC wasn't keeping it as cool as most places. Definitely a place I'd recommend
Wow! Words can’t explain how amazing this food is! I got the “friend chicken Cali,” which is made with cauliflower. I can’t believe I’m actually saying that I am so impressed. It’s my first time trying something that tasted like actual chicken. And to be honest, I got over chicken a long time ago. But who doesn’t love fried food? Haha.
I’m definitely on a new level. 👌
This rating is based solely on the food. It by far exceeded my expectations. I had the Cali with sweet potato fries. Amazing! I also tried the cauliflower nuggets. Superb!
Love the food, service, EVERYTHING!
I usually get the Latini sandwich and cauliflower nuggets. The smoothies are awesome too!
It’s a pretty cool atmosphere inside with always a very diverse crowd and that family-owned-restaurant feel.
They are literally on the corner, literally. Parking is very narrow. If you live or work nearby, it would be better to walk. Very small location with cute, refreshing decor. It's like a modern "mom & pop" shop. They have plenty of liquid or solid food options. Very unique food menu. I tried the "Illy Cheesesteak" with zucchini bacon and avocado. It was delicious and very filling.
Love this place. Best vegan option inside the loop. Almond joy is a must. Order ahead as wait for your food can be long. Order ahead eve n if you plan to eat there.
Found this place off of happy cow and since I am trying to adopt this new way of eating decided to give a try best off it's rave reviews. The location is exactly on the corner of Wheeler/Alabama. Parking is very limited. Now for the reason I came. I wanted a burger and fries so I was told the Cali Burger was one great option that newbies have tried. So I offered that with the dill sweet potato fries. I love cauliflower anyway but how this Burger was prepared this was definitely a good sandwich it is similar to eating a regular beef Burger just without the animal. The fries they are so delicious and I did not feel badd after eating this meal, I actually felt nourished in a little energized. I look forward to going back and trying many other things on their menu. The meals their prices did seem very reasonable.
Love Green Seed... stop by for my Beets juice, they carry other varieties of juices as well...My favorite eat is their Big Burger, the mushroom burger the Mega salad is also one of my selection off their menu of many variety to chose from.. I love this place... Compared to some of the other so called Vegan place this one in definitely hold up it end of the bargain.
Busy little place with a BIG personality... the food was well worth the wait. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Limited seating so get there early and the building is green but the sign is small.
Workers gave excellent service and the food was great. You'd enjoy it vegan or not. A positive, healthy ethos.
Kinda crowded each time I've gone there. Unclear about whether the parking across the street is available to customers or not. Always hot and humid, no different inside or outside. Please get stronger working air conditioning.
An oasis in the middle of grimy urban area. Raw pressed juices every morning.
Wheatgrass shots served here. Vegan pastries offered. Good jazz playing softly in the background. Four stars due to limited parking. Peace.
The food was great! I am a meat-eating Texan, but was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful seasoning of the food. Will definitely return, I am trying to eat healthier. The prices are reasonable as well.
Where do I even start? Well first I've seen some people complaining that there isn't parking or that the parking is very limited. About 30 feet to the side of the building is free public parking. Easy to access and not sketchy looking. So now on to the food. Everything is vegan. Lots of options including raw meals and deserts. My family and I had cauliflower bites, sweet potato fries, french fries, the Cali burger, notyo (nacho) salad, and rocking tacos. Everything was amazing. The cauliflower bites and fries had a perfect crunch. The cauliflower came with a nice, tasty sauce. I'm not sure what it is made of but tastes really good. The building is also really nice inside. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone, vegan, vegetarian, or meat eater. 5/5
Food was excellent but pricey! Smoothie was very bland also.... ended up giving it back because we weren’t going to pay $6 for it to not have much flavor... but otherwise it was great service! We came with a big group and he was on top of it!
We absolutely loved it! We decided to try the BOMBAY and the GARDEN FRESH (with a side of DILL FRIES) paninis and they were amazing! They were both very tasty. Will definitely comeback again.
LOVED this place. The food was really great and it’s one of the only places in Houston with a large Vegan selection. There are a variety of paninis, sandwiches, burgers, elixirs, smoothies, and other options! It’s a rather big menu! The Hulk smoothie was one of the best smoothies I’ve ever had and the Chicken(Cauliflower) sandwich was really good.
The service was great. The food was fresh and it came out within 5 minutes. The building is small, but the place was full - without a line! I drove 35 minutes for some good Vegan food and I was definitely impressed. Will return!
Food was excellent! The wraps are amazing and brownie one of the best I've ever had. The place will need to expand soon as it is tiny but packed full of customers. Also loved the wide variety of menu items. My only complaints are that there is no sign outside indicating the restaurant, the inside and parking lot lighting is poor, and no online or paper menus at the restaurant. Still, I enjoyed the experience and I can't wait to go bk!
This place is different in a good way. The restaurant offers so many choices for vegans. I was amazed of how many people ate here. Consider this place when you are in the area. I am going back soon with friends.
This restaurant was delicious! I took my non vegan brother and his girlfriend with me to eat at this restaurant for the first time, and they LOVED IT! All of the food tasted so fresh and is seasoned well. We all ordered different menu items and each dish was delicious. I would definitely recommend to both vegans and meat eaters.
Great food and great atmosphere. Very unique with wildly flavorful vegan food. Hard to find places like this but green seed is amazing.
Just began my journey as a vegan and this place has the best vegan options and the food and service are excellent! I had a vegan burger and sweet potato fries and i must say it was by far the best burger i have had anywhere. Cant wait to try another dish today.
This place was a great little gem that we weren't expecting to find. The breaded cauliflower sandwich was so good, I nearly got a second one. We tried one of each dessert and they were all great. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Another delicious Vegan place! So happy I went! Small and comfy place to meet up, and enjoy a meal!
The food here was amazing! There's not much parking and service was a bit slow, but it was definitely worth it. I had the zen panini with sweet potato fries. The fries were some of the best I had.
It was so great, staff was friendly and attentive and the food was served fresh and in a short time after ordering.
Great for vegans and vegetarians alike as well as people looking to try out amazing vegan cuisine, and who may be thinking about transitioning to a plant based diet.
The food was good enough to convert me, and I was already a vegan!
The food is delicious! I had the Cali with the dill fries. I also had the blueberry lemon cheesecake which was SO good. Service was great too. I would definitely return. Only gave 4 stars because parking is really limited.
Small gem! Delicious vegan and soy free food! Customer service is okay. Parking is tight and limited. I would highly recommend this place. I took my brother, that is not vegan, and he enjoyed his meal!
When I shared with my uncle that I wanted good food without the hassle, he immediately said I got you. The Cali sandwich was filling and had the type of flavor I expect from a traditional chicken sandwich. The dill fries were also good. Would definitely recommend this place for something quick, chill, and good.
One of the better and older vegan places in the city, mostly southern comfort food-style. Free parking across the street that no one ever seems to notice so they always squeeze into the tiny spaces on the lot. Prices are a bit high for the portion size but it's vegan food so what do you expect. Their ingredients are always fresh and amazing. Be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes if there's a crowed though. Has take-out.
Great place and atmosphere. No self parking. Prices are reasonable but pricey compared to comparable. Food was excellent. Service was the best, but for these prices it better be. I will come back...!!!
I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian but I was on a month fast consisting of vegetables and fruits only so I decided to give this place a try. My taste buds didn't quite like the food. However the atmosphere and costumer service was great.
I am a frequent customer of Greenseed Vegan. Food is always fresh and the staff is very helpful and nice. I love the tonics and also the shakes. I come here at least once a week. I highly recommend this place
From the outside I did not think this was a place to eat. Read the reviews, which were good, so I decide to go in. The place looks NOTHING like the outside and the food was delicious!!! Had the Cali and sweet potato fries. Fresh, hot and hit the spot! Definitely on the return list
Very nice began restaurant. Doesn't look like much outside and is diner style inside. I enjoyed the decorations personally. Food was very good. Chef knows flavour well. Tried three different items, 2 sandwiches with plantains on which were unusual bur good. Plus one burger with fried cauliflower which we loved. Sides were good too. We didn't take desert because the cost of the main meal was quite high. How high is unclear because we didn't know if it was organic or not. If organic the price was fair. Overall though this is a great stop for any vegan.
Eccentric, excellent choice for vegan. We will bring friends and family next visit! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and quaint dining inside and out. You will enjoy the Cali burger and dill sweet potato fries.
Wonderful location, easily accessible from the street, very friendly & knowledgeable staff. The variety of food & juices is fantastic!! The food is outstanding & seasoned to perfection!! I highly recommend Green Seed Vegan your mouth & belly will thank you.
Super yummy! Such a variety of items to get and they’re all amazing! The people there (staff & other customers) are all super cool and nice. My favorite place to go and at a super convenient location near the museum district!!!
I enjoyed this place. It is cute and has a lot of good options. I like that they have raw options. We will definitely come again. Good service and fair prices.
Very hippie joint, but the food is great. I drive 30 miles just to eat here. The food is tasty and surprising not as expensive as most vegan restaurants I've been to. Most definitely recommend this place.
I'm not vegan, but if I was this would be my top hang out. It's ultra-chic. But, don't let the smooth taste fool you. Their prices are very reasonable for what they are selling.
Excellent food. Loved this gem of a place in a bit older neighborhood (near Peggy Park). Lots of business and the reason is the friendly and excellent customer service and the great food. Had the Green Seed Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and it was the best meal in my four day visit to Houston. Also lucked out they had some of the Blueberry vegan Cheesecake: oh so yummy! I really hope the restaurant does well and stays here for many many years.
Parking lot is small and parking is tight so be prepared. Food was good but not remarkable, service was very good. A little on the pricey side compared to what I'm used to. Has a trendy vegan vibe. I'd go again but wouldn't drive out of my way to get there.
I had the mega greens salad. It is so green. They also add micro greens to it, and also sprouted black quinoa! Awesome! Where can you go that gives you sprouted foods! That is absolutely over the top! God bless you guys!
The service is awesome. The food is great. My friend also had a veggie barbecue burger. It was good too, I tried a small piece. But the mega green salad was absolutely amazing.
I also had a lemon ginger green juice too. It was powerful!
Really wanted this to be a great spot especially since it is black owned but the customer service needs a great deal of work especially the main girl in the front who is always there (haven't been there in a couple months so not sure if she still works there or not but I would assume so because she seemed to be the primary employee). Leave messages for a response by manager/owner but no response received. Some items are good while others are not. The decor is warm but the parking is bad even where the girl in the front will stop taking orders to harass you for temporarily parking to grab a to-go order. I used to patronize frequently but stopped patronizing for the reasons above. If I hear things change, I may revisit one day again.
WHAT CAN I SAW ABOUT THE PLACE THE FIRST ENHANCED MY VEGAN DIET. PRIOR TO GREEN SEED MY DIETARY PALETTE WAS SO DULL. I DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I WOULD LAST. I HAD ACCEPTED THAT FOOD WOULD NEVER BE GOOD AGAIN, THEN CAME THE GREEN FOOD TRUCK. THE CLOUDS PARTED AND THE HEAVENS OPENED AND I COULD EAT GREAT FOOD ONCE AGAIN. EATING WAS FUN, NON-VEGANS LOVED IT AS MUCH AS I DID. THE MENU HAS A WONDERFUL ASSORTMENTS FOR ALL TYPES AND LIKES. SINCE I FIRST DINED WITH THEM WAIT TIME HAS GREATLY IMPROVED WITH MORE PEOPLE IN THE KITCHEN, GO SIT DOWN, TAKE A LOAD OFF, AND ENJOY.

Absolutely delicious!!! The staff was friendly and service was quick. I’d definitely go back if I’m Houston again someday.
Being a Vegetarian in Houston isn’t as hard as I thought it would be with places like Green Seed. I wish the food had a little more flavor but it’s definitely not bad at all. The juices and smoothies are really good and fresh
Very slow service. Waited for my smoothie about 25 minutes and there was only 3 other people in the restaurant. Good food except the Tacos were a bit bitter. Other then that it was a good decent place.
When I saw the hamburger stand across from my old high school was now a vegan spot, I had to check it out. And I am so glad I did. Far too often you read glowing reviews of vegetarian/vegan places from vegetarian and vegans about how wonderful a place is only to learn that are maybe ok at best, and more an attempt to have people eat at a certain place because of the lifestyle. Yet, as a meat eater, let me say the Cali Burger I had at Green Seed Vegan, I would prefer over most hamburgers from most places. Also there's a comfortable feel to the place, good music playing, and a friendly staff.
The feeling of this place is nice and cozy. They have cool music playing and the menu looks very enticing. That being said one the food came and we tasted it, all of us were very disappointed. The food lacked flavor and the sandwiches were mainly bread. The service was exceptional and the staff is very kind. Not worth the price for the quality.
Great food - I had the Notyo salad and Cali nuggets. I drank the all green everything. Wow mouth was amazed with the food and drink was refreshing. I will be back. Note park across the street easier.
The pressed sandwiches & fresh juice was so good! Atmosphere is nice. Owners / employees? were really nice too.
I thought the cauliflower was very tasty... I also ended up having the same thing as a burger, but cauliflower patty, which was also good. The fries were excellent and fresh-cut. My girlfriend got the Big Tex burger, which neither of us liked. We didn't care for the flavor of the patty.
Great menu! It was hard to choose one. The cashier recommended me the most popular salad: Notyo Salad ($9) and I chose Green Mile super blend smoothie ($7). Both are very tasty! 😋
I liked this place😊
This spot is my favorite vegan cafe in Houston.
Everything is vegan and about a third of the menu items are completely RAW as well. They serve juice too. I recommend it all!
I ordered 2 cauliflower burgers and 2 sweet potato fries $4 each. Total was about $24 something. (Overpriced). The sweet potato fries portion was exceptionally small. Like really really small, I thought my sister ate more than half of my fries when she brought it to me.
Food was okay. Nothing special. I'm surprised by the high ratings. I'll give it one more try just to see what I missed.
I had the Cali sandwich and dill fries. Both were delicious, but I was disappointed in the serving size of the fries for $3. It was like a small size fry from McD's. Overall, it's a cute spot, staff had on masks and I'd probably return and recommend to friends.
First time visiting this restaurant from out of town. The food here absolutely delicious and the service is great! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! #Namaste
This place is my new favorite vegan spot in Houston.
I have loved everything i have tasted.
