We stayed here this past weekend for my birthday celebration with my boyfriend!! First and foremost Anissa was so very helpful and accommodating, as soon as we arrived to check in she greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming, she also wished me a happy birthday, a birthday card and $30 for drinks or food at the hotel! Our room was amazing! Everything was clean and any issue we had it was resolved quickly without any hesitation! Hyatt definitely aims to please and is all about impeccable customer service!!! Every single person that assisted us or helped with any questions were awesome! I definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting or just doing a staycation like we did. Great customer service, Great atmosphere!!!
I loved the fact that you can access the downtown tunnels right from inside the hotel! Great perk! The pool was a great place to relax and catch some sun on Houston's searing hot summer days. My only real complaint was that I had to walk in the heat to catch the rail line, but a pizza bagel from Mr. Einstein's bagels was a wonderful smack for the walk.
Conveniently located hotel in Houston. Clean rooms but the Air conditioning motor, In some rooms is too noisy. About 75 decibels, equivalent to a phone ring tone. Having said all this the staff and quality of breakfast at the Shula's Steak house is caring and professional. I am Vegan but this did not stop the chef, 'Ms Autumn' in creating a tasty meal. I would like to thank the waitress Ms Alvina for her unselfish service.
Place is huge. Staff very friendly and good. The rooms were kept very clean.
There's also a pool open 6am till 10pm and a gym open 24/7.
Rooms come with TV ,ironing board, kettle and some coffee. There's also room service if you require.
Some things I didn't like; the shower head is too low, it's fine if your under 5.10 ft otherwise you'll be squatting. There's complementary tea and coffee but there's no milk and the there's only one tea bag (for an Englishman this is upsetting). There's no breakfast option so you'll have to try one of the restaurants in the lobby area.
Other than those small issues I had a great stay and would recommend it.
Downtown Houston. Great location. Easy access to public transportation and other restaurants. Rooms are bigger than usual ones andhas a 55' TV. A coffee maker includes in all rooms. Services is not exceptional. However the staff is friendly.
My wife and I stayed overnight for a last-minute getaway for my birthday. Upon noticing it was my birthday at check-in wished me a happy birthday. When we got back from dinner there was a hand-written card from Alexandria as well as some champagne. It was incredibly thoughtful and kind, and absolutely made our night. Thank you, Alexandria.
This place has something amazing around every corner. From the incredulous balcony surrounding the lobby, you can see the aesthetics floating from the bar, to the restaurants, to the modernly classy looking front desk. I had to take extra trips up and down the elevators to watch the world pass by through the open glass wall. Beautiful hotel.
Beautiful 30 floor hotel in the heart of Houston a few blocks away from all amenities. Glass elevators going up the inside and outside of the buildings. Not for the faint hearted! The pool on the 6th floor was well maintained, warm with adequate loungers and nice towels. Pool bar on site. Einstein Brothers Bagel shop open 24hrs with great choices and quite reasonable prices. Cute little gift shop with reasonably priced items.
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency as part of a conference group at the convention center. The double room was ok. Beds are only full size. Nice large 55" TV was nice. Room had a decent layout. On-site restaurants were quick, food was good & priced well.
Just finished my 2 night stay and I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. Valet service was excellent and check in was so easy. Staff very friendly and the whole atmosphere felt great. Location was great and very easy to access 45 North. Rooms were a good size and the beds felt great. I can see myself coming back in the future
Location was within a 15 minute walking distance to the theater district. It is also connected to the underground network, which is a nice way to navigate the city when it's raining. Was a little disappointed that the rooftop restaurant was not open when we were there. The hours are quite condensed. The room was fairly basic. It did have a nice TV and came with a fridge. The AC unit was a little loud, but it kept the room at the desired temperature. Overall, I would stay again. Staff were nice and polite.
I am beyond disappointed. I came 7 months pregnant with a toddler for my husbands work trip. The staff is utterly unhelpful. I have to call multiple times or chase them down in the hall to find out they don’t speak English. I’ve had to wait hours to have my room cleaned or trash taken out. It’s supposed to be a smoke free facility and smoke is entering into my room as me and my toddler have to breathe it in. The bathroom ceiling is leaking over the bathtub in multiple (at least 3) places. This hotel has no continental breakfast and is about as far away from family friendly as one can get. The floors were soaked yesterday as my son and I entered and a lady had to warn us because there is no sign. There are currently also doing construction on everything. Do you and your family a huge favor and stay somewhere else.
The Hyatt is a beautiful property that's been well updated and still feels new. The incredible atrium with glass elevators is always a nice experience. I've never stayed here, but have visited a few times for business functions. The catering was tasty and service was excellent.
Clean, interesting and convenient. Drawbacks are high cost of lodging, food and drinks. Hotel staff were fantastic but bar staff left much to be desired. Very slow response time and missed parts of our order. Tunnel access to multiple other buildings adds to the convenience. Despite the high levels of ambient noise in the core of the building the rooms were plenty quite. Recommended if a stay downtown is required.
Beautiful hotel which was surprisingly quiet. The restaurant offered a good breakfast selection and the staff were very good about being conscientious to specific dietary needs. Einstein Brothers Bagels is built in and open 24 hours per day to help meet your needs no matter your hectic schedule. Staff were always friendly and professional.
I was rather disappointed in this Hyatt hotel. The room was rather drab and the mattress was very old and lumpy! Definitely not something I was expecting from a Hyatt Regency!
On the plus side the staff was kind and professional, the breakfast buffet at Shula's was a good value and the downtown location was central to many of the sights Houston has to offer.
Location downtown is great. It's got a dedicated entrance to the Houston Tunnels so you could easily walk to a good selection of restaurants, services, and the major office buildings.
The room was okay, and had a complete set of amenities. If housekeeping missed anything, they are quick call away and promptly deliver your request to your room.
Note that if you have items shipped to the hotel, a handling fee will apply (~$10) per package - price varies with weight of package.
Room service includes a significant service charge, so might be more economical to just dine in at the restaurant or 24H coffee shop in the lobby. Breakfast at their restaurant is good, I particularly liked their buttery pancakes.
Great location in business area with direct access to the Houston tunnels... don’t know what that is? Check it out before you go and don’t worry about getting lost on it! There’s always a way out! ;) really kind staff, good restaurant and nice beers selection at the lobby bar. Breakfast is good but better are the beagles at the southern beagle local shop at the lobby left side! Just be aware, if you’re smoker and wanna get out the hotel for a cigarette at night, don’t get too far from the entrance.... Houston unfortunately has lots lots of homeless around and they might be a bit threatening when you get out the hotel perimeter at night. Nothing to scare, just to be mindful about. Love that place. Architecture of the building itself is got me in love since I saw it the first time. Love waking up, opening curtains and feeling in a skyscraper in between other buildings as tall!
Not in the heart of nightlife, but perfect for downtown office. The on-site restaurants are perfect. The bed was one of the best I've had (I don't like them too soft). Got some great recommendations for food in the area.
Clean 5 star establishment. Great courteous staff. Spotless restrooms. Comfortable waitng lobby. There's food and drink areas. Exceptional venue...
Didn't actually stay there as I was helping set up for the Thanksgiving day parade floats. Stepped in to their coffee shop. Employees were attentive to my needs and were a great help. By the way, delicious coffee!!!!
