Great place amazing art
Excellent shopping experience
Stopped by the store to find a Sekhmet artifact of some sort for my boyfriend. This store is like stepping into another world; the music, the scents, the colors, the textures- only thing missing is food! The owner, Pop, was wonderful with me. He was very patient with me as I kept being indecisive with making a choice between buying the Sekhmet statue or the Sekhmet papyrus with hieroglyphs painted onto it. In the end I chose the Papyrus and framed it. It came out beautifully. I will certainly be going back.
The owner is amazing and I can't even tell you how blessed my family and I are having met him! Also he is very wise. I encourage everyone to see this place. I got a hand painted shirt from Africa! I'm honored to have it! Nothing but good comes from this place they have helped me get through a rough time in my life and I am blessed to have met them.
Pretty cool place, friendly staff too.
This place still had stuff from the 70"s when it opened. Dusty
Nice authentic pieces here
This place has a heart for people and culture. It truly shows. Great quality goods and authentic artifacts.
Most friendly staff I've ever came across! Will be back ! Love house of Africa ❤
Went by today around 4, it was suppose to close @ 8:00, but it had already closed.
The best authentic African wares. Pap is the best curator of authentic works and originated the June Teenth celebration
Cool spot with authentic pieces, too many cats running around the store. They are walking and jumping on the merchandise. Ijs everybody,' don't like cats or dogs.. And a lil dusty.
What to say. I love it. I visit often. He has authentic merchandise and a lot of beautiful art work.
Great place to go if you are looking for some African art pieces. The owner is very knowledgeable about African Art and culture
Beautiful shop, friendly staff. My first visit but, I'll be going back.
GREAT PLACE TO VISIT. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. AUTHENTICITY IS IMPECCABLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT IS HIGHLY RELAXING AND ENJOYABLE. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND ENCOURAGE ALL TO ATTEND EVEN IF YOU PURCHASE NOTHING, TAKE A MOMENT TO BE DELIGHTED IN THE ATMOSPHERE.
My favorite go to spot for sage, home decor, African prints and all things black!
The items in there are incredible, and they all have amazing history. The owner is very knowledgable.
Authentic African...culture this place is a wonderful place. I hope everyone not just African descendants travel to this store.
Love it wonderful! Go visit you will feel as if your in Africa surrounded by all the beautiful art, and statues jewelry. If you can't make it to Africa uncle Pap will bring Africa to you!
I relocated from DC and needed real black soap and creamy yellow shea butter. HOA had just what I needed but was gravely expensive. In DC i get 3 times as much product with more variety than I did at HOA.
When I go back to DC I will load up on my essentials there in bulk I just cant see myself paying their prices for less product.
My daughter and I absolutely love this place. The owner is so friendly and helpful. He is also very knowledgable about the culture of Africa. I highly recommend this place.
Great Customer Service EVERY time I visit. They have phenomenal attire, headwear, merchandise, jewelry, body oil, and much more! I visit The House Of Africa a few times a month. I highly recommend that store.
This place has Great soaps and dresses.
While I am certain House of Africa is everything the customers say it is, I've tried to visit several times during their posted business hours and they were closed. I'm sitting in front of the establishment now 12/1/18 11:30 am, and again they are not open.
I love this place! Cant wait to go back!
Love the raw shea butter and African soap!
I would have loved to have seen what this store had to offer, as I was shopping for a birthday gift for someone who likes the african jewelry. Look online, check the hours, they're open. Drive 30 minutes across town, arrive at the location to find the doors locked. I call, standing right in front of the door. I get voicemail. 🤬🤬
Go around the corner to the Jamaican store, they say the owner of house of Africa has been in Africa for the last month. WHAT?? No sign on the door , nothing. Typical. Just what I expected from this type of establishment.
I always enjoy going to the House of Africa
House of Africa has been around forever and can you believe this was my first time stepping foot in this store. My mother comes here a lot to buy earrings...read this and 7 more
