How would you rate Habesha?
Wonderful food, great prices, kind owners. Great options for Ethiopian food. I loved their coffee as well.
We enjoyed the diner and the Ethiopian music videos playing on the TV. Authentic Ethiopian coffee kept us up until 11 p.m.!
We had the veggie platter and it was more than the two of us could finish. Very tasty.
If there were 10 stars, this place deserves it. I have had Ethiopian food in many different places from NYC to California. Habesha is by far the best one so far. Whenever we are in the mood for Ethiopian, we think of trying others in the area but the heart takes us here. So good! The meat platters are full of flavor and I have never had vegetarian food that tastes so good. I am a full blown meat eater but I can ditch that for the veggie platter here. The only sad part is that it is not in the most swanky part of town and looks like a hole in the wall from outside. Service can take some time but they cook everything from scratch. Food is top notch!
Lay back and enjoy it
First timers to Ethiopian food and it was delicious! The food and coffee are to be recommemded.
Best ethiopian in cincy for us. We have been to several. 2 adults and 2 children eat for $12 plus gratuity. Service isnt always stellar but the staff is attentive and friendly.
Excellent injera! All the vegetables were great. I can't say anything about the meat dishes as I didn't have them.
Service a bit slow at the start but the food was AMAZING!! Had the vegetarian sampler and loved everything on it!
Wonderful delicious Ethiopian food and warm friendly service to match the great food.
I visited two times & I recommend everyone to experience what a wonderful time I had. They provide best service, quality of food, very comfortable & clean place, price is very decent, the food is on point . The owner made sure we had everything. I love everything from test of the food to an amazing service. Thank you !!!!!
We had a great time. The service was quick and delightful. The food was great and we met some great people.
This place is wack and has such a disgusting costomer service. The customer service is so arogant and refused to serve me. So they do not deserve to run such a business.
Habesha delivered everything I hoped for and more throughout our time there. The hospitality is palpable, and the food is enchanting. I'll definitely be marking this place for future Cincinnati visits!
PS: Our server just handroasted coffee beans over a fire ten feet away from our table. A+
Very flavorful food, many choices. Attractive decor
It's great seeing the new array of worldly cuisine coming to the west side and I really wanted to like this place. However, one tiny little chicken leg (not exaggerating) in a small dish of sauce really shouldn't be sold at entree prices.
Very good food, excellent vegetarian platter for sharing, spicy beef very good.
You eat with your fingers and get great coffee. What more can be said? Delicious spices.
This is exactly what I was looking for in Ethiopian food - perfection. The people were lovely and friendly. Chill atmosphere. Great music. I am so happy we came here.
Went there this week for dinner. When I arrived I had to wait like 5 minutes to get seated. There was no host/waitress in the front. Placed my order then went to the rest room to wash my hands. Saw 2 DEAD ROACHES on the floor which kinda made me lose my appetite BUT when I did eat my food it was so delicious. The veggie combo didnt come with a salad which is not what I had at other ethi/eri places but the dish did fill me up. Overall experience was just ok. Will not go back.
Great food and service. Call before you go as hours are unreliable (many times closed when they should be open, hence 4 stars).
Family owned restaurant and the proprietor/waiter is super nice and welcoming The food is excellent. We had a vegetarian and a beef with green peppers dish and the flavors were different, complementary and delicious. BYOB.
Fun crowd and fresh food this last visit.
The building: 3/5
While the service and restaurant as a whole could use some work, the food alone makes it all worthwhile.
If you are new to this type of food, I recommend ordering "The combo". It's a great mix of different items and a humongous plate of bread. The bread here is unlike any eastern Naan or western loaf. It's a spongey, greyish, masterpiece!
Also, another reccomendation, order the traditional coffee. It costs $10 and comes with 4 small cups, but it is entirely worth it. They use fresh coffee beans over a fire and creates a beautiful aroma around the restaurant.
Really good Ethiopian food !
Portions are pretty large and quite filling. Tasty !!
The best Ethiopian food in town. We went on a Saturday night and it was great. Their main entree is a special mixed platter, and we ordered the special Ethiopian coffee after. They made it traditionally, my friend and I have never had coffee that good! It felt like a quiet and intimate place. We will go back for sure.
