How would you rate Grooves of Houston Restaurant & Bar?
I like to come here mostly on Fridays, thats what they consider "Free Fridays". Everybody gets in free all night, drink specials are $.75 from 5-11 i think, then its $5 you call its too. Great atmosphere, its basically all hip hop, rap, a little r&b too. Mixed aged crowd, but it is 21 & up. They also have food and hookah, they recently remodeled and got new items like the larger couches and electric hookahs. The hookah is great! Reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because sometimes the bartenders make the drinks TOO strong, especially the $.75 ones, i like to drink, but every sip i don't want to twist my face up from it because i taste nothing but liquor, and if you tell them, a few get aggravated, but if I'm paying for it, it needs to be done right. Other than that, its a really nice club, on Saturdays too.
***Review is for Sunday Jazz Brunch***
This is one of those places you drive up to and think, "Am I in the right place?" but then you enter and BAM! Full of life!
First, I don't normally comment on staff because I care more about the food, but I must say the staff is SO friendly and fantastic and works as a team - the hostesses, waiters and busboys are all going out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. And they acted happy to take our living social coupon and yelp checkin rather than annoyed as many are...
Second, $1 mimosas!! (Check in and get yummy bellini).
Buffet is huuuuuge; don't miss the country sausage, french toast casserole, cabbage, chicken tenders, twice baked taters and homemade banana pudding.
Live jazz band is terrific and makes for wonderful atmosphere - you'll be hard-pressed to find a similar atmosphere elsewhere in Houston.
Many seem to reserve tables, but 2 can easily get in with just a short wait at the bar without one. Many were dressed up a bit and seemed to come from church, but you'll still fit in with jeans.
The security guard let a few people in with hats. When we got the line my two friends couldn't get in.
I enjoy coming to Grooves, but I absolutely DO NOT recommend purchasing a table or section with them. After I enjoyed my night at the club, they made two charges on my account thinking that it was an accident I called the club. The lady I spoke with told me that this always happens, the money should be back in my account in a day or so. The money is still not returned, and I have filed a claim as we speak to get it back. The workers were absolutely no help in resolving this matter. Please be wary of purchasing a section with them. Use cash.
Can only go 3 because I never been in there but, from the outside it appears to be safe and a good time. Love that music and the beautiful ladies.
Great place to visit very grown an sexy yu want regret
My review is only based upon a Friday evening happy hour. The place is a good size, music was good, mature crowd, and food and drinks were reasonably priced AND good. My only complaints would be VERY limited seating, female bartender was very short and not very attentive, and they held more funds on my bank account than I had actually spent. It cleared correctly, however.
Overall a nice spot to experience!
Throughly enjoyed myself! Going to just this spot alone would make me move to Houston!MY type of professional atmosphere! THIS IS THE GROWN FOLK HANG OUT!
One of my favorite spots the DJ is always jammin drinks are to high if u a drinker.
They charge certain people $20 to $30 dollars to get inside of her on Friday nights after 9p.m. do to the way they are dress and it suppose to be free on Friday night.... This place is just like the Gaslamp was downtown....
Enjoy going to this Night Club. Had a party here recently and really enjoyed it. Great music although it can get a little crowded at times. We had purchased a VIP Section it was nice and came with a Bottle of our choice. As well they have Hookahs you can rent which makes for a great time. A little on the expensive side but free on Fridays to get in on normal nights free before like 10 and $20 after. No Dress Code for Ladies, but Dress code for guys is enforced or they will up charge you to get in. A little on the up scale newer generation side Hip Hop & R&B Side. Drinks are pretty good as well.
Check out Happy Hour on Fridays. $.75 drinks and good music. Get there early and stay until late.
Rude staff very disrespectful very racial if u are Hispanics or any other race then black they will not let u in sad to see a racist club in houston in 2016. Nothing but trash and cars and broken bottles every where u park and even drunk guys walking in the street doing drugs in front of a church. Sad
Grooves I'd a cool spoy. Especially for happy hour! Yessir....
I went out on a Saturday, so there is a charge at the door. I rode a party bus, so I don't know about parking. When I arrived, the line was packed, and so was inside! Sections are small, barely capable of holding the 10 person limit. I myself was with a section and we had this issue.
I enjoyed myself because the music and atmosphere was ideal for my expectations for that night. It was body to body with beautiful well dressed ppl everywhere. My problem surfaced with aforementioned sections. The way it was set up, you couldn't distinguish where one sections began or ended, and since it was body to body that made it worse.
Unfortunately there was an officer who was feeling herself, so she threw me out for standing on the outskirts of two sections.. smh. Ending my evening.
Other then that issue, I thought it was a nice club if you like that fish in a barrel type atmosphere. If not, Saturday night is not the night for you
I paid for a table and they had the audacity to ask my guests for entry! "D" the woman I made my reservation with specifically stated that it included entry for my guests as would be expected when hundreds of dollars are spent.
Your shady business practices will catch up to you. Don't worry, these dollars in my purse will never be spent within your walls again!
Attended on a Saturday night. Was supposed to have free entry with RSVP, but they asked for an email confirmation that was never received ( and I don't believe was ever intended to be). They charged $10 each. The seating is so limited we felt pressure to buy a $75 table that was squished against another table. It was a decent place, but the DJ was subpar. Hate played a some of old hits and a bunch of trap music. REALLY???. I know I'm in the deep South now but can we not be the club for black hicks? Alas, I hear Friday's are WAAY better but I won't be seeing them.
I paid for a new years table that included 'expedited' entry. All VIP and table holders has to wait with general admission outside. The wait was an hour long. We missed the countdown and by the time we went inside we had to wait in another 20minute line to actually be seated. The girls running the table service were slow, rude and highly in organized. She lost the handwritten paper of who table was where and didn't try care to apologize or offer anything at all. I would suggest anyone reading this to spend their hard earned money at a better club.
I enjoy myself every time I go to Grooves with Friends! Happy hour is always great and ready made food is always available.
Always jumping but drink lines may get long. Excellent atmosphere
the service is amazing being how busy it is! I never wait on a drink. Love all of the bartenders! Very well run establishment. I especially love happy hour and Friday nights. The music is always fitting for the mood and crowd.
Friday before 9 p.m. is where it is 3 dollar you call it and half off app. The pic occasion it was a special prom night hosted by all of 97.9 heavy hittas dj and mc. I got to meet one of the greats of Houston Z-ro tha Mo City Don. Atmosphere was grown and sexy plus beautiful ladies wall to wall a must go.
The music is awesome. The atmosphere is really nice and I felt safe.
Attended Grooves of Houston last night for Live Scene Saturdays with a friend from out of town. Went on the website to RSVP. as instructed prior to coming to the venue. I was rudely greeted by Rika at the front door who was extremely unprofessional and rude . She quickly assumed that I hadn't RSVP'd and did not know how to search for event brite in my email.. Very bad and condescending attitude.. She yelled at me that what I had in my email was not a ticket. I told her I understand but that I did RSVP for me and my out of town guest. I asked to speak to the promoter. She never called or asked the promoter to come outside as requested. After waiting ten minutes and missing more of the live music band who we came to support, I literally had to call Grooves of Houston from my cell phone outside and ask someone from inside to come out to assist us. Someone came out and let us come into the club.I was told by the promoter that by the time I RSVP'd earlier that the sale had ended but it still let me RSVP anyway, but just didn't send a ticket confirmation. Promoter never apologized for the inconvenience. just that the website shouldn't have let me RSVP and that it is a known issue. Clearly other guests had the problem as well. This needs to be fixed. Rika should not be out front as a representation of Grooves of Houston.
Went there for the 1st time and let me just say I never stepped foot inside and will never spend a dime with this company all because of one pathetic bouncer/doorman/lineman or whatever his petty position is. It's people like him that give all black businesses or places where blacks congregate for a night scene a bad rep and I refuse to grant them a mulligan. It was the tall one, the most idiotic.
I love the atmosphere here. It's awesome!!! Will be back soon
DJ played a nice mix of music. I love MY people! We are truly a great nation who is waking up by the mighty powerful hand of the Most High God, Ahayah Ashar Ahayah! #TrueJews #StudyBible
Do not go here! The security guards are shady! They will charge you just because they want money in their pockets. They made us pay for the type of sandals I was wearing!! They also steal your stuff. DO NOT GO HERE.
The experience was good coming all the way from Clinton, Ms. Hot but great atmosphere.....
Memorial Day Comedian Show
On the tickets Gooves of Houston has advertise .75 cents drinks, which this was clearly false advertisement. There was no drinks .75 cent. Now, they did have appetizer for half price. The comedian show was great. Just know Grooves of Houston advisement is like box chocolate never know what part of the advertisement is true and what is false until you arrive. So, don't believe the hype.
I had a great time last night. R&B is back. THE BAND WAS PHENOMENAL AND EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THEM AGAIN. #EPICNIGHT
Good place to go when you don't want to be in a crowded club. And a good place to have birthday parties. Which is what it seems like, more of an event hall than a club.
Valet charges of $20/$10 but your vehicle is being parked on the streets around the establishment. The parking lot of Grooves is reserved for family, staff, and friends only....Security requested me to change my shoes but upon entering Grooves I saw people dressed very casually...so I don't understand why I had to change my shoes. The place was sweltering and very humid, no air was ciculating, people was super sweaty along with the floor which made it slippery to walk on. I will never go back.
Decent nightlife spot. I've been around far superior DJs. This DJ wasn't horrible, but decent. The crowd was OK. I've been around crowds that were far more krunk.. But overall, it was a decent spot to visit
The best happy hour in Houston!!! 75 cent tequila shots and half off all appetizers, who can argue with that. Get there early and RSVP if you have a group.
Had a wonderful time at Grooves. The atmosphere, entertainment Ang service was top rate.
Went for comedy show and sat in the VIP section. The comedian was awesome!!!! The waitress sucked. I and my guest received my salad and baked potato without dressing, utensils, butter and sour cream for potato. In other words your food was displayed as they gathered your needs one by one.
Happy hour, good drinks, and the best MC and DJ in town....MC Ticket and DJ GT Mane. They know how to get you in the groove.
This place is so fun. I went to the silent dance party and it was an incredibly unique experience. I would recommend going early because the place gets super packed past midnight.
I go on Friday during happy hours.buffalo Wings were good but the other wings were waaaay to salty. First round of drinks were good but the second round taste like straight coke(sent them back).
Some guys that we didn't know ordered with our waitress and skipped their bill and so they made my sister pay it. Wss that proper protocol? Aren't the waitresses suppose to get some kind of payment to hold in beginning?
Showed up for the Silent Trap Party and was turned away because I was wearing a t-shirt. Other people were allowed to enter. My clothes were casual and non-offensive. Waited in line for an hour, and was told nothing about a dress code by the staff or by Eventbrite where I bought my ticket. Ridiculous selective staff and very rude staff. Stay away from this place.
Well, I’ve heard a lot about this place on the radio (97.9 the box). I recently relocated to Houston and wanted to go out for my birthday so I went to Grooves! The music was right and the place was nice! The reason I’m only giving them 1 star is because I noticed days later when I checked my account they had overcharged me.... I only ordered 2 drinks and 1 shot but I was charged almost $50... smh I finally figured out what happened.... the lady who waited on me decided to add a zero after my number on the “tip line” of the receipt. My 1st time out in Houston and this happens.... if she did it to me then I’m sure she’s done it to someone else who didn’t tip to her liking... I’ll never go back there
The atmosphere was nice as well as the layout of the bar. A decently diverse age group in the crowd & the drinks were priced perfect. I enjoyed my time here celebrating a graduation with friends.
Cool vibes, but very loud. Not a good place to hold conversation 😂 the food was OK. Happy hour specials are really good though. Def worth a stop on your weekend shenanigans.
This is my GO-TO spot! Grooves has always offered excellent customer service, great atmosphere, and awesome vibes for me and my friends. The Happy Hour is literally the BEST in Houston!! Where else in the urban nightlife could you get half off appetizers with .75 shots on a Friday after work?! When me and my friends are looking for a Friday night out we always give Grooves a call and make a reservation! Love this place ;)
My goodness! I love grooves, parking is free if you are patient or arrive early, it's also free to get in if you arrive early or wait patiently in line. You can buy drinks for as low as a $1 during happy hour, wings and fries are fav go to food, the waiters and bar tenders are friendly and efficient, but most importantly for me, The DJ is always lit. If you are trying to have a good time on a budget, do Grooves on Fridays, I hate myself for sharing this secret...
Malik was funny and deserve 5 stars. Grooves deserve 0 stars. I wish I could put 2.5 stars but I can’t. So here goes...it took the waitress 1 hour to come to our table. It took an additional 30 minutes for the waitress to come back only to tell us the waitresses switched sides of the club. It took an additional 30 minutes for the new waitress to come to our table. She took our drink orders and never returned. The kitchen waitress had to bring our drinks. Then gratuity was added to our tab when the menu clearly says gratuity is added to tables or 6 or more. I had a party of two. Management claimed gratuity is added to drink orders but that isn’t posted anywhere in the club. Grooves decided to capitalize off the comedy show by not offering happy hour prices. I won’t return.
Is this a zoo?? Seriously? This place seems like it is part of the Houston zoo. With all the animals that lurk here! This place is BEYOND ghetto. I came here a few nights ago under the recommendation of a colleague. I am no longer friends or associated with that colleague. Ghetto music, ghetto people, and poor quality food and drinks. I found “curly hair” in my drinks. I don’t have curly black hair. The restrooms stunk like ammonia and urine was all over the floor. The walls were brown stained...I think you know where I’m going with the bathrooms. The clientele was just awful. I’d rather spend time at the Houston zoo! It seemed cleaner there! Avoid this place! FAKE REVIEWS AND FAKE NEWS!
Someone ran into the building, while I stood in line. The Dj I did not care for as much tonight. I usually have a great experience but tonight was slight different. This was my 3 visit with multiple friends. Pro they were enforcing dress code.
Best happy hour! Love the way the DJ mixes the music. Cool place to let loose.
The Certified Funny Saturdays show featuring Marvin Hunter was definitely a great experience. The food was good and the drinks were on point. B Smooth does a great job putting these shows together. I hadn't been to Grooves of Houston in years but I may have to put them back on my list of spots for the grown and sexy! Thanks B Smooth!
Grooves was incredibly "turnt" and the D.j. had the whole club rocking. VIP may have played a part in my rating/review, however o still enjoyed myself regardless.
Grooves could use more options on the happy hour drink menu. The food is okay after you have a few drinks but the wings are delicious.. my favorite!
Had a great time for my birthday! 4 stars because my section wasn't ready when I arrived, and my window was smashed by a homeless guy in valet. Luckily I was parked in valet because the company came out to my home and replaced it.
Had a good time here..went on a Saturday with friends from out of town, wasn't crowded like I expected but still had a good time. Drinks are on point here. Just kinda hard figuring out what's the right day that this club is really poppin.
EMPTY...Can I give zero stars?? This place is boring as hell! It was my first time visiting, and it seemed the staff out numbered the actual guests that night. The little so called waitress we had for our section was too busy being felt up by every guy that walked to the bar to serve the drinks we’d ordered, to the point I had to go get my own!!! I wish I was exaggerating about that part. Just trashy...Drinks are WAY TOO OVERPRICED especially in a so called nightclub where I played Cookie Jam on my phone waiting for my people to get ready to go as I sat wishing like all hell I’d drove my car. I do not recommend and will never visit again.
Fun place / great DJ....bottle prices a bit high. After buying multiple, you would expect the price to be a bit cheaper. Good service & cool, beautiful hostess
I typically enjoy lounges because they are chill and just somewhere to go to relax. I give grooves 2 stars because the crowd kills my buzz. Everyone is just sitting around doing nothing. I went during their “club” hours and the crowd was just looking around. We had purchased a stage section which was about $600 ( not worth it at all). It was so wack that we ended up leaving and getting a section at another place. I also did not like the fact that the guy I was with was told to take his hat off, but when we went in there were guys in fitted hats and sneakers. I feel like if we are spending money on a section small things like that shouldn’t matter especially since you’re not enforcing the dress code.
It was really packed and really hot with too many young kids everywhere. The sections were super small and the drinks taste like coca cola. I wouldn't recommend this crowd for 30+
Staying far away from this place. Caters mostly to 20 year old and younger crowd. Oh, beware of the $15 thimble they give you called a drink
Very laid back and cool DJ even though he got a little too carried away with R&B from the 90s. Drinks on point. Went for a Bachelorette party and had a good time.
The Comedy show was awesome. The food was delicious. The parking was $20 I thought this was a bit much.
Beautiful women, strong drinks, and great food. Any other questions?
Definitely a spot to check out on Friday. Great Happy Hour
Decent place went there for a friend birthday party. Although this is not my type of crowd because it seems like a lot of kids , I’m in my thirty’s but I prefer a more 30 & up type of environment.
Grooves of Houston is a very cool place. They have an awesome happy hour on Fridays. With amazing drink specials. It's nice and roomy inside, very trendy décor.
The one downfall that they have is that they charge an insane amount of money to reserve seating. If you do not get there really early, and I mean really early. You will be standing the entire night! If they would do better on their seating and reservation requirements it would definitely be a place to visit at all times.
But because of the limited seating I will not be visiting that place in a more.
Music was pretty decent for dancing. There's usually an Eventbrite page that allows for free entry. Drink prices were pretty high, but they weren't skimpy with alcohol.
I went to this place for a couple of reasons... They have the well experience with the Lighthouse church on Sundays at 1:30. And on a Saturday night, after going to church there, I went to celebrate a cousin's birthday... The age ranges from early 20s to late 30s, patrons dressed nicely, and the music was awesome!
Last night, my cousins and I wanted to go out to Grooves. When we got there at 11:37, NO ONE was in the club and the “manager” was sitting at the booth and told us it was $20 to get in. My cousin asked him why because no one was in there? He then responded that we didn’t have to be there and we could leave. So we left. He was very unprofessional and rude. That is not how a business should be run. No matter the circumstances. Customer service should be a priority.
Really nice, I haven't been since my party 3 years ago.
Friday Happy Hour is AMAZING! Don't overdue it on the $0.75 drinks though. Food is decent. Music is great. The crowd is awesome too. Sometimes the food takes a bit longer when the crowd is large.
Nice Grown-Up Atmosphere. The Lighting was perfect for the Event. The Restrooms are clean & modern
OVERALL: 87% Good
Wonderful club! Happy hour from 4-9 p.m. relaxed atmosphere. Great vibe, delicious food, and speedy bottle services. Unfortunately, for those who like to wear sneakers to the club they charge $20 after 9 if you aren't already in.
Went here for a birthday .party. Nice inside outside of the place is keep up. Dj was good and i want on a friday.
Grooves of always a good time. Drinks are reasonable and there is a healthy mix of ratchet, classy and hood. It's where you go if you pull up to your job blasting ratchet music but change your voice during work calls.
I love their happy hours on Friday they have $0.75 drinks and shots and some awesome lemon pepper wings I just found out they have some pretty good brunch. I recommend the red velvet waffles and wings. Their regular drinks are much stronger compared to their week mimosas.
The food is alright. Not too bad but it could be better. Definitely try and experience the nice decor
It was cool and fun. Drinks are fairly priced but not really the bottles. But if you're willing to buy a bottle at the club, better be willing to spend!
I'm too old for this place. I grew up on mid 80s to early 2000s music. Just not for me. Good customer service however and tasty vegan burger.
Great venue! Kitchen serves good food! Live DJ great happy hour
The worst service EVER. Ordered 5 chicken wings and mozzarella sticks & waited 4 hours for my food and told them multiple times about it for them to say they are sorry they(manager) don’t know what happened and gave me a refund. Also the worst/rudest security guards ever! I will NEVER come back.
Such a cool spot. Food and drinks were great. And they had a great Dj
Nice vibe for the "mature adult" age group (25-45). DJ is good, venue is spacious & clean, sections available, good drinks, & it's nice to see how well put together the waitresses are-- dressed in matching appropriate club uniforms. The only downfall is the PARKING! Valet is a plus, but the self-parking areas for $20 is complete foolery!
I can only vouch for Friday happy hour, but this place has become a staple for us for birthday celebrations and Friday night relaxation. The banging food and DJ Energizer will have you right on a Friday night for sure. Get there early because it gets packed around 9.
Visited while on Vacation in Htown. Grooves had a nice vibe. Plenty of room so I didn't feel squashed. Food was ok!
They have remodeled since the last time I visited a few years ago and it looks really. Nice music. Bottle service recommended.
The happy hour is amazing but the Disk jockeys are always pretrt wack. Need better music, better vibes.
Grooves has been a Houston staple of entertainment for some time now! Went there for the silent headphone party and had a blast! Expect a younger crowd when you go! Hip-hop and R&B music! Also expect to have a great time! You definitely wanna get pre-lit, drinks are pricey!!!
Attended a comedy show here and it was nice. My 1st time here. After the show they transformed the seating into a night club. The food was good however it took way to long to come out. Each of our orders came out 15 to almost 20 mins apart. Maybe it was an off night for the servers/kitchen, however I didn't like having such a long wait. I'll try them again (hopefully food service is better).
Great drinks, great music, great vibe, what sense can you ask for on a Friday night? Definitely the best happy hour in the city
Grooves was once a very nice adult spot with an amazing happy hour. You could expect a nice after work environment before. Lawyers, doctors, teachers, etc...
They’ve since changed the demographic for the college crowd. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not the same as it used to be. Regardless, you can still have a good time as long as you know what you’re walking into.
The drinks are still cheap (Friday’s have $.75 drinks) but very potent. The food is ok. I’d never say that I’m going to Grooves to be fed fine dining but with the alcohol flowing they have options to help soak it all up.
All in all Grooves provides a decent experience. You can either make it a movie or you can get there early and beat the crowd.
Grooves is a nice Friday spot. The food is good and the crowd is usually nice but the DJ plays the OLDEST music selection and it throws off the whole vibe! There is entirely too much new music for the majority of the music selection to be from the 2000’s. Pretty annoying. A few oldies is good but come on now...“hit the Quan”? It’s 2020! Only giving 2 stars because of the DJ.
I got a section from them for New Year’s eve going into New Year’s day. When we first arrived they weren’t “ready” because the staff was unsure what to do next. We were told they just had finished a comedy show. Then finally we were directed to an entrance for the VIP section that we reserved. Next, I paid for the section ($850) and 4 extra “VIP” wrist bands for $300. We went to our section and was promised that we would have our bottles by 12:00 because obviously it’s New Year’s eve and you want to be drinking before the clock strikes 12. Never happened! We got our bottles AFTER 12:30AM & the club was not even packed. We were also told ALL night that we would be getting our wrist bands so that we can enjoy the buffet that opened at 12AM. Again.... never happened. Moreover, with the “VIP” wristbands, we were told that they came with 3 drinks —per wristband— from the bar, but guess what? Couldn’t get those either because we had no wristbands. Night was over so quick because the club turned on the lights and were over by 1:30AM. So imagine paying $1150 for a section and 4 wristbands to be waiting until the club was “ready,” not receiving any food because we didn’t have any wristbands and also no extra drinks from the bar because we weren’t served correctly. It was a horrible night and I’ll never recommend this to ANYONE. Martha was very helpful in the beginning but other staff still lacked. I wish I never spent a dime in this establishment.
I am visiting from DC and was really looking forward to visiting this venue for my birthday. On February 4, 2020. I originally booked a birthday booth for happy hour, in which, they already offer free birthday booths, free champagne, etc, but instead I added a bottle for an additional fee. That was confirmed and booked by a wonderful lady over the phone who explained everything and was able to help me before my trip.
Fast forward, 2 weeks out and my friends and I are still in the planning phases of our trip and we decided to still attend grooves happy hour for only 2 hours and after, go to another event, so we decided not to purchase the additional bottle & enjoy the great happy hour rates that Grooves offer. We are tourist & really want to enjoy Houston and the list we have for the weekend.
I called to inquire about a refund on the additional bottle (really didn’t expect it to be able to be done) and the guy asked why and I explained that I was not local and got advice from from a few people and we would will still be coming to the venue and I would still like the complimentary booth and I’m sure we are going to buy enough drinks to surpass my original purchase. The guy stated that I am going to wish I would have kept the bottle and I replied am I? He replied, “ yea, but you listening to other people...so I sent you a refund” I’m thinking he would give me reasons and help me through it..because as stated I am not local, I’m not sure of the crowd, and I want to enjoy my birthday. Instead he stated that he refunded me and to have a good day, as I was still talking. So we went back and forth for a while because I wanted to confirm that I was still receiving the complimentary booth and a confirmation that I was being refunded the deposit. His tone and demeanor on the phone was very rude, he was rushing me off the phone, and kept saying other people are on the line, brought up the fact that “I was listening to other people” & that he “refunded me so what’s the problem”. There wasn’t a problem, but I wanted clarity before I got off the phone. I asked to speak with the original lady who booked me (she was wonderful) , and then I asked for a manager, because I couldn’t believe the reaction I was receiving. I wanted someone who CARED about my experience at Grooves. He stated he was the manager and his name is “Energizer”, but to come to find out he’s DJ Energizer.
If I wasn’t able to receive a refund, I would have understood and carried on, but to receive a refund and be treated as if I don’t matter due to me inquiring about one, is not okay.
I am very turned off due to only a phone conversation. The money we are going to spend, hold just as much value as the money I spent for a deposit. It was my fault for moving fast without consulting or thinking it through, but I can’t blame myself for the horrible customer service I received.
He could have easily convinced me to keep the bottle purchase, with better customer service instead of being defensive. As stated, I didn’t even think I would receive a refund, but it was worth the ask. I’m really shocked about this entire conversation.
Our go to place for Friday nights. I believe happy hour starts at 5 and ends at 9. We always get the 75 cent drinks. Their food is sooo good. We get the...read this and 92 more
