How would you rate Gatlin's BBQ?
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! I was really looking forward to trying them after hearing good things about their food truck, but this restaurant was a complete let down. I ordered my food plus my sides, but I was called twice to change my order because they were out of food. I asked for more sweet tea and I was told "I cannot leave the counter to go to the back and make sweet tea because that would be too much work and I don't have time right now" I'm not sure why they let customers place orders they cannot fulfill. This place was very upsetting and I do not plan on going back.
Family owned and it really is the best BBQ in town. If you are like me and you dislike watery, vinegary bland sauce - GATLINS is exactly what you NEEED!!! BBQ is always about quality MEAT ( they source their meat from Ruffino meats in Bryan Tx - see my photo,) but any good any good southern knows that the sauce is where the secret is. This sauce is SAVORY, RICH, SMOKEY and FULL BODIED!!! I have given up on gabbys, demeris, and papas. Gatlins is the way to go - you'll know from the first bite. :-)
Love the food...brisket is awesome, turkey and chicken great! The sides also very good. Love the location. But why does it take 15 mins to slice bbq? A little quicker and I would go even more often.
Amazing BBQ, the best I've tried in Houston, even better than the one I make at home ;) problem is that they are always sold out on Brisket. Maybe because it's still new they are having a hard time adjusting the amount of food available to the number of customers they expect. Overall highly recommend for a BBQ lover.
Had same dreadful experience as several other reviewers. Went for brisket. They were out. Ordered a plate of baby back ribs. Waited 50 minutes after ordering. Finally, after going to the counter to ask what's up with my food, was told that they had no more baby back ribs, but they could make me a plate of spare ribs. So, I asked for my money back, now starving and sort of pissed off, and stating the reason is terrible poor service. A guy starts shouting at me as if I have made some unreasonable comment and request. Another guy gave me my money back, apologized, and gave me box of sausages in a styrofoam box.The sausages and sauce were pretty good.
Basically, after almost an hour in the restaurant, cannot evaluate the BBQ that I came for or ordered.
The food is good, the restaurant is nice and clean, those are the good parts.
The overall experience on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. If you have all day and don't mind your food not being what you ordered, this is your place. You will wait a LONG time to order, not the end of the world. But then you will WAIT AN EVEN LONGER TIME for your food. My wife an I spent over TWO HOURS waiting for one plate of barbecue. half of the items we ordered were no longer available when our order was finally ready.
The worst part to me was that the Manager treated the customers as we were the problem and not the service level. The expectation is that you will do as you are told and you will be thankful if they ever give you your food.
Greg Gatlin has been killing it ever since he stepped off the Rice field and went pro in BBQ instead of football. The new location is much bigger than the small house where they used to be located so there is no more waiting in line outside during the middle of the day - but quality has not suffered. The brisket can be a little dry if you catch them at the end of the day but it's generally hard to go wrong here. This BBQ competes with the best "gourmet" BBQ joints that are popping up around Houston but at a fraction of the price and with a warm smile from Greg's mom at the cash register. Always my first stop when I'm in town.
The food and service were amazing. It was our first time there, and the staff was very helpful in providing recommendations on what to eat. The prices were reasonable for both the quantity and quality of the food we received. While we did have to wait a little bit to receive the food, it was well worth the wait.
We will definitely be going back the next time we are near that side of Houston.
EXCELLENT family owned BBQ joint. One of the best spots I've ever had. Going to get some later to take back to Atlanta tomorrow.
Amazing real deal barbecue. Love is most certainly a main ingredient in each dish. This family owned and operated business not only knows traditional barbecue, they know people. I recommend getting to the place early because like a true barbecue place, when they are out of a dish it's off the board. Try everything, seriously it's all amazing.
I must admit I might be a little bias, because I had high expectations for TX bbq and finding a good place is akways hit or miss. This is some of the best bbq I have had in Houston. I like pulled pork and baked beans (not ranch beans), I have a hard time finding pulled pork at some bbq places. The ribs/chicken are so delicious. The peach cobbler is good. I am always satisfied, and the new location is beautiful. Good portions for the price. The owner and staff are always nice and wonderful.
Over 40 mins to get my food after paying. This is not Franklins they don't run out so why the long wait? Arrived and there was only about 10 people in the place for a Friday afternoon. Ordered my food including chicken strips and corn dogs for the kids receipt showed 2:42pm. After about 20 mins I went to check on the food, I was told I see them cutting it up now it would be a few more minutes. I let 10 more minutes goes and my pager goes off. Finally.. Nope, they buzzed me to tell me they were our of corn dogs and if chicken strip were fine. I said yes just give me the extra strips. She then say's "let me reset your pager and we will buzz you when ready." I told them I would wait for it at the counter and this really upset them. After about 5 mins at the counter I got my BBQ minus the kids meal. The promised to bring it to our table, and I reminder her that I was still missing my potato salad. She said no worries i will bring it to you. After about 5 mins we finally got the kids meals, chicken strip and corndogs. Yes they found the corndogs. They also brought me coleslaw and I told her it was potato salad, she said don't worry keep the slaw and I will bring your potato salad. I looked at by watch and it was 3:24pm. Don't go if you are in a rush. They really don't care. The Brisket was dry, and the Turkey was too salty. Way better BBQ in Houston. Plus I never got the Potato Salad. What a shame was really looking forward to this place. Never again.
Loved getting the brisket and sliced pork. Okra was among the best I've ever had (fresh and crispy). The main drawbacks were the limited selection of BBQ sauce (only one sub-par flavor) and the price.
Ok I visit barbecue joints all over the country. This place is in the top 5. The brisket was great with a next smoked flavor. The venison sausage and chicken also were good. They required sauce but it was pretty tasty as well. The ribs as well were on point. These sides are there as well. The staff were friendly and helpful in their recommendations. They offer catering as well, something I would consider if planning a event.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is exactly what I love from new restaurants popping up around Houston are. It holds on to the looks and asteroid of other BBQ joints but at the same time it has a very modern look. The food was delicious but sadly I didn't get to try the ribs, Mac n cheese, or potato salad, because they ran out.so maybe font go too late at night if you want the full menu. But besides that the brisket was alright, not the best, and the sausage was the stand out of the menu.
Hands down the best and friendliest service in Houston . The staff always jokes and talks to me and my girlfriend and treats us like friends
I've tried just about every meat on their menu. The char on the brisket is amazing. The meat is a little on the lean side even though I prefer mine on the moister fattier side. It's still delicious. The ribs were probably the best bbq ribs I've ever had. They practically flake off the bone. Their bbq sauce is fantastic. A little spicy and sweet just like it should be.
I've always thought Rudy's bbq was some of the best in Texas but gatlins has certainly taken the crown.
If you want good Texas bbq this is THE place to go.
Some of the best barbecue I have ever had and I have been to some of the best barbecue places all over Texas. The only thing that was "average" was the pork ribs. The brisket, venison sausage, mac-n-cheese, and okra were some of the best I've ever had! Even the tea was really good. This is officially one of my favorite barbecue spots.
In terms of bbq, I'd say it's easily top 5 in Houston right in between Killen's and Brisket House. The brisket was moist with nice char, ribs fell off the bone, the sauce was tangy without being too sour, and the sides were worthy of getting by themselves. I also tried the wings and when you combine the ranch and their bbq sauce it makes a great taste worth trying just by itself.
The only downside I'd say is the wait, I did go on Saturday but it was still longer than I thought it'd be for after lunch/before dinner.
My boss had our company Christmas party here. The Baby Back Ribs were awesome! I also liked the Mac & cheese. The manger and staff were awesome and took care of us. I would recommend this place to friends.
I have been wanting to go here since they opened and finally made it today. Best ribs I have ever had. I ordered the mixed veggies even though I really wanted the mac n cheese. They were so good I didn't miss the mac n cheese. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is super clean. Will be going every chance I get.
The ribs were so good, not dried out, and so tender, they fall off the bone. Sauce is very good. I go on a regular basis. All staff is friendly and always check to make sure customers are happy with food and service. I got my food to go, and was treated as if I was eating in house. So good, I recommend to my friends and associates
The brisket is unlike any brisket I have ever had. This place is seriously bbq heaven, and they have achieved brisket perfection. Their pork ribs are excellent as well, but that brisket. My goodness, my mouth is watering just thinking about it again. If you don't go here while you are in Houston, you have done yourself a disservice.
Complete tools. Spend $15 bucks on lunch to go, asked for a to go cup and they charge for those...... never again. There are other local BBQ establishments in the are that have been part of the community for decades. Go spend your money there.
Incredible food and fantastic service. We had just arrived in Texas as overseas visitors and all staff were so friendly and welcoming, helpful and offering meal and drinks suggestions. We ate the most tender melt in the mouth smoked brisket, delicious baby back ribs and mac and cheese, coleslaw and smoked corn. All of it, brilliant. We would eat here again and again if we could. Love love loved it.
This is some seriously good BBQ, but considering the location giving it 5 stars is a no brainer. I had very good brisket, both the lean and fatty cuts were full of flavor and came in respectable portions. While not my favorite Texas brisket it was very good. But the sides were top notch. Good service and a good value too, no wonder it's so busy!!!
This place is wonderful. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable. The portions are huge and the price is right. The first time I went there, I got a baked potato not realizing how huge it is. I got three meals out of it. My husband and I shared the 3 meat combo platter of brisket, ribs, and sausage. So far, I haven't had a bad thing there. Their fried okra is also amazing!
I would eat here everyday! Best BBQ in Houston, no question! I feel bad for people every time I pass another BBQ restaurant. They can't know about Gatlin's.That smoked corn would make you think about becoming a vegan. That is until you taste the meat. OMG! Jesus take the wheel. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this location.
Great BBQ. Had the St Louis ribs and some brisket. Very good smoky flavor. BBQ was awesome. Staff very friendly. Large full plates of meat.
I couldn't tell you about the service. I had UberEATS deliver for me. But I can tell you the pulled pork baked potato was awesome. I also had brisket, sausage, dirty rice, and green beans. Can't say it's the best I have ever had, but Great food and full of flavor!
I go to Gatlins twice a month or more (to-go for my dad which will last him a few days) and the service is always great but when I went this time the cashier woman seemed annoyed immediately and her mood did not improve over the course of my transaction. Secondly I got the least amount of the jalapeno, pickles and onions ever also when I asked for six slices of bread as I usually do-three sandwiches-the woman at the counter said "SIX for this", I told four or whatever she could give me. I will not be purchasing from here unless I go in and see the people that give good service.
Have never been to the new place at Ella Blvd. The pics I posted were the ones in the previous place. Obviously, Gatlin's is one the best in TX and, I think, is the best in Houston. Well, I totally agree with their new motto: The Best BBQ in Town. If you have enough patience to get in line, please go this place. If not, please at least do it once a year. Brisket, ribs, and sausages were perfect. Owners (Greg and his parents) were very friendly and you would feel like having a home-made BBQ. I would highly recommend the beans as one of your sides.
Food was phenomenal. By far the best BBQ/Service my family and I have ever had. The entire staff was incredibly polite and warm and the food was the best you'll have. I love Killens BBQ, (I stay 10 minutes from their spot in Pearland)., but This was a notch above that. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this great food and ambiance at Gatlins! We'll definitely make this a regular stop!
My favorite BBQ place in Houston. At least for the meats. The sides are decent, but nothing too spectacular, but you cannot go wrong with the mains. Everything I've tried is delicious. I would heavily recommend the ribs and deer sausage.
Be warned that if you go on a weekend, you might be waiting for a bit: good BBQ isn't fast. However, since they moved to their new location on Ella Blvd, waiting is a lot more comfortable.
Great BBQ!!! wait wasn't long to order, an food taste amazing! Highly recommend this place... I got the BIG 3 an the meat was tender, juicy, an had a great crust on the ribs and brisket, and that good snap on the links.
Talk about good BBQ! The food was amazing, and the service was even better! They say "Gatlin's, where Love is the secret ingredient." I couldn't agree more. They know how to take care of their patrons, and we felt like family 😊😌
Unbelievably good!! Love the people, and the BBQ is out of this world! Go early if you like ribs as they sell out early every day of the week - they are fall-off-the-bone tender. You just can't go wrong here with anything you order.
Just left the place and I have to say the best bbq place In Houston hands down. The staff was wonder great atmosphere. I can't wait to visit this place again. I can not forget about the food got the big 3 with okra and mac and cheese and mac and cheese was to die you. Please try it out for your self.
The bbq was very flavorful & tender. Mom had chicken & spare ribs; I had the 3 meat platter with links (3 choices), ribs, & brisket. The corn on the cobb was really good. Restaurant was very spacious & clean. Employees were friendly & helpful. Overall great experience!
I've been here many times but yesterday was my last. If you like waiting an eternity for food, this place is for you. They take your money and let you sit, and and sit and sit some more. I wasn't the only one waiting, there were people that arrived long before I did and they hadn't gotten their food either. I don't have hours for lunch and I'm sure most folks don't either. If there is a problem giving timely service, be considerate and tell your customers BEFORE they order. Don't take peoples money and hold them hostage. That's wrong. This isn't my first time eating here and waiting but it's my last time. I finally gave up on my food yesterday and left, without getting a refund and had a burger across the street.
So I should start off by saying I've never been a "big" fan of BBQ because what I've noticed is that places will buy CHEAP meat and slather it in sauce and call it "BBQ". That being said this is my first time have BBQ in Houston TX and I will admit that I now have BBQ grease and all over my car because I tried to sample it on the way home and could NOT stop eating. :-( It was really REALLY a good. The only down side to this place was the fact that everyone thinks it's good so parking wasn't as friendly as I'd have liked. That really is a minor thing obviously because I was getting it to go and NONE of it made it home anyway. I plan on buying a couple slabs of the baby back ribs to take home for my memaws birthday this weekend. You know it's good when you take it home to the family!!!
you can see in my picture the brisket go from moist to dry. the baby ribs were dry, the spare ribs was only slightly better. im a minimalist at heart, and appreciate when i can taste the natural flavors of the meats, and not just the seasonings, here - i tasted nearly no seasonings, no balance and dry. sausage was average. sides were good.
If I could of given a half a star I would have. The Ribs were dry and so was the Brisket. We also had potato salad and even that was dry! Not sure how you can do that but they did it. The manager did come by and try to get us some better ribs but even those were dry. We got there only 30 min after they had opened and sothere is no reason the food should of been dry. The few months when they opened they were really good but they have gone down hill since then. The staff and the atmosphere I will say are very nice!
The food is absolutely amazing! It does not matter what you get, it's going to be good. I've tried most of their sides and love them all. I typically get the Big 3 Platter that includes brisket, pork ribs, and traditional sausage and I always have some left to take home. The line can be long sometimes, but it's well worth the wait and the cost. I definitely recommend trying it and you'll be hooked. 😊
My first time going and I’ll definitely be back. I ordered wings and coleslaw but soon wanted to add things to my order once I looked around at the other tables. Everyone’s plate looked sooo amazing. Their Mac and cheese looked delicious. My wings were great and my coleslaw was perfect. Great, bright, vibrant atmosphere. Tons of seating. And awesome, friendly customer service. I’ll be back soon!
This place serves some really good barbecue. We had some brisket and pulled pork plates all of which were excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be going back.
My friend is visiting from Florida and this place was recommended by multiple sources. We sampled all of the menu items. Greens were good all other sides lacked that homemade feel. Commercial bbq left much to be desired. Good smoke on the ribs, nice ring, but no identity. Everything else about this place is great! Atmosphere, friendly staff, clean. Unfortunately in the quest for authentic Texas bbq, the mark has been missed.
Food is alright but terrible service. Not busy but so disorganized it took over 20 minutes just to get a few ribs. Came here based off the Google rating and location but I have no idea why it doesn't have a lower score
I've been here many times but today was my last. If you like waiting an eternity for food, this place is for you. They take your money and let you sit, and sit and sit some more. I wasn't the only one waiting, there were people that arrived long before I did and they hadn't gotten their food either. I don't have hours for lunch and I'm sure most folks don't either. This isn't my first time eating here and waiting but it's my last time. I finally gave up on my food and left after getting my refund getting a refund and had a burger across the street. When I complained they tried to tell how the to go orders come first but all I saw was employee’s standing around BS in the kitchen.
Excellent BBQ! I had the brisket - lean, moist, & burnt tips - along with fried okra & mac-n-cheese and it was great. I’m a huge fan of spicy & their jalapeños were outstanding! The moist brisket was so rich with marbling that it was melt-in-your-mouth goodness and the burnt ends were just the perfect combo of juiciness & crunchiness with rich smoky flavor permeating every bite! The made-from-scratch pecan brownies were amazing as well!!!
It is good BBQ, and everyone says it is great, I believe it is good, but overrated. I have had better, at a less expensive price. This is expensive. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but I take into affect, it was hard to eat, the line was right behind me, and everyone is looking over my shoulder at the food. It took 25 minutes in line, another 35, for the food to come out, after all this and the price, I'll give them a low 3 star.
Went for my first time this week and I had a turkey sandwich and it was DELICIOUS!!! it's a nice atmosphere only reason why I'm not giving it more stars is because the lady at the register with long black braided hair wasn't very pleasant/welcoming. If I decide to go back, I hope to get better service so that I won't regret giving it at least 3 stars.
Epic, slow-smoked BBQ. The ribs and spicy sausage are tops. Nice, thick smoke ring on the ribs and brisket. The smoked mac and cheese and creamed corn sides are divine. The three meat plate is a gut-buster but well worth it.
The brisket was ok. It was tender and moist but lacked flavor. I arrived there when it first open and the brisket did not taste fresh. You have to come here still to try the Kitchen Sink sandwich. The brisket on it was actually better than the 1/4lb brisket I ordered by itself. It’s a hefty sandwich so come hungry.
Out-of-this-world BBQ. Arguably one of the best BBQ “joints” in Houston, Gatlin’s offers a menu that is unparalleled. I had the pulled pork and ribs, and the food was incredible. There’s a different taste from every bite, since the slow cook method extracts flavors from all sides of the cut. Gatlin’s serves dry BBQ, meaning that instead of pouring sauce over the cuts the flavors are cooked in. They offer BBQ sauce as a side if you prefer. Restaurant is big, modern, and fairly new. Be prepared, you can wait up to 30 minutes for your meal to arrive. Despite the wait, it’s 100% worth the trip out here.
I was looking for BBQ and Google lead me here! I am very pleasantly surprised. The missing star is due to the customer service. They really need more warm and friendly cashiers. That southern hospitality is missing. The food was really good, the ribs being the best. No sauce needed. I wouldn't get the pull pork again, tasted gamey. The dirty rice is nothing to write home about and the mac had cheese but not much flavor. It was worth the price, not sure about the wait. The meats weren't hot, so I was confused about why it took so long. I would definitely recommend and return. They could charge more, if they had better service. I read the reviews only after I started eating so they didn't influence my review but confirmed how I felt while I was there.
Got in late and they sold out of pork ribs. The brisket was delicious and well rendered if a little dry, which I chalk up to the late hour. The cashier, super friendly and helpful, suggested the traditional sausage and it was very good. Sauce is ketchup based with good flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed, good mix of people, and comfortable.
Always delicious! Our favorites are the ribs, spicy sausage, and lean brisket. The creamed corn is impossible to stop eating. Actually everything is good here, I haven't tried anything that I wouldn't recommend or order again. Staff very friendly.
I finally got to try Gatlin's BBQ not long ago. It was a very worthwhile trip. It felt a bit more commercial than I had expected. But it was still a good experience. Great brisket. Great ribs. Great sides. I would recommend it to anyone looking for excellent BBQ close to downtown Houston.
Great food. Really crowded and busy but the food makes up for that. Definitely a great place for classic bbq. Lot's of great plates and sides to choose from. The employees are friendly. Excellent.
Be sure to get here early as the line does build up. I particularly enjoyed the ribs. Their very tender and flavorful. The brisket was merely acceptable though to be fair even the best BBQ can have an off day with brisket. I'd definitely get the brisket again on another trip. If nothing else, I'd be able to enjoy the delicious ribs again. The other meats were also okay.
It was incredible. Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Nice Location. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Truly made you feel like family. I guess we got lucky, because we came for dinner and there was no line, and Service was very quick.
Very nice place, great service and the food is really good. The price is reasonable. We got the baked potato with pulled pork, brisket and ribs. The sides are really good too. We got the baked beans and mac & cheese, both were delicious. Really recommend this place and we'll be back soon.
The barbecue here is great . I'm a big fan of the Texas 2 step the brisket and sausage. I got the dirty rice in the green beans in they were really really good. Sauce is good although I feel you do not need the sauce. It's good that it comes on the side warm. Although I'm used to more traditional barbecue places it does feel kind of weird to meeting on plates with forks and spoons and not a piece of wax paper with all your meats. I guess you gotta Grow up sometime in be sophisticated though.
Great BBQ, not the mainstream mediocre quality BBQ
I have been in Houston many years. The last 10-15 years have seen a scarcity of quality barbecue. Perhaps the chain restaurants have moved in or another reason caused that. One thing I believe is that barbecue is not necessarily scalable. It takes much tender care to produce a quality product. So far I have had ribs, turkey, brisket and pulled pork here and they are all great. The ribs have a little char on them, so that was my least favorite, but they are very good. I recommend the fried okra as a side. It reminds me of the stuff my grandmother made and is easily the best in the city. Portions are very generous for the price as well. I say try out this place and see what you think. I can tell you with certainly that I will be back.
Gatlin's NEVER disappoints! We drive 25 miles (several times a month) one-way for their delicious food and warm hospitality. Ms. Mary knows and hugs everyone! It's like coming home after being away for a while. We haven't found another BBQ place that can top their customer service, the flavor of the spare ribs and their savory sides. The macaroni and greens are so good you'd want to slap yo mama...but don't😁
Place has a rustic yet modern look to it. The cream corn was really good my wife loved it. I got mixed Brisket. Didn't like the moist option, but the regular brisket was good yet tender. Service was great and professional. I wish they had better selection of desert they didn't have peach cobbler. Overall 4 stars. I will be coming back.
This place is AMAZING.. Food is impeccable and the customer service is great as well. I usually call in my order and it is always ready within the time frame they give me. You can literally order anything on this menu and it will be delicious. My personal favorites are the chopped beef baked potato and Turkey sandwich. Keep up the great work Gaitlin's
My daughter teaches nearby. We use that as an excuse to go to Gatlins. I could make a meal from the sides (the fried okra is killer). The meat is always fork or finger tender and smoked perfectly. The cake is what I want for my birthday, no matter what kind of cake it is or, for that matter, when my birthday is. The people who work there are efficient and friendly. All good, all the time.
Amazing food, their brisket is my favorite!!!!
My only complain is that it gets pretty packed during the weekday lunch rush hour and it is hard to find a parking space. It took me 35 minutes to get a To-Go order. Call in and order ahead, maybe? The delicious food made it worth the wait though! :)
Seen this place on the travel channel and thought since its close to home, I would give it a try. I was NOT disappointed... This place was great! Customer service was excellent! I got the 3 meat combo with spare ribs, sausage, brisket, dirty rice and mac n cheese. The ribs were meaty and pull off the bone with your fingers good. The brisket had a deep smoke ring and was moist and tender. The sides were excellent too. If you love great BBQ... You must try this place! I will be back again!
The meats are very tasty but I'm not a fan of the sides. The BBQ sauce 4/5 stars.
I'd come here for a brisket sandwich or ribs. Not my favorite BBQ place but will definitely satisfy the craving.
My first visit was awesome!! The atmosphere was amazingly friendly. The facility was super cool looking inside. The take-out service was fast and neatly packaged. My second visit was just the same. I had the brisket nachos on the first visit and a rib plate on my second visit. I look forward to my third visit. Yummy!!!
Went here with a group of 5. Got a little bit of everything: Brisket, sausage, pork ribs, turkey, macaroni and cheese, cream corn, and dirty rice. Was impressed by each one. Short lines and reasonable prices.
I eat here almost any time I can. Yes the food is terrific and some of the best brisket I have had but the real attraction is the people. They are some of the nicest kindest most customer service oriented groups ever. Ownership is always concerned with the guests and they truly care.
We have tried a lot of different barbecue places in the Houston area, and I would have to say that Gatlin’s is one of my favorite places. The service was quick & friendly. We went around lunch time, so it was pretty packed. The inside isn’t real large but big enough that you can sit in and enjoy comfortably. In comparison to other places, the price is reasonable for the quantity that is received. My spouse, daughter, & I were extremely pleased and left full & satisfied. Well worth the visit!
Our family and us ate here and really enjoyed it! It has a great atmosphere and friendly staff! I really love the vibe of the place and the wonderful music! You can get your food to dine in or to go! The staff worked really fast to get our orders to us. The food was Delicious!!!!!! We now have a new spot to eat bbq! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Friendliest staff ever. They make everyone feel like family. Perfect turkey/pastrami sandwich. Venison sausage was stellar. Sides of beans and green beans were delicious.
CC accepted. Lots of parking. Great menu that is easy to read when you walk in.
Food,so good.I ordered a baked potato, sliced beef delicious. Lunch time, but customer service good.Really enjoyed just sitting in there and enjoying lunch. Good place to eat ,if you are alone. Will definitely go back.
Today was my first time eating at Gatlin's BBQ. They came highly recommended by friends and coworkers. I must admit the food is way above average, it's the best BBQ I've eaten in a while. The customer service is superb, the owner Mrs. Gatlin Is warm, friendly, and funny. She made us feel welcomed. The restaurant is very clean and the overall atmosphere is pleasant.
Fun atmosphere with delicious barbecue. The pulled pork sandwich is absolutely delicious. Get sides of cole slaw and macaroni and cheese. They have one of those soda machines to create your own flavors, which is fun. The hot barbecue is amazing! Great place with very friendly staff.
Wow this place is absolutely amazing!!! This is my first time here. Such a great staff. The pulled pork and ribs ... I am lost for words.. I highly recommend you try this place.
I will be bringing some home ...
Spicy sausage, spicy BBQ sauce and dirty rice are great. Chicken has good flavor but was a little dry, and pulled pork was a little too vinegary for my taste (but some might like that). Baked beans were fine but nothing special. Fried okra was too greasy for me.
This place is wonderful!!! Food is amazing and never tastes like it's been sitting all day. It gets so busy though. Expect to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get your food from the time you order. It would be wonderful if they opened a place that was drive thru only.
I came in today and ordered a baked potato with chopped beef as I always do. I felt like splurging today so I ordered extra butter and cheese. When I got home I opened my surprise to find my order was incorrect and had no extra butter. I called in to ask for a refund for the items that they did not put in and the guy began to tell me that he wont do anything for me and to suck it up. WOW really!! Where are your customer service skills? You charged me 30 cents for each piece of bread....when you should include a couple pieces at no charge. All i wanted was my money back for the condiments I did not receive and paid for. Instead you treated me like an non-valued customer, telling me you checked it when clearly you didn't.
