Nice place to stay with free parking and not very too far from city.. looks remote area but completely safe to stay.
they have the jackpot going on and wonderful food and hotel room accommodation.
This was a wonderful place to stay. Rooms were clean and the service was A1. Will stay again when I come to New Orleans.
very nice! clean and big rooms.
My wife & I stay here at least once a month and we love it. From the staff to the rooms to the property in general they never disappoint.
Hotel is nice and clean. But the Wifi is horrible! Can't even log in on my Laptop to check a email much less try and work. They make McDonald's wifi seem like light speed. So as long as you not depending on WiFi I recommend. If you are don't stay here. It's always like this also wasn't just a off day.
Excellent service and tremendously fun. I give it 5 stars hands down. It's the most entertaining eye candy available in new orleans. You name it, from raffles that you can put your name in for by simply showing up with your official boomtown player card. Yes I mean free folks! In addition to that, if you show up there on your birthday you get a free fifty dollars to make sport of the night out. Now, take us to the tables where the dealers are on your side, you tip them if you want, you can even put up a bet for them, really given them reason to deal you good hands. Upstairs is a slot machine player's dream, with every bet available. Let's go back down using the escalator that was put up for your convenience. Free alcoholic drinks all night, its extravagant to say the least. Chuck Norriss the total package is boomtowns tag words. I've been everywhere with you but the bathroom now and that's even awesome at boomtown. And there's the Buffett, o so delicious, how could I forget that chefmensship prepared for her ppl.
As the Westbank only true Casino, the place has a sort of a monopoly on the gambling entertainment in the area. That being said, they could do more with the space they have. There are thousands of video poker machines but hardly a half of floor of table games. If the card tables are your preference, you have better luck going to Harrahs downtown. But overall The establishment is clean and appealing. Even though the decor is a bit glitzi and Las Vegas like, but it is a casino after all! This seems to be more like a neighborhood Casino rather than other casinos I've been too. Lots of regular customers. The food they offer in the buffet is above average. They have a couple of cafes that serve food to go or dine in. It is also pretty good. They have a nightclub area where they have live music occasionally. There is plenty of parking in handicap access. Valet parking is available if you so desire.
Ate an early Christmas dinner here with the family a day before Christmas. Good food and great service from the waitress who I tipped $50 as I think anyone who provides excellent service when it isn't expect (The day before a holiday I normally give wait staff a pass). The food selection was good enough for where we were. The taste was good considering it was Buffet. Everyone enjoyed there time and the waitress gave each of us a hug for her tip. You can't ask for more.😊
I like the hotel. It's not fancy at all. Outdated but its clean. The hotel staff are always nice. I'm giving less stars because they have been out or low on towels. That's consistent poor management or logistics, this is a hotel. Also got awaken by the housekeeping staff having a very loud and giddy convo at 9am. I politely asked them to quite down and they did so not a major issue but a lack of commom sense or common courtesy. EDIT: Well the lack both common sense and courtesy for 3 mornings we were awaken at 9am by the laughter and loud convo of housekeeping. The casino itself has lots of old games, that's not a plus. I play roulette, they only have 2 tables. They usually only have one open..even on the weekends and dont look to a pit boss they are actually pretty non helpful and nonchalant. Regardless of the day the tables are surrounded by locals who dont leave. They are pretty nice but they gamble like this is their livelihood. Not a very fun place. Compared to all the casinos we frequent this is by far the lowest quality. But still an easy and worthwhile stay if want to visit the city not very good if you want to gamble. There is also a new $9.99 amenity fee....there are no amenities only a fitness room (room not center) if that's the case every hotel should charge an amenity fee. Ps no one comes here for the gym. Oh yea and this place is smoke galore.
Came in at 8:30pm. Strong smoke smell. Tables was full. Played a bit of slot didn't have fun. Walked to the Bayou Market Express, it's closed. All of the food venues are closed. Walked out very disappointed.
Had billing issues to start, manager lionel helped to correct quickly and he handled it professionally and appropriately. In the room A/C did not work but we reported this and were promptly moved to another room with AC and room was clean. Great service, good price. Good location. Family friendly.
Pleasant stop. Lots of parking. Easy to get to without the local traffic hindering your trip. Friendly staff. Good varied of slot machines especially the older ones. Smaller than your big casinos but can be a nice visit without feeling overly crowded.
With the exception of the cleaning staff and waitresses, the majority of the casino staff are rude and unhelpful. The poor waitresses are understaffed, which makes it extremely hard to get a drink. Jist left after 3 hours and not once did I see one. COVID 19 can bite it!!
