How would you rate Second Baptist Church of Detroit?
Baptist Church that was once a stop on the Underground Railroad and has a plaque detailing its history.
A historical landmark for African American worship, education and movement to freedom.
Everything starts with the 1st impression. I called to speak to the financial director. Before I attended my first service ever. I wanted to ask a few questions since tithes and offerings are very important to me. The lady who answered the phone was SO RUDE!! I will never attend, nor give what would have been my substantial contribution to this church.
Awesome absolutely beautiful lovely service
They also have the under ground railroad
Was here for a tour of the Underground Railroad. If you haven't already, I suggest that you take your family to see where the slaves from the slavery era passed through on their way to freedom. Very knowledgeable tour guide, answered all your questions with slave era items and pictures. Excellent experience.
Historical atmosphere of the Church with the history and under ground railway mystique is a Wonderful

The Love of God lives here. Grew up at Second BAPTIST and go there when I'm in Detroit.
