How would you rate De Kalb Women's Specialists?
Since my first review/visit, I have had so many problems with my follow up appointments at this facility. I was charged 2 copays at one visit.
Front desk staff at Hillandale, great. Stone Mtn staff, not as knowledgeable. Getting calls answered, you receive voice mail almost every extension unless scheduling an appointment.
M.D. ordered test and it was over a week before I was called to schedule. Now after receiving results from M.D. by phone, I'm getting calls to schedule an appointment for results and even a letter to remind me. I received those results weeks ago. There appears to be a lack of communication in the office. People have duties but no one is communicating to make sure everyone is on the same page. Sounds pretty dangerous when patient results are apart of this. I worked in a private practice for 5 years and I have seen first hand how the ball gets dropped when people who are involved don't communicate with each other on patients status.
I have more results that I am waiting for, which means I must return. But I will be sure to keep documentation on my visits, test and results until I am complete with this complaint and can move on.
I chose this practice due to convenience and did not read reviews first.
I have been a patient at DeKalb Women's Specialists for over 2 years and I love them! They delivered my 2nd baby which was a vaginal birth after a cesarean and everything was successful. I am always very satisfied with the service that I receive at their office and I would recommend them to anyone. The only thing that can get a little irritating is the wait. But it is not a long wait every time. The doctors are knowledgeable and passionate about their work and the entire staff is approachable, compassionate, empathetic, and friendly. If you are looking for a new doctor they would be a good pick!

I love Dekalb Women's specialists. I have been coming here for 8 years. They delivered both of my kids, my brother and sister, and my partner's sister. I guess it's safe to say that they've been in the family for at least 15 years.
I became a patient in 2013 after discovering I was pregnant with our baby girl. Everyone I came in contact with was extremely nice, patient, and thoughtful. The wait time to see the doctor is pretty lengthy but I contribute that to the doctor being thorough with each and every patient.
The staff at this office is horrible in Decatur. They dont return phone calls and they are never at there desk. However Dr. Scott is wonderful his staff sucks.
Been a patient here for 9 years and things have changed a lot. Maybe I don't like change or something, but it's getting a little frustrating. I wish things were the way they were when I first became a patient. The staff are nice and all, it just seems like the changes are always causing issues.
They are horrible!! I was hung up on when needed clearance forms for the dentist and instead of putting me in a waiting room or another room for my glucose test they put me in a storage cltest....you never meet the doctor and they make you wait hours just to hear your babys heartbeat (hours) very ridiculous!
I know that when there a medical issue the staff go beyond to make sure there patient is in good health I greatly appreciate everyone for the support and the help.
Extremely nice , they make sure your takin care of.
If you would like to keep your baby find another doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait time is extremely too long!
When I got there everyone was very pleasant. Until I was waiting in the room for almost an hour or more. Then the Doctor told me that he could not figured what was going on with me. You would thing that he was going to suggests an ultrasound. But no. He prescribed some antibiotics and told me to come back in a month. Then I was at the pharmacy for several hours because the prescription was not in. I am still in pain . I feel like Dr. Scott did not show any care or concerns about my wellbeing.
Great place. I love Dr Scott he always makes you feel super comfortable and the staff was very pleasant.
Staff is pleasant. Doctors are knowledgeable. No complaints.
I've been going here for roughly 8 yrs. The staff has changed tremendously. Some locations are better than others. Wait time varies. Sometimes they over schedule patients. I've waited between 10 mins to an hr. I've witnessed staff being unprofessional when it comes to staying within HIPAA guidelines. But of course that depends on the location you go to. Only problems I have had is wait time. Doctors are great.

By far the WORST doctors appointment I have ever been to. I will never again to here or recommend going here. Had an appointment at 1:50 was not seen until 3pm and it was not crowded at all in fact I was only the third person in the waiting room . When I finally get called back to a room upon entering the nurse hurried and pulled the paper off the bed to discard it being the room was not cleaned up after the last patient had left very unsanitary , furthermore she did not wipe down the bed at all. Upon the Nurse Practitioner Dr. JENAE Miller she came in and was not thorough at all. As far as birth control options she only explained one and gave one sample but did not write a prescription as requested by me when the appointmented was made and upon request after she entered the room. There was no questions as to when to come back or how I would receive test results or how long it would take .
This is the worst obgyn office I've ever seen in my life. 1) they never answer their phone... let alone it never fails that you'll be on hold for at least 45 minutes before someone finally answers. 2. Witnessed condescending attitudes from doctors towards the nurse aides.... I do not and will not recommend this place to anyone who needs obgyn care.
Dr. Albert Scott, is an amazing physician. I had an myomectomy two weeks ago he took wonderful care of me. He prayed with me and my family before the surgery. He always had a pleasant smile on his face. He answered all my questions and related to me being nervous. I really appreciate him and his team. Cheers to being pain free #lithonialocation
The wait is unacceptable! The staff is very friendly. And they don’t answer the phone or return phone calls.
They made a mistake with my appointment told me the wrong location and when I came in they told me everything was ok then I got a letter in the mail saying they can’t give me services anymore so I called and my doctor dropped me at 7 months pregnant.
Just no. They treat you as if their busy
The wait time is to long.. Better not have any plans for the day. Because you will not be able to make any other plans. And the staff never answer the phone or return your calls. I will never come to this practice again NEVER!!!!
Horrible doctor office... The receptionist that answered the phone was very rude. She hung up in my face 2 times... I would not recommend anyone that needs prenatal care to use this doctor office.... They have no care for your health n your unborn well being
Dr.Seivwright is amazing the staff is very laid back they do what they supposed to. The wait is kinda long but it's a doctors office everybody deserve a honest diagnosis....Glad I found them young
First of all, let me say that this practice as a whole usually gives their patients a wonderful experience. However, I will NEVER have another visit with Dr. Kathleen Johnson. I was informed that I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy and her bedside manner is horrible. She gave me instructions on what to do with the news of my miscarriage (pass my baby at home without medical assistance, take medication to induce contractions so that I can pass the baby, or schedule a D&C to have the fetus removed surgically). She told me to call and speak with Erin to schedule the appointment if I decided to go with the D&C. I decided to do the procedure and called the same day to schedule, as instructed by Dr. Kathleen Johnson. My appointment was scheduled for the next day. When I arrived, I was charged a fee, waited 45 minutes to be taken to a room, at which time I was asked why I was there. As you can imagine, a miscarriage is traumatic enough without having to constantly explain, to medical professionals who have access to your records, why you are in their medical facility. After explaining twice that we were there to have our procedure as we were instructed to do, we were then told that the procedure is not conducted in their office, and that we paid a $96 office visit to wait an hour and 15 minutes to sign a consent form. Now I have to wait an indeterminate amount of time to have someone call me to schedule the procedure. During the entire encounter, Dr. Kathleen Johnson was inconsiderate, unapologetic, apathetic, and condescending. I will never have another visit with her or visit the Lithonia office of this practice again. The Decatur office and Stone Mountain offices are more caring and efficient.
Staff is nice and I like Dr. Reynolds, but please be prepared to wait if you come here. It's normal for me to wait 30 min to be called back then another 30...read this and 13 more
