How would you rate Cove Lounge?
Cozy, great atmosphere, good music, food, drinks. The staff members, friendly. Downstairs is small but a fun experience without drama. Great place to check out.
My experience at cove lounge was a pleasant one, i came here once to hang out with friends on a lady's night and the music was great and the drinks were good. the price for the drinks are little high but they are strong. I want to visit during happy hour. i am gonna attempt to reach them to inquire about a birthday and i will let everyone know how it goes.
I came to this place one night during happy hour. The cocktails were strong and made well for the price. The vibe was also great, mostly locals from the area. As for the appetizers served during happy hour, they are small so I wouldn't make a whole meal out of it.
I made a reservation for my 30th birthday this past weekend. It took a while to really get ahold of someone to speak to (between calling and emailing) but once I got in touch with the reservations rep she was pretty accommodating and pleasant to speak to. I had a fun time but mostly because of the company I brought with me and the music mix. I reserved space for ten people, but there was only enough seating for 7 at the tables where we were positioned. I was told that part of the bar area was reserved for me, which would have made it enough for 10 but the hostess wouldn't ask the people sitting there to move from the 3 seats belonging to my party! I asked her several times throughout the night about making it available since I was paying for it. We got there at 10:00pm and weren't able to snag 2 of the 3 seats (ourselves) until 12:15am and our reservation was over at 1:00. The bouncers started holding the line to get downstairs at some point during the night and two friends could not get downstairs. No one I spoke to seemed willing to help so my friends ended up having to leave. It's a nice looking place, a bit small but nice for bringing your own groups to two step with. Lots of women, but the crowd was mixed age wise. The food was good. Most of the drinks were good. I wish that we had gotten the space that was promised to us, I think it would have been a much better experience, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to go back. Oh and someone tried to steal my friend's phone! Not the fault of the venue but that's not really the atmosphere in which I want to hang out. Two stars for the food and the friendliness of the reservation hostess. Negative 3 for everything else.
I have been trying to make reservations for over a week by calling 3-4 times daily and the phone rings and then the voicemail says that I can't leave a message. I tried to contact them via their website with no response. I was trying to book a party of 15-20 for a Thursday afterwork celebration. This is an absolutely horrible way to do business.
Unprofessional...host was rude and cluesss. Save your time
Great Place Chill An Eat an The Owners Are Great
The hostess need some home training and people social skills. Had a very negative experience.
Don't go here avoid the attitude. Clearly the manager just hires women who are pretty but unqualified. He said he would talk to her but didn't get the message that a bad can't do attitude from your hostess equals bad experience. I hope this place goes out of business and back to a hole in the wall On Lenox like it used to be.
Had the pleasure of visiting this establishment one late night. Great tapas availble. Pleasantly strong drinks.
You MUST fix your door so that it CLOSES after a customer comes in. I LITERALLY have gotten up out of my seat to close the door SEVERAL TIMES and that is NOT okay. I cannot enjoy the great food and drinks when I am getting up to close your door. #supercold #itaintsummertime #getittogether
I recommend the shrimp! Good music and mature crowd.
Great place, great music, great drinks, great fun. Only there is no place to sit unless you reserved a booth. Also no seats at the bar so be prepared to stand. Security is very good though, a drunk guy got rude with me and they handled it quick.
Great food! Good drinks, great staff. Definitely one of my favorite places
A cool place. Go after 12 because it's a late nite spot. I ordered two Hennessy neat and I got a 30 dollar bill lol. It's cool though
Loved this place good people, good food and drinks, and one of the best times I've had in a long time n the owner is amazing her peraonality, professionalism, her smile the way she makes u feel like your part of the family n not just another costumer honestly can't say enough good things about this place
Great atmosphere, beautiful, grown and sexy crowd, great music, and the food is amazing! ....... Loved it !
The food was not at all what I would have expected. The service was slow and seemed as if the bartender the server and the clean up crew was the same person. Wings were drenched in sauce other appetizers were also just thrown together. The down stair club scene is great but extremely small. It felt almost like a 10 grade house party.
This place is for an older crowd. Not for young people. Maybe 26-? To even get a seat, you have to reserve it. I went there once and I wasn't feeling it. The vibe was off. The music was good but we didn't stay.
Had drinks strong and good, fish sliders very good, chicken nice. Service slower once it gets busy, ambience and music ideal for a Friday night.
I didn't dislike the place and I wish I could give them more stars bc apps, music, and drinks are good but I went there Friday for happy hour at like 5pm and it lasts until 8pm but at like 730pm, I was asked by the dark skin waitress with dreads/braids to basically begin checking out because they have a reservation at 8pm. She wasn't even my original waitress. I felt like I was being harassed to leave just because they had to prepare for this alleged crowd that never even showed up. They even told me that "next door was really poppin". I mean I honestly saw so many customers walk out between 8pm and 10pm because they saw like 5 reserved tables for a crowd that never showed up. They made 2 other parties leave from what I saw and moved my friend and I to another table in the middle of the place which was so uncomfortable. I was never told about reservations in the first place. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I felt rushed and they were actually clearing my table all while I was still trying to have my drink and finish my fries. Not good, I mean they gave me a shot on the house but that's just not good enough in my opinion. 😒😔
I love this spot! The atmosphere and ambiance was AWESOME!!!
The music was good I ordered the smothered chicken and my hubby ordered the steak. The waitress was nice and the chef came out to thank us for coming definitely looking forward to going back #Datenight
Great place to go for drinks and good finger foods. One of the drink makers could use some people skills, not very sociable. But would go back again. They also have three levels of entrainment. Front bar, back bar with and a dance floor.
Had a blast, drinks, atmosphere and employees were amazing
The manager Craig is amazing and very helpful. Agnes is a great bartender you must try her Watermelon Margarita. Only one bad comment the Lobster Mac and cheese is tasty but they don't give you a lot during happy hour. Please improve this!!!!
I went in a friday night. Definitely an older crowd here, with music to match.
They need to get it together seriously. Only one poor waitress serving so many people and we have to wait for over an hour for our food. The music selections are okay but the service is crazy. The funny party part is an 18 percent gratuity was added to our bill. Mind you we are a party of three. Poor waitress forget to bring one of the food that was ordered and she barely checked on us throughout the night.
Food is good, drinks are good and music is great
Good everything music food and drinks atmosphere excellent
Good music & strong drinks. Service in the front a lil iffy at times
Good food nice ambience. cool little intimate spot in Harlem.
A really nice place to enjoy food, drinks, and great music.. I always enjoy myself at Cove and all of the people that works there is really nice...
Drinks and atmosphere is amazing. Need to perfect some of their dishes like th lobster Mac and cheese.
Great place to be after work. Love the urban atmosphere. The music is always on point and nice open area in the back to dance at. The drinks are nice and strong as well as plenty of choices. Nice place to take a date.
This is a hidden gem in Harlem. It's really a nice spot to unwind at, get together with friends, celebrate anything or simply to explore. Ask for the bartender Michelle in the back part of the bar. She makes great drinks. Yolanda is awesome too. Great staff and a great ambiance.
Very good place to have drinks, food & dancing nice music u can go alone or group
Of people you will have an amazing time.
There is seating in the back and a downstairs room for parties, but the best fin is at the main bar. Good music. Nice crowd.
Came from NC to celebrate for a friend's Birthday. The security guard was rude & unprofessional. He wasn't trying to hear we were there for a party. He instisted we had to wait. When after we asked for a manager no one ever came. After being outside in the cold for 1hr 10min we decided to leave. The hostess of the party did come and get the other party goers 30mis after we left. I
I went for the first time last year and it was freaking amazing I had so much fun and the blue Hawaiian Long Island Iced Tea will have you feeling super lit though it's expensive.. But worth it.
Unfortunately I had the worst experience ever at The Cove on Friday night! The Security assigned to the stairs was extremely rude. From the moment I approached the stairs he was NASTY. No customer service skills at all. He yelled and shined flashlights in your eyes. When asked to please stop, he responded, “CALM DOWN!” When he replied this way I was convinced he’s never been trained. No respect for his own people. If I wasn’t African American I’m certain he’d reach out his hand to assist with a yes my pleasure ma’am! If you don’t like your job find another one. Don’t ruin ones place of business which is not yours with a bad attitude! The owners of The Cove worked hard to establish a fine place to dine and sip. Although downstairs is not my type of environment. Neither is a rude employee of which I had to call out. Yes I posted his picture on YELP. He is rude and absolutely disrespectful. However Andre (stated head of security) was helpful but I’m sure he never reported my concerns to the Mgr or Owners. I frequent The Cove for business meetings and celebrate events. Never ever again! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I bad apple can and will spoil it for you!
I went here for an event, and the bartenders were good, drinks were good. The music was rockin! I will definitely go back.
Had a private event on the 24th of February wait staff the best. Food, amazing, but for private events make sure you get everything in writing. My mistake.
The music is great!!! there drinks address delicious and the socializing is incredible. Bartenders are magnificent!!
My friend had his birthday party there, staff was on point with his guests, music was great food as well
Honestly I know Cove Lounge is well...a Lounge however I go here for one thing and it's their red velvet Chicken and Waffles. I'm not even sure if it's on the menu anymore but I still order it and I always get it and it's amazing and delicious Perfection really. It's two levels that's open on a Saturday night. The decor is nice relaxing lounge feel. Music pretty good it's a great neighborhood spot to go and chill with friends. If I'm in Harlem I always go and I recommend it.
Beautiful place! Always clean with a pleasant staff. I try a new drink and it's always delicious (NOT watered down ever!). The crowd is usually respectable and dressed well for the location. Food was wonderful. Music is great, however, it's always too loud. I thinks it's too much for a social area. It's ridiculously loud in the back section & kind of loud in the front section.
I went on a Saturday night for dancing. This is a bar, not a lounge. Doesn't even have enough couches to be considered a lounge in my book. There's no dancefloor at all. Just space around the bar that people choose to dance in. That's why it gets so crowded. It's a small place. Wouldn't go back. If you just want to have a drink/eat and listen to music then this could work for you. But I need to dance too so it's a no go for me.
Drinks are really good. Music was good. The crowd is not very diverse, but still a decent vibe. Had someone drop a glass inches from my foot, still waiting for staff to clean it up lol. There isn't a whole lot of space to sit and the downstairs is a bit of a tight space.
This place is so chill and laid back. Drinks are strong, Atmosphere is wonderful. A bit small but I did notice they have a back room. Will be back again soon
Cove Lounge is great! Excellent mix of music. Atmosphere and energy is always on point. The food and drinks are great. I haven't had one bad experience with them. Go and enjoy yourself!
The Cove Lounge was really nice it is very small but the energy was great the bartender was amazing with the drink orders and attentiveness. The music was good but it was all over the place. The people (locals) seemed to enjoy it a lot. I am sure there are other places in Harlem to hang out so that would explain why they closed early one night
The atmosphere was really dope. The DJ was on point and the drinks were amazing. This was a great after work spot.
Had an amazing time. Right in the heart of Harlem. Great music, delicious food, upscale, clean, well staffed, it felt safe. It's a fun place. I will definitely visit again. I highly recommend everyone should go check it out.
The atmosphere was very nice. I enjoyed the different type of wings, the fish was good. I really enjoyed the cove punch. I'm not a drinker but I had 5 of them. It was a really nice place I'm from queens.I will definitely be back.
Local spot thst is great for drinks and small bites. Happy hour is from 5 pm until 8 pm week days. Enjoy the sidewalk seating on warm nights. Great NYC energy and lots of eye candy entering or passing by. The waitress was on it with our order.
My cousin was looking for a safe and fun place to celebrate her birthday and "Cove Lounge" is the place to do it. The food was delicious, drinks were good and the music was great. Everything about this place was excellent.
Craig was so polite and Chef Kyle was very friendly with me and my cousin and made us feel welcomed.
I would definitely return everytime I'm in New York!!!
Their website is outdated and they no longer do brunch anymore. I came with a group of people and we were disappointed at this fact since it was communicated earlier that brunch was still something this establishment did. However the manager was understanding and accommodated my party as best as he could. The food was pretty good and I had the lobster Mac and cheese which is one of their more popular selections and I wasn't disappointed. It was a hearty portion and comes with a salad. They had a DJ who played a good selection of music and the staff is pretty attentive. Outside of their website issues, I'd recommend this place.
The Cove is a great spot in Harlem! My cousin recently held and event here for a give back to the community for children. The back room area was spacious and the food and drinks were great!
I was also here on several separate occassions for their happy hour. The chicken and red velvet waffles with The Cove Punch is a great combo! They also have a happy hour menu. It's a nice intimate setting and has outdoor seating is great in the summertime!
A tight but cozy lounge. It's a multi level spot with various pockets of people gathered in different spaces to party and enjoy the vibe.
There's options to dine curbside or within. We stopped by for drinks and to experience the space. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed.
A go to spot in Harlem for after work, or on the weekend. The DJ on Saturday nights is really good, I always end up dancing the whole night only sitting down to rest haha. The food is also good. The truffle fries are to die for, and the honey hoisin wings are excellent! Will definitely always suggest as a place to go hang if your in the neighborhood.
Nice environment. Mixed aged crowd. Loved the 3 bar areas. Had a good time.
Great music, drinks & crowd. I had a great time here with friends and hubby- will definitely return. One of the many great spots in Harlem.
My go to spot for weekend celebrating! Nice space, usually a nice crowd whether after work or late night.
Great Music!, the DJ played a good variety of music! I had a night out with a girlfriend, she was telling me The Cove Lounge had a great atmosphere.
I didn't taste any of the food as I just came from eating. The lighting in the bathroom isn't great I was unable to see if I needed to reapply my lipstick. There are flatscreen TV's available so it was great to still be able to watch the game. It's a tight spot with limited seating and limited room however there is two floors.
Great music. The drinks and food are awesome during happy hour. Get the sesame wings
The ambiance is good not for a younger crowd though. Filled with people in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Music was kind of boring. I am in my 20's and If I go out, i do like to "turn up" (not into the ratchetness though). Dont waste your time.
Just ok. Had the fried Whiting with fries. Fish taste like it was fried in old grease - but hey. I'm still going back to support. Maybe their brunch is where the food comes alive. I'll keep you posted
Very nice place... Music was great... Atmosphere just right.
They could better with crowd management.
Drinks are good and music was ok too
Nice atmosphere. Great place for late night drinks and dancing. DJ and dance floor below. Always a good time.
The food, staff, and DJ were awesome. The atmosphere was nice. People didn't really dance even though music was great.
Great place to chill excellent food, drinks nice and strong just the way I like them. The service and music was great as well. Definitely a place to go if you want to have a great time. ❤❤❤❤🥂🥂🥂🍻🍻🍻🍾🍾🍸🍸🍹🍹🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻
Great vibe, the food is excellent, nice atmosphere. The bartender was awesome!
Very nice cozy little lounge, good food. I had a great time. Good DJ. Will definitely go there again, soon.
Nice place to visit for a chill time. Gets a lot crowded after 8pm. Best time to go is between 6-8pm for happy hour.
Great. Chi Ali book thing. A bunch of folks there. Excellent vibes.
HAD A AWESOME TIME!!! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I WENT ON A FRIDAY NITE & THE DJ HAD ME ON THE DANCE FLOOR CONSTANTLY!! GREAT ATMOSPHERE & AMBIENCE. KUDOS TO OWNERS, STAFF, PHENOMENAL CHEFS & MANAGEMENT. MANAGER BILLY WAS ATTENTIVE & GRACIOUS HOST. THANKS COVE FOR A MEMORABLE NIGHT!!!
Very chill spot. QUALITY FOOD! Service was amazing. DJ could have been better but he took my requests so my girls and I had a good time! I would definitely go again.
Very nice spot, food is delicious, and the drinks are on point ! But the security guard at the door is very unprofessional and jail birdish. The head of security is great and the owner is very welcoming . All of the bartender's make real good drinks. The atmosphere is AMAZING also the DJ was on point he kept everyone moving but As you know it's always on bad apple out the bunch. That security guard at the door needs to be retrained! But this is still the best place to party in Harlem on a Saturday night hands down .
Attended a private party in one of the lounges. Very nice space. The finger foods were plentiful and delicious. The owner was very accommodating. Will return.
Chill spot for every and any night. Reserve the lounge area for any occasion. For a "turnt up" session, check out the basement club scene and experience an unforgettable fun vibe night filled with booze, music and good vibes.
Cove has a very nice atmosphere. Their small plates are delicious and the drinks are good. I particularly enjoy their Caribbean Happy Hour. The music is great and I dance all night!
I really enjoyed myself. The lounge is a bit small, but the atmosphere, food, and service makes you look pass the small space. I'm definitely going back.
It's crazy because the main reason I go here is the absolutely delightful brussel sprouts. I have left Brooklyn at an event to catch there kitchen to get these outstanding treats. Atmosphere is always festive and their staff is always excellent. But the Brussels sprouts keep them in my top 5 must visit when your in NYC
Nice spot for happy hour. Healthy pour for wine. Cocktails are not great quality. Quite sugary. Staff was polite.
Very cool spot.. Nice update. Strong Caribbean influence
Had a pretty fun dinner here recently. The food took a while but the chef did come and apologize for the delay. The food was great and the bartenders were personable. Will definitely come back again. I would recommend reserving a private table for larger groups as it was hard to hear each other by the entrance.
Stopped in here for an early evening drink. Thought it was a small bar, but the place just keeps going. There was a big Caribbean party in the second room and downstairs was heaving. Everybody was cool and seemed to be having fun. Bartenders and servers were nice.
The Cove is a small lounge that reminds of the cool old school Harlem hotspots. The drinks are reasonably priced and the happy hour specialty drinks are among the mire creative in Harlem. The bar food is tasty and service quick. Get here early. The Cove is popular afterwork and its smaller venue compared to next door Corner Social makes it hard to get a seat. There is a back room at the rear of back bar that can be reserved for private events further limiting seating. The only knock on the Cove is the DJ in the back bar area. The music is usually great old school hip hop and r&b but it is also too loud for a venue this small. The music is dance club loud instead of bar/lounge comfortable. Go to the Cove. You'll like it.
Food is surprisingly good. Good music. Great after work spot.
Cove lounge is a local favorite. They offer happy hour specials on food and drinks which are priced just right. Outdoor seating, three bars and a lower...read this and 218 more
