How would you rate Jamaica Jerk Choice?
The food is always delicious but the service is horrible. I have worked in the food industry for the past 20 years and have never seen such consistently terrible customer service. The girls at the counter are rude and extremely unprofessional. The wait times are very long, you should expect to wait triple the length of time that you are told. While i really enjoy the food, i will no longer patronize this establishment. I refuse to continue spending money for rude and slow service, despite how good the food tastes.

First time eating there was last night. I ordered the Jerk Chicken dinner with Rice Beans and Cabbage and it was delicious and plentiful. I just finished the leftovers for lunch and it tasted even better which prompted my review. I would advise calling ahead because there were a lot of patrons and your order will take at least 20-25 minutes. But it's a gem in the South burbs
I stop here everytime before I head back home to the STL! ♥
The food is good but the customer service is awful
Terrible place to go. The girls dispatching the food in the front desk are not trained, no manners, very unprofessional. They lie to you. I was told my food will be ready in few mins when I walked in to pick up my order which was placed 40mins ago on the phone. After i paid for the food. I waited for one and half hour for my order , just standing in the cold because they dont have chairs for customers to sit. highly dissapointed. There was no update from the girls who dispatch the food, they where busy scratching their hair and rolling their eyes. I noticed the guys in the kitchen don't have a hair cover and also the girls in the front dispatchin the Food.
Terrible place to order food. Please people don't waste your time and money..... there are better jerk chicken place all over. Please don't go to this place , you work hard for your money and your time is precious.
I took my time to write this review because I will never go back to this resturant. I want the world to know what goes on there. Please share your story , we consumers deserve better service.
Customer service is beyond terrible. From the moment the answer the phone until you walk out the door with their mediocre jerk. The food is just ok & I ate here occasionally because of the proximity to my home. Never again. Save yourselves from eating here & dealing with their rude & ignorant staff.
Terrible service and over priced peas and rice are supposed to come with the dinner not to be considered as a separate side. Been eating jerk in chicagoland for over 20 years from Maxines to Tropic Island. Not to mention I dot order food from places with bullet proof glass so not very personable at all.
As much as I like their food. Their customer service & professionalism is horrible. I may go back but for now my money is going down the street to JR Jerk.
I have order from Jerk Choice numerous times. I have tried to give this business the benefit of the doubt because they are a black owned business. However, the level of unprofessionalism is troubling. There have been several times where I have tried to work with them even after they displayed unprofessionalism. I ordered food for a Christmas party of 100 in 2012. The food was not ready on time and they forgot to give me two of my sides, which they apologized for. In order to make good they gave me an extra side. I had to have someone to go and pick up the sides an hour after the party started. In November of 2014, I order food for a doctor's office that I conduct business with. I order food for 15 people. Jerk Choice in once again forgot a side of cabbage and the gravy. The food was once again late. I had to wait for the cabbage and gravy.
Foolishly, I ordered food once again on March 11, 2016. I placed the order at the Tinley Park location. I ordered food to feed 20 to 25 people. Once again, I got there and the food was not ready. The order was to be picked up at 1:00. I left out later and placed a back up call to give them time. It was still late. As the cashier starts to bring the food to me I asked for a box to secure the food. This is the way the location in Dolton had always done it for me. She informs me that they do not have boxes for the food. I asked again for her to secure it to prevent the food from spilling while I drove. She gets an attitude and says that "We don't have nothing. " I ask what about plastic bags, paper bags to lay on my floor, or a garbage bag. She hunches her shoulders, says no, and goes to the next customer. Another customer asked her, "Can you give her something, she just order almost $200 worth of food." She says, "No next customer." I proceed to take each pan of food to my car. I used a short office box top to place the food in. I did not have any larger boxes to put the food in. I also grab several auto trader magazines to place under the food. I then proceed to call the Dolton location and asked to speak with the manager, Ms. Green. The cashier stated she was not available but asked me about my issue. I explained to her my issues with the cashier at the Tinley Park location. She stated there have been complaints about the cashier in Tinley Park. She apologized and stated that she would have Ms. Green to call me back. After the conversation, I began to drive to my meeting. Halfway in to the drive ( I was only going from Tinley Park to Chicago Heights which is under 15 miles) some the food shifted and spilled all over my floor. Rice, Beans, and a pan of gravy covered my floor. I called again to Dolton and was informed that there was nothing that could be done. I was angry at this point and stated that I was finished patronizing their business. I tried to give their business a chance because I want to support black businesses. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for their lack of professionalism. However, I am done. I will give my money to those who deserve it. Not because we share the same color skin but because they are happy to provide great customer service with a wonderful attitude.
The food is girl. But the women who work the front counter are rude. I agree with others, they really need to learn customer service. They need to understand that we DON'T have to eat here. There are so many other good Jamaican places near. So I stopped doing business with them. The women there need to learn how to respect their customers. I know all Jamaicans aren't this rude because my Boyfriend's family is Jamaican.
This place gave me food poisoning. I will never eat here again in my life. They had a teenage boy cooking the chicken, which he didn't no what he was doing. They are lucky I didn't report their restaurant under review. I give this place 2 thumbs down on their food. But the only good thing I can say about this restaurant is that they have spicy jerk sauce.
I didn't even order my food and I don't want to go there. The girl on the phone was very rude and could care less about my questions. They need better customer service and I would know. I work in a restaurant. If I could give this place zero stars I would!
So I made the top review a year ago. On today, Sept. 2, 2017. I finally tried their food and it was HORRIBLE. My order was completely WRONG and the food taste AWFUL. I'm so upset.
The food is very good here. The service is absolutely horrible. I paid for my food with a credit card because I had absolutely no cash. When I ordered my jerk tacos I realized that they had given me no sauce. When I asked for sauce I was told that it was $0.50. But since I had no cash I could not give $0.50 for a sauce. If I have been told this before my order was complete I would have paid $0.50 for the sauce. I asked the clerk if I could have a break because I had no cash and he said no. Two jerk tacos cost me $15. When I got home the tacos were dry so I put ranch sauce on them and was able to eat them. I won't be giving them any more of my money for quiet sometime if ever again.
Seriously food good but i expect that if i order oxtail..it should come with rice and peas and not 3 damn piece of meat!
ok so I gave them a try a while back and wasn't pleased the chicken was good but the the sides are just awful. So I thought I would give them a second try and I thought since it was early the food would be fresh and good but boy was I wrong I ordered the jerk lunch and only got 3 little pieces of meatless chicken practically bones I will not be going back to this location I will stick to my favorite Tropic island off of Torrence better prices and more food
Their food has gone waaayyy down. The chicken is dry, sometimes burnt, the gravy over the rice was tomato based and the overall taste of the chicken no longer taste like authentic Jamaican food. Not seasoned well. I didn't enjoy it. They didn't have bread and haven't had bread for over a month the rude young woman who lacked customer service skills told me. When I asked if an extra sauce could be given to take place for not having bread the rude and flip mouth young woman stated "no, bread is a courtesy". Welp the thrill is gone for me for this place. Mediocre food + poor customer service= losing a customer.
My homie just brought me a jerk wrap and it is the bomb! So good! It's jerk chicken, rice and cabbage rolled in a wrap. #Fye
Cashiers attitudes are TERRIBLE......customer service sucks. & the food has become VERY undone and not good! Losing loyal customers!!! They need an intense meeting and new rehires!!
This is not worth no $8.25 the Mac & cheese dry with no season and the yams are nasty SMH they didn't even have any white meat and gave me this little portions of food my kids can eat this and get full I'm a grown person that's hungry and want my stomach to be satisfied this is not going to satisfy me this wasn't even worth my money nor my time I could have went to Harvey and get a dinner for about eight or nine bucks and would have had a nice portion of food I won't be shopping at this joint no more not one of my favorites I'll stick to what I know
First off this rice and beans tastes like tomato sauce, everything is too salty, they’ve been out of bread for 6mos, the cashier is kinda rude!! This is my last time spending my money here such a disappointment. Then they’re selling this dry macaroni smh
Tried the new location in Oak Forest. Been waiting for them to open for months. Chicken was overcooked and there was no bread. The thing with this restaurant is when it’s good, it’s really good, but when it’s bad you’re thinking, “I’m not going back”. If they can master they’re customer service (workers are either smoking too much grass, or are completely uninterested in their job) and be more consistent in their cooking, they would be one the best jerk places in the Chicagoland area. They also need somebody’s grandmother’s Mac and Cheese recipe. Aside from that, I’ll give them another chance, so bring your A-game.
Very rude , can’t take orders , to busy gossiping!!! I called in because my order was wrong , they kept hanging up. Then I asked to speak to someone in charge , the girl was like ok hold on , then picked up the phone pretending to be someone else. Customer service is terrible, and food is getting worse every time they switch locations. SMH. I THINK IL STICK WITH JERK VILLA OR Caribbean jerk Palace
I'll start with the good news.. the food was just perfect! I mean, I literally would come back weekly if I could, but the bad news is you'll almost wait a week for your food. I've always had at least a 2hour wait, after being told my food would be ready in 45mins or less. The staff is very impatient with one another and the customers... I've never ordered a meal and seen all happy faces.
My Favorite place for Jerk. Just be prepared to wait.. and wait.. and wait lol. But the food is great
The best Jerk Chicken I have ever had. The Yams are better at the other location. The rice is decent. Gets you nice and full. Can't even finish the plate because they give you large portions. The workers there are very nice to me. The chef has given me extra food before just to be nice. Family place.
I stay far away from the restaurant, but I definitely make that drive every time I'm in the mood for some Jamaican Food. It's definitely worth the drive. The only thing they need to improve on is the speed. I would place my order 30 minutes prior and when I would get there, it still wouldn't be ready. My favorite side is there cabbage. My favorite entree' is their curry goat. And definitely for sure for sure get a side of their Jamaican jerk sauce. It's pretty tasty!

Jerk Choice I've always been I wonderful environment the customer service is very good and the food is excellent I read this as a five star restaurant
They do not serve bread with your dinner at this location anymore. The dinners are still good thoigh.
The other reviewers were not exaggerating. We had heard good things and would rather not travel from Hammond to 79th and King Drive for food so tried it. No bread. Jerk sauce has a weird sweet aftertaste to it as does the gravy/sauce on the rice and bean (not plural, very few beans). That sweet taste may just bother me though as I avoid sweetness. The chicken was fine. The cabbage was spicy but no flavor at all. We placed the order at the restaurant, said 20 mins. Waited over an hour. Unfortunately our quest for good jerk locally is still on.
Called an hour ahead of time for two fish dinners, got there food not ready, after I was told it would be ready in 45min. Had to wait almost an additional 25 min to get food. I came late intentionally knowing how slow they can be and still waited. Food is good but service is terribly this happens all the time when I order here. I’d rather find a place that’s reliable with time considering their prices aren’t cheap.

The quality of food has went down. They always had bread before but now they don't have bread at all eventhough it's advertised on there menu. They rarely have any white meat like they don't even prepare for it during opening. The red beans and rice have little to no beans so there basically charging you for rice with a splash of gravy. I stay down the street and a lot of neighborhood people are starting to complain and go elsewhere. This will be there last chance for me hopefully they read this review and make a change.
The food was not fresh and my order took about an hour. Called to talk to the owner and of course she never returned my call. Won't be spending my money there again, back to jerk villa for me.
I've heard good things about this place ,so I decided to try them out. Well 1st thing I've never experience a place of business not having the prices posted for what you're selling. That should have been an eye operner for my 1st time there. I asked for a menu with the prices and I ordered 1/2 white and yams with a ginger beer. I paid $8.50 for 2 small aborted chicken breast and wings the two made the size of one regular breast.
The breast that was servered wasn't cut right. The flavor was 100, but the portion was disappointing. So for that I will not go back. Plus who serves a meal w/o bread? My God you charge enough to buy bread for your customers.
Great food always crowded but worth the wait
The food here is good, however they are completely unorganized, rude, and they never have orders ready at pick up. I placed an order and was told it could be picked up in 45 min. I waited roughly 2 hours, and 15 min (because they’re never on time serving), and it still wasn’t ready. The young lady behind the counter was rude when I explained that the order was taken 2 hours ago, and immediately got in her feelings!! Very unreasonable, unapproachable about being timely, unprofessional, and they honestly could care less about their customers!
Food was great Happy there back open. Sometimes there customer service stick. When there's an issue they act like there's no manager & they just expect if they get your order incorrect u should just accept what they've given you. Shouldn't play wit people money thats how people get hurt.

Service is THE worst in the world. I placed an order at 6:17 pm. At 6:45 a gentleman came in who had ordered over the phone and had proof and they told him they never took his order. I looked at my receipt and was like wow now it’s 6:47 and has been 30 minutes let me check on mine.
Come to find out they hadn’t even given my number to the cooks. I sit down a few more minutes and ask who is in charge that I can speak with. They tell me no one. I said how can you rectify this because it is your mistake. They offer a drink. I told them I’m not accepting that because I drove 45 minutes to patronize them and now I’m waiting 30 minutes for food.
The two young ladies on the front had very bad attitudes. Jade & Isis and were messing up a lot of orders. I asked them to please call the owner so that we could fix it. Finally I got my food at 6:57, 40 minutes after ordering.
I asked 5 times before they called the owner. Of course Jade went off to the side to talk so that I couldn’t hear. I asked to please let me speak with the owner. She refused. I said I would like to speak with them tomorrow please give me the name. They refused to even give a name but wanted me to write down my number. I made sure to take a picture of it because I’m quite sure they will throw it away. When people are spending money no matter how big or small we should not have to accept rude, ignorant and flat out bad customer service.

The service sucks, the young ladies ( I'm being nice) have no customer service skills and rude for no reason. The rice & beans are always tasty but how you serve jerk without jamaican hard sour dough bread? My last visit.

When I first started going here it was great service was great food was great. But as of now the service is terrible. the young ladies are more concerned about having their own conversations instead of taking orders and then they confused the orders. The red beans and rice was not that’s. The gravy was orange looking like some sweet and sour sauce. I will say the cabbage was good
Although the food is good, not worth the nasty attitudes and wait! I called in at 6:38 pm to order my food didn’t get it until 7:48pm. The females that work there are by far the most ghetto, unprofessional ppl I’ve ever come in contact with! It’s clear that no one is held accountable for their behaviors. This is the last time I will be patronizing this establishment.
THE BEST Jamaican Food in the South Suburbs. I drive from Indiana for there Jerk dinner. The jerk sauce is spicy but very flavorful.
Chicken was good, crew was RACIST. I guess they dont take phone orders from white people after 9:30. While staying to eat our food (we arrived at restaurant at 9:48) just after 10 we watched 2 people pick up 2 carry out orders. Hmmm. Good food. So not worth the treatment! Will never go back. Plenty of other jerk chicken places around. Just lost a good paying customer.
Food is great 👍🏾. Haven’t tasted any better jerk chicken and sauce in my life. The customer service is terrible tho! Any way to get in touch with manager?
It's a shame that a place with such delicious food has horrible customer service. Wrong orders for everyone that was there while I was there. Flat out gave us someone else's food. And still managed to mess ours up. I certainly hope they find a staff that can take and prepare customer's food as they ordered it. Complaining will get you no where.
The Food is amazing and while the staff is young they were very professional and accommodating. I sent my son in to pay for my order which I placed by phone and he paid for the wrong order. I had to go in behind him, explain the situation and the staff quickly resolved the issue by cashing out my correct order and refunding me the difference of what I paid. The seasoning, flavors and spice intensity is perfect.
Ordered a white dinner told no white can get you a mixed dinner. Few seconds later a much lighter brother walked in orders white dinner and gets it. Huh apartheid over the chicken. Its a trap im not going to be on the news fighting bout some chicken. Its 2019 and i still cant touch white breast meat
Chicken is always good but after years of being a patron, they now say rice and beans doesn’t come with dinner as most similar restaurants serve. You have to pick rice and beans as a side. I was informed by worker that most of the cooks were fired because all these years they were giving the rice and beans for free. Are you kidding me.
They have delicious food, and a pretty good amount for the price. The issue with this place is sometimes the wait is double what they quote you when you place the order. And they don't compete for your business by making up for long wait times in any way. They should throw in a free soda or side or cookies or something. A lot of ppl waiting said they'd have to find another jerk place. They're losing business to the long wait times and sometimes not answering the phone. Also the person who took my phone order last time can be more pleasant. They weren't rude per se, but that's in my head before calling next time and as a business owner you shouldn't want that hesitation from your customers. But seriously, the food is great.
I ordered from here through the multiple food delivery apps and after speaking with someone on the phone who REASSURED me I would be recieving my food after waiting 4 HOURS blatantly informed the driver "We used that for someone else" and closed the store without any further care or worry. Horrible service, horrible people, and honestly your mac and cheese is trash.
If you did not want to complete the order you could have just cancelled it out and refunded my money so I would have time to order from somewhere else. Your customer service was UNACCEPTABLE!
Friday evening, they are not taking phone ,came in to place waited thirty minute for my food . I live down the street and my food needed to be micro waved, red beans were to salty, that’s all you taste salt, call to speak to the manager, not available,and wouldn’t tell me the managers name. Rude ladies at the service window.
While the food is 6/10 time perfect, the cashiers are very rude, short and not patient at all. I understand that the job can be stressful because of all the orders coming in over the phone and at the window. However, it takes only a minute to open the container to double check with the paying customer that the orders are correct. A smile and thank you can really go along way.
When they mix up an order they give you attitude when you inform them and ask for them to fix it. They now have a sign apologizing for the past and recent customer service... nothing has changed for the better
If I could give them no stars I would! This place is Horrible! From the rude unprofessional cashiers to the horrible slow service and the lack of food!!!! I’m surprised they even make enough money to stay open because every time you go there they’re out of something! And the staff that they have are rude and unprofessional. And it’s pointless to try to call your order In you get there in the 30 mins they tell you it takes to only have to wait even longer for your food to come up. Don’t waste your time go elsewhere because here the only thing they seem to have ready to serve is a long wait with a side of nasty attitude!!!
Ordered over the phone at 5:18 p.m. got to there @ 5:39 the young lady who was very rude at the window said they lost the ticket. Placed the order again to wait until 6:14 ,order was still not done. Everyone who came in after me left before me. I asked to speak to a manger to be compensated at least with 2 drinks since I ordered 2 jerk dinners and cookies. He said sometimes they run behind with there orders. I told him but they lost the ticket and that’s not good customer service. Therefore I asked for a refund. Although they have good food, customer service comes first. I have been going to them for at least 6 years. They have lost a loyal customer. Will not never recommended them to anyone. Would give them 0 stars

It was OK I heard it was great had a piece of chicken from a party said it came from here so I couldn't wait to try them.They didn't have half the stuff on menu that you tried to order. Then people there waiting were complaining about the wait . My cabbage I order with jerk wings were completely over cooked like mush I threw them away! Chicken was OK. Sweet potatoes drowning in oil but edible. Will not be returning . I have two stars they weren't rude to me and chicken and sweet potatoes were ok
Awesome food. I ordered the curry goat with red beans $ rice,and steamed cabbage. Although the food is good the service wasn't good.
This jerk chicken is one of the best I've ever had. Buuuuttttt.....They are so unorganized! I order my food @ 9: 12 got there @ 9:50 and even though i order my food, they had no more food left not even my order. Very unsatisfied. If you can find another place you probably should go.
Im Giving this place Two stars because They Lack Good Customer service. The ladies that answe the phone are unprofessional and ghetto. The Food is Normally Okay but Its not worth the attitude they give you when you place an order! Id rather go to the city and get better Jerk and still get treated decent!
The food there is so good. The employees do a good job with the pace and they perform excellent during high volume.
I love this place! They prepare high class meals, their menu is rich, The cook in that place is very experienced, I love a lot trying all their food. The food is always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the visitors is good. I often go to this place and I was never discontended. I recommend this place.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I BUY JERK CHICKEN FROM!!! ITS ALWAYS FRESH AND JUICY (I ALWAYS GET DARK MEAT)!!! I KNOW THAT WHEN I CALL IN I NEED TO WAIT AND EXTRA 10-15 MINUTES FROM THE TIME THEY GIVE ME FOR PICK UP, LOL BUT ITS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! :-)
Oct 16 1:41pm... I love their food. I can’t believe this lady so rude. 4 of us in the lobby and we’re all in agreement that she’s rude rude. So rude that I’m good on traveling over here again. I’ll settle for another spot closer to me.
The chicken and the shrimp was outstanding,the mac and cheese was kinda dry,as well as the sweet potatoes, i wouldnt rush to go back,but id go back..
The food was delicious as always. However I was told 20 mins wait time and i received my food 1 hour and 17 mins later. I asked the manager for a complimentary drink. She said yes.Although I was frustrated, that was appreciated.
As soon as the conversation started, the woman that I was speaking with was very rude. If this restaurant would actually like to keep customers, and attract new ones, then I recommend they work on their customer service by hiring people who have the decency to treat others with respect.
My experience with this restaurant began Sunda afternoon. I called to place a catering order by phone and was told to come in. Fair enough I thought and so I asked if there was a cut off time for placing the order. I was told there was none and the young lady didn't know what time they closed on Christmas Eve. My order was small and when I arrived at 1:30 and was told they weren't taking any more orders. I explained the situation to the young lady taking orders and a manager asked what was the problem which I explained it to her. She told the cashier to take the order. After giving her the particulars I added that I wanted gravy on the side and not on the rice. The young lady was Curt and replied they don't put gravy on the rice and I thought okay. I interjected that when I've purchased the small rice in the past there was gravy on it and was told no, we won't put gravy on it. Making a long story short my husband picked up the order and it was covered with gravy. I called the restaurant and told the cashier I wanted to return it. She started whispering you have to have a receipt. I asked her to speak up and I didn't hear her correctly. I have a receipt and I am on my way there. When I arrived I asked for the manager and was told she wasn't there. After explaining my need to return the rice I was told I could not. The young lady who initially took the order lied and said I never said I wanted anything on the side. At that very moment I thought it's Christmas Eve and let me handle this in the very best possible way. I told the manager that I was disappointed to have been given so much misinformation. That I began this endeavor on Sunday. She corrected the order and I thanked her. The young lady who took the order gave me two half pans of food one rice and one small pan of gravy. I had to ask her for a bag which she slid through the coin tray and acted as though she was annoyed. You can have the finest food and have your staff to take your business to a one star.
That cashier needs to be trained. Any job can be made harder with the wrong attitude. Leave the attitude at home. You can't have a successful business with non caring attitudes.
Food was great. Customer service was fine. The cashier could stand to listen more deeply, but she was nice, overall, and got me everything I needed.
The plantains tasted old, they were dried out and hard. The mac and cheese was flavorless. The one saving grace is that the salmon was good; food was too expensive for the quality. Not returning.

Working for doordash I've learned they have horrifying wait time.... One staff member by the name of Colleen (hope I got the name right) she's young but has a sense of urgency and continuously looks to get me out of there on time.... The food is always great says the customers that I delivered too... So order ahead of time if you're not into waiting.
Last week was the first time in this good restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the generous service, with the high quality cooking and wine and with the comfortable payment. We will definitely go back there soon.
The food is very , very Good. Ordered the Oxtails dinner , Cabbage, and yams.
The only problem was in the Dinner I was given 3 Oxtails bones, very, very, very small, barely any meat.😫. But the bones had a Nice flavor. Thank God the rest of the meal was tasty.Yum
I waited about an hour for this food just to be told it wouldn't be made because they'd ran out of supplies. this completely interrupted my lunch break. This restaurant continue to have problems it's either my order isn't made correctly or they don't have the ingredients they need to function. This situation needs to be ratified
Employees arguing with customers. Food took over an hour. Jerk sauce open and on the floor. How are they open? Never again...
The food is absolutely five stars, but the wait was long and they were out of several things on their menu, which upset a few customers in line. I almost left without ordering, but I'm happy that I did order something else and gave them a chance.
Again, the food is delicious, but the service needs a little assistance. Not only were they out of several things on a busy evening, but I saw one customer return, because he was given the wrong order. My suggestions are that you give them a try, but check your food before leaving and definitely call ahead of time to assure they have what you want, and it's waiting when you arrive. I recommend this place to everyone I know for events. Every time my friends and family members pick up they prepaid orders they food it’s always a hour or more wait. So today I told my friend I will pick up her order that she paid for four days in advance. I get here At 2:52pm and it’s no order at all. No one knows where to pick up or place orders at at 12mins I give the cashiers my receipt and she told me the order is coming out it’s now 3:57 and still no order my pick up time was 3pm. To make matters worst the cashiers has the sorest attitude, because of Covid-19 we waiting out side in 88 weather. I will never come back again.
I placed an order at 6:45pm I gave it tome before I came. It’s now 8:53pm and I STILL don’t have my food. They young lady told me 25-30 minutes and it still wasn’t ready. They should tell people honest times. Then to top it off after food not being done for 2 HOURS she come out with an attitude and tell us they don’t have any more of the sides I ordered. You want to support black businesses but this is why I don’t like to. They don’t Even try to be apologetic and always rude. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. And she wasn’t willing to give a refund after waiting for so long.
They NEED A BETTER SYSTEM!!! I was surprised to see people had to stand outside for their food to be given to them!! Just a congregation of folks, no social distancing encouraged (no tape on the ground), no double checking the food order with the right customer. I got the wrong order, but that wasn't as shocking as how disorganized this establishment was. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes even though I called my order in. Some people couldn't even call in an order because no one ever answered the phone! And the poor girl handling all this was definitely stressed and frazzled. The need to invest in a better system!! And stop using the tiny cocktail napkins!!
This is the worst establishment that I’ve ever patronized. The service was absolutely horrible. I called in my order cashier repeated twice got to the restaurant and didn’t receive what I ordered. It took another long period of time for that. The attitude and customer service was poor. I had an altercation with the cook over a refund that they refused to give. I refuse to ever give this place another dime. The food is usually great but they lost a loyal customer over their overwhelming terrible customer service and timely food preparation....
the customer service wasn’t the best but the jerk is always good. the green beans had no flavor but the chicken made up for that. i got an extra side of plantain as well
