How would you rate Courtyard Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile?
I would have given 4 stars because of the behavior of the staff and overall comfort but 6.56 $ for a bottle of water is bit too much. Minimum courtesy is to provide a bottle of water and the most surprising thing is that , they charged for a bottle of water which was not ordered but was present in the room before we entered the room. Height of stinginess.I had to call them after reviewing my credit card statement to understand the additional transaction. They didn't even mention the transaction in the final invoice.
Nothing great. Good place to stay if you're on a business trip. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Cool bar in the lobby.
Quick, friendly check in. The room was nice enough and clean, but nothing to brag about. I did like the size of the rooms, and the overall layout of the space. The location is great, just a block off Michigan Ave.
Great location close to shopping, two theatres, and Navy Pier. Small but clean and modern lobby with attached bar, restaurant, and mini Starbucks. Small bathroom but otherwise complain free room. Also no extra charge to use WiFi.
Had a warm and friendly welcome at arrival. Friendly staff :)
Asked for a high level floor. Got a nice big room at the upper, 24th floor.
Could absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay in Chicago
The hotel is a superb starting point for shopping.
Short way to the Magnificent Shopping mile :).
Just spent the weekend at this property and can't wait to go back again. Staff was wonderful , room and public areas well done, comfortable and more then I expected for the rate This was a great location for city sightseeing, dining, and grabbing a cab to get to the other end of town. Could not have been more pleased with a choice for a hotel.
Really great free wifi. No, really. Also it's clean and modern. No complaints.
I loved EVERYTHING! No complaints or suggestions for a better stay! 100 stars for sure!
I tried really hard to find something wrong with this hotel. I couldn't find it. The location is great as are the friendly people everywhere in the building, from the front desk and concierge to the housekeeping staff, everyone was there to make sure the guests were happy. Cleanliness was A+. Walls and hallway noise, none to speak of. Comfort, A+. I was a bit troubled by the $6.00 bottle of water. It made me a little embarrassed for them. Is Marriott that hard up for cash? Pitiful, but I didn't bite. I'd give six bucks to the street people before I'd pay it for a bottle of water. And there is no shortage of street people in Chicago. They are well mannered, but all over the place. I didn't see one at the Courtyard though. So, to review, The four nights I spent here was a very good experience and I will be back and will recommend to friends. But wait, not that fast. There was one deeply disturbing experience. The attached restaurant is called Viand. I'm giving Marriott a Mulligan on this, because (a) I don't think they own it and (b) nobody said I had to dine here, thank God.
I think the chef at Viand thinks a bit to highly of himself (or herself). There are twenty-nine (yes 29) items on the menu which I either never heard of or cannot pronounce. That's just on the dinner menu. It looked way too weird to me and I might add, to many of the other bar patrons who, along with me, went to normal steak, Italian or seafood establishments after an adult beverage. By the way, they make a terrific Manhattan. Just make sure they don't try to put some cutsie fruitsie condiment from the kitchen like piquillo, thumbellina, grana padano or rapini aigre doux in it. And what's the deal with Cipollini? This place might thrive in Beverly Hills, but my sweet home town Chicago? Not me, chef Claude Pierre du Caca. Vienna dog and fries, please.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Bell staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Great proximity to magnificent mile and many surrounding attractions. Views are nice, though not a lot of views of the lake. Overall, a place we'll likely stay again.
I was really surprised by this hotel based upon ratings and reviews. Fake reviews possible? Good things - hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. All the bad things - rooms are a little worn and dated. Carpet is nasty on 20th floor. Arrived and phone would not work when I tried to dial front desk and room service. All I could get is a busy signal every time I tried to call anyone. Used my cell phone and called the restaurant for room service and was put on hold that was never ending. Finally called the hotel using cell phone and got the front desk. They scheduled maintenance to check my phone while I was out of room the next day and guess what - nothing changed. Room phone still doesn't work on second day. Back to front desk -so when I called and spoke with front desk about room service, they took my order for a club sandwich. Within 10 minutes someone from room service called and said "they couldn't deliver a club sandwich and I needed to order something else." Are you kidding me? The restaurant cannot even make a club sandwich? Were they out of bread?? Upon arrival, the "free" internet wouldn't work on my laptop. Connection was as bad as dial-up. Finally, went back through process and purchased the "upgraded high-speed" service for an additional $4.95/day. Now, $4.95 is not going to hurt me, but I think it's a TOTAL RIP-OFF to advertise free internet when it's equivalent to dial-up. Deeply disappointed in this hotel. I've been to Chicago many times and there are a lot of better places in this vicinity that can deliver a better hotel stay. And even if it costs $10-$20 a night - I'll pay it next time.
The rooms are adequate but more luxurious stays could be booked elsewhere. Very close to all the action and at a reasonable price!
The location is great! Rooms are awesome! Staff is welcoming. plus the price is not that bad!
Great location. Helpful staff, they even let us have a late check out. The only downfall was that the TV was locked down so much that I couldn't use the other inputs to connect my tablet and watch a streaming show.
Room was clean and looked really nice. Staff was welcoming and checking in/out was easy. Lot of restaurants and stores nearby
Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Staff. Love the free internet. Rooms were large and spacious for an extended stay hotel. Get a room on a high floor for a great view. Very close to Michigan ave and walk-able area. Safe area. Loved it!!!
Rooms are very nice and staff is very friendly. Only thing that would make this place better is a complimentary continental breakfast.
Overall this was a good hotel. When we check in, though, the front desk ask if a room "overlooking" the pool instead of outside was ok. I said that wasn't a problem since the pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. When we got to the room it wasn't overlooking the pool, it was pool level. There were to older gentlemen looking into our room as we walked in. Creepy! We tried to get another room but because they were booked we had no choice but to keep that room. About 9pm we had kids at the pool knocking on the windows. Again, creepy. The next day we were able to change rooms for our second nights stay. The low star rating is because even when we politely voiced our disappointment with first night's experience there was nothing but a move to a new floor. No discount on the room for the first night, no upgrade for the second night. I expected better costumer service from a Marriott .
Our server, Stephanie, was terrific! She helped us choose drinks & took good care of us all night. The atmosphere was nice and the bathrooms were clean.
Tasty signature cocktails, but a bit expensive. $12 for the Blueberry Sage Collins which only filled 75% of a champagne glass. Nice atmosphere. We sat outside of the bar area so service was slow, I think the server forgot about us for a while.
It a great place to stay! Not far from the shopping area and the staff was very helpful and friendly and check in went great.
The room where clean and the staff really care about your stay alot. This is a great place to stay for a weekend stay I would recommend it and the price was great too!!
The room was great, but the beds were uncomfortable, we were on the 15th floor, the room was nice and clean, but the beds were uncomfortable and hard
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to check out the city and to checkout some Cubs games at Wrigley Field. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. We liked how we were close to the Ltrain for getting to the cubs.
Great location in downtown Chicago. An easy walk to the Navy Pier. Room was clean and quiet. Easy to self Park for a 20 AR savings each day. We didn't try the cafe in the hotel but it looked goodgood. Includes a Starbucks as well.
Very clean and well-kept, friendly staff, and convenient location! Courtyard hotels have been consistently great for business travel in my experience, and this location is no different. One gripe would be the elevator system, which requires a swipe of your key before selecting a floor. Several times during my stay it took a couple of swipes before my card was recognized, resulting in some long elevator rides when I missed my floor. A minor annoyance in an otherwise great stay!
Had a wonderful experience at the Downtown Chicago Marriott Courtyard.. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.. We had a fiasco with Expedia and the Marriott was courtous enough to rectify it for.. Thank you for a pleasant experience.. One suggestion: need more mirrors, sharing a room with 4 ladies mirror time was challenging
The staff here is literally the nicest, most professional group of people. Anthony and Anna went out of their way to make sure our stay was extended to the date we needed, greeted us every time we came into the hotel, and made recommendations for the best food at their onsite restaurant (which was great). The doorman gave us directions and a coupon for the local restaurant we were going to the second night. Great experience!
AMAZING STAY! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! LOCATION WAS PERFECT EVEN WILLIS TOWER WAS A $8 CAB RIDE AWAY! ALL THE GREAT FOODS A SIMPLE WALK AWAY! AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY W KIDS. MOLLY WAS THERE ON CHECK IN AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL! WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEW RENOVATIONS!
This has been our secret go-to hotel for the past year. My family made two trips to Chicago this year, and stayed here both times. You just can't beat the combination of room size and cleanliness, location and price. It really is a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect - just a few blocks away from Water Tower Place, Michigan Ave, the lakefront, the river. So much to do around the hotel. The rooms are a great size - relatively modern amenities, decent view of River North. And there's a pool on the 10th floor! Not a big one, but the kids loved the idea of swimming 100 feet in the air. Hotel staff has always been friendly, and there's even a Starbucks and a gastropub in the lobby if you don't want to travel far in the colder months. Oh, and did I mention there's a Garrett's Popcorn right next door? That line gets long fast, so it's good to be so close to beat the crowds.
The kids love Chicago, and the hotel is a big part of it. We will definitely be staying here again next time we make it to the city.
Was convenient location. Comfy bed. All i really needed for 1 night stay. Enjoyed a drink at the pub as well
ALWAYS stay at this location when I am in Chicago. Walking distance to most of my favorite places.....comfortable rooms along with great staff and who could complain about having a Garretts next door? Not me:) Oh and a Starbucks in the Lobby.
We got a pretty good deal on this room, short notice, during the world series. Not bad at all. Early check in through app was really nice. Parking at the garage cost$80 for 27 hours, so I'm not loving that in addition to the cost of room. The room was cared for and clean, and the common areas were as well. I'd stay here again.
Great service. Great location. Lots of things to do nearby. Friendly staff. Decent restaurant on site with reasonable prices.
Great service! Our flight got in around 8am and we're able store our bags until check in, but they called and let us check in around 11
Very attentive staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great location near Michigan Ave. and Water Tower
Had a great time. Plenty to look at. Stayed at Courtyard by Marriott, room was nice and clean. Visited Shedd Aquarium, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Navy Pier. Would visit again
Great location close to lake and navy pier and magnificent mile shopping. Comfortable and clean rooms, great free breakfast.
Great location next to Michigan Avenue. Clean hotel and rooms, friendly and helpful service, awesome water pressure in the shower. The bathrooms could have used an exhaust fan but that is my only (minor) complaint.
Excellent location. Super helpful staff and they even let us check is super early and check out late free of charge. Will def stay here again
Stayed for an overnight birthday celebration. The pluses - received a larger room as a Gold upgrade (this hotel really has some of the largest rooms in the city), very friendly front desk staff, clean, great location. The issues - only 1 elevator working, resulted in, literally, a 10 minute wait for an elevator.
Good location, but terrible service. Staff was unfriendly and only one elevator functioned at a time. There is a fine for bringing in outside food.
Amazing stay, as always with the Marriott! The man who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast hostess was also very sweet. Rooms are very nice and clean, and the staff goes above and beyond to assist with absolutely anything. Plus, location is great of course. I always stay Marriott because it's always amazing.
The rooms were clean and very nice. Beds and pillows soft. The pub in the lobby is top notch, with a great menu and local craft beers on tap. The only complaint I have is the street noise, but I have that complaint with every Chicago hotel I've ever stayed in. I think it's just loud here. Other than that, solid hotel right smack dab in the middle of the Magnificent Mile.
We had a great time at this Courtyard location! It is close to everything you could want to do in Chicago - and there are always Uber drivers right around the corner.
The building was clean and modern, and the adjacent Starbucks didn't hurt, either!
We really liked the lobby bar as well, as a place to meet other friends flying in from out of town.
Wonderful hotel. The rooms were very nice and the staff was amazing especially Hector. A great location for the magnificent mile and close to a lot of mass transit pickups. I would stay here again for sure.
Well overall decent hotel a little on expensive side for what you get. Staff was very helpful in fixing a mistake they made as well as helping with any other needs. Parking prices for guest is absolutely ludacris. However still great location and customer service, just need more bang for buck.
Very nice hotel with small but nice lobby, fast elevators, and nice rooms. Fitness center was good for cardio, but weight machines were odd. Example - incline press but no bench press. Nice small pool area.
Bring greeted at the door during the late hour of my arrival was nice. Check in was fast despite the large group I was with. The rooms are very nice with the exception of the refrigerator not getting very cold. I would definitely stay here again with the location being in walking distance of so many places.
The room was very nice and clean, smelled really good when I first walked in. The employees are EXTREMELY friendly and polite; Easy going people. I loved how cute my room was and the little couch inside my room. It's great
Wonderful hotel and even better location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a king room with fold out couch. The couch was twin size and we were expecting at least a double. My kids were able to make it work and one chose the floor one night. Pool was small but nice. I did see some rooms that would share a wall with the pool. Not sure I would have liked that since pool is open 7a-10p. Plus it was weird to have guest looking at us in the pool from their rooms. I would definitely ask for a room away from the pool (which is on the 10th floor). The location is terrific just steps from Michigan Ave. and close to Navy Pier, Red line train stop to Wrigley or transfer to orange line to airport. Price was higher than we would have liked but given the events in town plus Friday night stay all hotels were higher. Very pleased and would definitely stay here again!
I was there for a training for work. The customer service is wonderful. They took extra time to help my co-worker and I store our luggage and seamlessly recognized us when it was time to pick it back up. The rooms where spacious and the food fantastic. I will definitely be staying there again soon.
The hotel was right in the middle of the action of the magnificent mile. The price was average of what you'll find in the area. The front desk agents were helpful and accommodating to everything we needed.
The hotel has a Starbucks, a full restaurant (with bar), and a small pantry/market on the main floor. Would absolutely recommend and consider again next time I'm in town.
The staff at the hotel were absolutely awesome! No complaints there. My only issue was the price paid for the room and what amenities were available. I actually expected more, but given this was my first overnight stay in Chicago, I'm not sure if that was average for the area. I've stayed in hotel rooms in other cities that offered a lot more for a lot less.
The concierge was very helpful when we discovered our suburban wouldn't fit it the hotel parking garage. We found a parking structure on the very next block that worked out great. The room was nice and the beds very comfortable. They only thing nicer would have been a room on the lake side of the building, but we booked late.
Awesome stay! Hotel staff were amazing. Bartender was fantastic (is it just me or does he remind you of Jess from Gilmore Girls?)! Trusted him with making me whatever drink he wanted and I didn't regret it. Prompt service. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Laura at the front desk was always so helpful. Will definitely stay here again!
This hotel was a block off of Michigan Avenue but it felt like it was on Michigan Avenue. This allowed for a slightly lower price than some places on Michigan Ave. The location of this hotel is absolutely superb for shopping and restaurants. It was right next to Burberry and all of the fabulous stores that Michigan Avenue. There was construction going on but it didnt bother us. The room was nice and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Only complaint is that the hotel staff called us twice in the middle the night claiming that we ordered towels and telling us that they were on the way, but we had not ordered towels and we were just woken up from our sleep. Cannot stress enough how amazing of a location this hotel is in. The parking was $47 for 24 hours which was relatively cheap compared to $60-$70 valet at other places. It was self parking however so I recommend not moving your car until you are leaving the hotel or else you will have to pay multiple times. We will definitely be staying here again.
Fantastic view, very conscientious staff. Room was missing the tv remote and maintenance was sent up with a new one immediately. He was also very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable for the downtown location. Pool was small if you are planning on swimming.
Amazing experience. I was looking for Aloft, and once I found a safe-looking parking garage went downstairs to go to the Starbucks to finalize my check- in. Well, that is where the beginning one of the best hotel stays I have ever had in Chicago. Chloe was very kind, when I was confused at the hotel lobby not knowing there was a hotel there. I just focused on the Starbucks sign and was nervous as it was getting dark. Chloe assured me that she would find me the best rate. She found me a great corner room with all windows and the stay was magical. Just a few steps from Michigan Avenue shopping and It is right next to the garage I parked in and overnight rates were reasonable for this area. Every time I called the front desk Chloe was helpful and Shanti was especially kind and helpful in the morning when I had a question.
Thank you!!! I will come back over Christmas break.
Really nice hotel—heard they recently did some renovations. If this is true, it paid off! Within walking distance of many great restaurants and the staff is very nice! Can't go wrong here.
I love staying at any Marriott brand. They are always clean and comfortable. This hotel is in a great area, right in the midst of shopping, restaurants, and convenient to public transportation
Overall very good hotel. The location is great and right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are well done, very nice, and clean. The lobby is cramped and small and not conducive for simply hanging out. There is a mini Starbucks connected to the lobby for quick food. We stayed in the King Suite with a sofa bed. Normally at every other Marriott Courtyard, the sofa bed will fit two children but with this Courtyard the sofa bed is much smaller and clearly a single bed. This forced us to make our second child sleep on the floor. This was not a problem for us as she was excited by this prospect. Sheets were not included in the room for the sofabed so we had to phone housekeeping to have them brought up. Overall very good hotel and a solid 4-stars.
Room was clean. Nothing special. Our floor happened to be noisy & the sound travelled easily through the door. Staff was friendly, but not extremely helpful. We asked if there were vending machines in the building & they told us no. They did not mention they had a convenient store. So we walked to a 711....in December in Chicago. Elevators were very slow. We ended up walking 19 flights of stairs with our luggage because we were tired of waiting. The location in Chicago was very good, within walking distance of a lot of things.
Great location, quick cab ride to local dining and attractions. Hotel was very clean, room was big and had a good view. Bar/restaurant we're great, best hotel breakfast I've ever had and a good burger for dinner. Staff was very nice and helpful!
Upon arrival, the manager at the front desk talked down to me as if I was a little kid. She was very condescending and acted quite immaturely towards myself and the people I was with because we were young. She even went as far as saying, "Do I need to call your parents and make sure they know you're here?" (She was serious). Not a great first impression. But the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were pretty nice. Solid location. Mixed feelings because of the rudeness of the manager, but still a good hotel as a whole.
Room was extra clean! Housekeepers were very friendly, as a matter of fact, everybody were very friendly in this property. Gregorio was my server twice and he was so nice. Front desk crew make my day when they found the best deal for me, due to a flight cancellation. It was very cold outside, but very warm inside. Thanks for make my travel even more pleasant.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile. Not only the is the hotel conveniently located downtown near everything, but its also a very clean, comfortable and modern place. Rooms had big windows, with an amazing views. Speedy check in process and very friendly stuff. We had to leave our bags a few times at the front desk and the whole process was very efficient. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting, next time we are back we will definitely stay there. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning at the hotel and having Starbucks coffee inside the hotel is a big plus.
Recently our client, touring musician Albert Hammond, stayed here while on tour and was completely impressed by the hospitality and service. The front desk greeted him as an old friend even though he had an extremely late check in and helped usher him to his room quickly, so he could get some rest after his long day of travel. The next day he was able to enjoy the pristine indoor pool followed by a nice relaxing time in the sauna! With such a resounding endorsement from one of our seasoned clients, we look forward to sending more of our future clients here to stay when touring in the area!
I recently stayed at the Courtyard in downtown Chicago and it was perfect for my needs. The front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful during check in. My room was clean, comfortable and contemporary. It was nice having access to a full size gym and indoor pool as well as a small Starbucks in the lobby. There's an onsite parking garage for a reasonable rate considering the downtown location in a major city. I would absolutely stay here the next time I'm in Chicago.
The hotel was nice and clean. Room was as well, staff was great. The girl that worked the front counter at night was actually a little bit rude a couple of times, but with that schedule I guess I can let it slide. Over all good place and good value.
I've stayed here a couple of times and will definitely be back. Great location. Easy to walk to most places I needed to go. Modern, comfortable rooms. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice bar/restaurant in the hotel and many dining/drinking options are close by. Michigan Avenue is literally a block away. Slightly annoying that the Starbucks in the building is tiny and cash only, but there is a bigger, full-service Starbucks a block away. The self-park next door is a fairly reasonable daily rate for Chicago. Overall a good place to stay.
Literally everything about this place is nice. I have nothing negative at all to say. Concierge is fast and friendly. The rooms are spotless. Parking is easy. I lied... there is a bottle of water hanging in the room. It's $6.00. It's $1.04 at the 7-eleven on the next block.
Nice rooms. Clean. Quite large compared to other Chicago hotels I've stayed at. Friendly people. Convenient location. Indoor pool could've been a few degrees warmer. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Very good place in the middle of the busy streets of Chicago. The place has a restaurant and room service. The rooms are well maintained and has good view of the street. It is also close by from many attractions and they are easily accessible by walk. The staff is good and courteous.
Staff were great, very helpful and polite. On Tuesday evening 06/05/2018 we had mistakes on our end and wound up with half of our reservations at wrong location, The woman at the desk, I believe her name was Lauren Garza was great, really helped out our group. Really appreciated her helping us getting all our rooms in the same location.
My experience at this amazing hotel in Chicago couldn't have gone any better! Hospitality was spot on upon my 1am check in which wasn't a problem at all. Customer service was top notch giving me fantastic advice on parking my van with trailer. Everyone on staff was so kind and accommodating. I wish I had more time to enjoy the amazing rooms that and not to mention the insanely great location of the hotel. Rooms were super clean, quiet and cozy. This is certainly the best hotel experience I've ever had in the city. Staying here is a no brainer folks, do yourself a favor and look no further, book you a room or two here while visiting downtown Chicago. I will be back, you've been warned!
Beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. I was celebrating my birthday. They were very flexible with guests coming at varying times. They helped us with individual checks and they let us bring our own cake.
One of the few places I could find for a family of 5 in one room and a decent price. And definitely a nice location (about a half hour walk or so from most tourist locations). Didn't have exactly the room we reserved, so gave us a slightly larger one. Pool is a bit small, but no more than expected. Haven't had a chance to check out the in house restaurant, but it looks busy. Would recommend for short to mid range stays.
Location was very convenient to everything we planned on seeing/doing. We had reserved a King room, but were placed in a double queen. Disappointed to see that the room did not include the typical shampoo/body wash that a room of this price should include, so we had to walk to a Walgreens to stock up. The pool was filthy. The water was cloudy and there was a gray grime ring all around the sides of the pool. There is no reason for anything to be dirty in a hotel of this caliber.
We decided to stay an extra night in the city and tried to negotiate a better rate since it was a Sunday night. They absolutely would not budge, so we walked 100 yards to another hotel and paid 1/3 of the cost, and got a clean place to stay that offered the amenities that were lacking here. We would not stay again.
Got an upgrade just for being a veteran. I really appreciated that and didn’t even ask. The room was quiet and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay.
Staff has been very helpful and friendly. Room is pretty clean and my wife and I have semi high standards. Two issues with the room that aren't big but do count against the hotel are: The sink leaks onto the floor from under the counter when in use. Put a towel on the floor to catch the water. Toilet paper holder comes out of the wall when you pull on the paper roll. Not big deals but should be mentioned. Pool isn't big, but was moderately kept and not awful. Food at restaurant was good and had average pricing for the area. I really like the hotels location. 15 to 20 minute walk to Navy Pier with kids. 15 minute walk to American Girl Doll store. Would be slightly faster without kids and a stroller. Over pleased with my stay here.
Great location in the heart of Magnificent Mile! Some rooms may provide a nice view of the city, and some may even have a view of the great lake! Rooms were great and spacious, and a surprising surplus of towels. The hotel itself is modern and very clean. Though the front desk person I had while checking in was pretty rude and not very heartwarming nor giving any hospitality. Only reason for 1 less star. Overall great stay.
Great location for this Marriott property just a block off of Michigan Ave (Miracle Mile) and all the shops, restaurants and activities. Easy to navigate to/from and being a block off of Michigan makes it a bit "quieter" than others in the area. One elevator was out of order during our entire 4-day visit - so a long wait to get to the upper floors. Otherwise, Marriott in design, convenience, cleanliness, modern appeal and outstanding staff.
I stayed here during a business trip. The room was nice with lots of windows and plenty of space. Good water pressure in the shower. Service at the front desk was great. The bed was a bit too firm for me, but overall I'd recommend this hotel.
On site parking, very clean modern decor in the room. Only negatives to comment on are just matter of opinion or personal preference. The mattress was just a touch firmer than what I am used to but by no means rock hard. Also only one tissue box in the room and it was on the back of the toilet so, coincidentally, I needed it when my son was in the shower. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Close to good restaurants and other Chicago tourist
and entertainment venues.
It's a great hotel. I stay at different hotels when I visit Chicago for business, and this was one of the better experiences. I'm usually in some Marriott Hotel, as a rewards member.
It's location is good, though I don't ever go on the mile, but at least I discovered my favorite donut place due to the location. (Do-Rite Donuts).
The room was very nice, the staff was very friendly.
The bar was ok, I wish it was bigger and a bit more lively.
Great stay overall. Thanks.
Excellent location just off the famous Michigan Avenue shopping area. Super easy in and out with a car, with parking attached to the hotel. Note that the parking garage faces St. Clair which is the cross street to Ontario on the corner where the hotel's front door is located, so coming by car down Ontario, take a quick left onto St. Clair when you see the facing of the hotel and the garage entrance is clearly marked on the right. Our room was very well appointed and spacious, featuring two queen beds as well as a love seat and a desk chair with a work area. The room was also very clean. The view from the 22nd floor where we stayed was incredible. There is also a full restaurant and bar in the lobby. The elevators were quick and convenient. All in all, this hotel is an absolute gem for the price.
My event was scheduled to be at the Marriott Magnificent Mile.. Ten minutes before I was directed to the Courtyard by Marriott. The actual facility was lovely. The two attendants at the front desk seemed unsure how the answer my questions and not as friendly as I would expect. The barista at the Starbucks inside the Marriott were very friendly and helpful. There were snacks provided; however they all were bread based and I could not have anything do to a gluten intolerance. A woman came with a package of peanuts shortly after I inquired if there would be anything else to eat. It was hardly enough to eat, but I do appreciate the effort.
Hotel was very accommodating and very busy. Lobby is very small compared to most. Hotel is in a great location for travelers who are there for just about anything in walking distance. Michigan Ave is a block away and you can do in either direction from there for food fun and shopping. Hotel pool is small but seemed very clean. Elevators were very slow it seemed to get up and down when needed. I opted to have the no cleaning for extra points and I have to call because at check-in Steven told us we would get 1500 points but only received 1000. Need to call and check to see why we didn't receive the other 500.
The hotel was nice. Very good location for tourists since many sites are within walking distance. The food and drinks were delicious at the bar, and the service was great across the board. My only complaint is that there are only 3 elevators for all of the floors, and that gets problematic around busy hours. With no public stairs (that I found) it could easily be at least 10+ minutes to catch an elevator that's not full.
So this place is pretty cool! It’s clean and has high end amenities. Luke at the front desk was awesome! The only reason why it’s getting 4 instead of 5 stars is because hotel guests do not get parking validation for a small discount.
We arrived at 11:30PM and was out by 10:00AM the next morning. We still had to pay $50 for parking. That’s ridiculous.
Must stay when in Chicago.
Very very nice rooms, quiet, spacious, water pressure! & very comfy bed!
From top to bottom a really nice place.
