How would you rate Black Men Reading?
Horrific customer service. I have been a long time customer, but after a recent experience with customer service (Matthew) I will stay away. Had a problem with a new pair right after purchase..they agreed to repair as long as I paid to pay for shipping. Waited 5 weeks for the repair to be done. After receiving the repaired glasses I noticed, that they were different magnification. I was told that he (Matthew) spoke with the technician and assured me that they replaced the lenses. However...now they claim that when my package was received it was already open and that they built me a pair from "scratch"...If the package was indeed empty why wasn't I told. All previous communication was by email. Sad but true. Personally, I think this is less a reflection on the company and more on the ineptness of the people who handled the claim.
Do NOT STAND BEHIND their eyebobs, and I had a lens crack after only a few wearings. . . . Charged me another $60 for repair, and I got back, the SAME Eyebobs, with the SAME cracked Lens !!! Get a different brand, anything else but these GRRRRRRRRRR
Great customer service and quality eyewear at reasonable price.
Came in to simply gets screws tightened on my glasses. Georgia and Klassy went ABOVE AND BEYOUND! They also cleaned the glasses. It didn't stop there they proceeded to tightened the screws and clean the glasses that I had on. Amazing customer service! Keep it up.
Love my 4 pairs of eye bobs. (All different looks) Have had some issues with lenses smearing but otherwise the look is amazing. I get compliments all the time.
Large selection, great styles, fun staff, and great service. After buying two pair of glasses I'll never go anywhere else.
Their website says they do repairs. So I called this location and asked if they would be able to repair a metal nose piece that had broken off. The lady on the phone said they would be able to fix it. I went in the next day and was instantly told they don't do repairs and that I should go elsewhere... which was great after a 30 minute drive to MOA for no other reason than the repair

Unbelievably great place to get glasses, as a person who has never worn glasses I did my job of shopping around. They offered the best prices around, and the customer service was great, very patient and helpful

You're really making a mistake not keeping Andrew when you close the Florida Mall location. I've never had a more caring, professional, thoughtful optician. I've literally followed him around the country buying glasses from him because he has been in the business forever, he keeps up with all the new technology, he is the best frame adjuster and repairer I've ever seen, he's a wonderful manager, and he's the most lovely person. I think you actually know that because he does the job of 6 regular opticians.
Your Billboard on 394 I would recommend changing "Have you had unprotected specs?". I love your product but find you have hit a low with this.
I was treated so well with my recent purchase. I bought two pairs of prescription glasses, one for regular purposes and one for computer work. When I went to pick them up, the staff figured out that my eye clinic (not Eyebobs) goofed up my prescription, since the computer glasses did not work. Eyebobs reached out to my eye clinic, requested a corrected prescription, and redid the glasses on a rush basis (even though I didn't expect or ask for the rush). That's on top of my general happiness with the styles, prices, and help from the Eyebobs staff.
Great store, selection, and service!
I try to shop local. Eyebobs is yet another example of a local business that ive pushed friends toward & a product brand ive spent most of my vision needs on. I cant remotely understand what they are doing. Used to be able to just walk into a local vision store or the eyebobs office and grab a pair of readers or progressives. Not anymore. Sad. Said could try any on there or at there other locations if Id like. Or order on line. Get them made pretty quick. Well. Disappointed, i left to go get a backup else where. Looked on line later, picked out 6 id like to try on first... went to store...oh the web stuff is different than the store..what? So its like two different stores basically. Whats in store is in store and whats online is online. Sooo, thats convenient. So i can order frames on line that i never get to try on first, then I have to go to a Eyebobs location to get them fitted. Handy.
The sales rep says the ordering online is set up to give u a more custom fit. I think internet shopping, im totally thinkin ill get a better fit.
Eyebobs is still local as ever and less consumer friendly. Good luck with that biz model. Maybe sell wedding dresses online with that approach next! Whats on line is not in stores & you’ll get a better fit purchasing on line. Wasted my precious time x3. Ruined a good advertising customer for you. Its not like I expect a warehouse of custom cars to choose from. Its tiny glasses. If I hear they manufacture the frames in states, i may go back. But I doubt it.
