How would you rate B & M Market?
Food is Amazing!
If you're searching for homemade gourmet delicacies, than this is the place. Following Anthony Bourdain's advice we ordered cow foot stew and curry goat. Both were delicious (keep in mind that it is a delicacy and an acquired taste)! For the quality the food is insanely cheap, but also keep in mind that this is a market not a restaurant so forget about the luxury setting. Just enjoy the food, and the hospitality of the lovely couple that runs this amazing place! They really made us feel welcome.
I really love this place
Great place to eat. Went there for lunch and tried the beef stew, cow foot and roti. All were delicious. Need to be an adventurous eater to try this place. The owners were very friendly. B&M is in a sketchy part of town, but worth it in the end.
Great service, amazing Trini food, nicest people
We stayed at a place in the neighborhood and found out about B&M Market via a search for places to eat near our accommodation. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We ate there twice and our favourite dishes were the cow foot stew and the curry goat. The oxtail was a close third followed by the curry chicken and jerk chicken. That said, all were delicious. If you can only eat one dish, though, have the cow foot stew. Based on what Nafeeza does with cow's feet, my only wish is that she had a tripe based stew on the menu as I'm pretty sure it would be wonderful.
The food is only surpassed by the owners who are both lovely and unaffected. Take some time, have a beer, and chat with them for a while: without pretentiousness or affectation, Sheir and Nafeeza create an "experience" for people that makes a mockery of those who try so much harder only to do so much less.
Other reviews have made much of the neighborhood, but we found nothing remarkable: just ordinary people living their lives and getting by. .
This place is a great find great authentic carribean food and cheap specials daily. After eating here once i found myself right back .gonna try whole menu
Amazing food coupled with excellent service! Don't leave Miami without a visit to B&M.
No frills place, but great food
Amazing little place. My wife, my 10month old and I stopped in here on our way from NC to the keys and it was awesome. Very small place. No AC, lots of fans, great food.
Honestly my favorite place for jerk chicken and cabbage! I was nervous at first because of the location and it seemed no one mentioned jerk chicken specifically in the reviews but I took a chance and fell in love. Their cabbage is great. Most places steamed veggies just seems like something you have to be given on your plate to take up space and can be mushy and bland. This cabbage is so great that I substitute the rice for all cabbage.
omg if you haven't eaten anything here yet..u need to..its ALL GOOD MON'..lol
Best Caribbean food in town.
More than twenty years living in Miami and I just found this wonderful place - thanks Yelp! The food is fresh, authentic and DELICIOUS!! Chat with the owners while you wait or even better have a cold Guinness and chat, it's all good!
This is one of my go to places for lunch! I love their oxtail, curry, Caribbean jerk, and rotis---all for less than $10. Their meals include rice and veggies on the side. The owners, Nafeeza and Sheir are the nicest people! They really take care of their customers.
The best. No competition. Every time I fly in from NYC I make sure to make a detour here sometimes during my trip
So freaking good Indian food, i never try nothing like this!!! To many flavors so in one dish!!! Spicy, sweetie, salty OMG; All of u never can't miss this!!!
I went with the jerk chicken roti and curry chicken platter with rice and salad. The roti was soft and favorful. The chicken spicy and tangy. They grill it out back so it's always fresh and hot. Tons of food for the price. This is a Miami gem and I understand why Anthony bourdain had it on his list. Five stars!
High crime neighborhood. Wouldn't suggest visiting with the kids. However, I did enjoy the experience, seeing the other side of Miami.
Not only is the food great, the people are great. I can't just pop in and collect a to-go order, I always wind up spending time in an interesting conversation with someone there.
Been going here since I was a kid. They really treat you like family. Best service better oxtail lol
This place have the best Jamaican food, cooked by a Jamaican native. It's the best in town
It was a great experience. Good food, great atmosphere 😃
How marvelous to find a Caribbean cafe & market of this quality, hidden in Little Haiti on 79th St! You watch the rotis being made, fresh and delicious, light & fluffy with Dahl ... All food so reasonable, so tasty & all halal too!
Food is so good you don't even have to season it at the table
Yo the food is maad!!! Really good vibe and it's right up the street from me. I passed it all the time going home hungry. And yesterday I had to give it a try. My sister called me a few weeks back and told me about it and vouched for the spot. Great and fast service. And also has some good carribean grocery products. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I send everybody I know to try the unbelievable roti sandwiches at this totally authentic little spot, owned by a lovely Guayanan couple. Try any of their flavors; vegetarian, oxtail, goat, jerk chicken, each one better than the next. Wander the aisles for island groceries that are hard to find.
Great food friendly service... Wish they were in virginia beach... Great portions and flavor... Thank you B&M for a lovely lunch before hitting the road..
Don't be scared. Eat! Ackee and saltfish roti is my personal fav along with shrimp roti
Excellent Excellent Excellent great customer service great food no complaints
I have never been so dissatisfied with a jamiacan restaurant as I have this is I ordered from them because I have ordered from the before but they tried to cheat me on a large curry goat and gave me a small. If I paid 13 dollars for goat don't try and cheat me out of my meal, very unprofessional.
Best food in town. Great specials. Wonderful family owned business. Always feel at home here. They also have home made Mauby and Gingerbeer!
This is my favorite place in the whole country. Easily top five in all of my world travels. I've been going here for 10 years. I always get the jerk chicken and ackee and saltfish. Their roti is also amazing. And their curry goat. And ox tail. I've never had a bad meal there. The owners are the kindest people in the world. They are like family.
Very flavorful and good portion size. Oxtails should ne checked to make sure thwre is meat. Got a few too many that were light on the meat. Nice people too
Good people family own excellent food
Great food and good people. You can't find curry like this anywhere. This food is amazing my god. And they're vegetarian/vegan friendly too. Their tofu taste so good i almost thought I wasn't eating tofu 😫 . If you're in the neighbourhood you have to stop by. No exceptions. Forgot my spice bun this time, but I'll definitely be back!!! Thank you for your kindness and great service! Now i know where to go for all my Caribbean necessities!
Love love this small family owned business. Great food all halal and plentiful. The only not so nice is finding parking. West Indies food at its best. Will continue to support small businesses.
If you want authentic Caribbean food you've come to the right place. The owner and his wife are kind and courteous. Highly recommend!
Great food and the people who work there are really nice! Very family friendly
Absolutely fantastic food. Went there a few days ago for the Oxtail curry and am still thinking about how great it was. The place may not look like much on the outside, but the people are very welcoming and friendly and it feels like eating a good hearty home cooked meal at a relative's. Highly recommend and if I'm in the area again I'll be sure to return.
I call it my midtown caribbean to go to store.
I'm able to find All of MiYard packaged supplies!
Sea Moss, Linseeds, Bitters, Sorrel, Hard-Dough Bread and Fresh Always! Thank You
I don't have to travel 20 minutes North to
Miami Gardens. Ample parking on the
east side of the building.
I been going here since I was 17 and I'm 36 I love the service here. They have the best Jamaican patties and the best oxtails so you need to come here and try their food and other products
Hands down best curry goat and goat soup in town. I must confess I don't go enough. Had I lived closer I'd eat there several times a week. Amazing food. The kitchen is immaculate and the people are so friendly. I love B&M Market.
This little hole in the wall restaurant proved to be a lovely surprise! It's been visited by Anthony Bourdain in his Parts Unknown series. The owner and his wife are very friendly and hospitable. The food was fresh and had the warmth and flavor of homemade food. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to taste some authentic Jamaican food.
I've had the best chicken and goat roti in this place. The curry is great and the food is authentic, large portions and delicious. The place is small and looks terribly shady. I was very skeptical because of how the place looks and where it's at but would go back for take-out.
That place is a whole on the wall but the best Indian food you'll eat. The best curry fish.
The most Nice people works here, they provide halal indian food which is my favorite food, Also they were providing me place for my prayer everyday, I really appreciate thier hospitality and kindness. Thanks Again Ms Nafeesa Ali
For a little spot in the back of a store the food was good. I like the oxtails and the light gravy cooked in them. The rice and peas were good too. I will be back soon.
Best West Indian food in Miami. Unassuming location in Jamaican bodega. Great people.
This family owned grocery/ takeaway joint is one of my favorite finds! We were in Miami looking for halal food different from the usual Indian style dishes and came across this place. We had the oxtail curry and jerk chicken - both of which were delicious! The couple that runs the place were super sweet and we wanted so badly to stop by again but didn’t get a chance to.
Great food, great price and incredibly friendly and welcoming shop owners
Hard to believe you can walk in and get great food, but in the back of the market wonders are hiding. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, tablecloths or silverware, just great Haitian food!!! Curry Goat is a great call!!!
