How would you rate Atrebla Early Learning Center?
Ms. Alberta is in the the wrong business. I had my child going there, and things were great. She loved it. She was in the older kids room since she is in kindergarten. My only complaint is how extremely rude the owner is. I was desperate for a 24 hour Childcare and had heard about and seen first hand how shady she could be, but chose it anyway seeing as the staff and overall quality was okay. But when it comes to payments, I recommend keeping a strict daily amount of how much your being charged. She will over charge you in a heart beat, and we all know how expensive Childcare is to begin with. I would recommend staying away from this one. She is in this business only for profit and not for kids. Which is very unfortune. This place has potential but with her being the owner, I see it going downhill fast.
Oh, and if your on child care assistance, be prepared to be treated like scum under her shoes.
God bless you all, and I hope this helps.
WARNING!!!! This is not a nice daycare!!!! I had my children in this daycare for under a year, and that was cause I was new to the area and had no other options that would work with my schedule. I am not trying to bash this place of business, only tell the honest truth about it. The owner, a lady whom I could not even tell you her first or last name, is very cold mean unapproachable and non welcoming individual!!!!!! She is in the daycare business for all the wrong reasons and has never been anything but rude and mean to the children. I have had my children in different daycare settings for the past twelve years, and could tell you the names of every single provider, except this lady because I never have been welcomed by her nor even seen her smile. There are a couple of good workers in this facility, yet many of the workers expected the children to behave as robots, and the workers hold the children to a higher standard then they hold themselves to. They are very strict with manners, which I agree needs to be enforced with children, but not shoved down their throat, and especially if the children are not seen the workers set a good example of what "manners" are, by not abiding by their own mannerly rules!! My children absolutely hated going to this daycare, and we're starting to report to me about mis treatment of the other attendees in the facility. That's why I pulled them out and am so thankful to have found them a nice, loving environment to be in for daycare. So just a warning to other parents.
My son goes to this daycare, but I'm not to happy with my experience. Whenever my sons dad drop him off the owner Ms.Alberta is very rude and talks to you very crazy, it makes you wonder how does she treat the kids. Doesn't matter how nice you are, whenever you ask her a question she gets rude
i went to this center as a kid and thats exactly how i remember alberta, very rude and never smiling
Look for the life of me can't understand why the parents below me are whining about the owner. My experience thus far:
Charlotte started Atrebla when she was 9wks old and attended until she was in the smaller toddler room. She started in the infant room. The experience was decent. I never had to change her when picking her up and I appreciated that. She never got a single rash there. The only reason we left is because I was a dispatcher overnights in STL Park and left my employment for something closer to St. Paul.
We came back when Charlotte was 2: While in the toddler room Ms. Piranha and her helper were teaching the children Spanish. Charlotte became VERY proficient. It's crazy. "Vaca mama! Mooooo!" I had no clue what her two-year old voice was trying to say until the helper explained that she just said, "cow" in Spanish and the sound it makes. Okay, cool!
About Mrs. Alberta: She is forward. Just like any other adult who speaks to other adults about their children. There are no honeyed tones here. That is NOT indicative to how these babies are treated. They are NOT around here yanking kids around and screaming in faces. Alberta is straightforward.
ABout the center itself: Appearantly a lot of care was taken when picking out the children's furniture and what they use. She bought everything from LakeShore in Maplewood and that place is ridiculously expensive. Her actions are and these reviews simply don't match up. The catering service she uses-- I REALLY want to eat that chicken n mashes they give the kids. I love the food they eat. But it's EXPENSIVE.
I suggest you TRY Atrebla and write about your experience. I do not personally know Alberta outside of her center but she is not doing childcare for the money lol. What a joke.
Ms. Alberta tells me i can't bring my daughter anymore because me and her don't speak or have a relationship so basically because she doesn't like me i feel that's discrimination and is very very wrong and un fair that is not a good or right reason to kick someone out of somewhere my boss and i don't speak really but he doesn't tell me im fired because of that I've always been a quiet un social person which os something im working on and i think my situation is very wrong on all levels when i have done nothing wrong this is not fair or good for my child because im a single parent and will have to quit my job so how am i suppose to provide for this little girl if she CARED about children for real she wouldn't do this to my family. That's just like my boss telling me im fired because we don't have relationship now there's something wrong with this picture
My sister and i were thinking about sending my kid, and my niece to this place untik we heard all the horrible things the masty owner does. Ill tell everyone to stay away from here after what i read! Shut this POS place down after you assault a child verbally and physically!
I loved Atrebla when my kids attended. Everyone's complaining about Ms. Alberta, who is assertive/ direct- but she was never rude! Maybe ppl are just too sensitive!?... She has to run the place and deal with late parents & payments daily on top of overseeing things, and overall I think she did her job well. All of the teachers from the baby to toddler to school-age rooms treated my children well and taught them everyday. I loved all of the infant teachers, along with Ms. Erin, Ms. Stephanie and Ms. DeArmond- they were great at keeping kids on track and I'm thankful for them, as they were very helpful in my children's development. If I had the resources, my kids would still be there! I have had terrible experiences elsewhere, but never here!
They do not do a very good job at checking people's backgrounds at this daycare when they hire people because apparently they hire felons and people who have past criminal history. Can't believe that this daycare is actually letting these people take care of innocent young children!
My daughters have attended since they were babies. The staff is great - warm, but firm. They focus on all aspects of development. We were really confident when we sent our oldest to Kindergarten.
Cool place my daughter get well taken care of plus it's convenient in time but it's just long distance far ride
They are amazing and you can clearly see they care about the children
I love this place. My twin sister loves this place. The director is tough in a good way. Communication is everything to here. The kids that go there is respectful. I have a 19 month old son. The director understand how hard it is to be single mom. The teachers I like all of them. Her staff been working for her many years. It's rare to find a staff like hers and 24 hour day care. .. This is the only one
I have had a completely different experience than the others who have choosen to do a review. Mrs. Alberta is always pleasant and respectful. She is a no nonsense person, but I love that about her and the other staff. Her staff are always wonderful and accommodating. They always treat me well and my children love them! The fact that she is open 24 hours is in itself special. Since the day my son started I have enjoyed this center. They treat the children with respect and my son has grown and learned so much here. I'm grateful to Mrs. Alberta and all her staff.
Atrebla is great! Our 2 year old went to Atrebla for a drop off day to cover when his child care was closed. The teacher was caring and there were only a couple other kids in his room (great teacher to student ratio). I met Ms. Alberta and she seemed incredibly nice, and accommodating. At the end of the day our son was very happy and said that he had fun. We had tried another place for covering when our day care closes but now that we found this place we will definitely return to Atrebla.
I like this daycare it’s convenient I’m able to work second shift and weekends if I want. I love the teachers there, never had any issues here.
Lol these reviews, maybe she treat people differently but me no I wish she treated me and my child how a lot of these reviews states how she treat them the daycare is horrible i think because the state help me pay a percentage for my daycare the lady always mean and very irritable ever time i ask on information about my child like how she do today? Her responses is always sarcastically like it’s a big problem, I know the difference between daycares because my daughter went here in another during the week they don’t even feed them correctly my daughter always was very hungry n thirsty when I picked her up so I would make sure they feeding your kids correctly I use to hate dropping of and picking up because she always complained about something no matter what it was. My daughter like carrying her cup around I let her bring it in the daycare she had a problem with that, my daughter had hair accessories and her head she was complaining about that like WHAT??? It’s a NO for me.
My Child has been attending this Daycare for year's. I'm Very happy!!
I do not like this place. My child is constantly screaming and crying which he does not do at home. When I pick him up his face is so swollen to the point I...read this and 0 more
