My first professional job after graduating college in 2002 was for this company. Though I only worked there for 2 months I gained many valuable job skills in their fast paced competent environment. I learned that corporate culture means everything when in comes to job satisfaction as well quality of products and services provided to the public.
I also have used Amerisave to refinance my house in 2011. I chose Amerisave because they had the lowest cost to me with the best interest rate. I also had confidence that they could close the loan without the rate lock expiring. They did and I am currently sitting in my dream house with a dream loan. It does not get any better than this.
I wanted to refi my 1st only and leave heloc open as it is estranged husband's debt. I specifically asked prospective lenders if they are willing to subordinate the loan with the holder of the 2nd. I even asked if there was a situation where they would not subordinate. They only said "it just depends on the other bank's policy regarding subordination."
The loan-to value ratio is an incredibly low 16.7%! my credit rating is 780. After three weeks of the most rigorous document demand of any closing I've ever been through (including 3 business property closings) they denied me because the heloc had a pre-payment penalty. They won't subordinate when there is a pre-payment penalty. They conveniently forgot to tell me that when I *very specifically* asked about subordination and what would prevent subordination.
Two bankers at Wells Fargo told me AmeriSave never even *requested* subordination, only *payoff* information. Secondly, I'm in the 2nd year of the heloc and the pre-payment is a whopping $500 at this point. And besides, *I was not going to prepay*
Can you say *smoke screen* *only interested in the up-front fee*? Plus they recently lost a lawsuit regarding other misrepresentations. Beware! If already in process get a Buyer's closing attorney and owner's title insurance to protect yourself at the very least!
I found Amerisave when I was looking for mortgage rates on the Internet. Their rate engine was very easy to use and the rates were always up to date. When I saw rate I wanted I decided to give them a try. So far very easy I had my rate locked within two days. It probably would have went faster but that is how long it took me to complete my application. Also I made a mistake which gave me the wrong closing costs and they fixed no questions asked and it at no additional charge. I haven't closed yet but at this point I would recommend anyone to try Amerisave who is looking for a mortgage for home purchase.
The service was outstanding! The loan processor was amazing from start to finish...Jennifer Holloway was extremely professional and made sure that we had a smooth transition...She was on top of her game and made sure that all the steps, conditions and etc. were taken and whole closing process took 30min. So far my experience has been excellent with Amerisave Mortgage. I have called and emailed my Loan Officer and he has been quick to answer any of my questions. The ability to search for what rate you wanted online is a great feature. It breaks down item by item what the costs of the loan are so it is not confusing at all. I am now communicating with my loan processor and he answered my email quickly as well. So far so good. 33143638
No stars for these guys, I tried to cancel my PMI and they slowed the process as much as possible to the point they returned my check for the appraisal when it was filled out to precisely the amount they asked for!! Unbelievalbe! How bad can it be you ask? There PMI and Research department does not have phones or access to email so no way to speak to them!!! They have to use snail mail to communicate. I guess they step through a time warp when they walk into their department. Avoid this company at all costs.They are supposed to call me back today to resolve this, but how can they without phones?! If my loan was not sold to them, I would have NOTHING to do with them.
I tried Amerisave mortgage for refinancing my home but it was a huge mistake. The process took almost 4 months and at the end of it my loan was denied. I have an excellent credit score of 800+ and had all the funds for settlement. The reason that was given to me that the loan was declined due to the insurance company that the Home Owner's association had used for insuring the club house could not provide the appraisal report for the club house. This is the dumbest reason I think someone could have come up with. This has nothing to do with the property being refinanced and still the loan was denied. And the company will not refund me the appraisal fee $425.00 that I had paid even though the loan was denied and I was not at fault. I worked with them providing all the required documentation. This seems like a practice of duping customers to get the appraisal fee and then denying loan for frivolous reasons. And the loan officer Thomas Kelly will not respond to my emails now. I have sent multiple emails for requesting the refund but none of them has been answered. Please stay away from Amerisave as they might come up with some lame reason to deny your loan once you have paid the fee.
I was really impressed with the speed and simplicity of the entire loan process with AmeriSave. My loan originator was able to secure a great interest rate for my wife and me. I would highly recommend using this company for any future purchases or refinances. The team we worked with was very knowledgeable, valued customer service and maintained excellent communication throughout underwriting and closing which was extremely helpful as this was our first purchase.
I generally do not have the time to spend hours and hours researching mortgage options. When I made the decision to buy a home, a friend recommended AmeriSave, and needless to say, I am pleased with my decision. The rates were unbeatable and the customer service went beyond my expectations.
Applying for a mortgage can be a stressful thing, and I had someone with AmeriSave with me the entire way. They really made me feel secure and confident that I was making the right decision going with this lender. They really valued my business and treated me like a customer whose business is appreciated. Additionally, being able to get almost everything done online saves me time. Uploading required documents into a secured document portal instead of still having to fax things with other lenders is so convenient! I had a wonderful experience, and will definitely use AmeriSave again. Trust me, there are alternatives to your local bank for getting a mortgage. Try AmeriSave! Would highly recommend their company to anyone shopping for a lender!
Stay away from Amerisave!!! I decided to refinance my home mortgage on 7/7/15. I made the loan request through Discover Home Loans, which sold their home financing business to Amerisave Mortgage Corporation. Originally, the Discover Home Loans loan processor instructed me sign all the necessary loan application documents. After a couple of weeks, the Discover Home Loans loan processor told me not to pay the August 1 mortgage payment to my current mortgage lender because my loan request was going to close within 30 days. On 8/11/15, I was contacted by Amerisave to notify me that my loan request had been transferred from Discover Home Loans to Amerisave Mortgage Corporation. The original loan processor from Discover Home Loans was also transferred to Amerisave Mortgage Corporation and was still covering my loan request at Amerisave. Amerisave’s loan processor had me sign all the necessary loan application documents as well. The Amerisave loan processor said that the status of my loan request had not changed and was scheduled to close on time. My loan request ended up taking longer than the 30 days that I was told it would take to close the loan request by the Amerisave loan processor. The Amerisave loan processor then tells me that I would have to make the August 1 payment to my current mortgage lender because my credit report was now showing a 30 day late notice mortgage payment due. This 30 day late notice from my current mortgage lender was reported because the Amerisave loan processor had instructed me not to pay the August 1 mortgage payment because the status of my loan request had not changed. The Amerisave loan processor said there was nothing Amerisave could do because the credit risk department would not take into consideration that it was the Amerisave loan processor who instructed me not to make the August 1 mortgage payment. The Amerisave loan processor also said to me that the Amerisave credit/risk department was requesting that I have my current mortgage lender remove the 30 day late notice from my credit report. So I paid the August 1 mortgage payment to my current mortgage lender. My current mortgage lender told me that the only way to get the 30 day late notice removed from my credit report was if it was their error. After I could not get Amerisave to remove the 30 day late notice from my credit report, Amerisave Mortgage Corporation decided to reject my loan request. Now I cannot refinance my home mortgage loan because of the 30 day late notice on my credit report. Amerisave Mortgage Company has now left me in a worse financial situation than before I started the process to refinance my home mortgage loan. Amerisave Mortgage Company should have recognized that their loan processor mishandled my loan request which caused my loan request to be rejected.
I got a grea rate on my refi! I'm so glad I didnt go with one of the monster mega banks.
I've done 4 loans now with Amerisave. The rates are by far the best I've ever seen. The reliability, PIA factor, attentiveness to required deadlines, etc are the WORST I've ever seen. They have no system in place for repeat customers (investors) with more complex files. Even when you have the same loan officer that "sells" you on the loan, the processor, underwriter, and closer are almost always different and ask for different and new information daily. It's a total crapshoot. 2 of my loans were difficult to get done, and 2 were beyond awful. I swore at one point I would never go back when Amerisave cancelled a deal the week of closing based on lead contamination AFTER I'd spent $1500 on inspections. The lead information in that neighborhood was publicly available on the web and could have been discovered with 5 minutes of research on the 1st day - before my costs had been incurred. No refund was offered. Recently, I let the crazy-low rates lure me back again to another awful experience. Even with a super-long 45 day closing planned, Amerisave has dropped the ball and will not meet the contractual deadlines. They day before the scheduled closing they still don't know when they will be done. There's not been any excuse provided for the delays nor offer to cover costs incurred. I can't recommend this company unless your finances are shockingly simple, you don't mind doing repeated running around for more documents, you simply must have the best deal, and you can accommodate delays. In that case: go for it. Otherwise I just recommend using them for price comparison since their website is awesome.
Stay away from this company. Dont even think about it. Go to a good bank. This company is a nightmare to work with. Lost documents that were sent in 2 or more times, delay after delay. Excuse after excuse. Your loan is handled by more than one person and I dont think they are on the same planet. I'll bet the owner writes a reply to this post with the usual spin reply.
Stay away!!! I have never dealt with a more pushy, aggressive, condescending, arrogant sales person in my life, Brad C (look him up, he claims to be in the top "producers" in the country). This guy is a flat out jerk and the fact Amerisave allows him to operate in such away shows a lot about a company. From calling his competition liars to down right making demands of me, the customer, is unreal. This guy will bully you until he gets what he wants, your money! An absolute disgrace!
Horrible experience!!!! Dealt with an idiot named Ronald F. who was very unprofessional and ended up having to use another mortgage company. My credit was excellent and I was later approached by 3 other Amerisave agents. After my initial experience, I wanted nothing to do with them. When dealing with a dreams, no one should have to deal with such an unprofessional company.
Read the BBB reports. Its true. I started out with big promises from Amerisave. I explained my situation of an employment gap, and all was stated to be well. Then after spending money for the appraisal and termite inspection, the file stayed pending for 3 weeks in underwriting. I was eligible based on my documentaiton, and according to the VA and the VA underwiting guidelines, but they still just stalled my file. I had 400K in equity in my home for a refinance. Terrible., Liars and misleading. Then they tried to cover their asss by swapping out my loan disclosures to remove the cash out. I think this company is bull. I should have read the Better busines burea report and fine they paid first.
I was looking to Refinance my home. I got a call from Larry Ostrowski of Amerisave. He was extremely helpful and helped me fill out the paper work at about midnight and told me all I wanted to hear BUT as soon as I paid about 500 bucks for the home inspections, He was vanished could not help me after 5 PM or on weekend and said he don't work late or on weekends.
I started getting piles of paper work to fill and even same paper work again and again and one day he would say It's all he needed and than next he would need piles more. they keep dragging my case and than later said they can't do it. My money for the home inspection was lost and so was HE. Please don't fall for him. These folks are scam. Don't pay them anything until you get your loan or you be like me with nothing in the middle of no where. Good luck...!!! STAY AWAY from THEM.. If you can...

We had a lot of moving parts to our financial situation and Matthew was always the consummate professional. Smart, creative, responsive and eager to make it work. He was patient and methodical is running 4-5 different loan and downpayment scenarios until we came up with a deal that worked for everyone.
We will be referring EVERYONE in our closest circle to Matthew when seeking a mortgage...
After sitting on submitted HOA bylaws for 4 weeks and a closing extension due to delays in Amerisave's processing, someone finally looked at the documents and reported the loan was not possible due to the HOA restrictions.
Ryan Day, the loan processor, told our Realtors in an email that we were not included in that he had "dropped the ball" and was impossible to get a hold of. He returned our calls or emails less than 10% of the time, requiring us to always go around him to the loan originator to receive any type of update. This lack of communication did not improve after repeated complaints.
Amerisave acted in an extremely unprofessional and amateurish manner, resulting in wasted time and money for their client. We are now doing a cash transaction on the property to save the deal and will spread the word to our networks to avoid Amerisave.
I refinanced with Amerisave because of the great ratings I saw online. My loan originator Richard was great. My loan processor was terrible. Shirvica had poor communication, overlooked several fees that I was not supposed to be charged by the title company, and made my closing date take longer than expected. I constantly had research information on why I was being charged certain fees and I always had to call her to see what was going on with my loan. At closing they send a local notary to have all the paperwork signed and you can't even ask them any questions about anything because they are not allowed to. Then after closing on my refinance my loan gets sold to a mortgage company that has a terrible reputation for mishandling customers mortgages and escrow accounts. At no point during the loan process was I told that my loan was going to immediately be sold off to some random mortgage company that I've never heard of. (Phh mortgage) I should of just refinanced with a major bank like BOFA or Wells Fargo.
I wouldn't waste a star on them but you have to add a star to comment. Just some details on my experience. They loose paper work, procrastinate on everything, they lie and point the finger at who ever they can when it is them who drops the ball. Those are some of the minor issues mentioned. This is buy far the worst company you can go through. Why should it take 2 months to buy a house with a credit score of 789? STAY AWAY DEFINITELY!!!!

Horrible experience, you do ALL the work all they do is call you at dinner time and order you to complete wrong paperwork then ask you to redo it. I dealt with Marcus Stiller and Kristian Jorgensen.........
I am starting to feel like, what have I done. I gave them the money 2 days ago. I got a call from the appraiser that is waiting on the FHA. case number. The appraiser told me it usually takes a couple of hours to receive number. I spoke to the FHA ppl and they said it may take up to 24hours (usually the longest) to get a case number. FHA told me lender can call to see what is the hold up. Called person at Amerisave after giving me a hard time, because I have the appraiser approved, he said he would call FHA. I know he is lying...... Here we go I have a feeling this will be a long process. Appraisal did come through... will keep you updated on process.
I guess nobody monitors this website either. Sent one this week and surprise surprise no response.
Have been locked out of my online account for 6 weeks now. Unable to make a payment. Does anyone care??? No.
Have spent 4 hours on the phone through many phone calls to your so called customer service department which I think now is located in someones basement.
I have been lied to every time I have called. No follow up.
Employees only wish to give false info to customer to get them off the phone.
Just do the minimum in order to keep those paychecks coming in, screw the customer.
Your company is the worst.

Amerisave saved me thousands of dollars by offering me a refinance when other lenders would only consider doing a mortgage. They simply have more resources and are able to do what other, smaller lenders cannot do, and for a lower rate. Additionally, the employees that I dealt with were extremely friendly and professional. I was not passed from anonymous person to person; I worked with the same people throughout. The process was so simple and pleasant that I want to buy more homes.
My REFI Loan Originator and Loan Processor were awesome to work with. Helped out with all questions and walked me through a few things. The process was quick and easy. Rate Lock to Closing Disclosures in 13 days. That is NOT a typo- YES, Lock to Closing Disclosures in 13 days. I can't even believe that It's done in such a short amount of time. Thank you so much!
Both James (Loan Originator) and Jeremy (Loan Processor) were extremely helpful in guiding me through the products and process and helping me settle on the product that made the most sense for my family. I was never passed on to someone else and wasn’t pressured in anyway. No one came close to their rates. The communication was great and the process was seamless right through closing. The technology of the AmeriSave portal and process of understanding exactly where the loan was in the process was also very helpful.
Hunter and Jeremy were both very helpful and responsive. They replied to my questions and concerns quickly and efficiently throughout the process. They tried to make the experience easy and painless, which they did. The sheets that Amerisave provides, before you even pick what mortgage you want, made me choose you. My entire process went through without any delays. It was quick and easy. All the forms that was needed was listed on my loan page. I gathered all the information and upload them. My loan originator was Jessica Gibson. She was in constant communication with me. She answered all my questions about the different types of loans, did some calculated for me when I asked questions about paying off the loan quicker. She was a great help! I then had the opportunity to work with Theresa Smith my loan processor. She was on top of everything. She really made the process quick and easy. Thank you all for your help and making 'MY' refinancing process seem smooth. The entire process took less than a month.

Your staff has been extremely courteous. I had several questions regarding this loan and they answered everything thoroughly and with a quick response. They kept me up to date on every step. In addition to your staff, your website is extremely helpful. It's well designed and easy to use.
Both Christopher Miller and Corey Jameson were exceptionally helpful and patient (I asked a lot of questions). They were detail-oriented and communicated very clearly. I felt well-informed every step of the way. Everything went smoothly and I felt very safe using the online portal.

Amanda and Ross were great to work with. Ross was good about finding me the best rate and closing costs while also explaining the company policy of guaranteeing the best deal I could find within a communicated window. Amanda was excellent at keeping me informed. I read some reviews online about the administrator of the loan process not keeping the borrower informed and the process moving forward. This was not the case for me. From the time of application to closing was 3 weeks for me, staff was tentative, friendly, and kept me updated on the status of the loan as well as tasks for me to complete. This helped the process to move forward. The entire process was quick and easy.
Fast response to my emails, even after hours. Between 2011-2015, I've gotten two mortgages from AmeriSave. AmeriSave has decent rates, communicates well, and has not missed any deadlines for me. UPDATE: A third home purchase in 2017 did not go smoothly. There were significant communication issues that nearly derailed the purchase. I raised a potential blocker 24 hours before a deadline and was unable to get an answer after multiple escalations. During this third application I felt as if they didn't care about my application or business. I will not do business with Amerisave again.

Used AmeriSave for refi on our home. Only positive thing I can say is that it was fast process and turnaround. This is also the bad part is that we felt like we were just another number that the loan officer and processor had to process. We got really poor communication, explanation and responses to questions. We get emails about new documents with instructions to download or sign without any info on what we are downloading or signing. Even correspondence on closing instructions via email were not properly handled and missed. This resulted unplanned cost that we had to dish out. Fortunately we had the funds otherwise 30 days wasted and/or forgo the appraisal cost. Even after closing my wife sent an email with questions and got zero reply. Next! Calling number 75?
The process from start to finish was great. Adam and Matt were very helpful and thorough in explaining what was needed. I highly recommend AmeriSave.
Overall, decent job, but some unwelcome surprises (pricing discrepancies/timing issues) caused some extra stress. One NOTABLE ISSUE (false information/lie?): Before starting the loan process, I was told that AmeriSave rarely sells their mortgages and instead are kept in house. Our mortgage was sold immediately and a customer service rep told me that the mortgages are "always" sold. You could bake a nice cake, but if you pour sardine juice on it, it really gives it a bad taste.
They wLked me through the process and it very stress free. There was no bait and switch. You are able to chooose the rate and costs involved with it. There is no origination fee which saves you an extra 1600 on your losing costs which competition will not waive. The team of Preston and Thomas made sure your loan went smoothly as possible. If you have any questions, they took your calls and emails in a timely manner.
I got a great rate but the person who processed my mortgage messed up the initial due date. I actually pushed back the closing to push back my first mortgage payment and was promised that would happen. Imagine my surprise when the bill arrived and there was “nothing they could do”. He just wanted to close the loan and be done with it.
AmeriSave is the best mortgage company I ever dealt with. I am savings thousands of dollars a year and truly appreciate all their help. They powered through all the paperwork with no problems.

Pitiful. No stars. Two and a half freaking months I have now waited to refinance my home and they still never completed it. We've had an appraisal for more than a month and half and title work for more than a month. I rushed to get things to them every time I was asked for something and every time they said we weren't far out on a closing. When they sent the final email asking for more information, I laughed and told them I wasn't sending more information. They never even apologized. Instead, they made some ridiculous remark about wishing they could have impressed me...I just wish they would have done their jobs. I didn't need impressed. I needed a refinance and they clearly have no idea what they're doing.
Very responsive and quick service. Everything discussed was accomplished within a fair time frame. Be aware that Amerisave will sell your loan to a third party, however, all terms and conditions stay the same. Even that transition though was clear and easy.
Great experience to the end support. My agent was fantastic and I never felt more confident in the process. AmeriSave is my Choice and would recommend to all my friends.
Very pushy. I told telemarketer that I was not interested 3 times trying to be nice and after the 3rd time he got an attitude with me. I hung up before I lost my cool on him. Because of that call I will never use this company for any reason. Very poor client interaction!

I applied for a pre-approval on a home refinance. The loan agent I was working with was Mr. Brian Fincanon. After having a family emergency I tried to contact him, with no response. I also contacted customer service and the BBB. It has been several weeks and the issue of my $500 credit being reversed has not been resolved. I am now looking for an attorney to pursue legal action. I cannot express what a disappointment this has been and I highly urge you to beware. It appears that this guy is crooked. I will never do business with this agency and will share this info with all my friends and relatives to save them from the most horrible customer service that I have ever experienced.
Really easy to work with, low costs and friendly. However after closing , 2 weeks later they transferred my loan to another servicer. Havent even made a payment yet. Not surprising but if you're looking for a company to keep your loan with I dont know if this is it.
Started calling me and left voicemails for me. When I finally answered, told them I'm bot interested in their service and to please quit calling. Again, they called again and got an attitude when I told them not to call. Told me if I was an adult and told them, maybe they would, but I already told them. If I need their service, I would contact them, not the other way around.
These people are relentless. I made the mistake almost a year ago of researching mortgage rates online and I no sooner had entered my phone number than the phone began to ring. After requesting to be removed from their call list they still are calling me a year later. I will never NEVER use Amerisave mortgage because of their harassing and bullying tactics.
I was placed on some list where they call me 5x per day. I finally answered the phone call and the service rep was extremely rude! I told him we were going to wait 6 months until we do our refi and he said, "Fine!" And then just hung up. That's fine, your company just made it really easy for me to decide to never do business with you in the future.
Did three refi cash out loans on different properties with this company. Last one was a joke!!! I had three different Loan Originators. Manager talked in circles for the company. Felt like used car salesmen. Phone number and emails to customer service were never answered. Was left with "We don't force anyone to take a loan" and "Your getting this much money...". Changed rates on me. Waited for a month and few days before closing, then was told the statements above. They are all about telling you what it takes to get the loan and for you to never question anything.

These guys took $500 from me and didnt deliver on the initial terms promised before starting the loan application process. I was promised a $400 reduction and removal of PMI. What I got in the end was $183 reduction in payment, continue paying PMI for first 4yrs of new loan and $16,000 in closing costs added to my mortgage balance. I asked for refund of application fee since they sent my loan for rejection. These guys are con-artists, using bait and switch techniques and empty promises. But they don't care after they get the initial $500. They are also very pushy in trying to get you to sign final disclosures so they can get the loan to close. If you ask any questions of them, the questions are not answered and you are given some salesman talk about the loan. STAY FAR AWAY FROM AMERISAVE AND THEIR COMPANY!

Loan Officer Leontay B. & Loan Processor Chris S. are excellent! This is my THIRD experience with AmeriSave, and service like theirs is why I keep coming back! This is my first with Leontay and my third with Chris. They both exceeded my expectations.
Leontay prepared everything and answered all of my questions before the handoff to Chris for processing. Leontay was responsive to all communications, very knowledgeable, and professional. His pleasant demeanor & confident conveyance of his knowledge and experience eases any customer’s tension regarding the application & getting started with the paperwork. Paperwork gathering is not a favorite of mine but Leontay made it as least time consuming for me as he could by researching my “repeat customer” file and moving from there. I REALLY appreciated that! I also appreciated the way he directly yet delicately corrected a totally incorrect assumption on my part regarding the type of services that Amerisave provides. That particular conversation will directly result in Amerisave getting a fourth call for business from me because I now know that they can meet that need too!
The processing experience with Chris was also amazing. He works fast but very thoroughly, and gives summarized status updates. This is why I specifically asked for Chris. (The fact that Leontay passed my special request for Chris along and Amerisave even entertained it also set them apart from others in my mind). An example of Chris’ awesome no nonsense summaries: “We have received a, b, c & d...a, b, & c are fine but Im waiting to see if d is sufficient. We still need e & f, but I have already contacted the entities for those multiple times so we are waiting on their responses; I’ll let you know when we get e & f; and that is where we are”. I like this because it gives the customer that “light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel” relief (as in, the paperwork gathering part is done! Yes!).
Both Leontay & Chris are very responsive to emails, excellent with returning calls, and so pleasant to speak with over the phone. The speed with which they got it all done was head spinning. I have come to Amerisave now for 2 purchases and 1 refinance. I now consider Leontay B. & Chris S. part of my financial Dream Team. I will absolutely be returning when the time comes in August for transaction #4. Great individual work & nice teamwork gentlemen!! Thank you!
