How would you rate Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center?
Found dead bugs in my bed! When I called the front desk, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I called again and was moved to a room down the hall. No one followed up with me the next day to see if my new room was okay or to confirm whether or not the bugs I found were in fact bed bugs. I finally tracked down another manager 24 hours later and was told "we tested the bugs and we do not believe they are bed bugs". Regardless of whether or not they are bed bugs, they are big black bugs in my bed! I did not receive an apology or any other compensation for my troubles. I will never stay at this hotel again. It's dirty!
Recently I stayed at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott. I arrived at around 2am thinking I would not get any sleep because I was on the 13th floor facing the runway. I slept until 11am without hearing one plane takeoff. I looked out the window and planes were constantly taking off.
After complaining to the manager of the hotel they were more than happy to make changes for me. Since then I have stayed at the Buckhead Marriott. I believe it has been about three months.
I checked out of your hotel hours ago, after spending 3 days and 2 nights at this property for the first time and I am truly impressed. The beauty of the rooms, the customer service, to location are all perfect. Shula's (The restaurant on the property) has high quality food, and plus the mall is across the street. But what I loved the most about this location and the reason I will becoming back soon is first one reason and one reason only (yeah this might sound stupid, smiles)
Those comfortable bath robs that feel like clouds. Man those robs are the most comfortable and softest robs I ever wore in my life. I stayed at the JW Marriott before (the property down the street) and to be so nice there robs feel like sand paper. But you guys robs are the best!!!
I came here for a conference. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms and facilities are very nice. The location is directly across from the Lenox mall. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here on 8/23/14. I usually love Marriott.. This was a decent hotel for the money. There was no fridge in the room which i thought was pretty unacceptable for $120.
I also ended up getting GLASS in my Foot from the hallway... Clean your hallways.
On a recent trip to Atlanta, I decided to treat myself to a nicer hotel than my usual. Based upon the photos of the rooms, and the location of the hotel, I chose this Marriott.
The hotel lobby and hallways are grand. Upon opening the door to my room, though, I was underwhelmed. This room was over $200 per night, and really wasn't any better than other rooms I've had for $75 or a bit more. It wasn't as spacious as others I've had. The furniture was nice, but the close quarters left little room to move about. There was nothing to suggest that this room was anything special.
The cost of the room continued to grow. Valet parking is $32 per night. Self-park is $16, but you have to walk from the garage to the hotel outside, which, if it's raining, is a pain. Wi-Fi was an additional $12.95 per night. I know there's many "upscale" hotels that charge for all of the extras, but the $200+ for the tiny room should cover those.
My biggest complaint was noise. I had asked for a quiet room, away from elevators, ice machines, etc. I got that, but my room was just 20 feet from two very large air handlers on a roof outside my window. They run almost constantly, and sound like jet engines at 3 am. That's when I was awakened by the noise of the guest in the next room using the bathroom. I really expected better soundproofing. For the next five hours, I was treated to the sound of the air handlers turning off and on, and the sound of the next guest's toilet flushing every half hour. Around 5 am I started hearing doors slam up and down the hall, as guests began to move about.
Another legitimate complaint is that the mattress sagged. As I laid awake listening to the toilet and the air handlers, my back was just screaming.
I was at the hotel for two nights. With the room fee, valet parking, and internet, I shelled out about $500 for a room that wasn't as nice as one that would have cost under $200 somewhere else.
It's clean, and the staff is helpful and pleasant, but it's just not worth the money.
Very nice just need better employees with good attitude
On a recent trip to Atlanta, we decided to treat myself to a nicer hotel since it was my husbands birthday. We chose this Marriott because of the location. We checked in a after midnight, there was no valet attendent visiable, went to check in and was advised that valet paking was $32 or self parking $24. We valet parked because we had just drove over 400 miles and was tired. This was odd the bellman was complaining about everything. I request a King bed and got a double, it wasn't as spacious at all. There was nothing to suggest that this room was anything special. Wi-Fi was an additional $12.95 per night. Our complaint was noise we could here the bathroom flush from above also people in the hall way, we were awakened by the housekeepers who had there meeting in the halls area right outside our room. I really expected better soundproofing. Room service was okay, and the check out staff was friendly.
Horrible! Service- nearly none. At the Bar / Restaurant you wait forever, also if u are the only one inside.. No refilling of drinks until u say it 2 times. Very unhealthy choice of food. I left the Hotel at 09:00h in the morning - came back at 5pm still no roomservice was done!! I cant belive it. Plus its extremely loud , every two minutes someone slams the door of his hotelroom and this doors close everything else than silent. And you hear even when your neighbour uses the Restroom.. I nearly live in Hotels im traveling constantely but this is a Joke here!! Pool is nice Gym also. Thats the only good thing.
I had the worst experience of my life at this hotel, given it's located in one of the best areas in Atlanta. The moment we parked our car by the curb to check in, we were honked at by a cab driver, as we reached the reception, the lady pretended that we did not exist until I said hello to her. Upon knowing that we reserved the room using hotwire or priceline, she decided to give us the worst room on their worst floor (1st floor). The whole floor smelled like marijuana and smoke, and you could hear college kids partying like crazy until 4 AM in the morning. In short, please avoid this hotel if you decide to stay in Buckhead area.
Location was awesome for shopping. Right across the road from Lenox Square. Our room was great and clean, the view is the only real downside. I also wish breakfast from the hotel wasn't an additional $20, although it was a great selection from buffet.
The parking garage was on. It was not very well lit, nor was they're clearly marked signs. I had no idea which way to go because there were no arrows telling you which way to go. The rooms were okay, nothing special, they did their job and that was sufficient for me. The reception was okay. At one point there was no one there and I stood there waiting for someone. I only actually saw two employees the entire time I was there and they were one person in valet and 1 person at the reception desk. If you don't have high expectations this hotel will do, I was okay with it except for those minor issues.
Service and food were great. It's a big place, we got a little turned around a few times. Enjoyed it overall.
The room was great. The staff was friendly. You have to pay to park, which is weird but I hear that is everywhere in Buckhead. Would stay there again.
Someone came in and committed an armed robbery. While I was there. Marriott did nothing but offer a nights stay. It took weeks befor I could even get that. I Will never stay there again! Customer services was no help at all. Unresolved issues.
Not my favorite Marriott. Lots of nicer and newer hotels in the area. Staff was nice. Internet was slow and unstable. Windows leaked. Doors didn't keep out sound. Beds squeaked. Basically the location has a nice lobby but needs and overhaul
Older hotel. Some things I see written here a should be expected. The armed robbery was not their fault, the complainer was not the victim, they gave him a free night, what else could they have done... Overall great customer service. Great Hotel. I would like to see a continental style breakfast. Their breakfast restaurant is rather pricy. Same for the on site restaurant. Very pricy.
Attended an event at one of the conference rooms. The overall experience was good. Sound was clear enough, screens on the side convenient and enough seating for something like 100+ attendants (maybe?). Overall satisfied with it.
For the price the room was just okay. There was no soap in the room. No fridge or microwave either. For this price those amenities should be included. The conference center for our event was great though, with awesome helpful staff.
Visited the hotel for a business meeting. We decided to meet there and get dinner. Staff for the restaurant was a little distant. But overall everything was pretty good. The special mix of ground beef for the burger was a definite high note. Place was clean and generally inviting. I would go back.
Older Marriott, but comfortable. This is the second time I've stayed here and it meets my needs for being clean quiet, and close to where I need to go. Internet is also surprisingly fast for a hotel, though I plugged in vs wifi. It lacks the glamor of the nearby jw Marriott, but it's also much less per night.
This hotel is not what you think. Never stayed at a Marriott this was my first and my last. This hotel offer nothing but a bed and a very very small bathroom. No hot water called waited 2 hrs for someone to come finally went to bEd. There are no extra in the room, refrigerator, microwave etc. You get nothing. Then they charge you 24$ to park. No breakfast unless you want to pay. Go the holiday inn express and learn how they treat their guess and correct your hotel. We were in a strange little area you open one door and two room were there. The outside door got slammed at least 2 or 3 times around 2 in the morning every night. We had to sleep late one morning because of this and missed our ggranddaughters first cheerleading competition. Thank you but no thank you for another stay. Not going to happen.
I love the location and the overall appearance of the hotel. The staff was very nice and friendly. I would come here again.
Hotel was pleasant to your eye, nice pool and the reception area. The rooms were extremely loud. No sound masking and you can hear walking guests in the hallway in the middle of the night. We spent a Memorial weekend with the family, beds were super uncomfortable, do not recommend for family stay. They definitely need to invest money in beds that don't shake! I did not rest this weekend. Mostly I not sleep due to noise and uncomfortable bed. Parking @ hotel was super overpriced.
Great place to call home for a week. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. The lenox mall is walking distance frome the hotel. Great time!
This hotel is not the hotel to stay at if you are a business professional and have to wake up early, for presentations, clients etc... Unfortunately, my colleagues and I have come to the conclusion that they are desperate for business as they allow riff raff to congregate at the hotel pool all night and if thats not already an issue the metal pool gate slams shut echoing througout all night. On top of that, the hotel doors slam all night because they dont have stoppers. Also, there were cops at the hotel our first week and a co worker found out they were busting a prostitution ring. Lastly, three days ago the air conditioner went out in the entire hotel leaving the rooms sweltering hot all night in the middle of summer and the hotel manager refused to comp that night even thought my compnybhas spent over $20,000 in the last two weeks. Its probably safe to say my company will no longer do business here. The hotel may respong to this because its probably listed in the managers job descriptionto respong to reviews but in actuality they do not care nor will they prevent these occurences.
I was only there for a night but the room was clean and provided a decent amount of choice for channels. Bathroom a little on the small side and same for the bed. Stayed for breakfast, which was good, and then check out. Overall pretty good but nothing amazing
I loved this place because upon walking into the very warm and spacious lobby, after being greeted with smiles from valet, I felt like this was a comfortable temporary home. Right across the street is the prestigious Lenox Mall & not much farther is Phipps Plaza. I did not stay in the hotel, but I was visiting other guests and I felt just as welcome as if I were staying. The lobby and bar areas are very open, scenic, & great for socializing and playing when not busy working. The complimentary beverages available are healthy & refreshing. The only issue that I saw as a visitor is that the room that I visited did not have a microwave or mini fridge. I would think that to be included in every room, especially since the hotel is a conference center & should be set up for any business person on the go.
Great service.....everyone at the hotel so far are polite, professional and above and beyond. Rooms are clean. The air purifier completes the A+ service. They have a bar and restaurant with great service. I will definitely come back
I stayed here on business for 3 weeks. Stayed on concierge level so rooms were nice, bed was awesome. We asked for fridge and microwave and they accommodated us with both, no charge. Concierge lounge was great! Staff took care of us and was able to make our 3 weeks here more pleasant and less stressful.
Hot water was in and out and required a maintenance call. I had a room with a king bed that was low and crooked on the right side, had a hill in the middle, and was normal on the left. I was in town for a week and did not have a fridge in my room. I have paid less elsewhere for such an amenity. Because of the nature of the conference, hotel is completely booked and I am sure I will have to deal with the issues. The staff has been really nice about things so far though.
I stayed at this property for a month and experienced quite a few ups and downs. The property is nice and I really like the location but where it's lacking seems to be the folks pushing the buttons behind the curtain.
Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few here that make the stay worth it but you can't run an entire property on a few managers trying to guide everyone while also trying to undo the poor quality (or lack thereof) of management style by the others.
The Lenox Bar and Grill has much to be desired. From what I've heard, things have gone downhill fast ever since the change from Shula's. They're understaffed at hours like 8 or 9pm on a Saturday night. I understand management saying that normally they're staffed proper but that's no excuse for having one or two servers covering the bar, patio, and dining room areas downstairs. I've spoken with most of the servers and managers and believe it or not they're all candid and willing to say how they feel without filter. Most, if not all, of their opinions and feelings on how things are run seem to line up. Don't believe me, ask a server.
The housekeeping staff is a classic story of doing the absolute least they can to get by. I opted out of housekeeping but still asked them for fresh sheets and towels once a week. The comforter cover I had was unique in that there were miscellaneous tears and blemishes which made it easy to identify. Out of the three times I requested housekeeping during the week, twice I came back from work to find they simply made the bed with the same sheets. It wasn't until I tracked down a manager and requested new sheets that they obliged. When I ask for things like tissue or towels in the mornings as I pass them in the hall, they look at me like I just asked to borrow money. Piss poor attitudes outnumber the few that are actually courteous and do their jobs.
The concierge lounge is about on par with the rest of the property. The food is standard issue Marriott fare that seems to strive for mediocrity and hits the mark every time. We were harassed about the honor bar… the concierge staff up there had the nerve to accuse my program director of not marking down the drink he poured. Then, she would hover around me like a hawk any time I walked even close to the alcohol. Really bad choice in trying to show those who either have the status or paid extra to be up there just how appreciated they are.
Now, Chef Green has some good stuff going on in the kitchen. I would recommend the Lenox burger which is a standard Marriott burger on pretzel bun as well as the soul rolls. Granted, there are quite a few great places to eat and unwind within walking distance of the property so for the most part I’d recommend getting out there. But when it’s late night and you don’t want to leave you can almost always find something on the Lenox menu that will do the job.
For breakfast, if you have lounge access I’d strongly recommend waiting until the lounge pulls their breakfast food and go downstairs to the dining room. If you have lounge access you can also get breakfast downstairs once they pull food upstairs. The staff in the dining room for breakfast is so helpful and courteous and it’s an overall much better experience than whomever is relinquished to tending the concierge lounge.
My final thoughts on this particular Marriott are that unless I can get a room on the 8th floor and at the same rate I have now, I’d definitely look elsewhere because you’ve got plenty of options in the Atlanta Buckhead area. Unfortunately, this property seems to think they’re the only show in town which only serves to their own demise.
I enjoyed my stay here. The location is really convenient for exploring Buckhead. The accomodations were as described and the restaurant in the lobby was wonderful. No complaints.
The staff has been very kind and accommodating. They've done a remarkable job with our group that has been staying.
Rooms are clean and most importantly, beds are very comfortable. The restaurant is above average (im not a foodie) in my opinion. Location is great, next to good shopping and restaurants. Overall, very pleasant.
Nice place to stay visiting Buckhead. Lenox mall is right across a street. Personal is friendly and helpfull, wallet parking is good...
For a mid-level convention hotel, it's just fine. Clean, service team is very helpful and attentive, and the rooms are basic but solid.. Close to shopping and other amenities.

Attended a conference at this hotel. Meals were in the conference dining hall. Food was bland and boring. Room was nice enough. Nothing spectacular, but comfortable. Conference area is great. Staff was accommodating and friendly.
The rooms are cozy and staff is pleasant. Location is right in the heart of Buckhead so there is plenty to do within walking distance.
Wow this place is nice! It has everything. Valet, self park, free Starbucks. Too much to list. And the staff is amazing!
The lobby is remodeled and the rooms are clean, but concierge lounge is adequate at best. The location is convenient to Lenox Mall and Marta stops. The restaurant is okay. I will stay again if no better options are available.
Stayed for two nights (4/7-4/8), staff was very helpful and nice. Great location.
Biggest complaint was with the gym. It was easily noticeable that the gym was not cleaned daily. It was very dirty with towels left laying on the floor, trash left on the floor next to the equipment, and dust piling up in the corners and on some pieces of cardio equipment. I understand they cannot have someone constantly cleaning the gym but the same towels and trash I noticed on Friday and Saturday were still there Sunday morning.
Will not be returning to this location.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean however, the front desk is pretty worthless. We ordered breakfast for our rooms each night for the following morning for specific times because we had a major time constraint this trip (as we were there for a volleyball tournament). Unfortunately, our food never came on time. When I called the front desk (6 different times in 2 days) they either hung up, put me on hold and never returned or said they would find out and call back but never did. The employee that brought us our food (eventually) said the front desk had JUST put in the order. I'm unsure if there is a communication problem or what the issue is but it is a serious problem. The front desk definitely needs to be more aware and accommodating to the guests.
I miss this beautiful hotel. The staff are amazing. As for the issue I had with the tv, I appreciate what Theo did for me.
The staff is fabulous. The restaurant is open all hours. The rooms are clean with nice bedding. Good location. And they have snacks, drinks, and hors d'ourves out all day.
Horrible service throughout my only 1 night stay. Then on check out, they managed to charge me 2 times and my company once for my 1 night stay. One of the charges to me was grossly over the cost of the room. When I called to say I have 2 erroneous charges on my credit card that need to be reversed, I was told, by 2 different people, that there was nothing that could be done. Not even sorry for their awful service and corrupt practices. I just hope people read this and choose any other establishment to stay while in Atlanta. You will be sorry if you use this facility.
Location was nice, rooms were okay at best. Our room's charging station was falling off the wall. The hotel was VERY loud and getting a good night sleep was impossible even after we complained about loud neighbors.
I visited Atlanta last march of 2016 and booked a room at this hotel and was very impressed on how nice the staff was and how clean it was!!! This past weekend I returned for Memorial Day vacation, again same hotel because I loved it. However after getting settled, I received a call that an immediate family member had passed back home in Nashville. After explaining the situation to the Young man and lady at the check-in desk, I offered to pay for one night if I could cancel the rest of my remaining days, needing to leave to go back to Nashville. The staff was so complying, they let me leave free of charge. From the bottom of my heart it meant everything to me. Whenever I visit Atlanta, this will always and I mean always be the hotel I stay at! Thanks again to the amazing staff.
Terrible stay. I stayed for 2 nights only because it was a holiday weekend and hotel rates were thru the roof Memorial Day weekend. Cons: No wifi. No complimentary breakfast. No wash towels in room, an ironing board but no iron. No microwave. Hotel Room very small. Very disappointed. Waste of money. I could've stayed at a 5-star hotel for the same rate.
I asked them to clean my room and they just made the beds. They didn't empty trash nor give new towels. I'll never stay at this hotel again.
June, 2016 our room was great however staff not very welcoming. The real problem came after we left. I realized I'd left an expensive piece of jewelry on the vanity mirror. I called the hotel about five hours after leaving on Sunday afternoon, and was told housekeeping was closed and I'd have to call back Monday. I told them where the necklace was on the vanity and thought perhaps they would send someone to check. Said they couldn't do anything till next day. Called next morning and was told nothing had been turned in and housekeeper for that room was off that day. Asked to speak to manager and he said he would check and get back with me next day, Tuesday. Never got call. I called back on Friday and manager said housekeeper said she saw nothing. I felt staff could have at least looked on Sunday when I reported it left in room. At that point the room may not have been rented yet and it could possibly have been returned. Poor, poor customer service at that time. I should have gone straight to corporate but left it alone. Now after a year , I'm posting this rant. Still miss my 25th anniversary gift and sorry I was so careless in leaving it.
Bit noisy and building is showing it's age. The staff more than made up for the aged building. First night we were above people with a balcony that liked to party into the wee hours. Next day we were moved to another floor and the remaining nights were restful.
Upon arrival, I was told my room was "on hold" for an unspecified amount of time even though my $600 reservation was made a month in advance. The clerk asked for my phone number and said they would call me if a (my) room opened up. I never received a call and was forced to sleep in a colleagues room. In addition, the air conditioning for one of the main conference rooms failed for the entirety of my company's stay. Literally hotter than Hades. Apart from the poor management and organization during my stay, the room service staff and food service staff were very nice and professional. The food was incredible, props to the chef.
The staff was extremely accommodating and the hotel was impeccable. The room had an amazing shower and the bed was very comfortable. The parking was kind of expensive at $28 per day. That's the only drawback I had from my experience. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was awesome! The rooms were very clean and neat, with soft pillows. We got a room with a balcony and seeing the buildings at night was so pretty. They had cookies in the lobby! That's always a good sign. But the best thing had to be the restautant where we had the breakfast buffet - wow that was delicious and amazing! Fantastic selection, I wanted to eat everything, and the staff was exceptionally kind and courteous!
Leaving my original review below for context - but I will be changing this to say that the front desk staff were very understanding this morning when we went to find out why I was evicted. We informed them that I was told at check-in an incorrect thing. They immediately rectified it and oulined their policies for me and I was given my room back. So I maintain that this hotel has possibly the friendliest staff maybe ever!
Everyone on staff is very, very nice. I was so impressed. Then I got one noise complaint due to not seeing my friends for an entire year - we were catching up and got too loud, I will admit. we rapidly cleared out the noise upon the complaint. Immediately! I was still kicked out of my room with no "warnings" given. Also, I was told by your front desk that smoking on the balcony was permitted. I was told by security I will be charged $250 for smoking, even though it all took place OUTSIDE after they told me that was okay. I have never had a problem anywhere before and this just made me sad - I was willing to comply with whatever hotel staff said. They stranded me in the middle of the night, instead.
The staff here is *wonderful*. The most genuine nice and helpful welcoming people you could ever hope to meet.
However bring your own pillows (if you need firm ones).. theirs are quite soft so they may not be firm enough for you as is.
Pool is okay. Staff, once again, absolutely top notch, best in.the business. Stop and talk with them during your stay, you will be glad you did!
This place is great. The quality of service you receive at the Buckhead Marriott is what you would expect to receive on a five star luxury vacation. The staff is helpful, friendly and prompt. The food is good and the beds are comfy. The facility is also incredibly clean! 5 stars!
Great hotel! Did not have high expectations based on exterior and the price we received, but was pleasantly surprised. Awesome location right across from Lenox mall and MARTA stop, and walking in you'll find a newly-renovated hotel without the hectic activity of a large property. The bar is super cool and modern with TV's everywhere, there's a porch overlooking Lenox Rd., and the college football flags outside are a nice reminder of where you are. The staff was actually amazing, and I hardly ever notice that aspect of a hotel. Extremely professional, and three separate members of the breakfast staff made a point to check in on us while we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet. If staying in a comfortable, nice hotel in the middle of Bulkhead is your goal, spend the extra money elsewhere and go with this hotel. Probably the best Marriott experience I've ever had.
Made reservation a month ago to attend a conference hosted by the hotel. Checked in at 8:00 pm after a flight from Florida alone in Atlanta and was told they overbooked and I no longer had a room and this was hotel policy to overbook. After asking for help from another worker, they located a room so I felt it was resolved. In less than 24 hours I was called by hotel management for a noise complaint when there was no noise in the room. In fact the hotel maintenance had just come in to fix a broken television as I'd just returned to the room from dinner and had a shower. I was reprimanded and told I was now being given my first warning. I asked the manager to come up who did and could verify the noise level. Additionally this was 8:30 pm. I was told that it was hotel policy to issue a noise warning and reprimand even though there was no noise and this could be verified by their own employee who was in the room just prior to the call. I have stayed in Hilton hotels all around the world and have never experienced these types of rules or disregard to the customer. It has been very disappointing even though it was such a wonderful day of the conference I'm attending.
I will never try to book this hotel again. So I used a family friend's discount code to get a room. I get to the check in counter the day of and the woman states that I need a form in order to get the room at that rate. Couldn't get in contact with my friend so we cancelled the room and left. No one notified me about any type of refund policy, no one gave me any type of cancellation number, nothing. Long story short, they charged us for the room anyway and now refusing to give a refund. I've spoken to 3 different people already and they're all saying different things. Save your money and please go to another customer friendly hotel!
Great hotel right across from the mall. Modern Decor. Love the complimentary lounge access for platinum members. The bar and restaurant is also nice with great food. Most of the employees went above and beyond to make sure you're happy with your stay. The ladies/employees in the lounge are friendly and helpful with info about the area and spots to go to
The quality of service was good. We stayed at this hotel for a conference and everything was taken good care of by the staff. Hotel was a little hard to locate since I am not from the area. The room was nice, clean, and a good bed. I was lucky to have an outdoor space as well. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area.
Nice hotel. Needs some updating. Especially in the rooms. Great location. Really friendly and helpful staff. Even had a food runner at the restaurant sit down with me and talk football for a few minutes while in a recent business trip. Definitely would stay here again.
My hotel stay was wonderful. However, we had dinner at Lenox Bar & Grill. It was FREEZING and the service was sub-par at best. Our dinner took an hour to come out. When we asked a manager about the food, he asked what we ordered. When I told him that I ordered a steak, he said "You got it well done right? That's why it's taking so long" I ordered my steak medium (which is how is came out). I ordered a Ribeye, and was brought a NY Strip. I ordered broccoli and was brought green beans. The entire dining experience was terrible and while I enjoyed the hotel stay, I would not recommend that restaurant to ANYONE!
Staff was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. There room was lovely, and had all necessary amenities.. Including a comfortable bed, WiFi, charging station, mini fridge, work desk, TV, ironing and bath supplies.
There is a fitness center, and an outdoor pool and jacuzzi. If you're planning a conference, this is an excellent venue.
Went to the Marriott for a meeting in one of their conference rooms, so I can't fully comment as to the overnight stay. I came to the hotel on foot and the big issue is that when you are walking down Lenox road it isn't immediately clear that the entrance (which it shares with avis and a restaurant) is the one on the street - there's also a ramp that goes down to a separate entrance which was locked when I went there. Apart from that though it appeared to be in very good upkeep and despite the signage on the front of the building being fairly dated it wasn't dirty or run down or anything. The front desk was very helpful and it is located very centrally to Buckhead. As I usually take the red line on MARTA I'm not certain if this is close to a MARTA stop or not (if it is it will be on the yellow line which runs under resurgens plaza to the east of the red line). I don't know the rates here but if they're on par with other hotels in the area I would give strong consideration to staying here, especially if you plan to visit Lenox mall or Phipps plaza.
The hotel & the view we got was beautiful! However no complaints until it came to being charged for the room. I ended up getting double charged & they still have the incidentals on hold. Not really sure if i would stay again because of that !
The staff was great. Check in was quick. Parking was included. The room was clean. The only complaint was the noise. There were a few noisy guests and some noise coming up from the streets. I wish the rooms.were a.little more sound resistant.

Room is large and clean and well stocked with necessities. Front desk have option to waive room service cleaning during my stay which I appreciate and took them up on. Bed was uncomfortable compared to my tempurpedic and woke yup slightly achey. Breakfast and lunch were excellent; good variety in each meal and day to day. Good salad bar and desserts. All hotel staff with whom I have interacted were friendly and helpful.
Beds very comfortable and hotel was very clean. Loved the workout facility! Wish you could grab a bottle of wine in the sundries shop without having to order a glass from room service.
Staff was on point thought our entire visit.

Nice remake on this property. Rooms are nice, but lobby and other areas are very modern. Whole place is super clean. Not many food options, but the stuff here looks good. Looks like there is lots to do nearby. Everyone who works here has been super nice and friendly.
I recently visited the hotel for 3 days for a business meeting. The room was nice. The service was not so great. There were plenty of people available to help, however there were several instances where the person did not do what was agreed upon or the person was rude - requesting telecom equip and services, dry cleaning, Starbucks. I placed the “Privacy” sign on my door and found that my room had been entered without my consent. It was not the Marriott standard I expected.
This hotel was amazing. It’s was conveniently located next to all the shopping and restaurants. The hotel is simply gorgeous and the staff is amazing. I had a few issues with my room but Manager Jeffrey went over and beyond to rectify the situation. Great options for dining inside the hotel if you choose to stay in the hotel. The workout facility was probably the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel and that’s saying a lot because I travel for work. Great pick for and ATL hotel!!!
Booked this hotel last minute to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff has gone above and beyond. Jeffery and Ricky both have helped to make our stay so enjoyable and even gifted us with several complimentary services. Would highly recommend staying here!

Very little disappointed in the service we received at the front desk. I explained that customer care explained something total different then what she had explained. I explained that I can let her see the email, outlining my stay. She didn’t wish to take a look. I ask why would the customer care email and tell me something different then what her records was showing. Her attitude was basically unprofessional. So I checked into my room. Called Customer Care, and they was a little surprise that front desk didn’t see the notes or outline information on my check in. Customer Care places me on hold and called the hotel to clear things up. Manager and customer care both apologize and said they would speak with her. But the notes are there clearly!
Then once I make my way to the restroom, blood on the wall!!! OMG— my mommy get-away just turned into taken care of things that grown people created.
Another then that... the tea in the Lobby is great! And the lemon pepper wings🤷🏽♀️
Platinum reward member here- I think the best feature of the hotel is the 24/7 lounge on the first floor. I'm staying here for a wedding, but still had some work to do and was able to work and take calls from the lounge until about 1am. Nice to have the starbucks coffee/latte machine and fridges stocked with juices and water, and even a sparkling water tap available for me. Snacks available routinely during the day, and a nice meeting place for my family who also had lounge access. Rooms were okay- pretty standard with Marriott brand. Also impressed with the room service "fresh bites" for breakfast- which ended up as a better option for my family than the lounge breakfast because of timing and convenience. Food packaged really nicely. Staff didn't seem to have read my request to get a feather-free room, which is frustrating as I have an allergy and it's always in my profile in addition to a manual request. I assume the check in staff/management was just juggling a lot with the wedding party room block, but still, lacking that attention to detail is always kind of frustrating.
The renovation that was underway when I was last here seems to be complete now. It's a very comfortable and hospitable environment. The location is perfect for my business needs and many things are in easy walking distance or close to the MARTA station. The sound pollution by the terrace exit on the T floor is quite loud at the end of the hall so I had a bit of trouble sleeping through the night, and the air conditioning seemed a bit funny, but overall everything was very comfortable and pleasant. Shout out to that giant pitcher of tea with a picture of Ice T on it. I walked past it three times before I understood it and nearly died laughing when I got it. Perfection.
The hotel was overall nice. The conference room in which we had our training event was in good condition and a good size. The views from the hotel are not good unless on the top floors. Staff was very nice and rooms were clean.
Still in the middle of my stay, but Google asked me to review so here I go. Everyone here is extremely nice! The room is very clean and the beds are amazing! The bathrooms are a little small but looks good. I think the restaurant could add a few more options for breakfast and lunch. The bar has a good selection of beer, but is lacking on drafts. The conference center is great! But this is me being very picky and yet I would definitely come back
Until this week, I was an extremely loyal Marriott customer.
Contracted 20 rooms for 2 nights for this week at the Atlanta Buckhead Marriott. Signed a contract, committed to the rooms and even paid to secure them.
The hotel notified me by email that they were cancelling of all of the rooms 3 days prior to the meeting. They told me it was policy to have a rooming list with the names of each person or they had the right to cancel even though I was contracted and paid.
Coincidentally, due to the upcoming hurricane they were able to immediately add those rooms back to inventory and resell them at higher than the price I had contracted. They are now sold out and I have cancelled my meeting. My rate was $159 so if you're staying there this week and paying more than that, they likely resold you my room.
I’ve booked hundreds of meetings and thousands of rooms, never had that happen. Contracts, commitments, lifetime platinum status were all overlooked by the sales manager, Jim, to preserve (or gain) revenue on what I’d believe is a small block of rooms for that facility.
Love this hotel. Great service from front desk. From valet, not so much. Seemed more interested in getting a girl's digits than parking cars. But no biggie since I save myself $12 by self parking. The restaurant was good. Our waitress was so sweet too. The rooms are very comfortable and modern.
Typical Marriott as far as the room. Bathroom is just a bit small for a family. However, the service was absolutely great! The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The shuttle driver was pleasant and able to tell us about the local restaurant we were going to. The dining room staff were all wonderful at breakfast. I was traveling with a 5 year old and they all gave her special attention to make sure she was taken care of. The M club is a nice touch as well. Location is right across from Lenox and a block from the Marta. The room itself isn't spectacular but everything else was.
The staff were so friendly and helpful in helping me find my meeting. They had several options of free refreshment drinks like cucumber kiwi water, lemonade and tea. For the meeting they gave us a wonderful breakfast and yummy snacks with tons of options.
I attended a conference at the Marriott and had a wonderful experience. The staff there are exceptional. Everyone was so kind and accommodating to our needs. I had the experience of being assisted by Terri and Kiki, who were very hospitable and so kind to my family! I would definitely stay at the Marriott again!
I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days for a conference. The cleanliness, professionalism, and kindness were of the best I've ever witnessed. I have never been treated so well by staff behind the front desk, in cleaning, or dining room staff. They were all so amazing. I would especially like to thank two women who went above and beyond during my stay with their kindness and professionalism, Ethiopia and Cris (I believe that is her name she worked at the Starbucks). Very impressed with this hotel and I will be staying there for future visits. Thank you for amazing southern hospitality!
I rarely give five stars but I feel this hotel really deserved it! Wait staff and servers in the dining room were warm and welcoming. Very hospitable especially Ethiopia. She waited on us two days and my family and I have never felt more welcome! If you looked up a picture of warmth and hospitality you’d find her face in Merriam-Webster’s because she is just that great!. She went out of her way to be kind towards my nine year old and very enganging towards my 15 year old. Very knowledgeable about Atlanta and everything you would want in a server! This hotel regularly from me( a harsh critic) would recieve a 3.5. However it is Ethiopia and her incredible hospitality that makes this hotel worth 5 stars. She embodies the true hotel spirit and for that Bravo!
Outstanding Experience! From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you will be treated with a great experience. Everyone that works at the hotel is there to take care of you. The staff is exceptional and at all times will greet you, ask you if you need anything and thank you for staying with them. Steve the Bellman and Chris in the grill went above and beyond what is expected, as did countless other staff. Management needs to be commended for how they run this hotel. A hotel is a hotel, but the service and experience is what will make us come back. When in Atlanta, I will without a doubt stay at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Buckhead. Well done!
For those who have money to burn, it's a bit pricey for what we experienced. I understand that the location of this hotel may be the key factor in room pricing, my next selection will definitely be a different hotel with more amenities than this one AND at a much better price. It may cost me a 20 minute drive or so, but it will be worth it...avoiding the heavy road traffic, having things like softer towels and a microwave oven in the room.
To summarize: I find this hotel ok, just not the luxury expected for the area, especially considering that there are far less expensive lodging options with nicer perks.

Beautiful rooms. Elegant interior. Perfect setup for a conference. Many rooms on the floors with the conference rooms makes it extremely convenient to hold a conference. about two blocks from a MARTA station that connects directly to the airport by a 30-minute ride. Enables commuting from the airport to the hotel even faster than trying to take a cab and far cheaper. It's only $6 round trip to and from the airport.
Really nice hotel, great location to hold a conference or event. Staff was great and the food was really good too. Only issue was restaurant service was really slow but seems like their was just a communication issue. I highly recommend this location
Great place to eat on occasions. Awesome hotel. Walking distance to the malls and shopping areas. Location is great - in the heart of Buckhead and there easy access to the hotel. Marta is a 10 minute walk. Traffic is bad during rush hours around the hotel but manageable.
Staff is amazing and very friendly, rooms and hotel and clean and well kept. Food prepared by the hotel staff was good as well. I would have given 5 stars, but the mattress was terrible. I barely got any sleep the 3 days I was there.
Good rooms. Doors don't block out sound well. Could hear casual conversation really well. Food spot was okay. Of course, more is available within walking distance. Server was a wet blanket, but food was good.
Had a great stay at the hotel. Ryan at the front desk provided great service. Very friendly staff and the vallet took great care of my mustang. I'll be back soon.
Reserved 2 rooms with king beds a month ahead of the visit. When we arrived I was told the rooms were not ready and was offered 2 rooms with double beds. We took one with double beds and decided to wait on one with a king bed, I was told they would text me when the room was ready. After attending an event we arrived back at the hotel at 10 pm we still had not received a text about the room so we went to the desk to see about it. I was told they did not have any rooms with a king bed and I would have to take a room with 2 double beds. If I can't make a reservation ahead of time and Marriott honor what I reserved I don't think I will be staying at this location in the future.
